A lot of people like to argue that Overcharge is a very good perk.A lot of people also have the reflexes of a high school white girl on her phone.
The fact of the matter is, if you can consistently hit Great Skill Checks, then you can consistently hit Overcharge Skill Checks. They are not that hard, and if you think otherwise, it's a simple matter of git gud. Besides, the punishment for failing an Overcharge Skill Check isn't all that harsh. Between the original fail regression on top of the added Overcharge regression, the penalty can be erased in about 10 seconds or less—even without toolboxes, Perks, or another Survivor to help you.
Because of this, I propose a buff to Overcharge to make it actually usable at high ranks.
Overcharge
Overcharge a generator by performing the break generator action. An Overcharged generator regresses 30/40/50% faster and the next Survivor to initiate repairs on that generator will be faced with a moderately/considerably/tremendously difficult Skill Check. If they fail the Skill Check, the Killer is notified and the generator will continue to regress for 5/10/15 seconds, during which it cannot be repaired. While I like the idea in general, it would make the 3-gen situation really annoying^^

Those people who disconnect as soon as they go down in a game? Yes they should be punished, they ruin thr game for others.
Those who disconnect because someone else disconnected and now its 3 people expected to do 5 gens? No, they shouldn't be forced to stay in a crappy game where the odds are stacked against them. They shouldn't be punished because someone else rage quit. Same applies when only 3 people load in. Nobody wants to play those games. You shouldn't depip for backing out.
Lag and being teleported is also another legit reason to D/C, but hopefully the dedicated servers fix that. Can't expect someone to stay in a game where they're getting teleported all over.
They could implement a system that would allow you to exit the game legitimately afetr a DC, a lot of games have that too (overwatch for example). But that would probably too much work and I would gladly take punishment for every DC if we can get rid of these crybaby ragequitters.
And it shouldnt be that hard to just walk up to the killer and suicide on the hook, as survivor you always have a way out

Jup invinite matchtime the BIG ingame issue killers suffer: if he realizes he can't catch a survivor fast enough he has to make a choice; chasing him wasting time getting a down but giving other survivors time doing objectives... or give up and patrol gens to drive off other survivors in hope getting a easier chase but during that he's giving time to escaped survivor to go for a objective while he bought time for everyone else... Killers can prolong matches with gen defense but for what goal? None, that's why i look forward to "Last Year": that game is balanced in the core mechanics... DbD core mechanics are outdated now and need a rework... or at least a timelimit for survivors to give them pressure killers can utilize just with their presenceYou might be dissapointed.
When I checked out last year, it was a gigantic killer-bullying simulator, even worse than DBD -

I've just recently started playing killer (full disclosure, not the greatest survivor either lol), and this one group of survivors kept body slamming into me and getting hit.I understand the idea is to slow me down from the hooks so the one on being carried can wiggle free, but all it did was get everyone injured and my victim still on the hook.
Now... I'm rank 20. I started playing killer like 3 days ago. Been playing survivor since halloween. These guys seemed to have the idea of the tactic down, but I never really understood it, since it just seems like you end up with a whole team of injured. Were they just screwing it up, or is there an actual viable tactic there?
The idea of this strategy is that this way, they can protect survivors you already hooked. If you have to 2-hook everyone before you get a kill, then you are losing the game due to gentime.
However, the survivors need to be somehow coordinated and familiar with loops or otherwise they will all go down -
Yes for some reaosn they gave an insane buff to BT.

Curious.
Usually I remove survivors first from the game that annoy me (flashlight clickers etc). Also if you wear a bright skin, chances are high that I go for you

So during beta testing everyone was screaming that Legion was OP. And now everyone is saying he's useless, worst killer, etc.I'm currently enjoying him a lot. I played like about 8 game's with him and 5 of them were all 4k matches. And I had at least 2 others i had at least 2 picks. And these were in top tier matches.
Now ive deranked because of the season ending, so I dont really count these current game's as a real test of skill. But not only is Legion really good, but he's a TON of fun to play. Especially if played properly. I've been watching streams of these "NUMBER 1 LEGION PLAYER IN THE WORLD I'M THE FLIPPING BEST LOOK AT HOW GREAT I AM" type streams, and they just play him like any other killer. And I'm like ??? You're playing him wrong lol. And then they just tunnel until they down a person. Which...is fine I guess? But when you're spamming your ability to catch and slap the same person over and over you're really not using Legion efficiently. You're supposed to be disruptive and all over the map.
So why don't YOU like Legion? What are your thoughts?
Uhm the community complained during beta that he is too weak, just like we are still complaining since the devs ignored us.
So why do I dislike legion? The answer is simple, I dont like killers that are not designed to kill but rather to waste everyones time. Even if versing him should result in a win with competent mates, the playstyle isnt fun at all if you ask me

Sth needs to be done about toxicity for sure, but tunneling and camping is not toxic. Actually guys like you prevent the system to work properly by spamming false reports
And yes the rank system is a poor joke
I'm curious if you feel as though survivors can't be toxic either. This topic is a revolving door. I say it's toxic to tunnel and camp, as a result every survivor runs with DS and purple flashlights. Technically, neither side is "illegal" but just garbage playing in my opinion. Survivors are penalized for grabbing other survivors off of hooks, to discourage farming, but does a killer receive the same penalty for re-hooking so quickly? If a survivor dc's, the killer gets awarded points for the dc. The survivors however are now at a disadvantage trying to finish 5 gens with 3 people. No points are given for a dc to a survivor. If a killer dc's, survivors lose their offering and are safe from a depiping but again the rank doesn't matter so the killer doesn't lose anything whereas depending on the offering, survivors could lose a couple thousand BP on an offering they never actually got to use.
The tunneling/camping problem could be solved the same as it is with a survivor standing still for too long. If a killer sits inside (say a 15 meter range) of a hooked survivor for too long, they get penalized. Similar to a survivor getting crows over their heads. If a survivor gets penalized for farming someone off a hook, the killer should receive a similar penalty for rehooking the same survivor within say 10 seconds of being taken off.
This still allows the killer to down the survivor if they choose, to go back to them after 10 seconds, but gives the survivors an opportunity to make a play to save them. If that is too much, then give the survivors the ability to reject someone who is clearly going to farm them, I'd rather stay on the hook for additional time if it means when I do get taken off, I'm a little bit safer.
Runing a flashlight isnt toxic, but if you click with it for example, thats toxic

If you say that its toxic to camp and tunnel, then thats your opinion but the devs stated pretty clear that those are legit strategies. And yes, DCing needs to be strictly punished, it completely ruins games.
We already have an emblem penalty for camping btw, just liek you suggested

Like, listen guys I love ya but when your player-base unanimously decides that a new killer is weak and you respond like this it just has no positive outcome.
Add to that the fact that other bugs are running rampant , I think a lot of us want you to slow down and contain chapter releases to twice a year.
If your whole plan is really to go the distance with a five year plan, you can not overburden yourselves with releasing new chapters every 3 months. Was that during the devstream?
Im not against it, they have to completley kill their own game first before the appropiate balance changes can happen

@ItsTrixinity said:
We all know they implemented a little QoL addition where the survivor that just got unhooked won't take any damage for like a second or two to prevent the survivors from getting downed immediately after getting unhooked but it isn't shown on screen or really that useful as most of the times, killers' hit still register and back on hook the survivor goes.Disclaimer: This is not exactly a nerf towards killers. It has been implemented at the moment but not as effective and thus, some changes to this effect which is suggested below will at least make it more viable.
Balance Changes
- Immune Effect applies onto the unhooked survivor after being unhooked.
- Immune Effect lasts for 2.5 seconds. (Starts ticking after unhooked survivor lands on ground)
- Unhooked survivor takes no damage when Immune Effect is active.
UI
- New Immune Effect is shown on the right of the screen where other effects take place to better indicate immunity.
That's all for now.

every round is 1 of 4 things.
1. Camper
2. Killer with ######### signal that puts you at a blatant disadvantage
3. DC leaving you at a blatant disadvantage.
4. Legitimately skilled killer that kicks the teams ass.
yes, there are the occasional rounds where I'm not matched up with potatoes or run into a killer who genuinely doesn't get sweaty for kills... but you mix all of this with the lack of bloodpoints and the current bugs in the game, one of which refuses to accumulate my co-op actions for the daily ritual and its just one frustration after the other.
and yea, I could go on to list the myriad of bugs that plague this game, but a quick browse through this forum and you'll see it laid out for you.
the devs have done a great job in many ways, I won't pretend that the game isn't good, but the cons weigh out the pros far too horribly.
seriously bhvr, you need to fix this game, as it is it just feels like a shameless money grab from your customers. -
Yes bugs and glitches....
Killer melee weapons don't have hitboxes, we have hitcones as the devs described in a recent stream
BP are independent of the emblem system
You are not rewarded for looping because it's the goal to lose the killer (which is rewarded)
Sth needs to be done about toxicity for sure, but tunneling and camping is not toxic. Actually guys like you prevent the system to work properly by spamming false reports

Not my opinion but I'm gonna make it anyway.Omg Legion is 4 different people. That's like 12 killers plus another 4.
Dbd has over 1000 killers if you include variations in cosmetics. Each with a potential of 3600 different perk combinations, 18 different offerings and 16 different add ons per killer.
That's 135,000 different killers in dbd. And what that there's gonna be more wahhhhh.
This point hasn't been made for a while, what do you think about the ever increasing numbers of killers?
I dont trust this math
-
Well the devs promised to buff freddy and technically (even though he got nerfed this patch too) he is not as weak compared to other killers than before

the survivors can finish all gens in a bit less than 110 seconds (assuming only good, no perfect skillchecks, no toolboxes)

So this is a topic that I've always been curious about but have never seen a real direct answer, so hopefully somebody can clear the air for me. I think everyone is familiar with the whole basement stair scenario, where someone is rescued from the basement hooks with borrowed time, and the killer stands at the top of the stairs for a chunk of time until the effect wears off. This has been in the game for a very long time, and I've never heard any news about making any changes, but is this something that was intended by the devs? It seems a little broken to be able to hard counter a perk like that without any real mechanics. Is this something that is a reportable offense? I'm not trying to sound like a whiny survivor main, just hoping to get a clear answer about something that brings me much frustration.Bodyblocking to let the BT timer run off is definitely intended design.
The only thing thats reportable is if the killer is locking you in the basement to hodl you hostage (i.e. 10 mins or sth and no timer ticking down) -
Well performance on PC isnt even that good.
Im nor surprised that this is the result when you play on a low performance machine

Camping is actually a really bad and weak strategy. Once you stand 2 minutes afk in front of the hook, all gens should be done and the other 3 survivors should have an easy escape.
IN reality however, the entitled survivors throw themselves at the hook and crying about "noob strats" afterwards, but if you are using your brain (apparemtöly you've played games long enough to make logical conclusions), then you see that its the survivors who make this a viable strategy.
Now we can ask ourselves why that is the case. My answer to this is sad, but the devs have catered to survivors for so long (look this dlc for example) that they have been never forced to adapt and refuse to do so if they can get "camping fixed" for example by crying enough.
Thats why there is so much negative input if you request a "camp fix"That is only the case in a SWF group though, or one where the hooked survivor just happens to have Kindred. A non-SWF group will almost ALWAYS spend too much time trying to figure out if the guy is being camped. And, for better or worse, most non-SWF groups don't want to just let some random guy die on the hook, so they do spend more time waiting to see if the killer will leave, or assume that the other survivor is doing generators. The hook gymnastics is not known to everyone, and a lot of players assume that it means "COME SAVE ME!"
A lot of issues with camping would be resolved if Kindred was removed as a perk and just part of the base kit. Would even the gap between solo and SWF. As the original OP appears to be running as a solo-queue survivor, camping is harder hit on him.
As a solo survivors I disagree, usually its very obvious when a killer camps.
And by the way, its usually the SWF groups that are too entitled to do gens and suicide for their mates.
I completely ignore hook gymnasics btw, all I need is take advantage of my third person and that the killer is easy to identify and of the terrorradius. -
