@SoylentPixie Amen to that<3
-
_> You obviously have never gotten me then. I've actually had people that got sandbagged thank me for punishing people who do so.
-
Ok feel free! I love beating the snot out of worthless little traitors like you who body block their teammates, farm them, or alert me to the location of their team members.
-
I think I remember one of the devs saying it's because The Trials exist in a quasi dream realm, hence why Freddy has slightly more physical power in the world in the forms of searching lockers and breaking stuff. As such, since it is difficult, if not impossible to talk coherently in you're dreams, the survivors don't talk.
-
Best hatch I ever gave was due to the adrenaline glitch that caused someone to stay physically in the dying state in terms of appearance, but was actually in the injured stated. I laughed so god damn hard at this crawling person moving at adrenaline speeds, I couldn't bring myself to hook them when I finally caught them.
-
Sadly most people announce their hours played because of the people who are of the variety of, "Who are you to offer suggestions? I've obviously played longer than you if you actually think these ideas would work. BLARG!"
God I hate dealing with people like that but in any multiplayer game, you're bound to run into them.
As for a feature I'd like to see, a menu option for how many of each type of emblem you have achieved in your lifetime that is maybe displayable on Steam as well. -
This. Most people when they see a Doc coming just run, no ands ifs or buts. It may seem like they know you're there, but most times survivors reveal themselves by bolting out of hiding like a scared animal being hunted.pemberley said:In my experience, when people see doctor they tend to be a lot more lax about making their positions known. -
Actually I like that better. How long has that been gone?
-
Hmm... So some examples maybe being
Ruin: gain no boosted progress from Great Skill Checks.
NOED: Be put in a Borrowed Time health tick down state if the killer hits you with an attack.
Third Seal: Aura reading range greatly diminished.
Lullaby: you sometimes don't get alerts for skill checks.
Devour Hope: based on when it's broken. Three tokens same as NOED. 5 tokens it functions as a yellow mori except you don't need to be the last one alive. -
No... just... no...
Number 1, six perk slots are absolutely frigging ridiculous. There is no need.
Number 2, while yes there are 16 total survivor perks in play, you're not always having to deal with all 16 at once. Some people make loop builds, others gen rush, some stealth, and others meme. Honestly there is no real perk setup where you'll have to deal with all 16 perks being active and used against you at once. The moment you take chase to a generator rush build, all their gen repair speed perks are worthless. Likewise, looper builds aren't active unless the killer is chasing them. While on a generator they're just sitting there. -
Chili add-ons for Leatherface personally.
Freddy Nancy's Masterpiece
Pig Obviously Rule Set 2
Myers Boyfriend's Memo
-
Oh agreed. I just find some of them enjoyable.
-
The point of the topic was to point out some of the more absurd ones lol ^_^
-
Ooo got a new good one.
"All survivors are to instinctually know when a killer is using Barbecue and Chill and allow themselves to be hooked so the killer can get all four stacks to his perk." -
Any good stealth killer I love to go against because they keep you on your toes.
As for worst I'd honestly have to say Leatherface because 99% of the ones I run into are face campers that do nothing else. I can now finally start counting on two hands the amount of Leatherface players I've gone against that didn't get multiple kills due to camping, which kinda shows that if people would be willing to put in the god damn effort they'd be decent with him, but nope gotta camp. And tunnel. And one hook mori. -
Yeah the individual in question was a rank 11 with their three rank 2 buddies and stated I was crap for having to be carried to rank 2 killer...
Not sure how one gets CARRIED when you're only able to play by yourself but whatever lol ^_^ -
@PhantomMask20763 Like I said I wish I were making that crap up lmfao.
@PigNRun oh yeah with you there too. -
If I'm playing Clown I also mix my bottles before a pick-up and smash one down. If they rush into the cloud, the initial cough will make them unable to aim it. If they rush in before and start coughing right away, they'll be able to aim it after though. It's dependent on what the survivor knows about the killer.
As I recall, due to their short stature, Freddy and Hag are two of the hardest to blind. That may have changed though
As everyone has said, always try and pick survivors up facing a wall if possible. Also be aware that survivors don't need to be in your LoS to blind you. It's a little infuriating, but there is a spot on either side of your head that survivors can aim at and blind you unless your nose is right against the wall. -
Make No Mither give the wielder the "Exposed" status effect. Then treat "Exposed" as though it were an injury for the perks that apply to injured survivors. Next, allow survivors to realize who has No Mither on them, but don't allow the killer to know.
This way the No Mither works per normal, but the killer is unable to tell who is "injured" and who is not.
-
To paraphrase the Devs: "The realm of The Entity is a world akin to that of your dreams. As you're unable to talk in your dreams, you can't talk in an in game round."
-
YES!
-
@Peasant How dare you sir! I not only want my Wraith to Conga, I want him to do the Charleston!
-
While you may not have said it there were others who had. My statement was directed to the individual who had done so. There is more than just you and I in this conversation.
The only issues I've really had with Wraith is the slowdown while uncloaking can sometimes screw me up. Otherwise I do just fine at rank 1. I average between 2-3 kills a game. Usually get everyone hooked at least once. Current running build is Brutal Strength, Enduring, Spirit Fury, and Save the Best for Last. Been doing me just fine. He's just an M1 killer that suffers from the same issues all M1 killers do, and my build has been helping minimize that issue. Hell I'll even cloak after hitting someone to catch up, and emerge knocking them out. -
Not all of it is potentially the killer's fault either. Since Clown's release there's been a bug that if enough survivors enter and leave a lobby it causes the game to crash upon a group of four readying up. A lot of killer mains I know close out lobbies to keep their games from crashing after about the second or third survivor dips out.
-
No idea. Just had it happen to me the other day much to my shock. Someone told me it's meant to counter collision, but if a survivor can't jump in a hatch with a killer on it normally it doesn't make sense for a key to counter it lol.
-
Yeah they're constantly looking behind themselves and not realizing you've slipped in front of them. It's on par with people that have lit RBTs on their heads trying to shove you off hatch as Pig.
Fun fact. For whatever reason you can't sit cloaked on top of hatch as Wraith vs a survivor with a key. It shoves you off it. Quite a good distance away actually. -
I'm enjoying the new Windstorm to beat survivors to vault points and pallet drops and just stand there, waiting for them thinking they're going to loop me, only to bump into my now uncloaking Wraithness lol
-
The new Totem Roulette Meme build is actually very strong because of Haunted Ground. You play Thrill of the Hunt and Haunted Ground alongside two other beneficial hexes. The survivors then have to play the odds. 60% chance of getting a totem that does nothing truly beneficial to aid them and a 40% chance of breaking your beneficial totems. Five totems in play at once, every single one of them capable of alerting you to when they're being touched by survivors. And they WILL be touched by survivors because Survivors are to lit totems like Moths to a flame. Thus you also have map awareness that can't be blocked except by leaving the totem alone. Otherwise, if you have a killer with high mobility, it's a simple matter of reaching the survivor and knocking them off it.
-
1.) Do my best to not tunnel. If you just keep popping out of nowhere I might give you a free pass once, but afterwards it's game on.
2.) If I have a sudden lag spike for whatever reason (I do have an older machine I play on it happens), and I get someone, I let them go. Not my cup of tea to get someone because my computer decided to be a prick. Got a little too much pride for that.
3.) Ignore the attention seekers. The longer you do so, the more likely they are to screw up.
4.) Attempt to steer away from playing Nurse or Hillbilly at high ranks. People see enough of them, and I like to mix it up. -
@Maximus7 he was somehow behind the wall my end too.
-
0_o Windstorm add-on has been nerfed? Are you serious right now? I encourage you to either stack Windstorm and Swift Hunt together or Purple and Green Windstorms. The global map coverage you have is re-god-damn-diculous. Play the add-ons, go cloaked, dart off, and then shoot back in for the MYC drop. Honestly the only thing that can truly state this is this one video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5edkoUo36wk .It's honestly just different. I'm current annihilating people as the new Bing Bong. True the lack of blood glow is kinda sad but honestly I've not been needing it and honestly hadn't even frigging noticed until you mentioned it now lol.
-
To give an idea of how broken the hit boxes were, I was the Huntress against Yoonz in this clip a while back. Even "I" don't know how the hell this hit him.
-
Happened quite frequently and I've done it quite frequently. People think you can only burn him at close range but honestly you can nail him from a distance.
The reason you've probably not seen it done much is because lightburn is one of the many things a good chunk of newer DbD players don't know exists in game. Also on this list is crouch walking over Hag traps, angle of approach to window changes vault speed, and a few other things I can't think if right away. These are things vets to the game are aware of but most newer players aren't. -
I've actually been giving this some thought and I'm curious if it's a major bug and not a "shadow nerf."
I only wonder this because this change has happened since the PTB ended and there was a major change to Huntress, Hag, and Spirit. That being the bug plaguing their melee lunges was fixed.
Now this fix occured late into the PTB as I recall when next to no one was playing on it, let alone playing as Huntress. So I'm wondering if the bug in question was some sort of spliced code between the melee attack and the huntress hatches that when it got fixed screwed up the hatchets. Given the track record of attempts to fixing one thing totally shattering other related things, it stands reasonable that this might be the case. -
Speaking of hitboxes, I love watching survivors vault through windows that have traps on the other side that are set, land in them, and run away without being caught.
-
Apparently there have been issues on all killers with pallet stuns not applying. I saw Yoonz post a tweet on it earlier today.
-
If I see more than one Claudette in a group I go for the throat right off the bat instead of slowly ramping stuff up.
Dealing with a SWF group that last second swapped to all Claudettes with dark clothes, TWO new moon bouquets, and a Red Forest offering with each toting purple flashlights will do that to you... -
Oh agreed. Simply stating it's not bugged. Thought that's what you meant by "faulty."
-
@Dr_Trauts said:
Both of his chilli addons are still faulty ;(According to the Dev's their not. It's not that they make you faster it's that you accelerate to your top chainsaw speed faster.
However we'll just have to take that with many grains of sand lol.

Not going to lie I've been an open critic of Leatherface since his introduction. However I've been playing a fair amount of him as of late and discovered that he THRIVES as an ambush killer. I've been making good use of M&A on him in addition to the new Tinkerer and things have been working quite well.
I will state though his saw is a little weak and like Pig, he suffers from some useless add-ons. His slow down when he charges his saw makes it very difficult to catch up to people. If you're 99.99% done with a charge and let go it fully resets you to nothing so you're forced to hold it longer than neccessary to ensure the saw will trigger. Lastly, as I stated, his add-ons leave something to be desired. The increased speed from the raker add-ons is nice but since you're already slowed so much during a charge it's not really worth it. The muffler add-ons are a joke since the only purpose of a quiet saw is to not hear you coming with a charged saw, but his saw doesn't work in a way that it matters.
-
First off, LOVE the title. Got a large chuckle out of me.
This was actually stated in today's stream I believe or a recent one that they attempted to do what you suggested and survivors abused the crap out of it. Dev's own mouth.
Play the game man. I'm serious. Camping sucks but the more you throw yourselves at a camped survivor, the more your proving to killers that it works. Work on generators and find totems. Let the killer have his one kill and leave the match with all the gens done in the mean time. -
@No_Mither_No_Problem I believe I'm about to make your knife fingered day because someone linked me something...
-
Yeah that's about where I am with it. If the means for the macros require an outside program to work I HOPE it counts as a third-party insta ban but i don't know. Hence why I'm asking. Is there someone specific I should tag to answer this for further clarification?No_Mither_No_Problem said:Ah, yes, flashlight clicking. The most TOXIC form of taunting on the planet.
Like, at least you can look away from tbagging/pointing. If the day ever comes where it becomes bannable, me and Sharp Hand Joe will cry tears of joy.
-
Some do. Others use programs to make it so a single mouse click count as like 50 or more clicks.
-
What everyone else has already said.
-
The devs also stated though that if they took away his aura reading ability of asleep survivors they'd basically give him the Class Photo by default so he can see the auras of awake survivors while people are transitioning. The issue is finding that first one.Dabrownman1812 said:Freddy needs tuning and buffs like hag, not rework. Seeing survivors is the only strength he has, don't take it away devs! -
-raises shot glass- welcome to the party. Been saying this since the update and people yelled at me on here like I was crazy because it wasn't happening to them.
There also doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to when they're able to avoid it. I've watched survivors vault through windows, land in the trap, and keep going. HELL Noob3's Trapper video JUST AFTER THE PATCH shows EXACTLY this. Then the next time a survivor goes through it, it works exactly as it should.
I watch survivors run through pallet drop points, and somehow avoid the trap smack dab in the middle of the the ground without needing to drop the pallet to do so.
One little light though is Honing Stone seems to fix it. At least for me. Only when I'm using a Honing Stone does this seem to not be an issue. -
All you get is a bloodpoint alert that someone tiered up lol.
-
If you want Thanatophobia to be good, you need to go for broke on the "Anti-Healing" thing like I do on my Clown. Thanatophobia, Coulrophobia, Distressing, and Ruin with Sulfuric Acid Vial and whatever secondary add-on that suites your fancy.
I went back over a person's stream to see their PoV after all was said and done. One of his viewers commented how it would've taken them 35 seconds to heal someone else a single state of injury. Possibly even more.
If you want Thana to be good, you need to build around it.
-
It's an issue that occured when they removed pallet vacuums. Expect to notice a difference when the next patch goes live.
