All sorts of known bugs have been introduced into the live build

@Peasant said:
So for some meme survivor gameplay while doing rituals earlier I was playing as Quentin Smith using Pharmacy, Botany Knowledge, Streetwise, and Self-Care and minding my own business. However, once I entered the basement in these games I became trapped for a short duration. There was no killer blocking the entrance, I would just get teleported back to the center upon crossing the threshold of the exit. In one game I couldn't even open the unlooted basement chest, much to my disappointment. Has anyone else had this problem recently? I want to see whether or not this was an isolated incident. Its one of the countless bugs of this midchapter patch. Praise QA btw
You are nto supposed to interact with the basement chest, apparently thats a big problem
-
I wonder whether someone tried this with normal green toolboxes+yellow speed addon too.
BNP is probably a bit overkill, you cant use it every game, but you can use a green toolbox every game.... -
It has become so easy with the emblem system that I cant really tell.
Even if you purposely try to avoid piping and dont even hook survivors, only let them bleed out, you still will pip. Piping has become so easy that you literally need to go full AFK or DC in order to derank, thats our situation currently

Yeah, next 3 games, got camped again. It might be cause bbq has a counter now. They need to add more time on the hook or a perk to counter camping. Also the quality of survivors at rank 1 is just laughable. The ranking system is terrible. So many problems with this game I am so tempted to give up.I seriously dont know what the communit expected.
Of course, if the BBQ anti-camping incentive is heavily nerfed, then of course this will affect camping -
Even the generator animation broke, amazing job BHVR

I only know what Ive readon the forum since I dont play on PS4. But apparently survivor queue times are awful while killer queues are instant. This leads me to the conclusion that the killer gameplay has drawn away a lot of killers. And honestly, im not surprised, I wouldnt want to play killer with controller and bad fps either
@Master im really hoping it is a bug and not a player base issue. The game was free like 4 months ago.
Well, as long as killer have insta lobbies, then it doesnt seem to be a bugg.
You need both sides to play the game, so if killers can play, but survivors have long queue times, then its due to a lack of killers. If there was a matchmaking bug, then both sides would feel that, wouldnt they?
I dont think the killer base has left the game, when it became free I think more survivors joined than killers and threw off the ratio because more casual gamers who really don't care will play survivor only and nothing else but people who get caught up in the game play both sides and enjoy it , while it was free alot of survivors we're getting anyone they knew on PlayStation to download it and play with them to have a low rank friend , so my theory is we had a massive boost in survivors joining while the killers just moderately had a boost due to some people finding better games to play when it was bugged so bad then
Its quite some time ago that DBD got f2p on PS and shortly after that there were no killer shortages afaik?

DBD would have more action, more frenetic, more intensityagree?
Do you mean 110 vs 125 or 110 vs 126.5, the first would would be a killer nerf.
Also latency would become an even bigger problem+10% extra base speed for both
Its a mathematical difference, are we talking about percentage points or about actual percentages of the percentage values? Either its 125 or 126.5 then

Why when a killer has a really good match 4 survivors all hooked 3 times. 4 kills. Maxed out most of the scoring and plenty of bloodpoints do you they get the most toxic and inappropriate messages from the survivors. You are not supposed to kill them, only toy with them and pretend to kill them, thats what they want

Can you please make it so killer's are less likely to tunnel you, im tired of playing games where i get hooked and as soon as im unhook killer's with dart straight for me again, you should make it so killer's lose alot more BP for tunneling someone who they just gotten hooked. i find it unfair that there desire is to kill someone quick without hooking someone else yet. it honestly makes the game dull. like if you get unhooked and a killer swats you down again with in like 20/30 secs maybe more they lose like 10% or 20% of there blood points earned for tunneling. there def needs to be a penalty for that, samething with face camping, granted you lose 1% plus more which the highest i have seen was 4% but seriously need to go harder on these penalties on killer's.Only if survivors are punished for tunneling gens

If this is true, I swear there trying to push people away from playing killer at this point
Apparently they sucessfully managed that on PS4 already if I look at the survivor queue complains

The truth is that BHVR will NEVER go through the trouble of developing two versions of the same game.
The devs decided to hide the perks because SWF were able to comunicate the killers perks after they died and their mates still ingame were able to take an unfair advantage out of that. (That has nothing to do with console/PC btw)
Thats why I say its important that we get ingame voice comms, only this way the gap between SWF and soloplayer can be closed properly
-
We know this since the depip squad experiment, and the devs stated that they aware of the balance issues.
Now we only have to wait until they come up with a solution

Survivors hate when they cant feel safe while loopingNot the main issue...Nurse is even better at avoiding loops, she is literally unloopable and players don’t complain as much about her as they do Legion. Legion has been out for a month and is already the least liked killer on BOTH survivor and killer side
Survivors hate nurse too

Survivors hate when they cant feel safe while loopingHe’s the worst killer to have ever have been made. Everything is fundamentally wrong with him. He is weak as hell, but the one poor soul he chooses can never win. It should be the exact opposite. Survivors should be able to outplay in chase, but the killer should be threatening to everyone at once. It’s basically a 3 Escape with some guy being absolutely tortured as they are cut by an unavoidable butter knife. Literal death by a thousand cuts
Yes its just bad design..... Just like freddy he needs a rework ASAP, but we missed our chance and didtn complain enough. Now he will stay in this way forever since BHVR wont get money for reworks...

Last night I ran into a depipping killer twice. He didn't offer anything or use any add-ons. He would wait until the game loaded in then quit immediately to depip by 2 pips. Made us lose our offerings both times. The first time he was around rank 3, the second time he was at rank 6 meaning he did it many times. This is unacceptable. I reported him but this is Xbox so IDK what will happen if anything. If you're gonna do that at least have the courtesy to message the survivors so we know not to use offerings (or leave if we don't want the free 5k BP).We are not supposed to report DCing. There is an automatic system that will trigger if the DC rate exceeds an absurdly high rate. Certain fogstreamers have proved already that its ok to dernak by DCing in order to hover at certain ranks.
Oh and just a note, you will get punished for falsefy reporting too

It's not a false report, one of the options literally says "disconnecting from the game" and one of the options under Xbox reports is "quit early". Tell me how if the killer leaves right when the game starts as a way to depip it is a false report.
The stupid ######### people say around here I swear man...
Just for the last stupid kid, I will post you the link:

Abolishing it how? So a past rank 1 survivor has the chance to go against a new player and soil their initial experience with the game? The current iteration of the system may suck, but at least it prevents new players from getting smashed initially for the most part There are several comments discussing this.
New players would be the exception and be isolated from most players.
We had a thread today from a rank 20 killer that was complaining that nobody joined his lobby for an hour.
So?
All that shows is that the current system is ineffective at helping new players.
How does that show that removing ranks, and then creating a system for new players would be bad?
I was just trying to point out how the system that is supposed to protect the beginners hurts them actually

Let me get this straight. So a survivor goes to vault the window and I catch them, but mid animation the game decides "Nah, they can go" and the survivor vaults through the window. And then when playing the Doc, I shock a survivor approximately 2 second before they're able to reach the window to vault it, meaning they shouldn't be able to vault right? Apparently not, because in the middle of them screaming the survivor hopped right through the window. This happens multiple times, and the survivors were even able to drop pallets mid game. This game is broken? Yes.

Because so many said in the last post that the reason tru3 got genrushed was he played
Doc
Did mistakes (aka didn't left the injured survivor to go for a healthy who was working on a gen next to him)
Nurse quick chases and no big mistakes.
Last gen popped in 4 minutes.
The only "mistake" he did was not committing to slug or pick up the obsession DS. But if those seconds can make you lose as killer while as survivor u can chill and jerk around it just confirms how unbalanced it is.
Now what?
So what? We know that the game is not balanced.
Even the devs acknowledged this after the depip squad experiment.
Of course nothing has changed, BHVR is still working on secondary objectives (I hope) and no changes have been made to the gen mechanic
Just wanted to shut down the arguments about the other genrush post cuz they said this only happens if you play a killer like doc and "ignore an injured survivor to apply gen pressure"
Also, WE know DbD is unbalanced but there are many many many people who think otherwise. Just read what people say in this post and you will shake your head till you lose it.
Just give it up.
People will just tell you to git gud, its a lost case.Something really needs to happen (enough killers taking a break e.g.) until we see change stuff.
Personally Im so sick doing this gamble, one game I 4k with ease without a single gen done, next game I get completely genrushed. Same on survivor side, one game 5 min ez win, the other game my survivors literally just came home from the kindergarden.
Ive decided to take a break from DBD, I will watch and observe what BHVR will do...

I would pull out all my hair if I had to play killer with controller aim and low fps. Seriously, huge respect to console killer mains

If you’re planning on applying pressure, they should be your target, and if you’re camping, it’s always smarter to get the gurenteed down on the rescuer. Quit complainingYou apply pressure, chase a survivor across the map, but he simply decides to rush the hook and there is nothing you can do because BT allows for yolo saves.
"Just apply pressure" Forehead

Even solo players can communicate with each other via the platforms voice chat or messaging system.
If you are really unsure whether the killer cheated, simply take a break, stretch for a minute and wait until the game is over. It really doesnt take too long, unless there is a survivor holding the game hostage hiding in some bush, but that doesnt happen too often -
@Ichmag said:
Hiding the killers perks and addons from swf has been a needed change since release. But hiding it for solo players aswell is just #########. I just want to see the killers perks without having to wait for the game to end. Is there nothing that can be done to seperate solo players vs swf players?First of all, the matchmaking doesnt differ between solo and SWF players, so there is not even the knowledge right now to make a difference.
But even then, people can still talk to each other over steam, use PS or steam voice comms or wahtever and abuse that knowledge like they did before.

@MasterI think people who believe DBD has a ranking system should play Dota 2 for a month and see if they can manage to reach the higher ranks there as well. Maybe that'll teach them what a ranking system is.
It's really mind-blowing that if so many bad people reach rank 1 and admit not understanding the game fully yet, others still deny this experience, and if not that the facts.
DBD has the most deceitful seasonal grinding system there is.
Exactly, every rank system is built such that the majority of players hover at gold/silver which would be corresponding roughly to rank 15-10 in DBD. Most of the players should actually never be able to pass rank 10 for example, but you can easily do that in a few days....

I will certainly create even more problems.
I cant wait until 360ing doesnt happen in realtime...... will be lots of funOkay, tsulan has a very valid point, but what you’re complaining about is blatant host privledge, stop being so prissy. Even with absolutely insane fps drop on my PS4 I hit 360’s. You need to get better if you can’t hit them. I’m not gonna sacrifice a fix to dodging, connection issues, lag switching, cheating, faster bans, and most of all..... removing a killer on ps4’s ability to delete survivor save data by closing application... all because your ass can’t back up a few feet and not lunge into the next dimension. There is way too much to lose by not including dedicated servers.
Oh dont get me wrong, dedicated servers are desperately needed for DBD.
However, i fear that BHVR will rush things and that dedicated servers will bring a lot of issues up that will take them ages to fix (as they usually do).You know how every survivor complains about being hit from a meter away due latency. Thats just a killer moving at 115, chasing behind a 100 target. No weird rotatiosn involved, just linear movement.
Now imagine how this would apply to 360ing where the survivors rotate in unnatural speed and you are still supposed to hit him. I see two solutions for this problem that BHVR can take, either they ignore the problem and it will become luck whether you hit a 360ing survivor or they do sth like the weird billy chainsaw hitboxes to compensate.
Also I can ensure you that huntress will suffer enormly when dedicated servers are out.

It's not that easyAre you an Unreal Engine developer with intimate knowledge of the code?
Yes I have intimate knowledge of the code, no I am not an unreal engine developer.
In DBD hits are registered via a hitcone mechanic. The engine doesnt even check whether the weapon collides with the survivors hitbox, thats not how hitting works in this game. -

@MasterWell there wont be a navy seal duo of killers every game too. It wont happen frequently that a team of 2 skilled killers do go through the effort of utilising high lvl strategies which would break the chase gameplay.
So its still fine, just like 4 man navy seals are
There doesn't need to be a navy seal due every game. You barely need a brain or proper execution to utilise the broken part about the 2 killer mode, unlike in swf, you do actually still need skill, contrary to popular belief.
There doesn't need to be a navy seal due every game. You barely need a brain or proper execution to utilise the broken part about the SWF coordination, unlike in killermode, you do actually still need skill, contrary to popular belief.
Now lets use some actual arguments instead of just using empty words as you did.
A duo of killers will have to act together dynamically in a chase (assuming this is even the best strategy), they are both two moving targets and have to chase another moving target. Then there is SWF, you have 3 stationary targets and a survivor being chased by the killer. Everything is really predictable and there is no dynamical interaction

@OrionThen the answer is yes. SWF's create very unintended effects, as evidence by perk designs like Hex: The Third Seal.
And this is undeniably problematic.The bonus of this however; It doesn't happen frequently that a team of 4 skilled survivors do go through the effort of utilising high level strategies that would otherwise make the game problematic since they can win normally;
the principle of low effort reigns supreme.Things that get rendered useless, like Hex The Third Seal are also not parts of the core gameplay.
Now with 2 killers the 2 points made above are both false:
It doesn't take high level strategies to just chase the same survivor with 2 killers and second;
This mechanic unlike SWF doesn't break perks like The Third Seal; it breaks the entire chasing mechanic.
That is the point.
Well there wont be a navy seal duo of killers every game too. It wont happen frequently that a team of 2 skilled killers do go through the effort of utilising high lvl strategies which would break the chase gameplay.

(Is ganging up on survivors.)I won't lie, I want a two killer mode as much as the next guy. However, we will never see this mode in-game until we can figure out how to prevent two killers from cornering a survivor and insta-downing them via the power of friendship.
The biggest problem of a game with two killers would be killers abusing the sheer power of two killers. You could have a friend run Agitation, Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, and Territorial Imperitive and be your hooker (pun partially intended) while you run your normal build. You two hunt together and you escort them to the basement, if the survivor escapes you can just smack them down. This can be used to drag players into the basement and ruin the game for all survs as the presence of two killers running to catch basement rescuers results in a guaranteed down for everyone.
Unless the devs were to add invincibility and no killer collision after a hit to combat two killers cornering a healthy survivor I cannot fathom how to the devs would balance the gamemode a number of us crave.
Well apparently its ok when sth doesnt happen every game, so the navy seals duo would be balanced.....
