Do you have any idea how many suiciding teammates I've seen yeet themselves off and spam the nearest locker/vault? I always hope the killer slugs them and leaves them on the ground.
-
The problem is that my patience is extremely stretched when the other side uses crutches and goes on to bully the survivor/killer that also did so. I don't really care about winning or losing, but instadropping pallets? Second-chance meta? Ultra-coordinated SWF? Forever Freddy? Stridor Spirit? Bamboozleface? Map offerings?
When the other side "wins" with zero skill, that really hurts.
-
Red ranks doesn't have any more skill, but everyone there does generators.
-
Huh? Are you asking why some attacks are considered power attacks and some are considered basic attacks, because the reason for that is... Something the Devs really haven't shared. Spirit, Nurse, Wraith and Deathslinger are all like that, I believe.
-

Hot take. Clown isn't low tier. There's just a lot of low tier players who can't/don't use the character correctly.
Same thing for Wraith, new Bubba, Trapper, and a lot of killers people consider "low tier"
When you use "low tier" killers against a decent team, it becomes pretty obvious why they're considered "low tier." There's a difference between making them sweat for it, and being a complete plaything whose skill literally doesn't matter because running from an m1 killer really isn't that difficult.
-
Get very, very scared and hope no-one pulls out a ritual knife.
-
The only real tip I can give is play well and hope beyond hope that they screw up so royally you actually manage to snowball map pressure, whilst also hoping that they aren't running any second chance perks to completely undo said map pressure.
So, long story short, it's out of your hands. Just play well and the rest really isn't your fault.
-
I Frenzy. I stab. I look for heartbeat. If no heartbeats, I cancel and stab. If close heartbeats, I chase and stab. If far heartbeats, I cancel, get close, Frenzy and stab.
-
Call me a little backwards, but I don't think that two piles of shite cancel each other out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am fairly certain that one pile does not stop the other from existing, and also smelling, and thanks to an overly acidic diet not being good for fertilizer.
-
If you want to advertise your stream, that's the risk. My only advice is to just roll with it, I guess.
-
No, but I've also never seen anyone get actual value from it against me since... Well, since I realised it was a perk that existed. Maybe it's because I've not seen a good killer use it.
-
I don't. I'm a team player. Of gens need done, I'm doing gens. If someone gets hooked, they're getting unhooked. If they're injured, they're getting healed. If they're down, they're getting up. Hells, I'll even give them my item. I'm not gonna just wait around for them to die so I can get hatch.
-
Great, I hope the one time I go against you is the one time I'm running the micro-pp build.
-
I mostly just feel bad when my teammates also do gens against a killer that really hasn't done anything wrong/isn't particularly strong. Great, we beat this poor Legion that had no real way of stopping us. Feels so good. Warms the heart.
-
Reworked? Every second chance/late-game perk in the game. Buffed? All the BP-gaining perks (so that the bonus BP applies afterwad, like WGLF/BBQ) and especially WGLF (it does literally nothing, I don't think that's very fair).

I asked if it applied to killers, you could have said yes - but you instantly went on the defensive, which tells me that yes, you only want to punish survivors for certain perk usage.
This thread was neither Killer or Survivor sided, your instant reaction was to name two survivor perks that should be penalized when used together, you could have simply said " and these killer perks" or "this also applies to certain killer builds".
You didn't just ask. You quite literally attacked my idea by adding a long an unnesseccary tangent about punishing survivors. You literally closed your post with "I find it odd that your 'qol' is 'punish survivors'".
Why should I have to constantly name two broken things? Why would you assume I'm biased? All you want to do is pick a fight. Please, stop.

So does this also apply to killers, or do you just want to punish survivors lacklustre point gain even further by penalizing them with perks they've earned?
I find it odd your "QOL" is "punish survivors".
I find it odd you think my choice of example is the stacking point, and that you assume I wouldn't want it to apply to everyone. I cannot lie, I am getting real sick of the assumptions on this forum. If I don't say that one thing from each side is bad, then I'm the villain. It's so disgusting.
-
It's definitely the most versatile perk that killers have, but I find it pretty much worthless when I most need a perk to give me an edge - the mid-game.

I had the DS killer fear happen alot and with unbreakable has saved me alot when i run the two
That's... That's just DS/UB...
-
A rework of the pip and bloodpoint system that takes into account what you bring in. People can use all the DS/UB they want - suddenly their hollow victory is even emptier.
-
Without question, Kindred and Bond.
Edit: also, the fear of DS

the affect of being the only free anti grind perk doesnt count? this game is grindy af and this halves the speed. thats huge
No, not in terms of gameplay. Even No Mither does something... hell, even Monstrous Shrine does something. WGLF is the only perk, in the entire game, that doesn't have an acutal, in-game effect.

you also have to buy leatherface or get lucky on the shrine of secrets to use it also bbq's aura reading is only reall good on huntress and to lesser extent doc not to mention perks are far more important to than they are to survivor
okay... maybe stop whattabouting and actually take a moment to apreciate that WGLF literally has 0 effect?

the f2p survivor side bbq and chili is bad?
Uh... Yeah, that's not exactly a shocker, it has literally 0 effect. BBQ shows you auras, or forces survivors to hide them.
-
No, I actually never see that these days. I've had a few hard-patrollers that were basically facecamping (still pretty rare) and I've had teams bumrush unhooks against me and claim that I was camping/tunneling, but no legit, hardcore facecampers.
-
Just play the game and acknowledge (but still feel free to exploit) any unfair advantages. That's all I ask of anyone - and it's the reason I find those "competitive" players so annoying most of the time. Bringing in all the OP stuff AND pretending you worked for it? Yeah...
-
Nothing's really changed. That's the part I laugh about the most.
-
He picks up his knife and he does a big chop. Better than giving them a little stab and sending them to get crushed in a cage, I guess.
-
WGLF. In terms of raw gameplay, it's literally an empty slot. It has zero effect on anything.
-
The pip system is almost completely worthless for that reason, and many others.
-
I don't run it because sounds are just absolutely stupidly unreliable anyway, plus it also removes breathing which wierds me out.

In 88 Games it should have 352 (x4) survivors and 1408 (x4) perk slots. 1366 were actually tracked due to empty slots (Adept, low levels or scorescreen bugs).
144 instances of Decisive Strike / 1366 total Perk Slots
Ah, so the highest count it can have is 25%. Got it. I was super happy for a moment because I thought that maybe the meta was dissolving, but now I understand the maths better
-
How is 10% the absolute highest of the perk counts? Were you calculating the percentage it was used Vs all the other perks or the percentage of people that were using it?

I'd like to see a bunch of horror/thriller icons in DBD, but the problem is that they just wouldn't fit very well. Probably the one thing I really would love to see (I saw a thread that inspired it) is the Future Predator, or (I guess more people will know them than Future Predators) one of those aliens from A Quiet Place. The problem is that these things are all way stronger than literally anything in DBD and it would probably feel kind of lame seeing such powerful creatures getting held back. Same as xenomorphs, and even the Demogorgon.
-
That's not holding the game hostage. If your friend had proceeded to do nothing but patrol gens and hit whomever got close, I'm fairly certain that would be, as is stealthing without attempting objectives and bodyblocking every remaining survivor into one place with no EGC or bleed-out.
-
Hey, welcome my dude/ette. Hope you don't think we're a bunch of jerks just yet.

It is a game where you compete against other players, rather aggressively at that. It has established metas, rewards for success, and punishments for failure. Saying this game "clearly isn't for" someone because they also enjoy competitive games (that, you know, have those things in common) is being a bit rude to say the least. Also kinda pointless.
If DBD was a competitive game, then 2 competitive teams would have a relatively even chance of success. And yet the term "deathsquad" exists for a reason: There's no chance at all, even if you're the best Nurse player with an Ebony Mori, to win. If DBD was even slightly considered competitive, that would be every other trial instead of every tenth.
And that's ignoring all the times the Devs have said it's not a competitive game and shouldn't be treated as such.
Siege player, BTW. Love the game. Love the competition. DBD is not and never should get anywhere close to that, because not every game needs to be that. If people want DBD to be that... Then it really isn't the game for them.

The entirety of the FGC doesn't consider Smash a competitive game despite Smash Melee single handedly getting x10 more views on Twitch than all other games at Evo combined.

No, the game itself is fun, AND winning is fun. No one plays a game that's not fun, whether they win or not. IDK why you insist that competitive games are not fun, that's like your opinion man. Ask anyone that plays a game competitively and they will tell you they do it for fun. Only the top 1% of players may say "I do it for the money" because they are at a point where they actually make a living playing the game, and you don't necessarily have to have fun at work for you to continue to do it, do you?
Also it doesn't matter what DBD "used to be about" whatever that means, or the devs intentions, the game is a competitive game because many many players are playing to win. At least at high ranks where Spirit is most common.
It seems to me you just don't like eSports. Your comments about DBD are just so wrong there is no other explanation.
"Ask anyone that plays a game competitively and they say it's for fun."
Yeah. Competitively. That's my point. It's not fun to muck about in competitive games. They're playing to win, and by winning they have fun, not by just playing the game. It's basic psychology: Pit people against one a other and most of them will try to win because they don't care about anything else.
That's not DBD. Go back to the competitive scene. This is clearly not the game for you.

Fun: Plague, Huntress, Billy, Oni, Pig, Legion
Okay: Myers, Demogorgon, Trapper, Hag, Nurse, Clown
Hate: Everyone else
Want to hold their head in a river til their legs stop kicking: Ghostface
-
Constant squabbling, annoying opinionated cousins, crazy old grandparents whining about the "good old days"... Yeah, I see it.
-
At a guess, it will probably block them but not show the entity spikes to awake players.
That, or it wont effect them in any way and you'll basically be nerfing an already weak power by screaming "Hey, here's my pallets! Remember to completely ignore them!"

So I know it Sounds rude but...
Get gud If you want to win against good/Red Rank surv.
And learn to pressure Gens so they don't repair then too fast.
I get survivors with almost every mindgame I pull. It doesn't matter how good the killer is, gens trump everything, and sometimes you just get an avalanche of SWF teams that know how to play the game even if they suck at chases. Their perks prevent snowballing, their teamwork gets gens done in a timely fashion, and people scream "git gud" even though you played far better than them.

Competitive games are hella fun. Why do you think E-sports exists?
Because people have fun watching and playing it.
Why do people not understand their own heads? The fun in competitive games is the competition - which isn't what DBD used to be about, and isn't what the Devs have been going for, because that would make it available for e-sports and filled with the absolute brainfrying toxicity and sweat that that entails.
-
Actual advantages? There's some pretty blendy cosmetics, most of the female survivors are harder to hear, Ace has built-in IW.
But mostly the blending is limited to Claudette and Adam. Most of the other characters have some disadvantage here or there in their skins that make them not blendy. For example: Kate has dark hair and a dark sweater, but her pants are pretty visible and she has other disadvantages.
Edit: I've seen some pretty blendy Fengs as well, they use her purple outfit.
-
No, I just play both as equally as I can because I don't want to become another generic main that doesnt really know the struggles of the other side.
-
Noooooooo
........No........
Nnnnnnnno
Nononononopiddy nope nope nope.
MoM has the potential to be the most busted perk in the game, and safe unhooks can easily be cheesed. Very, very easily. That would make it almost the same as old MoM, except you need 4 unhooks instead of 3 hits so a full party of MoMs probably wouldn't be able to activate. Still, they'd get 2-3 though, surely that's fair and balanced? 2-3 survivors that sometimes take 3-4 hits to down depending on whether they had an autoheal or styptic? And still have DS/UB? Maybe even a DH? Yeah, that's fine, I'm fine, you're fine, we're all fine.
-
If there's no windows around, run at people and rev your chainsaw. Either they go down or you instabreak a pallet. If there's a window, whack them if they're close, saw them if they're not. If they're injured and looking behind them, rev your saw to bait the DH. You can moonwalk with your chainsaw if the survivor is at an unsafe window. You don't have to be directly behind people to saw them any more - a couple of metres away is close enough.
-
Because it's difficult to get it's full value outside of SWF. Head on is similar to DS - it's stun benefits everyone in th vicinity, not just the survivor that used it, because instead of a speed boost its stopping the killer in their tracks.
But, of course, even in SWF groups they mostly just use it to bully the killer, and outside of SWF groups it's mostly paired with the extremely toxic locker DS.
-
Or, instead of buffing survivors outside of that situation, they could add a suicides de mechanic. For killers as well - it's not fair that suiciding survivors is a part of base gameplay but killers cannot (figuratively or literally) fall on their swords.
-
Why wouldn't it? Where does it state that they, the perks that are designed to work together and compliment one another, shouldn't work together or compliment one another?
