I think that the Mangled update was a horribly misplaced one. If anything, permanent Hemorrhage was way worse than the debuff from Mangled (unless you used Self-Care) and killed a lot of alternative healing (Counterforce, Solidarity, Reactive Healing).
My opinion is that Hemorrhage should be timer based. Mangled should stay until healed.
100% agree, that was how I felt the moment they released the update. Sloppy was my favorite perk up until the nerf - at least on killer. On survivor I hated sloppy.
-
I’m sick of behavior ruining “survivor sided” maps, so please leave them alone. All of the reworked maps from the past two years are extremely unfun to play on as survivor. Killers at least have perks and ways to deal with survivor sided maps. Survivors got nothing, except of gen rush, which is unfun for both sides and only further encouraged by releasing more bad maps for survivors.
Some years ago everyone agreed Gideon’s meat plant was killer sided, but we have reached a point where everything that is stronger than haddonfield is survivor sided (of course a tiny bit exaggerated, but not much).
They should finally also rework a killer sided map to be more balanced instead of just introducing one unfun rework after another.

Healing nerfs? What are you referring to there?
As for the healing speed increase, 50% is the same as Botany Knowledge, which is a really really solid altruistic healing perk. I'm not against the Ranger Medkit getting a higher number, but I also don't think it's worthless with the number it currently has.
I’m mainly referring to the medkit changes, that happened around the time, where circle of healing lost its self healing ability. They should just undo what they did to medkits.
50% is not really good for altruistic healing, but it makes a huge difference in self healing, which isn’t viable at the moment. 50% saves up 5,4 seconds, which is barely anything and doesn’t make a big difference. At that point I can just use it for myself.
-
I personally want them to revert the healing nerfs they did, but since this will probably not happen anytime soon, I’m on board with your suggestion.
Ranger medkit should still allow self healing and generally speaking 30-50% healing speed increase to altruistic healing is extremely bad, it would need to be 100% or more to be worthwhile, because otherwise it barely makes any difference.

The game is nearly a decade old. There's other Assym games now. Yet they are still adding content and still making money.
What game do you know of that CONTINUES to grow its playerbase after almost a decade of being live? I know of precisely zero except maybe Overwatch and WoW.
And yet.. we still get chapters, licensed and new, and the game still makes money. So obviously playerbase growth isn't a problem. At least not yet. It would be a problem if a bunch of people stopped playing and I mean A LOT of people. This is because as games age, playerbase growth tends to slow down. It grows exponentially for years, then starts to plateau. It's been 8 years, everyone knows what DBD is and what its about. They're not gonna bring in any more super new blood rapidly like they used to anymore… and that's normal and fine, and healthy, as long as they are not LOSING more players than they bring in.
Minecraft has always grown and will always do tho.

Chests in general should have lower priority than killer objects, not just Sadako's TVs
In pig’s case it is actually an advantage, because it messes box spawns.
-
My friends stopped playing dbd, because it is too difficult and favors killers too much. It just isn’t fun for them or anyone to instantly die every game and there is nothing they can do about it. They can’t even hide anymore (distortion nerf), which made them leave all together. It is pretty obvious that new players won’t start playing a game, they struggle all the time and loose 90% of their matches. This just isn’t fun for anyone, which results in not many players staying.
-
While Sadako is my favorite killer and main, I sadly got to give the spot to dredge. He is a lot stronger, easier and a lot less punishing to play.
I mainly play her because of nostalgia and she sticked with me ever since her first version, but I don’t enjoy how they changed her. I enjoyed her teleport gameplay, mindgames and stealth, but everything got nerfed to a point of only being good against beginners and you get stomped by survivors who know the counterplay.
Fun wise I think they are relatively equal. Playing both can be quite annoying. In sadako’s case it is the survivors who have too much control and in dredges case maps with not many lockers.
-
I like the rpd which is bigger on the library side, the other one is too small. Rpd is one of the few fun maps remaining.

no it does not.
it adds 0.25 charges per second as regression. 0.25*60 = 15 charges. 15 charges is 15 second of a gen. the raw % is 17% because 17% of gen == 15.3 charges. I made made mistake in my initial post.
the overcharge has complicated formula which is related to integration because you need calculate range between 1 second and 30 second of regression which i did long time ago and than last 30 seconds is 30*0.25 = 7.5 seconds. overall, i remember that it was around 11-12 seconds of regression. I am just going estimate this because i do not remember exact 1:1 numbers, but it is roughly about 13% regression.
17%+13% is 30%.
call of brine adds 100% regression than stops after 60s. overcharge adds 100% regression over 30 second period than goes on to infinity. The base is 100% regression which is 1/4 slower(0.25 charges per second). over 60 seconds, you get 15 seconds which is 17% regression. when you add 17% from cob, 17% from base, 13% from overcharge and 2.5% from base-kit kick, you get 50% regression over 60 seconds. those were the numbers.
eruption also add 10%.
Okay I understand it know. Sorry in my post before I meant, 15 seconds worth of progress regress in 60 seconds and 15 extra seconds if you had call of brine. I said that wrong with %.

CoB increased regression by 200%, Overcharge was 400%
400% + 200% = 600%
If you are not talking about a ptb version, which I don’t know wether it changed from ptb to live, then it said: The damaged Generator regresses at 150/175/200 % of the normal Regression speed. This means it is 100% basekit regression + 100% call of brine regression.

@Iron_Cutlass said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/435582/past-overcharge-and-call-of-brine-meta
The regression you gain increases the charges per second lost.
PTB Overcharge increased regression by 400% and Call of Brine increased regression by 200%; keep in mind that this would be 600% combined.
Regression from kicking Generators is 0.25 C/S (Charges Per Second) with 90 Charges (360 Seconds); Survivors repair Generators at 1 C/S with 90 Charges (90 Seconds). With Overcharge and Call of Brine, this is increased 1.5 C/S with 90 Charges (60 Seconds), or in other words, it would regress the Generator at a faster rate than it could be repaired.
Keep in mind you would also get the passive effects of both perks on top of the regression, youd get the difficult Skill Check and regression from Overcharge and youd get the information on hitting Skill Checks from Call of Brine; but there was this weird synergy/bug where the difficult Skill Check would always proc the notification from Call of Brine.
Thanks for the explaination, but wouldn’t it be 1.25 c/s (500%) regression?
100% (basekit) + 100% (call of brine) + 300% (overcharge) = 500%
Edit: Sorry wrote 400% for overcharge, I meant 300%.

It isnt wrong, its just it usually doesnt list changes from PTB to live. 400% Overcharge was only on PTB (thank god)
Yeah that confused me, because I searched them on YouTube to know how strong they were, but they only showed me the stronger version.

it added 8% regression onto gen-kicks over 60 seconds and overcharge added like 5%. 2.5%+8+5 is 15% regression for kicking gens. you get default 15% for total of 30%.
Sorry, but I don’t get your math . Call of brine added 15 seconds to the 15 seconds basekit regression over 60 seconds not 8% and that without overcharge.

Brine gave more regression than Overcharge since it didn't have any buildup, it was at full power immediately.
The only time Overcharge was better was if survivors missed the Overcharge skill check, or if the gen was left regressing long enough for Brine to wear off since it stops after 1 minute.
But regardless of which one was actually stronger they paired well together
Yes, but overcharge got three positive things while call of brine is better at nothing.
Call of brine only got the regression, which was only + 15 seconds and the information, which is not good and can be better by overcharge.
Overcharge got more regression than 15 seconds, can affect more generators than one, has better information if survivors miss skill checks, which also regresses the generator.
Sure the combination should have been nerfed, but call of brine wasn’t even that good at 200% and now does barely anything. It increases the regression to 18.75 seconds, which is 3,75 seconds more than the basekit.

first iteration of overcharge in ptb was regressing 100%→400%. this was later nerfed to 100% →200%. the gen have hard-limit of being regressed by 400%. people attempt to combine call of brine+overcharge for 500% but it was bugged in the ptb due to hard limit. instead of raising upper limit, BVHR immediately nerfed it. even with nerf, it didn't solve the problem because issue was infinity kicking still allowed almost every killer to drag out every game for 30-40 minutes on nearly every map.
eventually all corresponding perk were nerfed and gen-kicking limits were imposed to not have 40 minute games. Mandy said something like, "DBD was not designed to have long drawn out games".

The 6.1.0 PTB Overcharge was 400% (500% with Brine) but that never made it to a live build, it got nerfed before release.
CoB + Overcharge at its peak on live servers was 300%
Thanks now everything makes sense, but l still don’t get why call of brine got nerfed, because it barely did anything compared to overcharge.

I dont recall anyone ever saying it was 500-600%..?
Maybe it was PTB..? Overcharge could go up to 400% (i think), and then CoB was 200%, but I shelved that meta at the back of my mind because ######### gen kick meta
I found out that the wiki information about overcharge is wrong. It says 200 % for its old version instead of 400%. Now everything makes sense.

How did overcharge make gens regress at 400% speed? In every description I find, it says 200%.
The person in the first video says 600% and the person in the comments says 500% (if both of them are combined).
-
It went in the right direction, but is still very bad. The cooldown is completely unnecessary and extremely punishing. Without it the perk could be good.
-
That would be a nice buff, but I would still not play it.
-
Whispers would be a nerf, because it doesn’t synergies with a lot of things anymore.
Spies from the shadows would be a terrible buff, because you can no longer see the survivors through the black bubble, which now constantly blocks your view.
-
I would make it like lethal for undetectable, which extends the undetectable from all sources by 3-6 seconds.
-
They should have brought back manual scamper with a performing time of 2 seconds.
-
Sadako rework to make her teleport good again and to be more fun for both sides. I would prefer getting her first version as foundation back and adjusting her from there.
A luck/chest update, which make luck work with chests, lets you find addons on items from chests and makes 3 more chests spawn on all maps.
Map changes to killer sided maps for once, instead of only looking at survivor maps.
Item and addon overall to make the weak ones stronger on the survivor side.
Blood web: An option to remove the pop up after every level up in the blood web and spending blood points should be 100 times faster.
Making all of the terrible, bad and niche perks better on both sides, but please not just buffs, that change nothing in the meta.
-
Most of the cold wind maps are insufferable to play on. Hopefully they revert them and if not, then make the corn more dense and make it nighttime like before. At least it’s nice to look at again.

I would disagree and according to the surveys/polls the community did over earlier summer, most maps actually favor survivors boring or not. However, I do agree BHVR needs to find a way to keep the maps interesting, and the tiles fair.
Most people on the forums play killer. I wouldn’t take that as a proof of anything.

Brother you can instantly heal up off a hook in sub 5 seconds with resurgence.
We'll make it turns you into a portable medic for 90 seconds when you unhook people which allows you to reset everyone in 8 seconds solo.
We're gonna live forever had the endurance effect put on a cooldown rather than on a activation effect like before.
Have you actually used any healing perks before? It's night and day the pressure you can deny killers from just having 1 of them on, we're gonna live forever especially destroys killers momentum and can carry solo Q matches very well. All these perks BTW are stackable with each other and you can RIGHT NOW stack 3 healing perks to syringe somebody on the floor and heal them in 4-5 seconds.
In what world are healing perks better now than they were in the past! Self care useless, medkits only have one heal and are incredibly slow, Circle of healing useless ……
Well make it was better in the past and it is not insane. It’s still very slow and it does nothing, when your teammates decide to go for the unhooks constantly.
Complaining about we gonna live forever really shows how you play. It is not a good perk. If you slug that much, that survivors get reliable value from it, then you should think about yourself.
Have you actually used any healing perks before?
Yes and almost all of them were better in the past! The only real upgrade was reassurance, which is a super fair perk, especially since most killers tunnel every match.
Stacking healing perks is not a good play, because you become extremely vulnerable to the killer. Guess why almost no one plays healing perks.
-
It is a good killer perk, but I still have to find out how to equip it.
Jokes aside the invocation perks are completly flawed, because behavior is scarred to introduce any good new survivor perks.

The red stain is an essential gameplay element. Simply removing it permanently without any prerequisite, conditions or downside would be too good.
I don’t think it will be too good, but strong - Yes.
We already got so many ways to gain undetectable, which are all very easy to archive and those also remove all killer tracking perks and the terror radius. Just having no red stain is not that strong in comparison.

You know, that you still hear the terror radius? It doesn’t make you any more stealthy than it already does.

As if I waited for this moment 😅
Beast of prey
- Removes the red stain permanently (new)
- Grants the undetectable status effect after reaching bloodlust one. The status effect is lost once you lose bloodlust.
I want a perk that removes the red stain.

I am beyond myself with gratitude. 💐💐💐
Sincerely, I love horror. I love this game. And I love this community. I’ve always found a home in the horror genre- I’m sure many of us can relate. For one reason or another we are all here enjoying this game together.
@TheSingularity (pre and post 😊)
@C3Tooth We all miss you
@CountOfTheFog 😊😄💐
@Shroompy 😊😄💐
+ Everyone else I didn’t list!!! 💐💐💐
I’m a huge fan of being the change you want to see. The above people have demonstrated a willingness to be that change while remaining their authentic selves. I see Dbd reflected in every single person listed and on this forum. These people will give you the best that they have to offer. Why not match that passion and be the change you want the dbd community to become? Why not? It can happen. They can help you get there.
I wanted to thank @For_The_People for being the first person from the forums that I’ve ever played Dbd with. He is a very sweet person who will give you his time of day in earnest if you need him to. He’s one of the prime examples of politeness in this community. Thank you for being a positive force in the community. 😊😊😊
Lastly I need to thank @solarjin1 . What can I say? When you meet a friend that gets you, you both just know it. Her courage to be funny and humorous is so infectious. She told me that the small pallet in rpd was the most op pallet. I was so naive of game knowledge that I believed her! LMAO! After that I realized that it was anything goes when it came to humor with her. I’m at my best when I can be silly. Solarjin1 is that friend who brings out the best in me. Thank you Solarjin1 for all the laughs and for the laughs to come 😂 I’m going to be collecting🤣🤣🤣
None of this would be possible if we didn’t have a phenomenal community team here to support us discussing this twisted hobby we all have. Thank you again to everyone at Bhvr for putting your hearts and souls (ha!) into everything that is Dbd.
They say you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar…
Let’s just use blood instead 🩸😈🩸
Happy Holidays everyone, I hope everyone stays safe and has a wonderful New Years 😊🎉
Thanks for the nice words.

Those brief periods of invisibility she has while demanifested.
like maybe increase the time between glimpses or something similar.
Thanks for clarifying. Why would you increase the time between them tho? That would make her visible for longer. I would do the opposite and reduce the time between them, because she would be visible for less time and survivors would get confused more easily. Overall buffs to her chase would be very cool.

Easiest way to make sure they can't make you powerless or at least negate some of it is to get an early down, hook, then start teleporting and creating condemned stacks. That way you control the timing of the TVs to a degree and create some immediate pressure.
Basically do what that guy OnePumpWilly does because he's definitely the best Onryo main and manages to control every match even against good teams.
I actually play her pretty decent and get mostly good results. I just don’t enjoy being either super strong, when survivors don’t understand her and being super bad, when survivors understand her.

This was in the survey, yes. They even asked it twice, probably as a test so if someone answered anything different, their answers afterwards would probably not be considered, since the person answering it did not understand what a Rework, what an Update and what a Tweak is.
