I think if a downed survivor hovers over a fully charged medkit, they should be able to pick themselves up in exchange for ALL the charges of said medkit- AND they need to be max self-recovered before doing so. And ofc, they would be in the injured state once on their feet.

I had a game with a good blight just now. 2 of my teammates were babies. I managed to pick them up and got 2 escapes.
Before that I had 2 games where I also escaped. NOW...i got again 2 babies, only this time they werent doing gens or saving.Me and my friend spent 10 minutes loopin the killer and saving. We both suicided on hook. While spectate Feng left her mate to die over a gen.She gave her location and died after too.
Matchmaking is broken
This is everyday for me, for the past 3 weeks. Gawd help me. 🫥

The current matchmaking gets one shot at a fair-ish grouping. This is being wreaked by lobby dodging, causing often quite unfair backfillings. Doesn't matter if it's the killer sniffing a SWF or a surv seeing a cosmetic or name they don't trust, whatever the reasoning.
We are doing it to ourselves actually.

If a group of survs (SWF or not) has been dodged and is waiting long enough they throw in the next available killer no matter their MMR. Things like that
I saw someone mention this in another thread, and after my games today- I’m starting to think this is pretty accurate. Some of my worst games of the day have been when the original killer leaves after seeing me with a map or the latest cosmetic (while teammates have old or default skins), then when the match starts with the “new” killer, he’s waaay out of our league. Then when I play killer and come into a lobby with 4 players all already qued up, it’s a miserable time.
-
Never gave it some thought, but I may have a couple or so…let me think:
Clown: Fat boy
Yea, that was my only one unfortunately. Everyone else I just use an abbreviation of some sort like “Meyers” for MM, or “Demo” for Demogorgon. Nothing original. When I used to play in SWF that’s how I would call out Clown to my friends if I spotted him first: “It’s fat boy.” They would all get a chuckle out of that one, lol.

This is why I believe BHVR needs to make a DBD 2. The game mechanics for DBD are antiquated. Too much power is the hands of one side depending on the match. Experienced SWF? Killer has a miserable time the ENTIRE match. Frustrated killer who can’t see who is partied up? Camps and tunnels every game just to be sure and able to compete: solo survivors have a miserable time the ENTIRE match.
This game is not fun for me any more. I’m getting more frustration than enjoyment. Yesterday I dropped $30 on auric cells, and today I told myself that needs to be my last monetary support. Just game after game with teammates no where competent or on my level, and every single killer is GOOD. Way better than the four of us. This matchmaking is killing me.
Sometimes I wonder where Friday the 13th would be now, had that lawsuit not taken place…. Damn I miss that game at its peak.
-
Everytime I equip a Purple Medkit with gel dressings and scissors, I summon a Plague. Every. #########. Time.
-
I wish we could see the numbers for solos vs. SWF’s. I really am curious to see who makes up the majority of the community or whether it’s a close race. A lot of players say the game will die if SWF’s are handicapped or removed from public matches. I feel like it won’t, because my impression is that solo’s outnumber the 3-4 SWF’s. And with everything I just said, it’s safe to assume large SWF groups believe they control the census. Wonder who is right…

Actually I take that back- I do have one killer I enjoy going against and its the Dredge. Well designed.

The screeching at the beginning of the trial does.
People DC at the beginning when they hear her regardless. It really doesn’t matter what she has. Certain players will DC when they know it’s her.
-
Ever seen the movie Crash? That’s the DBD community. Everyone perpetuating their stereotypes while treating each other like crap, which then causes a domino effect of the victims taking it out on someone else. It’s a never ending cycle.
-
Lol the add-on has nothingT to do with them DC’ng.
Trust me.
-
That looks like an add-on for the map that places a beacon for the other survivors to see. It was good for marking the hatch, a hex totem you can’t get to, or a gen you’re working on and need help with. Not sure if what is in your pic is said beacon. Killer can’t see the map marker btw.

Iron Will was fine. It shouldn’t have been touched. It’s useless now.

Yea I just accept my fate. I roll my eyes every time it’s an infectious fright/Starstruck nurse. Someone is GUARANTEED to DC or suicide on hook. And the nurse will have her best add-ons and not let her foot off the gas for even 1 second. She knows it’s a chill lobby, but she floors it regardless. It’s like these people have to stay on point and ready, just in case they get a 4 man SWF Bully squad in the next match. 🙄

Well, I am not going to excuse the behavior of the guys in the third lobby, but what the hell were you expecting telling everyone you are going to use an RPD map offering? That map is god awful for literally everyone except sweat squads and die hard RE fans.
That map is pretty good, once you know the layout well. Wraith, Pig, and Meyers reign supreme with their wall hacks. Great map for survivors vs. M1 killers. It’s the only indoor map I like.
@BenZ0 sorry you had to deal with lobbies 1 &2. That’s been my experience the entire anniversary event. Lobby 3 made my eyes open wide as I read it. What the hell is wrong with people?? Jeez Louis they’re a fun bunch I bet. You probably dodged a bullet with them anyway. With attitudes like that, I’m sure they ragequit at the slightest challenge.

Honestly as someone who has thousands of hours on the game, it isn't as enjoyable as it used to be. Back when the Rank was what what making the matches. I still play a bunch, I hit iri every month, but its a pain to get there. As OP stated, Almost every other game I'm getting teammates that aren't doing anything, they just sit in corners, or hide in lockers. Ive even found that I'm facing a 3v1 more matches as well, People are getting bored and they are turning to their teammates and being bullies to them. I've gotten trapped in a corner (doing a totem) by a teammate more times than I can count and then I'm left on hook to die on my first hook. At least give us something to go on, This up down up down roller coaster that has been "MMR" is just a load of bs. Just like OP I get the not so well teammates as a survivor, but As a ash 3 killer I get the hardcore bully flashlight swf groups that can run for 20 mins. I know I need to "get good" but its hard to want to learn to play killer when this is your game all the time. There is no middle ground, you either get stomped or you get complete new people that don't know what there are doing and you kill them in 2 mins. Rank needs to be addressed again.

They want the MMR system to work so bad, but its not working at all tbh. Can't tell me as a ash 3 killer I should be going up against when Im guessing is a full iri squad that can run like forrest gump. I know Im a trash killer, But I don't want to "get good" when the system is like this. Theres no point..Its all over the place..A mess.
Thank you, Mrs. Malicious- you get it. It truly is a mess, & all over the place.
I agree with both points.

Rank based was what I started with and it was so much fun, when sbmm came out i quit killer and now rarely play the game anymore cuz of unfun sweaty games.
I feel you, sadly their ego is too strong to admit that wasn't a good idea.
I guess we just don't understand hockey
Same. I started with it as well at it was much better. It wasn’t perfect, and it had its flaws that I complained about as well- but dear Lawd this SBMM ish is 10x worse. WOW.
Lmao at “hockey.” I truly believe “he” is the reason why SBMM stays in place. I think ultimately it’s his call, but it really should be US- the paying consumer and players playing who should have that decision. I get it- they invested a lot of time, research, and man hours into SBMM- but what good is it if the majority of your player base dislike it??
-
Megs with the Pig Mask and/or default clothes for being straight up Idaho potatoes, Michaelas for their obsession with relighting the same gawd dam totem after the killer has snuffed it out for the 9th time, and default Bills for those who farm but removed BT from his basekit. -_-
-
Let’s compromise- the Nurse complaints will stop when the new Dead Hard fear mongering stops. Deal?
-
*Bubba smiles and nods with approval.
-
Let’s just wait until the PTB next week. Some are interpreting it as something scary, others like myself see it as something practically useless, that only skilled players will benefit from. Question is, is it worth a perk slot for those players?
-
@Sludge said:
Let the killers mori themselves, it's not fair that survivors can just nope out whenever they please.

RPD actually favors survivors (unless it’s the big 3 with wall hack add-ons: Pig, Wraith, & Meyers). You should learn the layout and use it to your advantage. A lot of killers don’t know how to navigate it well, still.

Doctor with Dead mans switch and pain res and make your choice.
Its actually his strongest build and if you play Doctor well enough you can literally stop survivors from doing gens the whole game constantly, you will ofc not down everyone like a nurse or blight but you will stop them from playing the game which annoys the hell out of them.
But you do get alot of kills since this build does help you alot to buy enough time to hook and down enough ppl.
Played over 50+ games with this build and my kill rate so far is 3,2.
Dead hard is the only thing that keeps this build from beeing better, since dead hard will get changed this build will be devestating.
That is some scary stuff there.

pinhead, legion and trapper are the top 3 DC magnets from my experience.
none were as bad as stridor spirit tho. it was so bad that lethal+franklins was my secret strat to farm those DCs. the earlier you punish a survivor, your odds dramatically rise. For Pinhead its getting the box immediately/downing the survivor that grabs it first, for Legion its faking a frenzy chain and double backing and for Trapper its basement time.
‘Trapper? Really? I main basement trapper. I don’t get too many DC’s when I snowball down there. Not even that many suicides on hook and I have Monstrous Shrine.

@Advorsus said:
I actually just made a post about this.
Off the record, dead hard, DS, and mettle of man with a Sceptic brown med kit is gonna probably be pretty broken.
Get unhooked to get off the record, body block for MoM stack, if the killer catches up dead hard to gain endurance again and a speed boost. When they catch up again sceptic to eat a hit and gain a speed boost again. Then go down and DS them.
That means it'll take 4 hits in a single chase to get hooked again. 5 if you can fit in two more protection hits during that cause you'll have MoM. It's ridiculous
Why does everyone keep saying this? Endurance doesn’t stack. Once you take that first hit from Off the Record, that’s it. Everything after that (septic/new DH) is useless. You go down. You MUST MEND before getting another endurance status, and you can’t do that in the middle of a chase. Well, at least not most players.
-
Let’s not jump the gun and see it in action first. I don’t know how y’all interpret this as a buff when hit speed has been reduced and the window for activation is so small. The bad players won’t be able to use this. Killers really should be more concerned with Sprint Burst and Overcome replacing the old DH. We’re going to see an influx of those.
-
I told you guys getting rid of SWF’s in public matches is the only way to properly balance the game, and the game will NOT die as a result. Bad take or not, I still stand by it.
-
Trust me- take your medicine. When a match doesn’t go your way for whatever reason, don’t DC- just deal with it. It’ll actually makes you resilient and a better survivor. Some of my best games came from turning things around and not giving up. It’ll actually happen more than you think. Sometimes it looks like you have bad teammates, when all it was is they made bad plays. Then they step their game up. Other times they REALLY are bad, but you end up getting more BP and escape through hatch because you hung in there. Getting face camped by Bubba for the 3rd game in a row? If at least one person is on a gen, stay on the hook. Be a martyr for the cause to help the team. You’ll appreciate it when someone else is on the hook, sacrificing themselves for you to do gens and get out.
Whenever DBD used to make me want to uninstall, I would take a short break from it and watch YouTube or play something else. DC’ng only hurts YOU, not the killer. It does screw over your teammates- especially the really good ones, so that’s not nice. You’re not going to screw over the bad ones, that’s for sure- they’re going to die regardless lol. Don’t let yourself go on hook either, play through it with the mindset that you’ll do whatever objective needs to be done to increase your teams chances of survival. Players do it all the time when they’re having bad games, and I’m sure you’ve benefited from it at one time or another- whether you realized it or not. Hang in there, take deep breathes, and take more breaks when the game becomes unbearable. Good luck- you can do it.

Enough with the passive aggressiveness- no need to be a wise guy to get your point across. You’re giving the trolls too much credit. This thread isn’t research material. @MilManson said:
Bubba doesn't ignore endurance, the chainsaw triggers it and then he needs to hit them again so you still have time to dead hard out of jail free because that will give another endurance and a speed boost and you'll have the distance.
You cant double stack endurance. You have to mend. That’s why Bubba with Chili can eat through a survivors BT if they’re not careful. Plus the speed boost after getting hit has been reduced.
@Krazzik said:
Bubba doesnt care about BT or Off the Record and gens take 10 seconds longer now?
‘Good catch. This is BAD, bro! 😳
-
Yup I agree. They took a good perk and made it useless like its kissing cousin, Premonition.
-
I love Off the Record. This is an interesting buff…doesn’t quite “fit in the perk’s nature” if you ask me, though. I’ll take it, cause I thought it was going to be nerfed.
-
@Tryharder said:
There are 8 gens, corrupt blocks 3
Aren’t there 7 total? When you’re 3 genned, you’ve completed 4.
-
It’s still a viable perk, general gen regress from a kick has increased, gens take longer now, jolt got buffed, Pain Resonance still kept its numbers, and Overcharge got a huge buff. The meta is going to change as planned, you’ll just be using different combinations of perks now. Don’t worry. Just give it time.
-
Oof. I was under the impression that we would still get the first one. Smh. Do we still get the search speed boost?
Wonder if this will work with Appraisal? 🤔
-
The self-care nerf is not good. So the megs and Claudette’s self caring in the corner of the map are going to take even longer being there. Just great. I guess eventually they’ll Urban Evade their way back to the rest of the team, just to hide in a locker. 😑

Not "never" but with those add-ons, it stays up for like 2 minutes with a 100% increased infection rate so it's pretty nasty and rarely falls off if you're paying attention
Ahhhh so that’s what that is. I thought that was base. A lot of Plague’s like using that then.
-
Im a Dark Sense user and I can tell you this is not as strong as it seems. I’m actually not happy about this change. I prefer how it is now. Knowing EXACTLY where the killer is at when a gen pops, is more vital info than when the killer is approaching. I don’t need to see his aura for a few seconds to loop him. Especially since a lot of killers stand still now and listen for your direction. After the aura is gone then what? I like knowing who the killer is if I finish a generator first on the other side of the map (Suffocation Pit/Azarov’s Resting Place). Plus this says nothing about the final aura reading for 10 seconds when the last gen is completed. I’m assuming that’s gone? Do you know how many times that’s saved me while being injured and on death hook? Literally watching the killer break chase with a healthy survivor, making a bee line towards an exit gate, cuz he’s hoping I’m there.
‘Yea, I’m not happy about this one at all. It was fine as is. Just last week I posted in another thread how underrated this perk is. To me this is an unintentional nerf.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
People were complaining that it wasn't skillfull. now it's more skillful and its a problem. What more do you guys want?
Yea, I’m with you on this one. This will take some skill & a lot of luck to time a swing with a 1 second window, on these servers. We’re still getting hit through windows & pallets and we’re supposed to guess that accurately? I guess I need to see it in action first, before passing judgment. But imo, it really sounds like a useless perk as of right about now. And I’m more upset at that, then DH itself getting changed. I’m not a DH user (only have it on two builds & forget to use it 90% of the time), but I think the way it was nerfed was all wrong. I always said nerfing the distance would make it useless. It was the iFrames that needed to go. Y’all remember “exhausted on the floor?” That showed how effective not having iFrames was. You had to have skill to know your tiles and gain distance ahead of time. You couldn’t get a 2 for 1 by baiting a missed swing AND gaining distance. That bug had your ass laying on the floor exhausted, because the killer hit you mid animation. It is what it is, though. Everyone will learn to adapt.

I’d hate to say it but hunting for confirmation bias is not testing a hypothesis.
To the OP personally I wouldn’t go around announcing what I find makes survivors DC more as it just becomes a “here’s how to make survivors dc” topic.
Which doesn’t really do the game any service.
I seriously doubt any one is taking notes with the intent to make survivors DC purposely. If that was their goal, all they have to do is straight up camp and tunnel. No build or killer will grant you quicker DC’s.
I created this thread out of pure curiosity, because as a survivor main- I see a lot of DC’s against Pinheads & Nurses (especially with certain builds). I was wondering if the killers themselves have the same experience. Players who are playing the game normally, trying to be the most efficient killers with skill & tact. Interesting to see the variety of answers here.
-
I don’t find Hillbilly fun to go against. He’s definitely fun to play with, though. He’s a unicorn to me. Probably the killer I see the least, nowadays.
-
What makes vs. her more frustrating is it seems like a lot of nurse players are tryhards. Anyone feels like this? Like ease off the gas a little when you know you’re not going against a toxic bully SWF squad. They play EVERY match like they are (gotta stay in the zone I guess lol). They can see they have 4 solo’s and still bring the nastiest builds. Some of them flex with only on or two perks/no add-ons, and still continue the onslaught with 0 F’s to give. Jim Carrey Liar Liar water face: “AWE C’MON!”
-
Can we add Pinhead with Plaything to that list as well? I want to learn how to get better against them, but I can’t when my teammates keep DCing making the match infinitely harder. Y’all should be embarrassed. At least try to put up a fight. Jerks.
