So that’s why I see nearly every Jason running that build….jeez.

Very well said. I concur. I feel like there is a missed opportunity here to reference that famous Marie Antoinette quote. In the interim, I am just going to refer to this “error” as “Cakegate.”
It amazes me the amount of killers and survivors are in the game, yet BP incentives have been declining over the years. Am I wrong in thinking a substantial portion of the player base has every killer and survivor? Do you know how long it would take us to P100 everyone? Even if it’s HALF the roster, that’s a lot of BP needed. Incentives should not be decreasing- they should be INCREASING. We need more Blood Feasts. Bring back perks that used to award BP. Hell, put it on the least used perks. Territorial Imperative and Red Herring could use an incentive.

Revert the following perks back to their original/intended release (all buffs): pain res, ruin, undying, NOED, Off the Record, DS, WGLF, Lucky Break, Distortion, Sloppy Butcher.
Revert Chucky, Trickster, and Blight back to release (buffs).
Revert having endurance and haste for survivors off hook.
Revert smoke grenades to original release.Buff Territorial Imperative to aura reading once inside shack period, not just basement. If perk is equipped, a map with basement in shack must be selected.
Revert all maps, keys, and add-ons back prior to last rework.
Remove negatives from Calm Spirit, Iron Will, and Medkits.
iIncrease map offerings to 45% chance of success for selection.

Nurse. There is absolutely nothing you can do against a good Nurse. Breaking line of sight only delays the inevitable, and it's not even much of a delay. Same as edge map. Good Nurses have evolved to recognizing those two little glimmers of hope almost immediately, and will adjust by walking you down. Then you get stepped on with a baby blink. And don't even get me started on playing unpredictably and/or erratic. Not even I know my next move but it's still a hit. Double back? Hit. Try to 360? Hit. Fake vault? Hit. Vault? Hit. Teammate tries to body block? Get cut off and get hit from the front or side. Lose line of sight? Still a hit but 5 seconds later than usual. Purposely stand still out of desperation to "throw her off?" Hit. Run in a straight line as to be unpredictable? Hit. Fake the double-back? Hit. Zig zag? Hit. The reason for this is because a good Nurse will position her blinks to cover all of your available options.
There's a reason why she's banned in competition at the highest level of DBD players.

As killer, Windows. As survivor, Lethal. See a pattern here? Get rid of the wall hacks in this game.

Why do people always generalize about all players based on a few bad experiences in their recent matches?
It's pattern recognition. Stereotypes exist for a reason.
It's safe to assume he doesn't literally mean all P100's. It's like you said- he's just basing it off those he's encountered, but unfortunately it's a significant amount.
-
What MMR are you in? Im in mid and I run into them from time to time; more so Sadako.
-
It's situational. You need good game sense. If the killer is on the other side of the map chasing someone, I am healing under the hook.
But I get your frustration. Blame matchmaking. You are more seasoned than the teammates the game gives you, just so it can fill up some slots quickly. Today's players have no patience to wait for quality matches, and that sucks.
-
I like this idea. It'll need something else to give it a lil more oomf in the fun department, but the core concept is interesting.
-
Just off of QoL alone, consoles should have a 120 FPS option.
-
If it’s the beginning, I leave them alone, engage with everyone else and let everyone out. That one person just killed the vibes for all of us as far as I’m concerned.
Now if they were winning and then gave up as soon as the tides changed, then I’m constantly downing them so they stay in the game and then kill everyone.
I’m not letting you out if you’re trying to go next after you start losing. You could still win; try.
-
Diminishing returns is a terrible idea. It completely removes the fun out of builds. There are bigger fish to fry right now.
-
Yea he is not fun to play against. Hell, he's not even fun to play as. Bless those who main him. IDK how they find him enjoyable.
-
I used Fast Track on a meme build before the buff; it didn't need it. It was fine as is. I fear now that the community is complaining about it, it will get nerfed/or changed to something worse than it's original release. Then it becomes a useless perk, and we already have enough of those.
It would have been better to address Red Herring and give it a buff/change. That perk is terrible and only two people in the entire DBD community use it.
-
Based on everything posted above, is it best for Switch players to turn off crossplay to find matches?
-
Agreed.

bloody prestige cosmetics, default cosmetics, ugly cosmetics, key in hand, map in hand, no item in hand, obvious duos (they always throw or double gens at unnecessary times), little check of hours— if you have under 800 hours i’ll probs dodge too, anons get dodged, trevor belmont/gabriel soma gets dodged, red bar next to name gets dodged :3 i hate dbd i guess,
Now this is very interesting- why bloody prestige cosmetics, keys, maps, and no item?
-
The Normal 1v4- especially during a Blood Feast.
-
Aura reading needs to be removed on both sides. It's not healthy for the game. Killers should be given killer instinct as a substitute.
-
Im on NA servers and saw killer receive the bonus only twice during the entire bone chill event. I feel like this discrepancyy has been going on for about a year now. I’d hate to think it’s intentional cause that would be messed up.
-
I’ll go in the opposite direction and say bring back the original Pain Res.
-
Yea, nerfing blood points is mind boggling. Why the hell is there a cap now on how many times you save someone from hook in a match? There are so many good reasons why one particular survivor is doing the saving- and number one being because the other two non-hooked survivors are cowards or gen-focused. It’s 2025 going into 2026- players don’t “farm” unsafe hooks any more, so capping the BP for saves doesn’t make sense. If anything, we should be seeing MORE blood feasts and BP codes as the years progress. Look at the number of survivors and killers there are. I can only imagine how long it would take to prestige everyone to 100.
And like OP said, the BP for special events are terrible now. What the hell? Why? Playing killer barely got us anything for the Halloween and Masquerade events this year.
-
Yea, it’s an out-dated mechanic. Remove it on all 3 events (hook, gen, and exit gates).
-
Agreed. Or at the very least, increase the limit.

We just need a low-priority queue for people who ragequit. The best punishment is having those people play with each other really. You could have the grace be like one free DC per day, anymore than that and you're thrown into low prio for 6 or so hours and scales up from there. To keep queue times managable Killers could have the option to opt into low priority matches for a bloodpoint bonus or something like that.
Yea, i like this. I had this idea too at one point, and forgot about it. Throw them in low-priority making their que times longer. If they keep DC’ing, then send em all to special pools to play with each other. The only way they get out is by consistently playing & completing X amount of games without DC’ng.
I’ll do you one better by having these pools play against top MMR killers so their salty behinds get farmed on. Eventually they’ll weed themselves out and quit the game altogether.

Blight is good where he is at. Let him be, and let him cook.

Current vecna is called the lich. Other vecna would habe another codename.
yea I thought about that, but what about character reference in the descriptions in game and especially outside (PS/XB Storefronts)?

I don't think its realistic to expect 1v4 perks to ever come to 2v8, given they would need to be bug proof and balanced for the mode regardless. But (if we're being VERY positive here), eventually new classes could reflect the most popular perks like Flashbangs or even bloody Dead Hard and offer its own wide selection of playstyles.
As for killers, I don't think ALL of them can make it into the mode (Plague or certain licenses) but most of them seem pretty plausible to. I just wonder why they haven't done so many easy picks already like Unknown or Clown. My guess for the Unknown is that he would make it very easy to team up with the other killer and just double tap everyone with his clones to cut off looping survivors. They wouldn’t even get 1 loop off once he shows up.
Clown could be performance- imagine a cluster of survivors all constantly getting hit with his Pepto Bismal bottles. That could drop some serious frames. Both speculative theories ofc.
-
So the gang in Stranger Things borrowed another name from Dungeons and Dragons(I stopped at season 3)? How would having two Vecnas work in DBD without confusion?
-
I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve experienced this a couple of times myself and seen others comment on posts with the same experience. For some reason this iteration of 2v8 has that problem. Last time this happened to me, I saw a cluster of survivors (4) all go for the same one save across the map from where I was hooked to get someone else. It made me think that was a friend group.

If there could be a 1v4 version (most if not all killers available, no classes, all perks/items available, etc.) of 2v8 - then I would like it permanent. But 2v8 in its current iteration (arcadey) should be seasonal.

Just to check- when you say "Rank", are you referring to the emblem/grade system?
Apologies; I meant increasing your MMR.
-
I argue that NOED needs to be reverted back from that last nerf. It’s an end game perk. I don’t know which “checked box” needs to see this, but end game perks should NEVER be nerfed. They are high risk, high reward perks. They are niche, and that’s what makes them so much fun. Matches don’t always make it to the end game. But when they do, it’s your time to shine. You played the entire match essentially one perk short, so you deserve to reap the benefit as originally intended. The OG end game perks were actually designed well. This goes for Wake up as well.
Let’s put it in simpler terms: How long does your average DBD match last before the last gen is done? How long does the average endgame last for? Enough said.
Play. Your. Game. Cause. It. Shows.

That to me is why the DC penalty just doesn't make sense. There is zero effort into quality control of matches, so why punish people for wanting out of matches that aren't fun for them? Either the game is serious and needs a competitive MMR/real balancing or it's not and it's just intended for casual quick matches. The current Frankensteining of casual gameplay with ultra competitive consequences makes for atrocious game design.
Last match? Clutched out a 3out in SoloQ against a Wesker. This match? Watching people get picked off gens by Pig. No quality control.
Players were abusing DC’ng to the point where matches weren’t fun for those who got left behind in the match. The bots are better than nothing, but they’re dumb as bricks. People started DC’ng for one thing, then it’s another, than another, and so on and so forth. Not having fun? DC. Don’t like the killer? DC. Don’t like the map? DC. Teammates taking too long to take you off hook? DC. Found first by the killer because of Lethal Pursuer? DC. Get hooked and tagged with Hex: Plaything? DC. It was out of control. And people still DC to this day, anyway. At least now it forces most of them to go play another game instead of DC’ing in the follow up match, ruining the experience of four more players. Or even worse- being contagious and causing others to quit out of frustration cause they dont want to be handicapped by a bot.
-
Glad you asked: remove the “hockey” element from DBD. Reward the killer for hooks by increasing their BP and Rank. Add more perks like Make Your Choice and Friends Til the End.
-
He is the Feng Min of killers with the best cosmetics. I don't really enjoy playing with him outside of downing someone with main event. His chase music is "meh."
-
Don't stress it. It's 2025- most of us know 99ng an exit gate is not the move anymore. For the few that don't, just educate them and tell them to google it or come to the forums. Hell, now you can even link them to your/this thread.
FOR ANYONE READING THIS AFTER YOU GOT MAD AT @random1543 for not 99ng the exit gates, just know 2020 called: they want you and that old ass strategy back.
-
DBD Matchmaking priority: Faster que times > fairer/quality matches. And then there's my favorite: "hockey" > skill.
-
in addition to what has already been posted here, I'm even getting the same exact maps back to back without any one sacrificing map offerings.
Whoever is adjusting map priority needs to understand it is very noticeable when it's done. We are not naive or brain dead. We don't appreciated the underhandedness of playing with map numbers, especially now that map offerings have been severely nerfed. Whoever needs to hear this: SET ALL MAP PERCENTAGES EQUALLY. DO NOT INCLUDE REALMS INTO THE SCRIPT.
-
SBMM & "Hockey" is why I play less. This should be priority number one to fix.

Agreed.

Totally can't see that being abused. 🙄
Let's hope this isn't the case.
I had the same thought, but what if it's like getting reported for cheating? One or two people reporting you for cheating will not cause any flags, but getting mass reported in different matches by different players will. What if you are someone who constantly engages in unsportsmanlike behavior and the community reports you for your antics? I never got feedback on anyone I reported for trolling/griefing, so maybe degradation is a form of punishment. When I report blatant cheaters who I see teleporting all around the map with the perk Bond, I always get a message within 24-48 hours letting me know punishment was dished out. That tells me other players reported that person for cheating, as well.
