Furtive chase only lowers your TR when in chase, so using that WITH monitor would be kinda meh. Monitor increases your TR when in a chase, so...using your example... Monitor would increase DS's TR to 32 meters while in chase, and then 4 stacks of furtive chase would drop it back down to 16 meters. Really, the perk in generally is only useful for swapping the obsession around and for swapping targets mid chase to someone nearby who might not know you're there. Allowing the stacks to remain REALLY wouldnt be OP in the lease, especially since you no longer have to keep BT in mind for any TR related perks anymore.

I'd feel better for Trapper if he started the game with one or two traps. Most of the time, two generators are done when the first Survivor got injured.
Or I see Trapper starting a chase early, but with no traps to pressure the loops. He's basically a M1 Killer with no power if he doesn't take time to set some traps at the beginning.
I never played Trapper, but as a Huntress main, I'd feel bad if I had to get my hatchets to a locker at the start of the game. And it's not even comparable to Trapper.
And you'd only get 1 hatchet from said locker, and have to go to seperate lockers to get more...

Midwich is completely fine tho. Unless you're against a comp surv squad, but they dont play public games, so you're fine.
The issue people have with midwich is how its shape makes it hard for killers to cut corners. If a survivor presses W in the hallways, as a killer... you HAVE to press W. If a survivor is on a gen in the hallway, they can TYPICALLY see the killer as soon as they turn the corner on the opposite end of the hallway and just hold W, making it take FOREVER for the killer to catch up if they dont have some movement ability. Other maps allow killers to take alternate routes to cut them off in some way, but thats generally not possible with Midwich's hallways. The existence of the gens in the various classrooms is the big reason for alot of killer pressure on that map since it often cuts survivor LOS to JUST that classroom when they have to eventually work on those gens.
The comparison between this and the police station is just to point out that both maps generally lack alternate routing for chases. As killer, you typically have to utilize the same route as the person you're chasing, making it rather braindead boring in the chase department.

Remove Huntress' lullaby from her POV. I dont care if the survivors hear it, but I dont wanna hear it over and over the entire freaking time.

It doesn’t matter though. I could’ve saved up millions of blood points between the mid chapter patch and the Resident Evil chapter, then when the new chapter drops, P3 both survivors and killer, get all perks on them and then I don’t have to play the game. You think they want people to do that after their brand new chapter drops?
Yeah I might’ve played the same hours, but I’m still hoarding bloodpoints meaning that I don’t have to grind for anything when the new chapter drops meaning I’m not incentivized to play the game anymore. Which clearly would not be smart on their part.
I believe the bloodpoint cap should be raised by a certain amount depending on what your devotion level is. Give people who have a higher devotion level a higher bloodpoint cap. So somebody who would only be a level 2 devotion level can’t hoard as many bloodpoints as somebody who will be devotion level 20. It also gives players who have played frequently a nice reward.
Your just saying youd play the game more before the patch than after the patch. The same amount is played either way. Plus if people are trying to build up BPs for characters before they release...wouldnt THAT be incentive to play? They could start building up their hoard of BPs for the next chapter, or the one after that.
-
@MegMain98 said:
Because they want you to play the game. If there wasn’t a bloodpoint cap then everybody would just stock up on bloodpoints and then immediately P3 the new survivor and the new killer and wouldn’t have to spend any time playing the game after the new content released.
Youd still have to play the same exact amount in order to get those BPs to begin with. The only difference is when you spend the BPs, not how much you play.

Sound like the mindgame people would do with OG Freddy
-
Feel like if they dont do this right, half the killer players will be banned within a week. The amount of people that dont bother reading perks before announcing that something is a hack is alarming.

As far as areas that are tucked away to prevent LOS... wouldnt that also work to prevent getting shot from a distance? Deathslinger needs LOS to shoot you, so if he can shoot you you shouldve been able to see him. If your tucked away in a jungle gym or something, the DS would need to either position himself at a window or something to get the shot (which would offer LOS) or walk into the jungle gym (which would allow you to hear the TR for afew seconds before he came around the corner.

I love the idea of a survivor being able to scream at me for tunneling anytime I start a chase. Maybe after I hook someone and I'm trying to listen to the sound of grass rustling from their teammates being sneaky right next to me, the guy on hook will bless me with the sound of them screaming about my family. Sounds like a GREAT idea that will definitely work good more times than not.
-
Some of the things you've brought up are things that HAD to be nerfed. Infinites being nerfed should be a given. If those were still in the game where there were giant safe zones that a killer couldnt possibly catch a survivor with half a brain no matter how much time was spent...the game wouldve died a long time ago. Using that as proof of whining killers is silly. Same with hook saboing. Making it impossible to hook survivors due to hooks never respawning is too much. Thats not a "killers are whining" issue. If a killer had the ability to permanently destroy generators so you couldnt possibly fix 5 of em, you'd have a similar problem.

See this is the attitude I dont get. If someone in game is being deliberately toxic, then why should others put up with it in end game chat? Should people 'gg' against someone who was being toxic in game? I'm not condoning threatening people, but I do understand people using end game chat to voice their anger at a toxic player when this game is designed for and the devs encourage toxic game play. This issue is much more complicated then just 'people suck'.
Other people's tactics for winning does not give you permission to bash them if you dont like it. Just because someone got a flashlight save, doesnt mean you have permission to tell them you hope their family dies of cancer. So yeah...to answer your question, do like your mama said. If ya dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. Leave a GG or just leave.

Why people run it with Pop when it doesn't apply the same effect to as Pop?
Probably since they're gonna be kicking gens anyway, might as well. Alot of people dont bother wasting time kicking gens unless theres an actual benifit since often times a survivor will come by and tap it right after. While the 2 perks might not multiply each other's power...they're both still activating from 1 action and both giving people reason to take the time to kick a gen.
-
Its for giggles on seeing the animation. If you dont want it, you can USUALLY avoid them in the bloodwebs. I use to go out of my way to avoid them before they were changed, although every now and then it ends up being the last thing in the bloodweb and you HAVE to get it.
I'm also the type of person though to actually use the yellow moris...so... I'm mostly seeing this change as almost equally USEFUL, but giving me 4X the animations. Weird how no one is using this "bloodweb fodder" logic towards yellow moris, lol.
-
The perk would be absolutely useless if you made such a change. The moment you used DH, you'd be unable to do the most basic of things to avoid being downed. This would result in you being downed 1 second later for the majority of the killer cast if they didnt swing and miss and you'd go down after 3 seconds if they DID swing and miss.

Yes, but do you know a way to make an obsession more likely to appear. Whilst it's really common on survivors to have an obsession perk, on killers most don't. Why don't you buff killer obsession perks to give us incentive to run them.
That just depends on the killer and the player. Nemesis+PWYF got really popular to use on Bubba before his rework for example and STBFL is really common to use on killers like Demogorgon and Deathslinger.

Then, I don't think there should by an obsession in every game. If there is no way to balance giving information to both when it comes to a perk (because you guys believe you need it, I believe that I should be able to know how many ds' there is) then there shouldn't be either. That is my opinion.
So basically like it is now?

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Been forever since I've seen Billy Madison. You get my upvote for making me laugh.

Its annoying when it happens. Only thing I would suggest as a change is maybe make it so it doesnt open for like 30 seconds or so when that happens. I remember way back when I group got pissy that they were getting stomped on, so when it was down to 2 people left... One guy led me away from his buddy, only to DC as soon as he touched the ground for his buddy to instantly get the hatch. They then started going off in the EGC how I didnt DESERVE the kills...
If I had any sort of window to move, I couldve made it to the 4th survivor/hatch before it opened. If I was even allowed to hook the 3rd survivor, I wouldve been given some time since it takes abit for the sacrifice animation to finish, but because DC is instant, no time for me.
-
Plenty of people have asked for this in the past, its been seen and they arnt interested in providing that information for some reason. Its frustrating because "moderately" varies from 1 description to another. It could mean 3% for one addon, only to mean 10% for something else.

I specified (at least I think I did) at max 2 survivors as an obsession
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1944837#Comment_1944837
Ok, that would still drastically effect all obsession related perks. Not only that, but in instances where the obsession is suppose to change (DS, Nemesis, futive chase) which of the obsessions are suppose to swap over to the new target? This is too much of a change for such a small payoff for a single perk.

is possible but only if they had 4 gens very close to done so they pop them in 27 seconds, yes its possible, but extremely MUCH rare to the veary least, the killer probably was afk doing nothing in order for that to happen, or they could of been hackers ( in that case they need less than 27 seconds but still it could be.)
If the gens were already worked on, then they didnt get done in 27 seconds. OP was claiming the match itself was only 27 seconds in when 4 gens popped, not that the survivors had 99ed abunch of gens and someone ran around popping them real quick.

If the product is no longer supported they can. BHVR has drop all support for Windows 7 and 8(.1) because they are no longer supported by Microsoft. Once Microsoft and Sony end the life of XBOX One and PS4 so does any support for games on that platform.
Also there's no contract stating BHVR must provide updates and support. You buy the game as-is with no guarantee of future support.
You dont buy the game though, you buy the rights to PLAY the game. A live services game like DBD isnt playable without support. Theres no offline mode or anything.

The FPS fix is called PS5 and XBOX Series X. I fully expect bhvr to drop older gen support some point in the near future.
I dont think thats even legal to sell a product, then turn around and cut off support. Its one thing if the servers shut down or something due to the game failing, another to do what you suggested. They sold a game under the live service model, so they have to provide the service.

I guess I’m being kinda snarky here but every killer I’ve encountered isn’t even pulling punches or showing a bit of pity. They don’t have to but darn. Since this update I’ve at least tried to let one survivor live. It just feels like unnecessary try harding when they honestly don’t have to due to the update giving them a free pass. I’ve even had killers recently keep hitting me on the hook cause I dared to try sometimes even if it’s pointless during the update. Idk it almost feels like the broken hit boxes have brought out the worst and toxic killers.
People log in so they can play the game. If you're expected to purposefully play bad to make things even...thats not fun. The game being riddled with bugs is never a fun thing. Even if its not affecting the killer directly, indirectly affecting them by crippling their opponents still sucks. Please get rid of this "Survivors hate it so killers must love it" mindset.

The only bait you can do afaik is waiting until you're pretty much touching their back or you do a quick flick upward and that can sometimes make the survivor think you're starting your hitting animation
However this isn't foolproof and people who know how to use Dead Hard well won't fall for this easily
Theres also killer specific fakes. Tapping your power button as wraith causes him to move his weapon, which looks like the beginning of the attack animation.

How is Deliverance an anti-camp perk? If someone camps, and you use it in front of them, you're going straight back down.
If anything Deliverance punishes people who DON'T camp, as you want to use this perk when they are nowhere near the hook.
I'd swap Deliverance for We're Gonna Life Forever, which would make this even more effective at anti-slugging, as you are now slug-proof with Unbreakable, and can quickly pick up other slugs.
Camping would prevent your teammates from getting you off the hook at all. Deliverance would be beneficial for that. Even if you get smacked down immediately after, you still have DS/unbreakable.

I agree that an obsession in every game would be nice, but there needs to be a give and a take. Removing the pressure of no obsession (because when I see an obsession as a killer I instantly think they are going to take stupid hits still) means there has to be something given to killers if your removing that. My suggestion was allow for 2 obsessions if 2 people take obsession perks. This would be a buff to killer, letting them know there is multiple ds's. Just a thought.
That would be a mess. Obsession has more involved than JUST DS, so lets not base the entire thing around 1 perk, lol. I dont want a game with 4 DSes, so all of a sudden if I run STBFL I'll NEVER get tokens. This idea would end up affecting way too much stuff. PWYF and remember me would get a massive buff from being able to gain stacks like crazy, as well as things like Myer's obsession stalking addon.
-
While I understand this, it shouldnt mean that no game should receive criticism. If this game never received any constructive criticism from players who noticed broken gameplay, it wouldve never survived past its first year. Its important to bring up issues with the game without just being shouted at to go play something else if you dont like it.

Yea well the update wasn't very interesting and the hud was bad so no one played it for long
Its not just this update. Every PTB that has a new or reworked killer gets flooded by everyone and their moms wanting to play that particular killer, even survivor mains. This causes killer queues on PTBs to get flooded and making it damn near impossible to play as and test other killers. Typically its only AFTER the fact that we learn that the new map is unplayable for Nurse who can't blind through half of it or something.
-
@Zarr0ch said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1938787#Comment_1938787
While that is true, many games also do NOT have a PTB that reveals many of the issues. The issue is that BHVR ignore this and push out the update anyway
Unfortunately the community as a whole mostly uses the PTB as a testing ground for the new killer/reworked killer rather than actually testing for bugs and such. If a map has an issue thats specific to nurse for example...it wont be caught on the PTB since the few people playing killers thats NOT the new killer just has survivors DC or suicide.
-
They've disabled problematic maps before, this isnt the first time.
-
If you look at the banner on the top of your screen, you'll see these issues have already been brought up.
-
Things like tree spawns are kinda RNG based, meaning while it really sucks that you got fat shamed and this SHOULDNT happen... its unlikely that itll happen repeatly on pale rose, nor that it WONT happen on other maps.

Did you really create an account JUST to try to get people to play a different game?

I'd give him his multi-stalk back and remove the limit of stalk per survivor. This just artificially puts a glass ceiling of potential on him.
If the survivors misplay and stack he should be able to capitalize on that. I also think him preying on the weakest player to help him take down the stronger ones is one of the differentiators of him from Ghostface and removing the stalk cap per survivor emphasizes this.
These things given back adds more skill and strategy to him.
