It's not "bashing" if it's true. DBD's survivor playerbase is by far the most entitled, whiny and disgusting playerbase I've ever seen, LoL and CoD aren't even close.
-
BHVR truly thinks their playerbase is so stupid that they can call a 0.05 second reduction a "buff" and people will buy it. JUST SAY YOU DON'T WANT TO BUFF ANY WEAK KILLERS.
-
Just do a ranked queue and casual queue already.
In Casual you can gain bloodpoints and do challenges, but you don't rank up for the monthly BP bonuses or gain XP for shards.
Either that, or do a "Barebones Mode" where perks, items, addons, and offerings are disabled.

I get cheaters in 1 out of 5 games now. No longer worth playing.
-
If they did this I would just farm 4 survivor bots to use iri addons on killers in every single public match.

Oh make no mistake, I sure don't have hope in people. I can only do my best to not be a dick in a video game. I don't really expect any consideration in return. The problem is that there are sides at all. Most of the more reasonable people I interact with play both sides.
Why do you feel killers would be buffed so hard if they disincentivize this playstyles?
Because the most biased killer mains are the loudest people in this community. It's also what most of the popular content players favor. It's the role that sells the game. They will kick and scream just like they did with the last effort to mitigate cheese. That ptb lasted, what, 3 days? Nothing will happen without them getting massive compensation.
The cogs in your head sure aren't turning. If biased killer mains got what they wanted, 2/3s of the roster wouldn't be hot garbage, Blight and Nurse wouldn't have been nerfed, these killer "buffs" wouldn't be a joke, and SWF would have gotten nerfed years ago. It's astounding that after 9.2.0 showed BHVR's true intentions with the game that you still SOMEHOW think they care at all about killers, nevermind that you actually think they favor them over survivors. You're either staggeringly oblivious at best, or disgustingly malicious at worst.
-
This is on par with BHVR when it comes to killer "buffs". Frankly, I don't see how any of you are surprised.
-
Why waste time banning them? They have tens of thousands of free Epic games accounts thanks to the multiple free weekends. They will never run out and as others have said, not only can they cheat in any skin or item they want, they can infect OTHER PLAYERS with their cheats in an attempt to get innocent players banned.
What a mess.

why has it taken so long.. it’s been so obvious for ages… makes it seem like they are out of touch with there own game.
Probably because once these changes go through, Blight will no longer be S-tier, or the strongest killer in the game. Who will be though? Ghoul?
-
I'm hoping every killer on that buff list gets something that improves their performance noticeably.
However, I expect they will get meaningless bread-crumb number tweaks that literally change nothing. Empty gesture buffs, in other words.

I wonder…What if a survivor in the dying state could crawl to an incomplete generator, slowly pick themselves up to a crouching position (by using the generator itself to pull themselves up), and do the generator (maybe at 50% speed, you ARE dying, after all) and when they decide to leave the gen, whether they complete it or not, they end up back on the ground. While on a generator, it could also pause your bleedout timer.
It would be better than doing nothing, and forces the killer to either hook/kill you or risk getting a 2k instead of a 4k.
-
I find it amusing that the same people who say "why does it bother you? it's just CrOuChInG" are the same people who will cry and scream when someone suggests the killer should be able to end the match when all living survivors are on their feet and the exit gates are open.
The only sane argument to this is because it would make 1 or 2 challenges almost impossible, like the Last Minute Hero challenge. Simple fix, either remove the challenge, or change it to be completable after the gates are powered, not after EGC begins. If you have any other disagreement, it's because it's as toxic as you deny it to be, and you want to force killers to subject themselves to it.
There's only 1 correct way to play the game: however you want, as long as you don't do something that could get you banned. If someone doesn't like it, that's just too bad. Some people in this playerbase really need to grow up.

Maybe a way to discourage this would be to give the Survivor Broken for 60 seconds if Endurance is used. If the killer is going to tunnel them anyway, this won't matter, and if they're not, they have to weigh the choice of either bodyblocking the killer and being injured for a period of time or using base-kit endurance for what it was intended for: anti-tunneling.
-
Unless BHVR buffs dozens of perks that will be left in the trash once they can no longer stack, this will actually kill build diversity further. Players will instead resort to only bring the best haste perk, the best healing perk, etc, and builds will become even more homogenized. Why would I ever use Batteries if it gives me a measly 2.5% haste? I'll just slap on Furtive Chase for the fat haste bonus, and then combine it with the best gen regression perk and the best gen blocking perk.
While it seems their intent is to discourage perk stacking rather than kill the practice altogether, it most likely will reduce the overall number of perks you see in your lobbies.

I've had three killers today slug my remaining teammate repeatedly in order to search for me and furnish a 4K. I kept picking up my remaining teammate, and the killer kept knocking them down. This went on for 3 min, 5 min, and a knight kept us in toba landing for nearly 7 minutes.
My kill rate with most killers is around 60% with some ranging 70-80% (clown/legion/Herman). I have NEVER needed to hold a slug on the ground that long for a 4K. If I can't find 'em within a minute or two I'll just pick up and start the race for hatch. As killer I move at 4.6 so I can easily cover more ground while keeping an eye out for crows. a 3K is a win anyways, a 4K is just a bump in BP and some different text on the screen. I view the time of myself and others as finite resource to be optimized.
What I've seen today is borderline egregious. When the anti-tunneling/slugging update came, I was one of the many voices on X and TikTok advocating for killer mains; those were some extremely punishing mechanics that genuinely punished the act of playing killer. After what I've seen during this Blood Moon event-after these last 8 months, if BHVR brings them back I will remain silent.
Something isn't adding up here. How can a killer slug your teammate for 5-7+ minutes? It doesn't take that long to bleed out.
