You keep coming back to SWF. So very, very much. Maybe you should take that into consideration.

That’s strange, not only have I spun “pc killers” but you can watch survivor streamers do this all day...
360 me. I dare you.
It's not even a PC killer thing, it's just that some people know not to lunge.
-
I barely even notice it. My main issue is the bug that prevents you from starting a second Rush if you happen to be too close to the object you slammed.
-
Honestly, I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that his power can damage survivors. People see that and think "oh, well it should be the normal way to play!" And then, shocker, it has counterplay. Like it should. Sure, I think it needs a little change, but not much.
Personally, I get a few clutch hits in and his mobility does the rest. Constant, dangerous presence. I can force pallets so quickly in so many places just because the threat of a madman with a cane makes them drop it or get injured. Shack, if it has no gen, is genuinely not somewhere a survivor wants to be. Long wall jungle gym? You'd better hope there's nothing for me to slam out there, or that window is almost an auto hit. Ruin? Pop? MYC? Dragons Grip? Devour Hope? Thrilling Tremors? Undying? Retribution? Oh, so good.
That being said, I do think I've picked him up a lot quicker than most. Something about the ping-pong alchemist just clicks with my brain. Which is great, because normally I suck.
-
The thing is, I've been getting pretty consistent 4k's with him, something I cannot do with any other killer. If he's so damn weak, if there's so little reason to learn him, then why am I murdering so much? It's not because I'm going against bad survivors - I get maybe 2 or 3 lethal rush hits a trial. They know how to dodge.
-
No, I like him. I like that he's got one of the best mobility powers in the game, and also one of the most chaotic chases. I just hate that he can only lunge while in a lethal rush, not do an otherwise-basic attack like Legion.
But I don't think that making him Oni With No Instadown would be a good idea. Right now you actually have a decent amount of control over whether the hit lands, it's just the fact that you can run straight past someone mid-lunge because your reactions were on point but your predictions weren't.
-
You can do gens. That's not suicide, not if you know where the killer is.
-
I run Undying, Retribution and Ruin. The reason? Retribution activates 2-3 times a match. Sometimes even 5 times. It's still a good perk.
-
I'm gonna say it: Blight might be one of my favourite killers. Easily in my top 3.
-
Honestly? Because a lot of competitive people are arrogant and stupid.
I'm competitive. I know I'm competitive. I've been like that my whole life, always having to prove I'm good at shite. But DBD does NOT lend itself well to that mentality. The game's core mechanics are extremely unbalanced even without taking into account map design. No matter what, smart survivor teams can always finish gens and open doors. It's just how the game has to be designed: because the goals are different, it has to screw over the minority of players.
But people just don't care. The see "PvP" and think "Competitive eSport." They don't see that they should be playing an actual, competitive game instead of DBD.
-
Deja Vu exists to stop 3-gens. Visionary exists to help newer players to find gens in the first place
-
I don't like the medkits brightness. I'm all for nerfing stealth, but they pop so much I'm surprised there's not a notification bubble. I can see them from miles away.
Other than that, I think it's pretty cool. Killers decent, the map redesigns seem okay and look real pretty. Perks are cool.
-
I feel like Umbra Salt's and Plague's Bile might be meta just for pre-swing corrections, but I have to do some more playing. I don't know if they have a measurable effect.
My girl Adiris, buffing up other killers.
-
Legion is okay. They are a little stronger than most people give them credit for (name one other m1 killer that gets pallets out of the way that quickly), but their add-ons are pretty trash and they get destroyed by basic gen tactics.
-
Nurse. Blight is fun just to play around with and he can get the cheeky hits, but his mechanics err more to the side of "difficult" than "bugged."
Sure, Nurse is strong, but what happens when you get 3 deadblinks in a row?
-
I honestly thought you were meming and showing a normal Blight screenshot. Feelsbad.
But, his common cosmetics are actually really cool.
-
So long as the survivor is near a tree or some debris, it is kind of impossible to hit them if they position themselves right. However, in the open you can actually predict which way they will go and still land the Lethal Rush, at least in my experience. It makes up for the areas full of pallets and windows that you can get hits at, I suppose.

Is Mother Dwelling really that badly programmed? I have almost never gotten it as survivor so I'm not very educated on it.
It's size means that even if every tile has a pallet, which is rare enough, they're so spread out that decent killer that knows how to zone you will most likely get a hit between tiles. It's the flip side to naturally spread-out gens: borderline unchainable tiles.
-
Yeah, if they're in the open you have to predict them, if they're near a tree or small piece of debris you just have to cancel your power.
-
It's a Hex because maps are not always designed... Intelligently. Some maps, like Mother's Dwelling, have 1 pallet in an area and nothing else - that perk basically turns it into a deadzone. Other maps, like almost every other map, have pallets galore unless the RNG is extremely stupid, which means that the perk is useless.
-
Killers need to stop complaining... Why? Because the game is balanced? Because theres no BS? Are survivors still allowed to complain? Is the validity of the complaint based entirely around whether or not they agree with you?
Also, the fact that most decent killer perks are locked behind paywalls is actually a pretty big issue. Save up shards? Do to have any idea how long it takes to get shards? Some people have actual responsibilities in their lives.
-
Its early days, but I think a lot of his power is just going to be predicting which way the survivors are going to spin, and/or just knowing when to not swing because they found the smallest piece of debris to hide behind.

Ok so they fixed one but quickly care to name a few more? Still waiting for vpners to be stopped yk.
They are literally implimenting a complex system based entirely around punishing VPNers and no-one else.

OoO common strat for some killers to tunnel out the spy. She can feed to much info.
Honestly, I get tunnelled more for not running OoO. Most killers just accept that the easiest way to kill you is kill everyone else first, since you always know where they're coming from and always have a massive head start.
Not to mention the fact that you can just hide it.
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
The only survivor adepts that actually have a challenge are David and Laurie
Wait, why Laurie? You have DS and OoO, two of the strongest perks in the game?
-
Every adept survivor challenge is easy, you still have 12 perks on your side.
Except David.
We don't talk about David.

It should be fixed within a week. This bug is actually gross you have no time to make distance. Also stop making it an us vs them conversation.
As much as I hate to say it, the Devs really do jump whenever there's a survivor bug, mostly because that's where the significant majority of the playerbase lie. It's not an "us Vs them" thing, it's just a "we need to please the most people" thing.
I'm still waiting for sounds to work properly, basic attacks to not 180 you into a wall because half a pixel was in your attack cone, Nurse to work properly, phantom saws to go away, bubba to not collide with literally nothing, ranged attacks to have decent hitboxes, macro's to not borderline instabreak Slingers chain... There are so very, very many bugs that have not been addressed that really shouldn't take a whole lot of time.
-
Not gonna lie, DBD is not the right game if you don't have a few hours to spend now and then AND are totally happy never winning. Even ignoring the matchmaking and wierdly high skill cap, the grind is so real that I feel like the physical edition comes with a free whetstone.
-
Alert, Bond, Resiliance, Spine Chill. All-time info and vault build wrapped in a nice off-meta package.
Kindred, Bond, Open Handed. Know everything everywhere.
Alert, Urban Evasion: Good stealth combo.
-
My Clown still has Pustula Petals from last year's event.
-
There are no solutions. People want to assert dominance and will always find a way to do so.
-
Safe unhooks are extremely easy to get, and can even be cheesed with BT.
-
There's not much you can do in-game. The only advice I can give is to make sure you've shut down any other programs that might be hogging your hardware (browsers, documents, even photo apps).
-
Not gonna lie, that hill caused me the most morally grey decision I have ever made in DBD: I was Slinger, I was chasing this survivor, and I shot right as they got stuck in the hill. I had no idea if I landed the shot because they got stuck. I didn't know if I was a scummy, bug-abusing Slinger as well as a scummy, Slinger-abusing Slinger. I just downed him, pulled him from the hill, hooked him and literally spent the rest of the match "missing" him.
-
No, that's just facecamping. Do gens, hope they don't have NOED.
-
DS is needed to prevent actual tunneling (getting tunnel vision on one survivor). It should not, however, be used the way it currently is: extremely aggressively. It should not, either, protect the survivor from being farmed the way it currently does: by heavily punishing the killer.
-
I don't think that the one game where I actually get tunelled justifies running DS, I don't think it's fair that there is a perk that exists entirely to punish the killer for snowballing, and I don't think that anything could ever justify running both of them together outside of a prize pool because of how easy it is to abuse, even subconsciously.
-
Temple of Purgation is great post-rework. It's not really that balanced, but it's better than the significant majority of maps, and I think it might knock Father Campbell's Chapel off the top of my favourite maps.
-
Let's not forget survivors revealing him through a solid wall because they glimpsed him for half a second through a window. Or the fact that the 3rd person camera makes it so that they can reveal you and you have no idea where they are.
-
... Double Iri add-ons? That's so weak on Ghostface.
-
Doc is one of the best killers in the game, he's just not very easy to use. I personally find him quite frustrating because I just cannot for the life of me ge this timing down, but I also don't like how insane his add-ons are and how much they buff him. But, that's just personal preference, and if you were a Ghostface main then you're probably used to add-on dependency (although Doc doesn't really need them, they're just very, very nice to have).
Edit: I should clarify, by "not easy to use" I mean at any reasonable level of play above noobstomping w/out add-ons. If you run around shocking people then sure, you'll get kills with him, but you waste a heap of time.

I can easily counter every point because ime it has been the opposite at times but sometimes as you say. I don't think this necessarily means anything. I have been struck by ranged attacks way out of range, I have missed stuns where The Killer was clearly in range, I have been stunned despite being out of range. I was just reporting what the devs said, maybe interaction just meant melee hits. I was under the impression that every interaction with The Killer was favored by what they see but perhaps that is wrong. I just checked everything and they don't really distinguish what is killer resolved :/
Yes, shocking as it may be, when things are resolved on the server both parties get screwed over. There is no counterpoint, just more evidence. I have also had plenty of robs as survivor, I just don't see the reason to point it out: Everyone talks about how servers mess with survivor.

The devs said interactions with The Killer are handled by the killer client during the stream. I didn't see anything about it being limited to melee hits. The focus has been on hits because of the perceived differences from each perspective. Maybe one can clarify that point.
That's observably untrue. Ranged hits, stuns, hatch and grabs, the only other interactions with the killer, are not resolved on the killers machine. Ranged attacks magically phase through survivors all the time; this is especially easy to see with Plague. You get interrupted all the time when trying to grab someone/close the hatch, and you often bait out a head on or pallet stun only to eat it from a metre away. Even blinding the killer isn't resolved on the killers machine: so often have I stared at the sky and still been magically blinded half a second later.

I disagree, and already outlined why people go into Lockers. DS is another one of course, and I disagree on that point too. The point isn't about outsmarting or guessing, it's whether you "deserve" that grab. You're argument is that a Survivor deserves no chance thereafter but in some cases it makes sense to outsmart The Killer and jump into the Locker. I think if an ally can free you via a FL save, you and that Survivor deserve the victory by outsmarting The Killer, predicting he would go for the grab and correctly positioning yourself. It would be The Killer's fault for not surveying the area, much like a Pallet Stun or a general HO stun.
And you couldn't be more wrong about lag, the Servers favor the killer and what he sees is what prevails. My perspective isn't factored into the calculation and the server doesn't care what I perceive. So in some instances, the gap between what you see can give The Killer a major advantage. Does he deserve it? Not in my opinion but that is the way the experience currently is until SSHV rolls out.
The only thing that favours the killer are the melee hits, for extremely obvious reasons. Everything else is resolved server-side.
-
I don't really know. I don't find matches where I'm outclassed by SWF, bad teammates, strong killers or problem perks to be particularly intense: When you lose in the lobby, just take it chill.
The most intense game I can remember was against a Doctor on The Game. He managed to get most of us on death hook and I was (through a bunch of coincidences and bad luck) forced to stay injured and mad for most of the trial. At the end, I just got healed, the last gen popped, the gates were 99'd, one person was struggling on hook and the other two were injured. One of them ran over with BT and got the unhook, then stealthed away with IW to the far gate while the doc ignored me and the other, also injured, also deathhook person to tunnel the poor unhooked one. Managed to get them out after doc activated their BT, I took a hit, somehow faked one with DH, and both me and the other injured person took hits right at the edge of the exit and managed to crawl out.

I know that he doesnt have that much counterplay, but why is a killer called unfun if he cant be countered.
Is this a serious question?
Apparently a killer shouldn't require interactivity to be fun. We're all just whiners.
Personally, I don't use his power for zoning all that much, instead preferring to go for cheeky, and often very effective, shots through walls. And in those circumstances he actually feels quite fair: the survivors (if they're paying attention) can dodge, and I can misjudge or striaght up miss. But then you get to a window or pallet and the survivor is animation locked into taking a hit, or they keep running and take a hit.
-
More lunge and bump control.
That's it, to be honest. Nothing else.
-
You don't. It's the strongest info perk in the game with a very controllable (and by extension pretty worthless) downside to try and make up for it. It's even good against stealth killers. It's just not something you can play around. I've seen people claim that, as Trapper or Hag, you can place "bait traps," but... You're still wasting your own time on something that's actually designed to not benefit you. That's like saying "slug out the DS" or "just do bones."
-
If by "devour" you mean Devour Hope, then remember that Undying will only protect you from an early totem-breaking. The resetting stacks means that you probably won't get much value the second time around.
Although Undying, Ruin and Retribution sound pretty damn good.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
Killers should really stop being so aggressive. I've seen so many won games literally threw into 3/4 escapes because the killer took one chase and didn't call it off when they should have or tried to tunnel the wrong person. People should learn that not everybody can be killed.
And now I wait. Let's see how the double standard plays out. Not picking on you, Justalittlepeeck, just half the forums.
How dare you imply that I, as an m1 killer, SHOULDN'T be able to down survivors in 10 seconds at a jungle gym-into-shack-into-path-pallet setup, then proceed to facecamp them because I'm extremely lazy but like to justify it to myself as "efficiency."
