Yea solo que is getting worse by the minute. I noticed the same thing. I know I’m not in high MMR, but my number shouldn’t be so low that I’m seeing urban evading in the corner in 2025. #########. I can’t carry a team like that. Get someone from High MMR to take that last spot on the 3 man noob squad.

We need to stop listening to DBD content creators that make echo chambers.

Survivors say this but clearly enough of them keep queuing up no matter how miserable it is. Most of these people are addicted and this is the only game they play so I don’t see anything changing anytime soon.

Well said. The people who downvoted you are the addicts you speak of, in denial.

so just give everyone map offerings basekit?
you do realize the first thing the majority of the totally not sweaty players will do is vote for the best map every game?
every game will be split between haddonfield and whatever 4 survivor sided maps people think there are right now.
if we go down this route, it's better to introduce a ban system. killer picks 2-3 maps, each survivor picks one map, they will not be picked for the trial. way less abuse potential because people will ban cringe maps instead of picking them.
This. Another added benefit to this is maps with high ban rates will signal to the devs that they need to be worked on/fixed, improved, and/or balanced.

I’ve been complaining about this for years now. Now that map offerings were nerfed, this problem is worse.
-
Just go over there and slug their annoying ass. Stand over them and don’t let anyone pick them up. Let the other 3 escape.
Sometimes we have to police ourselves and correct bad behavior in the community. -
It’s terrible. The wide fishnet of SBMM makes it worse.

I'm on console as well, and trust me- we do not need the chat box. If it ever comes to console, I'm disabling it day one. This game and our community are already toxic as is- I'm not in the mood to be insulted by entitled crying survivors, or butthurt killers in chat. Or worse- cocky survivors/killers rubbing your loss in.
There is enough pointing, tea bagging, head nodding, and hits on hook to cover that area of "socializing."
-
When it comes to cosmetics, Trickster is the Feng Min of killers. We definitely need this one. It's too good to omit; add it anyway.
-
I'm for gen slow down perks with the exception of the ones that block gens (Thrilling Tremors, Grim Embrace, & Deadlock). Most times you only need one person to go for the save, so what are the other three survivors supposed to do when gens are blocked (looking at Grim mostly)?
OG Slow down perks should be buffed back to their launch status (OG Pain Res, OG Ruin, OG Pop Goes the Weasel, etc.).
-
This needs a middle tier. Also- Taurie, Zarina, and Orela are unpopular.

I agree. It’s not a good fit in 2v8.

Clown has a small pinga

Pair it up with Prove Thyself and never use it solo. At least the one on the Gen will get PT value while you play. It’s a bad perk and it needs to get slapped across the face with a buff.

Just to spite you, I’m closing the hatch and giving them the exit gate.

Yes.

Straight-up telling us we didn't deserve to know about the killswitch is disgusting. They don't respect their playerbase at all.
Agreed. As someone who has spent over $1500 in this game on DLC and cosmetics, I do not want to hear that bullshit.

I never played the Mass Effect franchise, but I thought there are a lot of jump scares and intimidating enemies in there? It maybe not horror but it checks some of the most horror-like boxes. I imagine it occupies the same space as the Alien franchise, so it would be a good fit.

Odd, this is the second post I've seen on killers DCing and the other was yesterday. Before that nothing. What changed, why now? Is it real or just a campaign to get killer bots?
It's just very odd this topic is just popping up now.
Players may be frustrated due to the bugs associated with this chapter. There are more bugs that handicap you as killer than there are as survivor.

My biggest fear for nerfing map offerings; map values not set perfectly even amongst all maps. At least pre-nerfed map offerings broke up the monotony.

Nope. I did get two red rings of death on back to back 360's, back in the day though.

His whole power is wildly overstimulating. Like pre-rework Doctor, when he had all that stuff that'd pop up on your screen.
Damn I forgot about the max madness static images; those were good times. Very creative and anxiety inducing.

I got the notification yesterday but for a valid reason. the queues for killer were so long that i forgot i ready’d up for a match, went to eat a bowl of cereal, and came back to the last survivor teabagging at the exit gates lol. The message i got was only a warning but if this is happening to people that aren’t even AFK, then that’s a problem.
Ahhhh the good ole days of eating cereal and playing video games. Enjoy while you can. Life gets harder when you get older, and the bowls of cereal become far and few in between.

What the heck is going on? I have not played since Sunday; is there a DBD Series X technical issue preventing logging on?

Cant really run out of them. Had them long before this even though just something I stockpiled for awhile and went "am I going to use these at any point?"Jeez, let's get you to the Methadone clinic in Lery's.
And don't worry- I will get you Nurse Garland and NOT Nurse Smithson.

Some sort of forum bug, won't let me edit. That last part is supposed to say it was mostly designed to simply stop BUBBA facecampers.
I also really like it because if I'm playing killer, I can help survivors who are being trolled by their teammates by leaving them to die on the hook by standing right up against the hook so they can unhook themselves.
Unfortunately it doesn’t stop face camping basement bubba with his full recharge after a hit add on and max charge add on.
That guy wants you to self unhook.

I do not like speed buffs on killers as a means to “buff” them. It feels cheap to go against, and it’s the reason why I despise Wraith so much. I would prefer for both Wraith & Pig’s stealth to have been buffed, and speed increase omitted. I like Pig terror radius going away quicker. Her knife being unsheathed should get a buff like Demo’s hiss before he attacks; when you hear it and don’t see it- you know you’re definitely getting hit. As for Wraith- remove his heavy foot steps when cloaked, decrease the amount of distance before you see him cloaked, remove his snarl when cloaked, and give him that bell add-on where you can’t tell where he is at on the map, as default. Now that would make Wraith scary as hell.
As for Clown, I feel like he’s in a good spot now. Maybe keep him as is and remove the option for survivors to get use out of his yellow piss bottles? I don’t play Clown, but sometimes I get the impression certain clown players are scared to use them more often out of fear the survivor will get more value than the clown himself.

I saw a take like this from a popular streamer recently, and I have to disagree. My experience has taught me a match can go either way, no matter how it starts. I’ve had games where my team of solos and I blew through gens within the first two chases, only to choke and get 4ked with 1 gen left.
My favorite match of all time had to be me and one other player left with 3 gens against a solid Blight, and we both managed to get out alive. The other guy ran the Blight for all 3 gens while I completed them and opened the exit gate. It’s experiences like these I’ve gained from not “going next.”
My only early indicator that the killer is going to win, is when a cracked Blight 1 hooks every survivor after 30 second chases each. That and Nurse. She doesn’t even have to be cracked. She just needs to be in the match. Bad/new Nurses don’t exist after a certain MMR.
As for killer, I’ve thrown my fair share of games I thought I had in the bag because of how well I started. Sometimes you get smart survivors who lock in and know how to adjust. Especially if you’re running a Meme build. -
I understand what you’re saying, but BMing should not be how we communicate our displeasure to the devs. That’s what these forums are for. Besides, the “GoNext” epidemic was out of control; any little inconvenience and players were letting go on hook. Found first? Let go. Don’t like the map? Let go. Teammates didn’t get enough gen progress? Let go. Killer brought Plaything? Let go. It’s Tuesday? Let go.
With so many childish reasons now to “go next,” it can no longer be the single indicator that the player base despises versing a certain killer.
-
I’m more concerned at how he looks when aiming. On a survivors screen he could be facing forward at 12 o’clock, but still hit you while you’re at 3 o’clock. His body nor his head turns. It’s very misleading.
-
I am most looking forward to the bump up to 7 customization presets AND labeling. I am a cosmetics junkie, so this is appreciated.

the bug is driving me nuts! the doors are RIGHT at gens and he gets a free hit every time, especially if the door is facing the gen. the door doesn't even open for me, he literally just appears. he's invisible for a second or two, and grabs me off gen/gets one hit if i realize the door 'opened' it's very frustrating.
The door not opening is bad-I haven’t seen that luckily. I didn’t even know ST being invisible was a bug until yesterday. I thought that was intended. When you’re on a gen, look at the door display- if it starts flickering, run. That means ST is going to pop out in like 2 1/2 seconds.
The invisible bug doesn’t bother me- it’s the sound bug for interacting with the doors/looking at cameras that’s really bad. If you get into a chase with a really good Spring Trap, his mind games will work 100% of the time because the spatial sound is off. Also, if he’s approaching you without you having visibility, you won’t know what direction he’s coming from because his loud footsteps will be misleading in the direction they are coming from.
-
My issue with tunneling is when players do it, clearly when they don’t need to. You can tell when you’re going to have a chill match- especially when that first survivor goes down fast and shows signs of inexperience with an OG survivor in old clothes. Then they continue to do the same thing and tunnel the second inexperienced or bad player out. Thats unnecessary. You know you can win even with letting your foot off the gas, but yet you proceed to tunnel the first two out. That shows you just want to make your opponent feel miserable.

I like it. I don't want to have extra filler. Só just play and get them done is perfect.
Quests should BE somewhat unique during events ONLY.
Agreed. I prefer this as well. It was frustrating going for one hard or very situational challenge, only to complete a different hard or situational challenge, and not get credit for it because you didn’t select it in the Tome.

The 3rd guy (other 2 are dead or slugged as well) has to wait 4 minutes or until the 4th guy is caught. Why can't the slug just abandon match. The killer can still look for the 4th guy while person 3 can move on.
Ahhhh ok, thanks for explaining. Yea, I agree- add it to the list of scenarios.

I honestly don't understand why they don't remove this along with the dc penalty. Bots replace the player on a dc so why bother with it at this point?
Because the bots are terrible. They are better than nothing, but they do dumb ######### like struggle on hook when it’s just you and them left with 3-5 gens. They will watch you do a gen injured until completion, as they tea bag you to signal they want to heal you. Same if they are injured and see you doing a gen- they will remain crouched for heals and watch you do a gen. They suck against anti-loop killers.
We play this game to have live interactions with real humans- it’s not fair to teammates to have the match cranked up to very hard mode or dropped to easy mode for killers, because of the bots.
-
I’m confused; I thought this is already a scenario. Please elaborate.

My suggestion isn't that survivors do something else, it is that the game is designed in such a way that you won't lose 3 gens in the first chase and/or there is some kind of comeback mechanic in place for killers.
An example idea i had for example, is to make the time it takes to complete a gen scale with the number of gens done. So, for example, right now, each gen takes 90 seconds. So as you do gens:
- 1st gen: 90 seconds
- 2nd gen: 90 seconds
- 3rd gen: 90 seconds
- 4th gen: 90 seconds
- 5th gen: 90 seconds
- Total: 450 seconds.
Now for example what if it scaled in such a way that you had like:
- 1st gen 130 seconds
- 2nd gen 110 seconds
- 3rd gen 90 seconds
- 4th gen 70 seconds
- 5th gen 50 seconds
- Total: 450 seconds
Same amount of total time, but means that the game starts off a bit slower. Also it helps out with 3-genning, because that last gen can go super quick so 3-genning becomes weaker.
I hear you, but what can survivors do NOW, with the CURRENT in game mechanics? Because let’s be honest here, those complaining about so called “gen rushing” make it sound like it’s the players’ fault who are playing survivor. Like survivors choose to play like jerks for being efficient with gens. Tunneling is a choice- effective or not, players using killers have an option to play like that. Survivors can either “rush” gens or annoy the killer with flashlight/flash bang saves, body blocking, and saboing hooks- which make the killer’s objective more frustrating and harder. So anyone pushing this “gen rushing” nonsense need to pick their poison.
Another aspect people are not taking into consideration is that the longer a match goes on, the survivors chances of escaping decreases. The biggest cause of this is because resources (pallets & items) get depleted. What also doesn’t help is that maps are getting smaller, pallet numbers are decreasing, tiles are getting crappier, and filler pallets are getting worse. Good survivors understand this so they know it’s not in the team’s best interest to ######### around. Do gens and get the hell out.
My issue is this projection that survivor players are being ######### for “Gen rushing.” They literally have nothing else to do other than not participating in the match or annoying the killer by preventing hook states.
What’s going to happen if the PTB crows make it to live? Yall think “gen rushing” is a problem now, wait till these strict crows push immersive players to hop on gens now.
“Gen rushing” is not a player problem, it’s a game mechanic problem. My solution is to give every killer secondary objectives that require survivors to interact with or face a tough match for failing to do so. Examples of killers who have secondary objectives are: Alien, Sadako, Pig, Pin Head, Freddy, Merchant, & Singularity. Hell, even the killers with minor secondary objectives (Nemesis, Doctor, Legion, Wesker, Trapper, Vecna, Dredge, Unknown, etc.) at least slow the game down a little and give survivors something else to do.
-
Wouldn’t this make so called “gen rushing” worse?
-
Agreed. This was a terrible idea. Revert it back or give us the option to toggle. It’s very annoying for Year 1, 2, and 3 players.
