  • Xbox is more likely to get cross play (with pc/switch) than Sony. Apparently Sony doesn't like the idea anymore, but hOpe fully they can be persuaded

But he doesn't use NOED these days is what I'm saying, even though it's an incredibly powerful option available to him.

Think you completely missed the point of my post btw. I'm saying a video like this doesn't prove that survivors are OP, it proves that DS is OP. There w as that video where tru3 playing survivor goes against a Huntress and loops for 5 gens then all 4 get killed at the end due to the noed crutch. I could have posted that and said killers are OP, or iridescent head/infantry belt combo and ebony mori.

My point is there is a lot of BS things available to players on both sides and it does you no favours trying to play sportsmanlike by not using some becauase chances are the other side will sure as hell be using theirs.

Survivors manage to hide for hours if they want to (to hold you hostage) , they can become one with the shadowß if they want to. But if all 4 of them are not scared and throw themselves at a noed killer then it'd their own fault. I see it all the time in my games, everyone rushing the gates and hooks as if they had nothing to fear. I'm crouching alone trying to find noed while my whole team gets downed in a few seconds.

Why? There is no timer that forces them to do that, no they are just impatient

I only watched up until he got dstriked. huntress is really strong at shack and he ######### up A LOT. it was pretty entertaining honestly to see someone loop a huntress there for so long

The shack actually is not a good place for huntress, a competent survivor knows how to avoid being hit and will make get a 110%.

If you know better, pleas explain the strategy that you are supposed to follow

  • If you never do them, then they will never change. There is the option to reroll one per day though

I wouldn’t waste the time healing to begin with honestly. Unless a lot of pallets have been used and you’re in a bad area, you should be able to outrun Legion if they aren’t using their frenzy. Keyword: should.

    Indeed, should

Most survivors overestimate their abilities and screw themselves by not healing

On PS4 I rarely see a dc even with mori.

Survivors had to wait for the lobby so long that they grumble and deal with the mori? XD

  • Had enough with these ######### SWFs switching to purple flashlight Claudettes, all running adrenaline, all on comms together.

    Welcome to DBD.

ever thought about trying to learn nurse if you dont like billy? She is the only one that can keep up with SWF

  • You down the survivor, you carry him to the hatch,t hen you drop him 5 meters away and watch him crawl to it. Then you mori him out of the sudden

No, 1000s hrs as Survivor...I don't play as Killer. Before yesterday I never once saw someone Killed before hooking unless I just wasn't paying close enough attention to other survivors. And I had never been killed myself before being hooked at least once first

We all know that you dont play killer, thats why you think like that

  • @The_Crusader said:

I honestly don't get why the loading screen issues are taking so long. It has been months. I would imagine this is a priority fix for them too.

I think they asked for feedback before so I'm assuming its because rhey can't find the cause?

I can only talk about the situation on PC, but loading screen DCs probably make up max. 5% of all DCs

  • @Peanits said:

I don't see why not. This isn't the sort of game where you're at a significant advantage by using a mouse/keyboard. Survivors move the same regardless of your control type, as do killers. Certain killers can be a little harder to use on controllers (nurse, huntress), but the survivors you're playing against aren't going to change that.

Not to mention having everyone playing together means faster and better matches, and make it possible to play with a friend who plays on a different platform.

Bill might be an issue, though, since he's PC exclusive.

It would be pretty cool. Hopefully this will be possible once dedicated servers come along, although I don't believe this is planned for now.

There could be the possibility that if you enable cross platform on PC, then you cant select Bill. Sure would not be optimal, but since survivors are only skins anyway.....

  • Mhm I am playing currently too and my first game for the daily mori - 1 loading screen DC, 2 ingame DCs (luckily the last guy was willing to get moried, so I didnt have to repeat)

Next game, no DC, actually sth surprising nowadays

Next game 2 man SWF DCed after they failed to flashlight bully me

Next game 3 DC, when the DS toxic squad rushes the hook to hard and gets slugged

lovely, so many months to go.....

  • No worries, summer will hopefully see a proper DC penalty so that you can play killer

Survivor lobbies will take long as long as killer gameplay is so awful (ur console I assume?)

  • Grab sprint burst, DS, spine chill/premonition and a 4th one you prefer. (BT if you wanna take it to the extreme)

    Then grab an additional flashlight.

But be warned, he will DC

But some killers were tunneling so much it really sucked the fun out of the game for a lot of people.

Just slug if you bump into them. Slows survivors down but they dont take a hook. Its good for both sides. I used to slug when people got unhooked in front of me anyway. It stopped me from being hurt with genrush but it also gave that survivor a second chance.

And slugging is more fun for the survivors?
Oh boy, the salt I collect with my slugging builds.....

If its a full slugging build and you're trying to slug everyone no.

If its a quick slug IF you're caught fresh off the hook, it's preferrable imo to another hook.

Quick slugg? we are talking about 60 seconds here lol, thats a full hook stage

  • @Saint_Ukraine said:

I mean, killers already get a Rage Quit bonus, so do we really need something that punishes survivors for their team members leaving? They've already been punished by that survivor alone by losing a possible asset. Think about it.

Yes the killer gets 2,5k BP for 4 DCs in TOTAL while he loses everything that he brought into the match

  • No bandaid fixes. Prevent DCing in the first place, with harsh punishment

Btw your gen repair thingy on the survivor can easily be abused

  • C'mon, he goes from one side of the map to the other with no counter, the nurse has one, make him the speed as the huntress or something, he just has no counter against him....even with corners, people know how to play him, billy's wait for people to do a rescue and then down both people...

C'mon learn to loop the billy.

  • Hi guys, I've read in recent days that "Behavior" has released 4 original killers in a row because they had an agreement with starbreeze that "forced" to create 4 original killers in a row, so no killer licensed in the last year have been published.

I dont see why starbreeze would request that or why BHVR should accept that

  • Once again, I am not surprised.

You would have to pay me to play killer on PS4.

    But maybe crossplay..... ?

  • And another new acc goes into the trash.......

We don’t have a clear answer currently from any of the devs yet. I’m sure it’ll be discussed over the Summer when Dedicated Servers roll out though! 😄

Then it would be too late, things like that need to be taken into account early

  • Thats why I will never play with streamers again.

I learned my lesson and I will only play with streamers I know (and are not "of that kind")

Unfortunately, that's not the case as consoles run at a lower fps and have more drops and spikes when things happen. It's not just using the controller in this instance, like fortnite, but how the game actually runs.

BHVR just made a post that they are aiming for 60 fps on consoles very soon,so that shouldnt be a deal

  • @The_Crusader said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/341972#Comment_341972

Surprising that many complain about it yet never counter it.

    SB = 20%

    BK = 33%

Job done. Lets not even get into WMI which is incredibly powerful. People want to bring their DS/Adrenaline/SB combo and aren't willing to take a perk to counter a perk. BK combos with SC anyway so it's incredibly useful.

Its surprising yeah, shouldnt a killer perk be stronger than a survivor one? 1vs4 ya know.....

  • @not_Queen

It would also be interesting what BHVRs standpoint is on crossplay. Are you even considering this now that the console versions are supposed to be more stable?

  • I never understood why the killer is being blamed for a survivor missplay.

  • @Peasant said:

Cross play might be a distant possibility for Switch, PC, and Xbox. But Sony HATES cross play so the PS4 folks are trapped unfortunately.

Rocket leauge has crossplay aswell, just an example

  • @Chaotic_Riddle

Even Fogstreamers (officially supportedby BHVR) proved to us on livestreeam that its ok to hover at certain ranks by DCing and that you wont get punished for this. This is simply not acceptable if you ask me, it cant be real that lets say with a 33% rate you are not getting punished.

Each DC must be punished individually, prefreably a queue time penalty that increases the more you DC. Thats how basically every other game handles this situation. I really hope that we will see sth like this in summer

  • Community: What do you think about First Person View in locker to make game scarier?

I always wanted first person locker and tbh, I always wanted first person survivor aswell. The reason why 3rd person was introdcued inthe first place is neglectable now, nowadays its all about looping, which would be significantly more challenging in 1st person btw

  • @ModernFable said:

Since it’s gonna take months and months before anything is working properly anyway:

I hope that Behavior is at least considering Cross Play & Progression in the future.

I know, console players always claim they are as competitive as PC players, but really. Can you imagine a sweaty nurse PC nurse screwing over some pleb survivors playing on their switch over a mc donals hotspot?'

Sure it would probably solve some of the matchmaking issues on consoles, but I wonder whether this is the right path to take.... (I dont have anythign against that btw)

  • I still cant maintain stable 60 fps on my gaming PC that is way above the required specs. (neglectable problems though, but still)

Good luck with those plans.... and good luck for all switch players lul....

  • Increase?

You mean introduce punishment for Dcing......

  • You could switch to survivor aswell.

Usually its the high rank survivors that face a low rank killer (I assume due to a lack of high rank killers), as low rank survivor you should face low rank killers, at least that has been my experience

  • The road from SPF to FPS.....

  • @bannerlemur said:

I just played 2 out of 3 games where the Killer was Myers who hooked 0 survivors combined between the 2 games...but Killed all 8. I didn't even know a Killer could kill the survivors without ever hooking them 1st. Never saw that until today. So anyone pretending the Killers are nerfed is wrong. I thought it was a cheat the 1st game until it happened again 2 games later...

You clearly are new to the game, so may I suggest learning the game before discussing its balance?

  • This game is so biased towards Killers that I have LOL'ed so many times reading Killer's gripes on these forums.

You can do better, try again

  • Unforunately BHVR doesnt consider anything non-human since that would mean they need to create a new body model

  • I hope they are badass like Jeff’s are. I pray to the entity we get some awesome goodies. I can’t wait to ######### up my life trying them out.

I never see jeffs perks tbh, apparently BBQ wasnt that OP

  • Just wondering since I see it in every single match!

What else are you supposed to do.

You need to slow down the genrush, no question about that.

Dying light => useless, especially with the new DS

    Ruin => highly RNG

So there is only sloppy butcher left, or you do you have another suggestion for us killers?

  • So I am using BT, Lithe, Hope and Adrenaline, 'cause too many noobs use NOED and the most amazing thing happened.

    bAlAnCeD

  • What fixing do hitboxes need?

  • Yes, I am talking about the Nurse. I play with higher level nurse's around rank ~8 or 9 usually and a GOOD Nurse is an absolute nightmare.

Why does she break the game?

Just play in a sweaty SWF

  • The game only started as a horror game since everyone was new. If the survivors were as experienced as nowadays, it would have been an even worse situation than now (infinites etc)

But lets look at the current situation. Survivors can tbagg, click their flashlights and point at you while being chased by a (terrifying) killer. Why can they do that? Because they know they are perfectly save in their loops, in other horror games you are always in danger, but not in DBD. Safe zones are spread all over the map, so there really is no need to be scared. Nurse is the only killer that actually is scary in good hands. Why is that?

Thats because looping doesnt work against her and because you are actually nowhere safe. The nurse could jump right to you in the next second if she sees you and thats why nurse is the only killer that makes DBD feel like a horror game.

Unfortunately the devs have stated that they dont want every killer to be viable.....

  • I’m curious because when I player killer and a player quits, I get bonus points. I understand it’s to try and compensate for the BP I couldn’t get from them.

    They do.

Survivors get 5k bp EACH and keep their items, only lose their offerings when the killer DCs

The killer gets 2,5k BP IN TOTAL FOR 4 DCS and loses all his stuffing

    Talking abotu fairness....

  • Havent used it before, but now that you asked so politely

    2XNMTK9RE2DB.png

  • @OGlilSPOOK20 said:

So basically a crappy version of Nurse?

There is a difference between blinking and walking through walls, but it would depend on the movement speed whether crappy version of actually viable

  • @HeroLives said:

half of these are killer made up rules, they want you to abide by in order to make you “think” they are less likely to camp or tunnel you. I promise campers gonna camp and hook chasers are gonna hook chase.

It DOES NOT matter what you do or don’t do.

I’ll bring an item I paid for with my hard earned bp if I want to. I’ll suffer your made up “consequences/reasonings” if you catch me.

    -survivor

PS. Just be honest you like easy games Bc survivors will fall for it, and MOST killers feel like they need more time Bc they can’t tunnel and camp 4 survivors to death when they don’t fall for it. I’m not calling anyone specific out but if the shoe fits wear it on your head or whatever.

If you dont follow my made up rules, then I dont see a reason to follow your made up rules. Thats how I handle this stuff

    -killer

  • Thats probably the best thought-through post frmo a new account.

    Well done
