  • Sloppy butcher was once my go to perk for every hit and run killer. The timer made it pointless

  • Sprintburst → 60 seconds of exhaustion

Sadako: Remove TV auras, give tapes passive condemned back, only one TV spreads condemned, hooking one survivor gives all other survivors 1 stack condemned, pallet stun immunity lingers for 0.5 seconds, undetectable for her flicker duration, original iri videotape basekit, addon pass

    Myers dash nerf

  • She sucks to play because of the reworks and everything is in the survivors hands

I'm starting to think people sound set ups don't play bass very well? Coz it was the same for Were-Elk. I can hear her power just fine with the new skin but I use headphones. Do you play with tv speakers?

Playing DBD with headphones can be really frustrating, especially against the likes of spirit, so I relate there.

I‘m playing with headphones. Hearing spirit is kinda okey but the direction is hard at times.

  • Out of interest what happens to the dbd license we currently have?

For Doctor, I would like them to stop beating around the bush, make the purple detonation delay addon fully basekit and create a new effect for the addons.

I still don‘t get the reason why they don‘t make the most used addons of weaker killers fully basekit when they are as weak as they are. Instead they always make the addon partially basekit and repeat the same process 20 times, only to make the same addon more and more pointless to run.

  • I‘m still hoping for more for these killers. Ghosty needs his 2vs8 buffs and doctors illusions shoukd move and run around the map to deceive survivors.

  • It‘s very silent for survivors and doesn’t give you good audio clues for when she uses her abillity.

  • In 2vs8 she is fine, but in 1vs4 she needs some nerfs. My biggest problem with her right now is her pay to win skin from the battlepass

This was not in the patch notes and there has been no functionality change to The Doctors Addons - so whilst the text has changed the in-game numbers remain the same.

Now this is ahead of some further minor tweaks to the numbers of The Doctor in the upcoming Bugfix Patch which should be available next week, adding some of the value of the addon the killers basekit etc.

can you give the doctors illusions movement, please?

  • These arrows should be a toggle. They are so annoying

  • @ThatRyanB One thing I don‘t understand is, why did you introduce so many perks that do the same thing slightly differently when you don‘t want us to stack them?

Let’s take healing perks as example. We have so many of them while we only realistically need 3 good ones. What‘s the point of all the other ones when we can‘t stack them? Players will simply choose the strongest ones and ignore the rest.

Could it be 5%, but only while cloaked AND while not being revealed/stalking and out of chase (because you can enter chase and still be cloaked).

If it was only for map traversal and not for chases, they could use a big number, but if it is useable in chase it needs to be lower.

I still don't understand all the resistance to give GhostFace all his 2v8 buffs in 1v4.

The haste from 2vs8 would probably be too high, but 2-3% woukd be fine.

  • I can't believe this actually got through the PTB.

PTBs are not for feedback(, they are for advertisement). Otherwise they would have buffed ghost face in more significant ways, same with some of the other killers, who the majority agreed that these buffs are nothing burgers and super lackluster.

Back to the topic: Yeah diminishing returns sucks and makes no sense on how it is implemented, especially when they do zero perk changes alongside it.

you arent super far from pallet/window

Let's be honest, it works only for pallets. I have yet to see Ghoul without Bamboozle/addon.

Bambuzle should honestly not work on ghoul as it is an super clutch. I played it on him as he came out, but slowly dropped it as it is super boring/effective.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I haven't played him since his rework. He lost his uniqueness as far as I'm concerned. I think I'm part of a minority though as he seems more popular post-rework.

People play him for the sole reason of him being op. If he would require more effort, he would drop just like krasue.

About a nurse rework. Would she become more accessible if she defaulted to 115% movespeed, but was locked out of her blinks until she got a hit. A reverse Spasmodic Breath if you like.

If they made the grey addon that shows where you are gonna blink basekit, she would be much easier to play. Then they could do slith number nerfs and she be fine

I hope these perks do get some changes, particularly Desperate Measures.

Empathic Connection however does not need any buffs; it's heal boost is not it's primary or intended function it's merely a cherry on top to hook people into using the perk. it's actual effect is not something that can really be buffed in any meaningful way since it's range increase from 90m to infinity

They can buff empathic connection by making it show your aura at all times instead of only when injured.

I think the token system is not that bad, since you don't need to hold the button down throughout the whole thing, and in total you get a longer amount.

But the fact that half of what they used to reveal is either gone or locked behind an addon is awful.

The problem with the tokens is that it only allows you to use the map/key a fixed amount of time as before you only needed to tapp it to get a short aura. I‘d rather had them introduce a longer effect for both maps and keys except for blood amber.

But the fact that half of what they used to reveal is either gone or locked behind an addon is awful.

This is what killed the item for me. I used the rainbow map from time to time for all the things it did and then we got a ten times worse Windows of opportunity.

Probably because once these changes go through, Blight will no longer be S-tier, or the strongest killer in the game. Who will be though? Ghoul?

nurse will be the strongest killer in the game by a huge margin.

  • Maps should be changed back to what they were. Nobody wants to use a bad version of windows of opportunity. All they needed to do was making the iri rainbow map green and remove the green/grey map we currently have. Then rework some of the addons and give people who would like it WoO as an addon. Alone the introduction of the token system instead of the old time based system was a huge nerf to both maps and keys. The only good change was that they have a bigger radius.

  • „Everytime a gen gets completed 5 random locks open up.“ When playing dredge I get annoyed by the fact that I‘m stuck in lockers constantly especially the longer the match progresses

That is reportable yes, especially if it's survivors and killers working together to farm and you want a normal match and are being forced into the farming.

Personally when those things happen, I try to do the gens, get out of the match as quickly as possible - farming is not fun. It's a super grey area though, but its definitely reportable.

What happens when you report them? Are they getting banned or something else?

  • I hope doctors illusions will move, shock and try to attack survivors to bambuzle them

  • Nerfing the stacking of healing perks will only make people run the strongest ones and nerfing healing perks is undeserved, same with haste hindered. They were never that good to begin with and really niche builds. For gen speed/regressing stacking there are too many loopholes on both sides and what‘s the point of running a second heal/gen perk when the value drop off is so much to a point it becomes borderline useless.

  • Making ghoul 4.4ms would be the most stupid thing ever. He doesn‘t get to use his power when too close to walls, he has no working antiloop, his power goes on cooldown when breaking pallets and he has no means to down survivors with his power at loops unlike blight.

  • Noed is the perk you are looking for. It gives free kills and rewards the killer when survivors do their objective. We also have fire up and batteries included that also reward the killer when survivors do their objective.

  • It‘s funny how this forum doesn‘t reflect my ingame experience at all. There are so much more tricksters I play against now than before the update and the matches are not bad for them. Trickster also does not feel weak when a good player plays him.

  • It shouldn’t be removed but survivors shouldn‘t be able to glitch through his hitbox to revault

  • Great map, but some pallets are beyond useless. I have more success just holding w than playing any pallet.

  • For bad tricksters it’s a nerf and for good tricksters it’s a massive buff

In my opinion, most killers are genuinely decent, some just require more dedication and understanding of their kits. In the same way we can look at survivor perks like STB and see how strong they can be depending on the skill of the player using them, the same idea applies to most of the killer roster.

I think she’s one of those killers people assume is really weak, which makes her less popular. Because of that, many of the players who do play her are very good with her cause they’ve put in the time to really learn how she works, even if it’s a small pool.

When a character is labeled OP or Strong it attracts a lot of people. When a character is labeled WEAK it does the opposite and filters out most except the specialists. The result is a “weak” character can be terrifying and successful in the hands of the people who stuck around long enough to learn every trick.

I‘ll take that as a compliment, lol

As someone who played her a lot, I hate her current design so much

She's a very unsatisfying Killer to play right now. You either have no power and play the whole match as an M1 Killer, or remove someone from the match in 2 minutes and then the win is meaningless and empty. If I didn't love the Ring franchise so much, I would've stopped playing her entirely to be honest.

    like in her first version

Yeah, her first version definitely had problems but I think at this point it'd be a better drawing board to work from than the mismatch we currently have. She kept getting "half" reworked, where they made big changes to specific parts of her kit, but din't appropriately adjust the rest of it to match the new vision of the Killer. Because of that, there's so many underbaked and leftover "mechanics" from her previous iterations that just make for a confusing and messy set of abilities.

    • Stun immunity while Demanifested is something I see annoy inexperienced Survivors a lot but doesn't really do anything meaningful for The Onryo in an evenly matched chase. A decent Survivor will just wait for you to Manifest and then drop the pallet. If you commit to Manifesting, then you get stunned as normal. And if you don't, then you get pushed onto the opposite side of the pallet anyways and then have to break it to continue chasing. I guess you don't get stunned, but the time you spend Manifesting and Demanifesting for the stun immunity wastes more time than it saves. It's nice that they tried boosting her chase potential, but it's very "meh" and they should just strip this out of her kit entirely to focus her power elsewhere.
    • Her stealth is bizarre. The Undetectable and intermittent invisibility would make you think she's supposed to be a stealth Killer, but you can't actually play her as one because she has a directional Lullaby — which is usually reserved for ranged Killers. I mean, the sound effect is really cool but I don't understand what archetype she's actually supposed to be here. Her chase just doesn't seem threatening enough to warrant Survivors knowing exactly where you are approaching from.
    • Even her HUD is outdated. The Condemned HUD element still flashes when a Survivor heals, a leftover from original Ring Drawing being able to spread Condemned in this way. This hasn't been a feature for ages now but for some reason the still HUD acts like it is.
    • Her add-ons are a big mess too. Stuff like Tape Editing Deck, Sea-Soaked Cloth, and VCR have been rendered obsolete because they weren't appropriately updated with her "reworks".

If they are going to truly fix her, they'd need to update everything at once to be unified and cohesive. But I'm doubtful we'll see that given that she's already received more attention than the average Killer.

The stun immunity is actually helpful, I just think it should linger for half a second to be more useful for mindgames.

Her stealth is such a joke since the visual heartbeat. Before people didn‘t even notice it was there but now…

She's a very unsatisfying Killer to play right now. You either have no power and play the whole match as an M1 Killer, or remove someone from the match in 2 minutes and then the win is meaningless and empty. If I didn't love the Ring franchise so much, I would've stopped playing her entirely to be honest.

You really don’t know how much this means to me. Since the rework on the ptb I was pointing out the flaws of her design and most people laughed at me.

Just in hopes the devs see it, I will link my suggestions for her here.

    @Langweilig said:

A little bit of background to me. I started playing around the Knight release. At that time sadako still had her first version, my favorite version. She was really scary and hard to play against. She constantly appeared out of nowhere and had full control over her TVs. Something that I‘m very much missing. To make it clear I‘m not complaining about winning too little. I have a 65% kill rate, but she just isn‘t fun to play. You either stomp survivors pretty easily or you get stomped, because survivors have full control over your power if they decide to use it. There is nothing Sadako can do to keep her TVs turned on and counter survivors turning them off if survivors play well.

With these changes my goal is to make her more fun for both sides (based on her first version), stronger against experienced players (where she desperately needs help) and it would be awesome if she got an addon pass to give her more options to choose from.

    Basekit changes

    • She keeps her undetectable for the lingering flickering duration (,which is 4 seconds after manifesting). (New, better version of well water basekit)
    • The pallet stun immunity lingers for 0.5 seconds after manifesting. (New)

Often when I watch someone play her, I rarely see them use her demanifested state even tho it is a cool mechanic and quite useful. These changes would make her invisibility mindgame a little easier and beginner friendlier by not giving away her position with the red stain and by extending the pallet stun immunity a little bit. (I would only make the pallet stun immunity linger for 0.5 seconds because otherwise people would pre drop pallets even more against her).

    • She has her lingering flicker for 4 seconds after crawling out of a TV. (new)

It basically gives her the two above mentioned effects (undetectable and pallets stun immunity) and the flicker after coming out of a TV, which would make her scarier, stealthier and less predictable.

    • Allow her to keep flickering while breaking pallets and vaulting windows.

It would allow for more ways to mindgame and outplay survivors by vaulting windows/breaking pallets invisible, which I always wanted to do.

    • Please remove TV auras.

In her first version I loved trying to outplay survivors by teleporting ahead of them or where I thought they would run to cut them off. Sometimes more successful, sometimes less, but it no longer works when they know exactly where I will be through walls via the TV auras. Her teleport was the most fun part about her and it’s sad to see how ineffective it became. She also relies on bringing bloody fingernails every match because of them. You could probably make it basekit, but removing TV auras again would be the better solution.

    • Increase the tape insertion, grabbing and the speed for turning off TVs to 1,5 seconds.

More opportunities for jumpscares and counterplay to putting in tapes/turning off TVs in her face.

    • QOL: On the second hook all condemned stacks get locked in.

On death hook it wouldn’t make much of a difference between getting moried or hooked. The outcome would be the same. It would just be a nice change.

    • Tapes grant one stack of condemned for every 25 seconds you hold them.

I really dislike that taking tapes is encouraged/forced and how free it became to deny her mobility (my favorite part of her power). There is no drawback or thought process behind it. You just run to the TV and turn it off. There is nothing the Sadako player can do to prevent it and it leaves you with nothing left to use.

    • Hooking a survivor grants one condemned stack to all other survivors. (Better version of ring drawing basekit)

It would be a healthy change for her. Her power is designed in a way that you are better off not hooking (slugging), which is why there should be a bigger incentive/reward for it and it would be a much better/healthier way to spread condemned than having to spam the teleport, which is not really liked by survivors nor Sadako players, because it is really boring and annoying.

    • When hooking a survivor with 0 lock in-able stacks, they will get 1-2 normal stacks. (New)

Hooking someone without any stacks often feels very bad and discourages me from doing so, because it feels like I‘m playing poorly.

    • You only spread Condemned around the TV you projected to.

I think her all TV condemned design is not good for her. It makes her stronger against beginners and weaker against experienced players (where she needs a lot of help). Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Weaker against less experienced survivors, because they aren’t as good at the game and stronger against experienced players when the Sadako player gets better with her. As of right now less experienced players struggle a lot and die very fast against her while experienced players can take away her whole power. By nerfing the condemned to no longer spread around all TVs, it would allow to give her back a lot of control over TVs and have a little detection system that tells her someone is near you whenever someone receives a stack after the teleport.

    • Original iri videotape basekit: Hitting a survivor within 8 seconds after manifesting turns back on the last 4 TVs turned off by projection.

Making this addon basekit was what most Sadako players hoped for back then. It was her best, most fun (to this date) and one of her most used addons for a reason. It should have been made fully or partially basekit like you did with many other killers. It would make this killer a lot more fun to play if it came back (especially basekit).

    Addon changes

My goal is to give every addon an unique and interesting purpose. These ideas would work with and without the above mentioned basekit changes. Some of the addons are either too weak, would become basekit and need a new effect or aren‘t needed as an effect anymore, which is why I suggest these changes.

    Chase addons

🔴 Iri videotape (rework) - for map traversal and chasing with TVs

    • Sadako can teleport to a turned off TV, which doesn‘t spread condemned 📺. Add a cool flickering effect to the turned off TV when she crawls out of it. (New)

    🔵Telephone (made blue)

    • Survivors suffer from a -7% (was -3%) hindered Status Effect for 3 seconds, when Manifesting within 7 meters of them.
    • Reduces the required time to manifest and demanifest by 0.2 seconds (to 1.3 seconds). (new)

🟣 Tape editing deck - for jumpscaring people

    • All Survivors start the Trial with a tape and have to bring it to the furthest TV.
    • Survivors who are in a 3 meter radius to an active TV get twice as many stacks of condemned and are revealed by killer instinct. (new)

    🟣 VCR

    • Causes all TVs to make sounds when using projection.
    • Generators near an active TV start regressing again when you project somewhere. (New)

🟢 Well stone (rework) - for the early game

    • At the start of a match she crawls out of a TV next to a survivor and the TVs are not on a 30s long cooldown. (new)

    🟢 Sea-soaked cloth (rework)

    • While demanifested and during the lingering flicker duration break pallets/walls, vault windows and recover from successful basic attacks 15% faster. (New)

⚪️ Newspaper (merged with reikos watch)

    • Increases the duration of your full Invisibility after Manifesting and while being demanifasted by +33 %.

We don't need two addons for basically the same thing.

    🟢Reikos watch (rework) (meme addon)

    • The haste from protection gets turned into hindered and given to survivors and the killer for the duration of the speed when someone is within 16 meters of the TV you projected to.

The victims wouldn’t be able to move like in the movies, while Sadako slowly comes closer to them.

    Condemned addons

🟣Ring drawing (rework and made purple)

    • Condemned Survivors spread their Condemnation to other Survivors, who complete a Healing action on an injured Survivor. (revert)
    • Hooking a survivor with tape, grants all other survivors one stack of condemned. (If it doesn‘t become basekit)

    🔵Well water (rework)

    • Every time a generator gets completed every survivor receives a stack of condemned. (New)

    ⚪️ Cabin sign (rework)

    • Hitting a survivor breaks their tape. (New)

    Hit and run addon

    🟢Yoichis fishing net

    • Survivors with 2 stacks get mangled (new), with 4 stacks blindness and with 6 stacks hemorrhage (new).

    Stealth Adoons

    🔵Rickety pinwheel

    • Survivors suffer from the silence (was oblivious) and fog status effect when within 12 (was 8) meters of a turned on TV and within 3 (was 0)meters of a turned off TV. This effect lingers for 1-2 seconds after leaving its radius (new).

    New status effect: Silence

    • You become deaf and don't hear anything (the lullaby). The visual heartbeat deactivates.

    New status effect: Fog

    • There is a (white) wall of fog which blocks your view and auras outside of a 18 meter radius.

Oblivious isn‘t useful for her because of the lullaby. The new silence effect has the advantage of removing the lullaby as well as the terror radius. The fog effect would create a better atmosphere while limiting aura effects and the view. The radius changes are there because TVs are turned off most times.

    🟢 Clump of hair

    • Reduces the threshold for full Invisibility while Demanifested to 14 (was 18) meters and the full invisibility lingers for 0.5 seconds (new).

In the end all I hope for are changes that focus on making her a fun character again. I don‘t care whether she gets buffed or nerfed, just make her fun to play again. It didn‘t matter to me back then when she was considered weak. She was a blast to play. I enjoyed the hard but rewarding matches where I had to work for every win without getting it handed to me. Not every killer needs to be blight level strong. Give them some cool, fun and unique mechanics that only they have and you have a blueprint for success.

  • Thank you for bringing this up. As someone who played her a lot, I hate her current design so much. At some point she is just not playable anymore. When all my survivors are competent and turn off TVs, I can‘t do anything. On the flip side the matches I win with her aren‘t because I played well, but because the survivors are idiots and this feels bad as well. Stomped or being stomped was her motto and it’s completely in the survivors control. I tried suggesting ideas on how to fix her multiple times, but I always fell on dead ears. I really hope they rework her again as this version is just not safeable. The condemned spread speed is too fast, her TVs have to be shut down all day long because of balancing reasons and she has nothing to work with because of it. The condemned spread speed should be slower and TVs being turned off should be discouraged again, so she has mobility and control over her power once again like in her first version.

Mandy, just nerf or remove the ghoul's ability to jump over pallets. It's like Chucky used to be, and it was removed because it's extremely fast and guarantees a free hit. You also need to change his body block somehow. It's extremely frustrating to take a basic attack and then be instantly caught and receive a body block preventing you from reaching the pallet or window. You need to do something about the ghoul as soon as possible. It's extremely frustrating to log into DBD after a day of work and want to relax, only to keep falling with ghoul after ghoul.

His vault is not a problem. We can argue about it being maybe slightly too fast by 0.1-0.2s but there is no need to remove it. Currently the vault is mostly pointless if you are not mindgaming survivors or if it isn‘t a super strong loop, which is totally fair.

  • @Mandy I think ghoul is Strenght wise fine as you said. The main problem was always that he isn‘t very difficult to play. Take nurse and blight for example. They are op but people accept them because they are kinda difficult to play and therefore don‘t mind loosing as much. Ghoul on the other hand has an hitscan attack that has very little counterplay much like legion which isn’t liked as much for that reason, only difference, legion isn’t as oppressive as ghoul, which makes him more bareable. You did a lot of great changes to ghoul like removing kidnap tech and trying to solve the injury through walls that was always annoying (even tho it still needs a little work).

The main thing you need to solve in my opinion is increasing his skill celling and making it possible to mess up more/allow more mistakes.

I made a suggestion at his release and I will link it as I still have the same opinion. There the main thing I wanted was giving his hitscan attack more counterplay as getting injured for free never felt good on any killer and I wanted the reduction of his minimum required distance for a leap from 5m to 3m, which would allow him to do more skillful bodyblock plays at loops that could potentially be messed up. Also reducing it would make him way less clunky to play, so I hope you will change this with whatever nerfs he will recieve.

    @Langweilig said:

The two big things I want to touch are his hitscan injury attack to give it more counterplay and nerf kidnap tech while giving him two quality of live changes to make him feel less clunky.

    Hitscan attack nerfs

    • Reduce the hitscan hitbox for survivors. I‘m still hitting survivors that I don‘t want to hit and it is still almost impossible to miss. Imagine if it was smaller and he missed, he would pull himself towards an object, which would not only be funny and rewarding for survivors, he would also be able to mess up more which is something he needs.
    • Reduce the time he has to start another leap from 5 seconds to 4 or 3 seconds. This would make him harder to play and reduce the boring gameplay of running around a loop with his power to eventually injure someone.
    • Reduce the leap distance for injury attacks to 10 or 8 meters, so he does have to get a little closer to survivors.
    • Reduce the required time to mend when affected by his mark.

All these things should give survivors a lot more counterplay and reduce the frustration evolving around his hitscan attack.

    Nerf/remove kidnap tech

Probably the biggest issue of most players. The best thing would be to give it the same outcome as the normal vault or a slightly better one.

    Two quality of live changes

    • Increase the leap range when not shooting at survivors to 16 meters.
    • Reduce the minimum required distance for a leap from 5 to 3meters.

Both of these things would be slight buffs for sure, but I would consider them more as quality of live. Everyone who played him knows what a pain it can be to shoot at stuff 20 times before he pulls himself towards something. Strength wise I don‘t think this changes too much.
