  • A good Singularity doesn't even care about EMPs, it can quickly place another Biopod and Slipstream the survivor.

In fact, in my opinion, EMPs are actually overrated, considering that they have only one use and that the killer can spam its power whenever it wants.

  • "We are aware of and sorry about the tunneling issue, which is precisely why with every update we reduce the counterplay against it, so that you can be even more sorry by it.

Still seems allright to me. You lower your attack cooldown from 2.7s to 1.3s for price of 2-3 perk slots if you wanna manage keeping stacks by celestial witness.

    "Seems alright to me".

Man you can't even unhook a teammate without getting double-tapped right in front of the hook, what are you talking about?

  • This MUST not go live as it is right now.

In this scenario, you are basically forced to either take a hit or go down no matter what. 20% Hindered for 5 seconds is absurd, survivors literally can't move.

Killers that force you to abandon loops (like Artist, Dredge, or Knight) already exist, and the optimal play for survivors is precisely to leave the area. Forcing a guaranteed hit in these situations is completely unfair and bad game design.

Aura read and beam spam until they win!

    Oh, you're not having fun?

But remember, if you equip Windows of Opportunity you're playing on auto-pilot mode!

  • Stealth is considered toxic (Distortion nuked while killers can benefit for constant Aura-Reading from most of perks/add-ons).

Gen-rush is unfun and toxic. (Hyperfocus-Stake out combo removed, BnP nuked and Prove Thyself nerfed long ago).

Looping is forbidden (Knock-Out buff punishes survivors for playing well, good luck with Artist, Dredge and Knight etc.. from now on, pallets and tiles have became unsafe/useless for the most while maps have been shrunked to the size of a closet).

Healing is too strong. (Med-Kits rarity basically removed and Syringe/Styptic nuked).

Anti-Tunneling measures weakened (Adrenaline, DS, StB, 15s to 10s unhook protection and on…).

Info perks are considered auto-pilot (WoO and FmA nuked).

    - "Why is everyone playing in an SWF, and why are my queues 20 minutes long?"

  • Oh well, obviously, it’s important to listen to the complaints of full-time content creators with 15k hours who can’t manage to get 4k for the 271st match in a row, forcing them to lower their kill rate from 82% to 81%; the problem is that they’ve forgotten to wipe the drool from their tongues.

These patch notes are truly deplorable.

  • Of course it won't change.

Tunneling and gen-regression have been buffed once again while on the other side they keep nerfing the few things that are actually useful for countering them.

They’ve even gone so far as to criticise the way survivors have to loop, punishing them for their optimal choice (check out the dev notes for the 200% buffed Knock-Out, lmao).

All the anti-tunnelling-camping-slugging measures have been torn to shreds because of all the tears, and we’re always back to square one; nothing will ever change.

  • Yeah, they're annoying as hell. Sometimes it feels like even if I run all the way to the other side of the map they're still tracking me non-stop. They're fast, and they basically cripple you from doing anything.

the first two clips looked like they were against fresh installs the third is a better showing of it (even though you have to dedicate a build for the final one) and there is no doctor clip also i expect it to be nerfed but to answer your question yes vigil and woo needed to be nerfed vigil countered everything and stacked and woo was run to yellow pre drop extend chase till the killer outplayed you

    The last one.

  • Because they don't play their own game and they never take survivor feedback into account.
I mean, look at the Myers and Trickster reworks, where the only counterplay is pre-dropping pallets like NPCs because there's no other effective way to interact with them in chase.

This killer is pure idiocracy. A guy who spams beams from across the map every 6 seconds while knowing everyone location 24/7, whose totems are impossible to cleanse, and who can defend a 3-gen while practically standing still—not to mention the exit gates, which are impossible to open if you end up in a 1v1.

Obviously, at first it was balanced by the fact that using the power actually took a bare minimum of effort. But as usual, people want everything handed to them on a silver platter without having to lift a finger, because god forbid they put in a tiny bit of effort—and voilà, we get this completely brainless abomination.

  • Why on earth, as a survivor, do I have to get crippled—because 20% for 5 seconds is massive—just because I dared to leave a loop?

What kind of logic is that? Not to mention there are tiles that are completely unsafe against certain killers or just unsafe in general that you can't rely on anyway. What is this, the loop police?

That Knock-Out buff is insane and illogic.

Justification for buffing Knock Out by 400%: Because "Survivors refuse to loop around a pallet"

"How dare you leave that useless filler pallet propped up against a tree trunk and use a safer tile nearby instead?"

"We're amputating your legs now to stop you from running, 20% Hindered and good luck, that'll teach you to loop a killer, you bad guy."

    — The Looping Police

  • There’s absolutely no need to kill ‘WoO’ – a beginner-friendly perk that’s particularly useful for solo queue. The perk is purely for information purposes and doesn’t grant any additional effects.

This new version makes no sense at all, and I expect it to be reverted because it’s disgraceful as it is now.

  • Because they clearly want killer queue times to break the 15-minute mark; apparently, the wait isn't long enough as it is.

  • Yeah, but it's always the same story at this point. Even in this "meta shake-up," most survivor perks just got tiny percentage buffs on perks that were completely useless to begin with, while the rest are straight-up nerfs to the few perks actually worth running (WoO, StB, Self-Preservation, FMA, Stake Out, Borrowed Time...).

Meanwhile, tons of killer perks got massive buffs (Whispers basically giving a FLAT 5% Haste to the killer just for roaming the map now).

  • This game hasn't been surv-sided for years at this point; that's not even an opinion, it’s a well-established fact, backed up by official statistics.

Anyone who refuses to face reality is merely exposing their skill issue, or is simply stuck in 2018 and keeps parroting the same old lines in an attempt to justify their bad games.

That some are on this list is really laughable. E.g. Hope and Adrenaline, Perks which only activate in Endgame, which the Survivor might not even reach, should be strong. The partial revert of Adrenaline will not make the Perk more viable.

But for me, the biggest Joke here is Distortion. Because it was truely gutted and this mainly due to Killer complaints. First because suddenly Killers were worried about rat behavior (lol) and then because they claimed they could not find people due to Distortion. Rat behavior still exists and will always exist, all the Distortion nerf did was make those people even less efficient. And not being able to find Survivors… I am really wondering how Killers do it who dont even run Aura Read Perks.

Fast Track is missing on your list. Perk got gutted to the point that it is even worse than before it was buffed.

And then Killer players complain about Survivors running the same Perks all the time…

Yeah, always the same old story.

Every few months they wake up and decide which perk to whine about. They do it to the point of clogging up the entire communities, and BHVR has no choice but to give in to them—just like kids throwing a tantrum at the grocery store because their parents won't buy them a pack of candy; eventually, they get sick of it and just buy it to shut them up.

The Sprint Burst nerf is just the appetizer for what’s coming soon: all the other exhaustion perks are already on their radar, and before long, they’ll start crying to get those nuked too.

Word on the street is they’re even eyeing on Calm Spirit (ironic, but not far off).

  • You’ve forgotten to mention:

    - MFT
    - Adrenaline
    - Distortion
    - Spine Chill
    - DS
    - Deliverance
    - Hope
    - Self-Care

  • Yet another survivor perk right into the trashbin.

Wonder why killer queues take 15 mins, have fun playing Minesweeper while you wait buddies.

  • Because it's one of the few half-decent survivor perks left.

As a vigil main, I think the new values are still more than before buff? It's still going to be strong

Sprint burst is the one I'm side eyeing, I don't use it personally, I've always used balanced landing. I'm worried this is going to be a trend of targetting exhaustion perks.

Yet hyper mobility killers still exist in the game, I feel if we are targetting mobility on one side we really should be looking at it on the other also. This is a slippery slope.

They've already touched Adrenaline, Hope and now they are going to reduce the Unhook Protection to 10s.

Get ready for the other exhaustion perks to be addressed very soon.

  • They’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel; we’ll barely have 4 decent perks for a survivor build in the near future except for those annoying healing builds.

It’d be best if the reworks for all those perks (they’ve mentioned 45) turned out to be any good, because I don’t know where this is all heading.

  • Double standards as always, just like in the wake of the DBD Twitter.

As far as I can remember, the last 20 events have all been heavily in the killers’ favour (apart from the Halloween one three years ago, I think), and the moment there’s even the slightest thing of interest for the survivors, the overreacting and whingeing starts.

Moreover, the poison available to killers in this event is particularly strong; it basically ends the chase in an instant because the survivor just starts walking.

  • I’ve been reading posts like this every so often for years now.

There has never been any real change, either in terms of gameplay or in terms of meta perks, balance, etc…

That’s just the way this game is, and always will be.

  • He hasn’t been nerfed at all; in fact, it’s now much stronger.

However, it has completely lost its spirit and uniqueness. He has simply become yet another dash-slop killer with the classic mindless chase that involves running from pallet to pallet.

  • Myers 100%.

Look at how he’s been handled over the last 10 years: left untouched for almost the entire time, rendering him a virtually useless killer unless you were using specific builds, only to then be reworked so badly that he’s lost his true identity.

The most iconic horror killer of all time, reduced to a senseless, frenzied dash-slop.

  • Playing as a Survivor can encourage tunneling at this point

  • Man, I went to bed because I was knackered and fed up with waiting for nothing, but it seems they’re still carrying on with this farce and nothing’s been revealed yet.

  • The one thing this community certainly doesn’t lack is patience.

After 10 years, it’s become so used to being treated like dirt that this is practically nothing.

  • Majority of pallets and fillers are utterly trash and they’ve even removed some of the few good ones, like those on Disturbed Ward and Lerys.

  • 10 seconds does seem a bit too long, but it should definitely be possible to activate it twice per match if it really has to last 4 seconds

  • This happens when they make reworks without giving the slightest consideration to the survivors' feedback.

This new Myers is one of the most brain-dead things I've ever seen—an uncounterable dash-slop instakill because most of the loops have been reduced to the length of a bench, and on top of that, he doesn't even have to worry about the already unsafe pallets.

Is T3 over? No problem, just wait 10 seconds and start over.

There’s basiclaly no chase; it’s just a guy spamming lunges at random while you drop pallets like a noob, hoping to land the stuns—otherwise, that's on you.

More importantly, are Legion still gonna be dead in a ditch come April 28th?

It's been so long that I'm even looking forward to getting dunked on repeatedly in 1V4 by Survivors way above my pay grade. Seriously, this a mode that I basically never play when 2V8 is live, that's how much I'm missing them.

They said he would be back with the next update, so the 28th is the day

  • There’s nothing to solve because there isn’t any problem.

  • Spaghetti code at its finest

  • To be honest, facing a trickster has never been this much fun.

  • I’m pretty sure this is just yet another case of overreaction.

Any excuse will do to bring up the argument that ‘now killers are forced to tunnel because of this perk/item etc…’, as if they hadn’t been doing it since the dawn of time – it doesn’t hold water anymore, in my view.

  • It seems there's a spawning issue on some maps; sometimes you can already hear the killer’s approaching sound theme and the heartbeat during the trial's loading phase with the killer spawning right behind one of the survivors
