Is that why my Nancy looks more like a cyclops lately?
-
Before, It had to be pretty traumatic during those rounds that start with you looking right into your Quentin's face.
-
Looks like they softened her cheeks and her angular jawline some, but she still has that classic Japanese profile.
I kind of like it.

So something like a surrender-vote? Is it a waste for you bc its almost impossible to win or other reasons? Survivor can still do challenges or earn more bloodpoints. I personally like to get chased even if it is pointless.
Yeah a vote thing seems like a good compromise.

What I usually say when I'm on the hook and see three of them creeping around the map...one of you do gens at least.
Stop waiting to die!

this, a million times this, what the hell is going on?
Make some people fat, old or just ugly, come on, lets have some REAL people in this game and not supermodels
All characters don't have to look good, but we're talking about Feng Min here.
-
I kind of wouldn't mind if the trial just ended and everyone walks away with what they earned - it's mostly a waste of time to keep going at that point.
-
Pretty much Wraith now and Bubba cause of how he just makes me feel like I am wasting pallets the entire chase, but tops is Wraith.
I'd rather face a Spirit with Stridor than a Wraith right now, least I might have a chance to actually get away.
-
Either one of those variants is way better than the proposed remodel.
-
I just think of her as a zombie Claire...but yeah I don't know how they butchered this so badly.
I like the eyes though.
-
I don't know why they fell in love with putting crap on the back of character cosmetics like that. Just because they can.
Do people even carry helmets like that? I've never seen it - it's either on their head or not.
It's turned me off to purchasing a lot of cosmetics just because of the backpack component looks ridiculous when running from killers.
In that situation I'd think anything that could catch on something while vaulting would be the first thing to go.

He needs like 4 minimum with up to 8 on large maps but this game cant handle that. Some people were saying that they wanted to have 4 base but the game couldnt handle it, while I cannot guarantee this is true it would not surprise me.
4-8? Those zombies might be only two but they always seem to show up at the worst time. With 8 I'd want another way of dealing with them other then just hoping you had a flashlight or a pallet nearby to waste otherwise it would just be never ending playing keep away from them and being able to do nothing else. I'm sure Nemesis players would love that survivors have to dodge zombies until it was their turn to die, but as a survivor player I probably wouldn't bother even going up against a Nemesis any more. Those zombies are annoying enough as it is.
-
My incentive is to have that pop up that keeps saying you can prestige after completing a blood web to go away.
-
You ever see End Game Collapse?
There you go.
-
You can't say 'killer' either...
-
They also made another killer that benefits even more from tunneling in Nemesis which has seen a lot of play (expected) due to the recent chapter. Infected survivors are easiest to down and usually those are the ones that are fresh off the hook.
It's the devs fault again.

holding W is just saying that your not using your brain in loops
A lot of people think 'running around in circles' did not take brains nor skill.
I am not one of them, just replaying what I've seen from many other posts in the past.

Some people need to run windows of opportunity more.
Or just get a grip and stop crying about deadzones they chose to run into while leaving strong set up
If you want to do gens, you got no choice.

@Unifall said:
I dont think people say "no running allowed!" When they say shift w it usually means that they're going to run in a straight line and get alot of distance as possible and pray they find a loop or pallet. For the most part this is only very effective in open maps like temple and maybe even rpd map. It is a good tactic but very tedious.
That's just good tactics, if the killer makes a mistake by not zoning me or I win one of those rare mind games and I can get a chance at some distance, I will take it. I'm not going to stupidly wait for him, wasting that time so he can reset the odds.

@danielmaster87 said:
Nobody is saying you shouldn't be allowed to hold W. It's just stupid that it's the most effective way of wasting the killer's time.
I'm interested to know what should be the most effective way then?
Looping? Lots of killers complained about that as 'no fun running in circles' (now they complain about running in a straight line), so now we have new and reworked killers/maps that took away loops or counter them completely.
Mind games? That's a bad joke. Only some tiles that break line of sight could possibly mind game and still survivors are at the short end of that deal versus a killer who moves faster than them (sometimes way faster) and only has to be right twice over a survivor having to be right all the time. It gets even more ludicrous with added aura reads; and then there's spirit who basically you have to count on to mind game herself which isn't much of a chance either if she runs Stridor. Many tiles there is no mind game to be had especially when survivors leave a blazing, glowing trail behind them.
Stealth? If you don't want to progress the game and wait to die, that's a good option, but stealth has also been a joke. Killers complained about that too.
I can't really think of other options that aren't useless. Survivors do not have many options to defend themselves that are reliable.

Looks like the backside of a crow, it's just closer in the foreground concealed slightly by fog.
-
NOED turning mediocre killers into good killers since 2016.
-
I believe EGC has a kill rate comparable to killers. That's doing more than not much.
-
Well for one you aren't dependent on three other people to not be total idiots.

Uh huh, why is that exactly. Because they are noob strats? Why does it get me results every time I do it then?
Because it's the 'I win' button of this game - they are noob strats because they are simple and work for every casual regardless of actual skill.
-
Because the game can't tell the difference between people having bad luck, or someone hiding in a bush all game doing nothing.

I’m surprised people care as much as they do about this when the game itself is so broken at the moment.
It's more tolerable to live in a crappy world if you at least look good.
-
Everyone just saying it's bad survivors gives me the impression they think all killer players are equal. There's bad killers too and I would think that evens out the rates just as much.
One bad survivor can screw over their entire side, two bad survivors will do it for sure then everyone goes down with the ship, especially with end game collapse now.
Survivors are more vulnerable to bad players.
-
The fix is to grow a thicker skin.

I know Nemesis has only been out a few days, but he's #1 in tunnels/proxy camping to me. I maybe seen 1-2 that didn't.

Or they're playing to win because they know all those Jills and leons are experienced players just leveling them.
That's possible, too. Also, not being super biased is also possible. but clearly you can't do that.
I find it hard to believe they aren't trying then all the other times. It's been really bad today.

I keep getting tunneled simply for looping the killer. This rank reset is something else, i got face camped 8 times today by nemesis. And im rank 11. Let that sink in.
I hear you - been tunneled and proxy camped more times just today by Nemesis than in all my matches over the past few months. I'm guessing these Nemesis killers are letting their inner coward show knowing that most Jill/Leon they come across will be babies right now without defensive perks, so easy tunnels.
-
When I got around to getting Cheryl and unlocked it for a few other survivors, I think I slotted in about 50 games...
...it was useful once.
-
Why not I guess - anyone know when these remodels go live?
-
No thanks I like to earn my kills.

@Phasmamain said:
That only shows up when it’s your first match against that specific killer
Certain it is the first three times going against each specific killer on an account.
-
I've noticed getting chased first is undesirable - it doesn't pay well in blood points. I think that is the problem that should get fixed over not de-pipping for just escaping. If escape is the only criteria then some survivors (many survivors) that don't do anything useful during a match would get their rank inflated unfairly - more so than what they are getting carried toward already.
Edit: Getting chased first = no lightbringer, probably no altruism (you become a source of other people's altruism), and you are risking unbroken. So yeah - that's the problem that should get fixed imo especially if devs want to encourage that kind of interaction.
-
It's already fast. Simply do not attempt to purposely fail any skill checks, after two are failed automatically by letting the spinner just do its thing - you die.
-
Jill, she was always my favorite.
-
I also play both, but I do tend toward survivor. Not because it's necessarily easier, I mean you are holding M1 but that is only so you have a mini-game to do while you wait to be chased and there is a lot you need to know in order to do well as survivor.
As for why most people prefer survivors - here's my take:
1) There's potential for killer to feel a lot of pressure to perform. Unless you can train yourself to just not care and do what you can. People may prefer not to deal with that pressure and are attracted to the thrill of being hunted.
2) Killer is a solo experience - you don't get a sense of team (even if the team is not really working as one) like survivors and no real interaction with friends for the most part to work toward the same goal.
3) Killer is the bad guy in this story - least that's the way it's laid out. Let's face it, it takes a special someone to chase people, beat them to the ground, then drag them to a hook and impale them on it. Look at horror movies. They seldom treat you to the killer's point of view for the majority of the movie, unlike the protagonists. Survivors are generally more relatable as they are just normal people.
4) Killer is invulnerable, there's no thrill of seeing how long you can last in a match - because killer has no chance of being ejected early.
5) Survivor dynamics - I play solo when survivor, so every game has that anticipation of not only not knowing who the killer is, but also how good or bad your fellow survivors are. Killers have an good idea what they are walking into when they first join the lobby. Sure the survivor perks are a variable, but for the most part survivors run the same, they hide the same, they have to do gens all the same. Survivors (those that want to live) have to adjust their play style to each killer's unique power and that helps keep each match interesting.
6) Survivors arguably have nice models and more choices in cosmetics to individually customize to their likes. Choices are more limited in killers.
7) Got one more - seldom is anyone going to congratulate killer for doing well in a match, so each victory feels somewhat hollow which is one reason I feel some killers like to let that last one go. Survivors however have more potential for back pats and kudos and if everyone died, well they are still smarting from getting killed to usually say anything beyond a 'gg'.

Wraith is climbing fast.

The buff was good for wraith but I honestly think they went to far with that ridiculous lunge he gets coming out of cloak.
Devs seem to be making it a habit of overtuning killers - like Freddy was. Now we will see if people just throw up their hands and die on first hook against Wraiths.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
He's a noob stomper that punishes survivors who play outpositioned and also pallet camping, hence why some people consider him top tier. He's also fairly easy to play as so it's not hard to come across decent Wraiths. Against survivors that actually know how to play safe and chain tiles he suffers a ton.
That's true versus any killer though - with the new map reworks if you want to work on a gen at all you are 'outpositioned'.
-
Except I'm so wired to button mash automatically on second hook that I accidentally fail the first skill check.
-
Got worse with one of her arguably coolest cosmetics is a linked set.
I must say she has the best looking hands. Whoever did that (watch her idle awhile) is pretty good, cause previous hands look like stiff claws.
-
It was a low bar to begin with - but yes, it's the best I can remember. I don't see anything new that's bugged yet.

Seems to affect Nea, Meg and Claudette the most from what I've seen.

What rank are you playing at if you think third seal is too strong?
Red ranks at the time.
Edit: I shouldn't say third seal was too strong - I should have said it was too strong for me.

ENTITY DISPLEASED~ENTITY DISPLEASED
I stopped using Hex Third seal because of this - it was too strong, against solos especially, and on many maps. I ended up having people die on first hook and that's no good for anyone.
