For someone who isn't a fan of the anime/manga, I actually enjoy the killer. The only thing that I have issues with is the slow time to recover from kagune leap. I feel that it's a bit slow and makes it hard to catch up with a survivor. But other than that, I think this killer is solid overall. Maybe make the recover time slightly faster?

Try to cancel the first dash as soon as you touch the wall or while sliding, you'll almost come out with normal running speed and with almost no time you have to wait for the hit. I recommend the brown addon that lets you slide further and the brown leaping speed, absolutely brutal xD

  • @Yeekko said:

I mean probably not the best when it comes to overall value, but when it comes to movement and tech they're going to be king on maps that allows you to leap far and easy

Well if you cancel instantly after hitting the wall you can almost instantly move normally, if you combine that with the sliding you can almost instantly hit the survivor because you are able to cancel while the slide. It's absolutely insane xD

Alright so I just got out of a bad match as survivor but I know I probably would’ve been able to win if the other survivor that was alive, wasn’t a bot. As I was bleeding out on the ground, (in shack where hatch spawns since offering was used) the bot was hooked for the FIRST time across map and instead of dying the bot obviously stayed there unmoving until death, giving clown way more time than necessary to get to me and then essentially spam my dying body with more bottles even though I was already dead. My question is this, why is it when there is one survivor on the floor, one bot on the hook, and yet they don’t ever attempt to unhook themselves? Has anyone seen a bot unhook themselves before lol

They work like normal survivors (with impossible blinds and movement capabilities lol), so in general they should be able to unhook themself in theorie. I think they are simply programmed not to unhook themself, because the bot escaping is not really the point of them, and bhvr probably didn't think about situations like this xD

I know with them announcing the "go next solution" people are worried about false positives and that BHVR will use it to just keep unfun mechanics in the game since you can't just leave, And it is a game at the end of the day. But there's also the opposite end of the spectrum of people who just don't seem like they fit in this game anymore or just don't enjoy it at all. Its first chase and i am on demo with a meg. I get a good shred on her and mind game her at a window (nothing really unusual). She then proceeds to just try to go next and when saved just runs after me to make sure i get her out of the game. Wasn't gonna slug her just hoped she'd eventually get bored of it and actually play. Which she eventually did and they actually got all the gens done (with a bit of hand holding on my part but it is what it is). Like i play a lot of survivor too i get there's a lot of unfun things they have to deal with on a daily basis especially in solo que, And going next is definitely one of them as me playing survivor when they do it on the first hook. I just personally never resort to forcing myself out of the game as fast as possible even if its a unfun one. If we want to improve the game what could happen here that would keep them in?

I mean this situation is completely senseless, if you're so mad you lost in that situation then get better, leaving the game is the worst thing you can do in that situation. It's not the killers or bhvr's obligation to make the game fun for people that obviously don't wanna try, if they don't have fun playing the game and at the same time ruin it for at least 3 other people then they simply shouldn't play it.

To the question what could have been improved:

Absolutely nothing from your or bhvr's side. The only thing that could be improved are the looping abilities and mindset of this meg, but that's something no one can change but this meg.

  • @theonryo123 said:

They should tone it down to 2 times instead of 3. Especially for loops are too strong such as killer shack and jungle jimes. I’m a M1 killer using sadako and it’s ridiculously annoying to have to chase survivors who know what they are doing when it comes to vaulting windows.

We really shouldn't change the general concepts on looping, it would force us to balance the rest accordly. I doubt ether bhvr or the players would want to see a huge change on character strength, map design and perks design - it would maybe work out after a while, but the time between it would be horrible. It doesn't even change a lot in the end, because obviously sadako would probably be nerfed a bit then - in the end you nerfed windows by 33% potentially and some maps only have this xD

  • @theonryo123 said:

Is the game killer or survivor sided when it comes to map offerings?

Survivors by far, there's almost always a map offering. If you want to know the most thrown maps from my experience: Eyrie of crows, the game, badham, garden of joy AND mac millan for some reason xD

  • @theonryo123 said:

I feel like when people mention killer. They should refer to which killer you face instead of making it like all the killers are the same and that’s not the case. Some weak M1 killers have it harder than most strong killers. For example Ghostface Pig Onryo they should go to small maps because it’s more balance for them. As for Nurse Blight and Billy who are extremely fast they should be sent to Big maps because it’s balanced.

That would be awful. I don't want to play on mothers dwelling half of the time only because I play blight or billy, especially because those bushes have one of the worst hitboxes known to mankind. I'm already not a huge fan of overly big maps, but that would force me to play on them even more - that's nearly worse than mapofferings that are already annoying.

I'd rather have them release maps that are close to the same size with close to the same strength. That way they could buff weaker and nerf the strongest killers and we'd have it balanced for the most part. It wouldn't be a situation where we have eyrie of crows as one of the most awful maps for killer and then haddonfield or something for survivor, but rather always a near balanced one.

From 17:38 to 17:58 this guy says something that I've never realized before to be an actual thing: Killer anxiety.
There's so much BS killers have to endure from the survs every match…
For myself I can say that I do get this EVERYTIME, but 90% of these times I still go through and play killer. The other 10% I can't go through mostly because I had a crappy day at work and I know playing killer will make this much worse.

Well I can't say that I have that. I'm using what I can most of the time, and if I'm insulted for that I find it funny a lot of the time. There's simply no reason for me to be scared, because I can crossmap the dwight tbagging me behind a car 80 meters away, and in the end he's the one that made himself look like an absolute joke xD

Waw, 21s of chase, less if you're injured… 5minutes looking for a game to end in 21s feels so amazing xD

Especially as survivor it doesn't take 5 minutes to find a game (at least if you didn't start to play the game yesterday), also 21 seconds at least means you can extend it. As long as you're behind walls but not too close to them, you look at your back where shots come from aswell as at the unknown himself AND you react to the shots, you're getting easily more.

    Just remember:

If unknown shoots at the wall behind you from the right, the shot will bounce to the left - so you have to dodge to the right and keep running left if you doesn't want to be hit by him normally. Also you can fake going right as example and let the unknown shoot, and then dodge as soon as he shoots.

Of course it won't work always especially against really good players, but you'll get better and learn how to play against him yourself. Playing him yourself would help you learn his limits in chase.

He let everyone else finish gens and escape, he stood there and watched them do the gens, I'm not speaking of normal tunneling and camping.

Ah I see, yes that's not normal. But you'd have to proof his reasoning for that somehow, I doubt ether you or bhvr wants to have that work themself.

  • @EternalRique said:

I'm tired of getting matches were killers pick and choose who they want to kill and prevent them from saving.

Just gotten out of a match where a legion only hooked me but let everyone else live and prevented them from saving me. I did report but what else can be done to prevent future instances like this?

For more context, I would be the only one chased/hooked and if someone tries to unhook me they won't let them and then let everyone else go free.

Sounds like normal tunneling and camping? As long as he didn't do that because of the person you are, but only because he chose you randomly that's a perfectly legimate thing to do. Dbd itself doesn't have rules against tunneling and camping.

In that case it didn't seem to work out, but in general that's a senseful thing to do from his point of view. There no reason to spread hooks if you're able to kill someone quick enough, otherwise this happens and you lose even more xD

I remember getting permanant sprint burst speed as survivor once. Theres also all the times ppl have been able to just walk through walls.

Yeah with the bug from houndmaster where the speed was also permanent there seems to be a theme there. In theorie it's not hard to fix, but they just don't do it:

As example on spirit you can phase for 10 seconds maximum (I think? Doesn't matter for now), so you simply send a information to the server that you started to phase as soon as the bar is full. As soon as the server gets the information it starts a timer of 10 seconds after which you're guaranteed to get forced out of phase (and therefore the speedboost of course), if you're leaving manually, you send a new information that the timer has to end now and it does the same like the forced one to be sure you don't bug out.

This system is not there to replace the current one, but as a additional one that forces your power to work like it should. If you'd block receiving new informations for the server while it has the the timer active and for the cooldown it calculated itself, you'd even have a security against cheats.

At least that's how I'd do this. Of course I don't know how much that would increase the server-load overall, but in general this should work and wouldn't be too hard to program.

Seems to be working properly now, not sure what was going on

Mhh seems to be a very rare bug then, I'd be surprised when it got fixed without a patch somehow xD

Well dbd is also the game where you sometimes look like you're cheating, because spirit didn't loose her speed after phasing. I also only had this bug 1 time in my life and didn't use it because I was scared to get reported and punished for this xD

  • @jasonq500 said:

With legion getting a buff, what's the new percentage in his speed each time you hit a survivor while in frenzy (mural sketches included)

    130, 136, 142, 148, and 154% basekit.

130, 137.5, 145, 152.5 and 160% (that one doesn't change, because sketches doesn't increases the speed bonus BY a certain amount but TO one. So as long as they don't buff or nerf this addon it stays exactly the same.)

That makes more sense, thanks. I thought OP was trying to say that if anticamp bar filles up, you automatically unhook even if you don't want to, but I've never seen that be a thing

Nope, but that would be funny. It's basically a forced tunnel xD

  • @Linkdouken said:

    There was an auto-unhook?

I assume op means the fact that people still getting unhooked after being downed while umhooking. I think you have time to around half the bar to down the survivor, after that the unhook will happen even if you down the unhooker.

Hello, I’m a regular player of Dead by Daylight. I’ve been playing since 2019 and thoroughly enjoy the game. I understand that there are currently underway quality-of-life changes, and I’d like to share some ideas for improving the game as a survivor. (I’m a survivor main, but I do enjoy killers from time to time.) Most of my suggestions are focused on the endgame.

First, I’d like to propose adding the anti-camp mechanic to the endgame collapse (after the last generator pops). This is when most of the time, camping, slugging, and tunnelling (toxic behaviour occurs), so it would be more fair to implement it then. At least survivors have a better chance of escaping because without it at the end, it becomes increasingly difficult for survivors to survive. Most of the team has to be present, take a hit, and then another grabs you off the hook while the killer is surrounding the hook.

The second suggestion might be a bit of a stretch, but I think it’s worth considering. It’s incredibly frustrating for survivors to be left alone with the killer at the end of the game. For instance, if three teammates die, you’re left with just one survivor and the killer. He closes the hatch, and you can’t reach the exit gate. Or, he finds you at the exit gate and kills you. It’s hard to know what to do in that situation. There’s no counterplay unless you have a key that’s not green or a perk that allows you to open gates faster or has left behind in your build. It would be ideal if there was a perk or mechanic that allows you to stun the killer or ‘fight off the killer,’ which reverses the mori animation, similar to the Decisive Strike perk. This way, the only way the killer can get a 4K is by hooking you, and at least that gives the survivor more time to escape and try to survive.

On the topic of decisive strike survivors should be able to execute it during the endgame as well. If you get hooked the second time and the last generator pops (endgame), it’s easy for the killer to tunnel you out of the game. However, if decisive strike remained active during the endgame, it would improve the survivor’s chances of escaping if the killer still tunnels after the decisive strike and leads you towards the end. That way, you’d at least have a better chance of escaping.

Personally, I don’t believe the endurance and speed boost are enough to escape the killer. Most of them are close to the hook and tend to pursue the hooked survivor immediately, especially towards the end, to secure the kill. So, it could be a good idea to extend the duration by a few more seconds if the killer is tunnelling right after being unhooked. If the decisive strike concept is invalid, this could be a solution.

My final suggestion would be to implement endgame chat for console players. They miss out on interacting with other players after the match or at least have the option to enable or disable it. Many players enjoy chatting about the game or saying “good game.” I understand it can be used negatively, but there are also times when it’s useful. There are players who use a keyboard and mouse while gaming, so they could potentially engage in conversation if given the chance.

In conclusion, I want to express my gratitude for taking the time to read through my ideas. They may be lengthy, but I genuinely hope they reach higher-ups (Devs/Matthew Cote) and are considered. I love this game and am deeply passionate about it. I would hope to at least try to convey some of my ideas. I firmly believe they would boost the morale of survivors, improve fairness and balance in gameplay and counterplay, and enhance their overall Dead by Daylight experience. This would encourage them to continue playing more frequently and recommend it to others who haven’t played it yet. The majority of players, including myself, feel that the game is currently dominated by the killers due to a lack of counterplay to certain aspects and an imbalance in favour of the killers. My ideas could also benefit new players, as they would have more opportunities to attempt to escape a match and learn the game.

Once again, thank you so much for your time. I eagerly await your response!

    Cam

    To the first thing:

sure if I get hookgrabs back at any point of the game lol. It can't be easier to get a unhook than it is right now, everything else would simply be a really bad joke as killer - it's already awful how easy unhooks are.

To the endgame with the killer:

you already lost the game as a team AND individual - there's no reason to give you more chances especially because the gates are sometimes so far away that you can't do anything anyways.

    To ds:

Nope, was awful before. As soon as you got unhooked even in the middle of the map (sometimes even further) you could simply hold w to the exit and ds makes it impossible to get you ever - with new bt it would be even easier.

The duration buff will yet again only punish people that don't tunnel and find you randomly OR for bodyblocking the killer - so if it has to be: ok, otherwise that's also awful.

    To the endgame-chat:

Sure add it, no reason to hold them out of discussions.

The chest still keep you waiting at the chest even though the time has expired.

When you unhook someone, they won't let you heal immediately.(Wait for 1-3 seconds)

    Bonus:

Sometimes they doesn't care about the endurance.

I'm pretty sure this was a medkit, I assume that you activated it just as he hit you or really shortly before:

He probably hit you already on his screen but the game isn't syncronized perfectly so you get this outcome. In theory the game should simply give the medkit back and remove the endurance. Then it would look less weird and more reasonable - of course syncronizing the game better would be the optimal path xD

  • @Thesevenspirits said:

Hooks appear every I'm what is the point of the petrified oak add-on, you can as well just disable wiggle Sabotour and the Oak Add-ons they are now killer supporting perks.

Everywhere you go there is a hook. You run the killer only to get downed under a hook, what's the point of the wiggle?

Honestly players when was the last time you saw a killer loose a survivor because the survivor wiggled of the shoulder before getting to the hook? Because I can tell you you need 3 perks at play to achieve that and it is still not guaranteed to escape. What a waste.

If there are deadlines with no pallets, then there should be dead zones with no hooks.

The killer should not e guaranteed a hook just a well as a survivor should not be guaranteed an escape let it be base on skill and intelligence, jeez.

    First thing:

"Let it base on intelligence and skill", lol running into a corner is the most intelligent and skillful play i've ever seen. There's a reason I bleed people out that make themself unhookable, it's just increadible annoying and doesn't have anything to do with playing better, it's simply a design-flaw (on some maps) or build that's realistically horrible but annoying.

    Second thing:

wiggle-outs happen from time to time if you're at a bad place of the map, you are heavely mistaking if you think at every place on any map is a hook. The offering that increases the distance deletes hooks or distributs them terrible sometimes btw, so it can be pretty bad for the killer. While we're at it: wiggling is not meant for you to escape in general. It's meant for the killer that he can't drag you in the middle of the map too far or even in the basement, also it's exactly for team-plays or perks.

    Third thing:

Palettes and hooks are not comparable - palettes are ressources, hooks are objects to progress the match. So palettes are more comparable to lockers for huntress as example, while hooks are more comparable to gens.

  • @Nightram said:

For the survivors, merge all items, addons, offerings together. Having 10k limit for each character is insane. Why not merge them together.

Maybe get a bigger limit when merged together.

But then the servers could save things better.

We don't play as all survivors as much. We tend to stick with some favorites/mains. And the items on other survivors we prestege to get teachable perks. Those items, addons, offerings will just go to waste.

why not merge survivor items, add'ons, offerings together.

    For killers, merge offerings together.

This way it would be easier to use the items we want, and not be scared to go empty on items and addons and offerings we want to play.

(We could do an interesting idea. Merge all killer addons by color. If you have 40 red addons on trapper. You also has 40 red addons on each killer.

Wich means if you go into a match you spend your addons by that color on every killer.

This way it's kinda hard to save killer power addons. But it lessens the server if and when someone has close to 10k stuff on characters)

But not nessesary to do this idea on killers.

I don't say anything against mergin survivors-items and addons but why do you want a bigger limit?

10k of each item (at least that's what the patchnotes above say) is already laughable huge, you have to play 10k rounds to actually run out of it then and that's not even taking in consideration that you can buy more with the bloodpoints earned. Now they even increased it to 4 million, it's absolutely impossible to use that ever - you'd need to play the game for 76 YEARS for it to run out and that's only with 10 minutes length per match and without time to wait or even stock up to that limit (btw that counts for one single maxed out item, not all) xD

It would be a better fate then letting him continue down this horrendous disgrace of a position you put him in.

The double cooldown-nerf with the insane speednerf as well was really too much. It's awful how much time you have to react to him now, and that on top of ages of cooldown if you don't get the hit for which the chances aren't too low in that situation.

Also he can't use it for mobility really well anymore, so you're basically spirit with less range and mostly higher cooldown xD

It almost feels like getting into a locker is a death sentence in most scenarios.. You make a loud noise if you get in them too quickly, you can be heard outside of them if you are injured… Why even have them? Maybe lockers should be reworked to be more immersive and at the same time buff them so you can't be heard if injured or something else to make them stronger. What if when a Survivor got into a locker, they actually go into 1st person mode? See pic below.

    1. New locker perspective that would be in 1st person, but lockers would get buffed to compensate such immersion and less vision.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/X2VCA9RQXABV/locker-dbd-jpg.jpg

In doing so we could buff lockers to make grunts of pain completely silent when inside of them or something. I just think the way lockers are currently in DBD is extremely lackluster and the only reason you should ever get in a locker is if you're using the perk "Head On"..

Speaking of Head On, it can be altered as well IF lockers changed to a 1st person perspective to make them more immersive yet stronger assuming balance changes came at the same time. Head On would be the only perk that allows a Survivor to use the current perspective where the camera is somehow outside of the locker. That way you can still use the old way through a perk.

    2. Classic perspective attached to "Head On" perk for ease of use.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZT3YGTYSP3RZ/locker-old-dbd-jpg.jpg

    Let me know your thoughts.

    You will be impressed now:

You can even be heard inside a locker if you're not injured. I can differentiat my breathing from yours and even say in which locker you are if there are two next to each other. I have to admit it's really brutal and it has to be super quite, but it's possible xD

LListen To me here the entity an all powerful spider God that feeds off Raw emotions, yet it needs survivors to repair 5 generators during its trials while dodging and avoiding 1 killer.

So why do we need 5 generators In this game? 🤔

Why can't we have something maybe a little different maybe try and find totems and conduct a ritual to escape?

There was a game basically doing this: home sweet home (hsh). Didn't play it very much but felt horrible for me.

Also the entity feasts not only from bad but also good emotions. The entity doesn't care to be worthshiped too much, he just wants to give the survivors hope so that they try to get out desperately, it's the way he believes gives him the most of emotions to feast on. I think a ritual would leave less emotions at the end for him, because the generators are more known and therefore the survivors probably try harder - in the end repairing generators seems more doable than doing some weird ritual xD

So far on my lore-take why it's that way:

Gameplaywise it would ether be too far away from the gameplay we have now OR it would be exactly the same with a different look. If we made it like in hsh then we'd have to search for ritual-objects - so ether you could do the same but with generator pieces/tools OR you cut the items from the ritual off and it would be the same gameplaywise with a different look.

So there's no reason for bhvr to change that xD

It's a high level professional to keep a bug for 2 weeks that broke the game in 2v8 with wesker, that he grabs a surv and it keep it on shoulder keeping the killer in hostage to doing nothing and leave the other killer mate alone vs 7 ppl

Idk why they don't fix this. The funniest part of this bug is how random it is - sometimes I play 10 rounds without it happening and sometimes it's every 2 rounds. Well at least I can still be a minor inconveniance even with it happening, at least they can't do a gen where I am AND sometimes I might even be able to down someone xD

  • @darkshadows8326 said:

When using Weskers power there is a chance that Wesker will not send the survivor to the cage and will just keep the survivor on their shoulder for the rest of the trial time limit. The power becomes unusable and his movement speed is reduced to that of carrying a survivor. Survivor can't wiggle off and even after End Game Collapse the survivor does not get killed resulting in a needed DC by one of the parties or waiting out the entire hour holding 3 players hostage.

    Xbox Series S

Actually the person on your shoulder dies after a while after endgame-collaps. Had it 3 times already and they died every time after a while.

is this a new hill design that the rng isn’t used to yet or a bug?

It looks like they tested some things, but something in the code didn't stop it from appearing for normal players. I'd guess ether the variable is wrongly set, the logik is turned around OR it's somehow just added to the list of tiles that can be generatet but never took out of it.

That are at least the cases I can imagine if I think about the way I test things on a live-website, because I learn to be a web-developer since around 2 months now. (Yes I know that's normally not good xD)

I'm just before 3k with 2950 hours. Only character I have p100 is sable because I used her as a sort of bloodpoint dump.

I have always way too many bloodpoints and it takes too long to use them, so I could've probably be able to have 2-3 p100 I guess. I don't really have a killer I would be 100% happy with to p100, best chance would have huntress with chucky.

    —

Denied Requisition Form (Survivors start infected) appears to be a must-pick for the Killers I've faced. Seems like it provides a strong early game for a Killer already known for a strong late game.

From what I've seen, he is a huge noob stomper.
With perks like Hex: Plaything and Hex: Pentimento, he can slow the mid-game to a painful crawl as Survivors juggle totems, 3D printing, deactivating cameras, and going down in chase quickly (for those unfamiliar with it's power).

Unfortunately, I feel that if I saw this Killer every 3rd of 4th game I would tire of them very quickly. Their lockdown and game delay makes for a dull afair. Counterplay seems to be playing slow and safe.

Increadible fun but also exhausting to play, I can't play him nearly as much as other killers back to back because his power needs so much awareness of survivors positions, my own position, gens, hookstates, management of the cameras, direction they are looking at and so on. He uses a lot of brainpower to actually use his power for what he does xD

I can only imagine what the 2v8 experience is like for anyone who has cross-play disabled on Nintendo Switch! In all seriousness there may not be 8 survivor players in to make a game let alone killers queuing!

I wouldn't be too surprised about that, it's really broken down to a very small queue then.

I think the survey should include the option: Continue but keep every bonus that we currently have.

Without every bonus we currently have I personally don't see any point of playing 2vs8 or go for normal mode with high lobby times and teammates and killers that are way out of their matchmaking range.

I'd also prefer that although I don't use my bloodpoints anyways and the ep bonus was mostly good to level up my battlepass. I think I got from start of the bonus to now from level 40 or something to 72 xD

I don't know if this just me or what but every time I make myself wait that 30 minute queue to play killer in 2v8 nearly every time I get partnered with a Legion either one of two things happens; they either have no idea how to use their power (attacking one person twice while in feral frenzy) OR they don't ever use it in the first place. I know there are most likely a lot of new players starting the game so at first I gave it a pass but at this point it is nearly EVERY Legion match. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just bad luck on my end?

Mhh I played around 8 matches (I played more but mostly with my girlfriend and she actually uses her power xD) with randoms and I only saw two legions I think, but both did what you explained.

    @Caiman said:

Playing Legion in 2v8 is difficult for me because the massive swathes of pallets everywhere can make hitting survivors difficult because you're constantly playing the "will I get hit out of my power or not" game.

I also played him about 10 rounds, it's actually pretty easy to fake the palette for them to drop and then just vault over. Just remember that you should stand still for a moment until you see them after the vault, so that they don't vault back behind you.

But you're also right that the palettes are a litte bit annoying sometimes. Sometimes you just have 3 seconds left because you had to run crossmap and then you can't fake the palette 5 seconds, best thing to do then is just swinging through instantly or at a random moment while faking.

also, correct me if I’m wrong but I am pretty sure I heard that turning off cross play also excludes people on your OWN platform too. So if I have DBD in switch playing with cross play OFF then I also won’t be able to play with/against someone else with a Switch who has cross play ON.

I can’t verify that myself but maybe someone can confirm or myth bust this?

    Dear BHVR,

No amount of extra EXP or BP will reduce queue times in the 2v8 mode.

It's a great and unique game mode (though I’d personally prefer 5v5), but it has two major issues:

    1. Survivors struggle against two killers. In the end, each survivor plays for themselves, which turns the standard 1v(1v1v1v1) dynamic into 2v(8×1v1). This makes the experience frustrating – getting hit twice at the same time means going down after just one chase.
    2. The survivor queue offers nothing new compared to regular matchmaking. Playing as a survivor doesn't feel different from the classic mode, which makes the experience lack variety.

However, there is a solution – though it may not be a popular one:

Increase survivor survivability in 1v1 chases. The easiest way to do this is by giving them additional health states before reaching the critical state.

Killers should be nerfed rather than buffed. 1v1 chases should feel survivor-sided to some extent. (Of course, this must be done carefully to avoid making the mode feel too competitive for killers – after all, it’s supposed to be a fun mode).

Survivor progress should be slowed down. This could be balanced by adding interesting side objectives, such as collecting parts or intentionally provoking chases.

In summary – weaken the survivor TEAM as a whole, but increase the INDIVIDUAL survivor’s chances in a 1v1 chase against a killer. This would create a more balanced and satisfying experience.

Did you ever play against survivors that have a brain in 2vs8? You'll lose so badly if they actually splitt senseful and use the 8k loops that all blend into each other.

The genspeed in this mode is insane going from the gen is on zero, you check another gen, you come back and on the way it's done. It's so awful to play sometimes.

Good job on taking the ######### gamees then and yeah we will see what they do with mmr because last time they changed mmr it was horrible right. Also as survivors its funny how I never am toxic to the killers but I always get the killers that have had a ######### match just now and want to use all evil tactics to win after that. I mean good that you take the swf bullshit too good for you but some of us want a fair game and not a bring every advantage you can fest. But eh whatever you do you.

After a while you learn that you have two options as killer:

First: you play fair and you'll get tbagged and bs'd as much as possible if you don't win, what will happen more often because you don't use essentiell tactics of your role.

    Second:

You play as good as you can and use every chance you can get to get closer to killing them. Will you eventually destroy people like you that just want to play chill? Yes. Is it better for me still? Yes. I hate losing to people because didn't use what I got, so I'm using everything I have as an option.

Oh okay then let me ask if I suck at dealing with their power can I hide. Oh no wait I am not allowed to hide because I am breaking the competitive rule book apparently. I guess I can just go ahead and die as quickly as possible since these killers can end you quick anyways. If you love playing against killers that you hate or find badly designed GREAT FOR YOU as for me if I am playing survivor I will not deal with these fools.

    To the hiding:

do you know in any way how afk crows work? They just update the logic behind them, they don't make it impossible to hide, you'd have to do nothing for it to trigger. It will only trigger in the case of the last 2 people if they don't do anything usefull except hiding xD

To the things with the killer:

Still, don't play survivor then. I have to deal with sabos, I have to deal with flashlights, I have to deal with palettestuns and I have to deal with endless amounts of mapofferings basically forcing me to use sacrifical wards. Do I like it? Nope! Do I leave because of that? Nope I don't, because I queue up with that in mind, and I'm not as weird that I'm leaving the match then.

Also I find it hilarious that you think not wanting to play against someone with 3000 hours more experience than you is invalid reason. I guess you will enjoy having a player that has only 10 hours play against a nurse or blight 4000 hours then.

Well good for you that mmr also stands on the list of changes, seems like you didn't read further after the hiding thing. Also that's to be expected if you play a multiplayer-game, I have around 3k hours and I play against people up to 10k sometimes. I still don't leave because yet again - I queue up with that in mind.

What the ######### do you mean spawning together prevents camping and slugging. Are you listening to yourself???? If all survivors spawn together two things happen. A the killer finds all of you and starts threatens everyone at once and B he finds no one for a little bit and you got at least a part of the generator done. If survivors spawn together they are ######### almost all of the time. Also the removal of a viable mechanic aka hiding from the killer is still an absurd idea to me. We might as well just throw all the hiding perks at this rate since you all hate the hiding option.

Huh what is your problem now? I didn't ever say it prevents it lol, it counters it strengthwise a little bit that's all.

Okay and how many killers do you know that actually have the ability to do something about 4 survivors at once? I don't know a lot. Except that you can and you should also split instantly probably.

Removal (not even, you just have to be more active lol) of hiding of the LAST TWO people, not all. Everything it does is dragging the end of the game for a hatchescape. And yes I know killers do that too, that's probably also annoying, but that's not the point right now.

    @DestroyerBG said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3887464#Comment_3887464

It is hilarious how you act as if survivors are winning the majority of their games or do I have to remind you almost every game the survivors lose even if they do everything right. And hell people have a lot of reasons to give up. I only give up against killers I do not wish to play against because they are either broken, unbalanced or absurdly annoying to the point I don't want to deal with them. Why should I deal with an obviously badly designed killer instead of going to another game for example? Or you know if they will be so strict I will just play the game with one life until I die cause why bother against Trickster, Singularity, Xenomorph or Knight or someone else who is either annoying, bugged or I can see the killer is MUCH MORE skilled than me? Why should anyone be playing against a 3000 hour killer player that sounds unfair on our side. Or you just don't care whats fair and you just care for the killer to be getting the easy kills. Most games are lost anyways.

Good job you pointed perfectly out why it should be punished. Every single one of those reasons is simply invalid. Don't queue if you're not ready to play against them or deal with it, there's no inbetween.

  • @Pit_Bull_Love said:

I love how these are "survivor buffs or qol changes" yet the only people I see happy about the changes are people who are extremely killer sided in their opinions.

I'd also be salty if I'd lose a grade on top of a timeout every time I leave a match on some way for no good reason and that it feels like every two matches xD

Nothing against you, but there isn't a lot about those points that are really killersided. In theorie you shouldn't even want to leave matches anymore after the second phase because many survivors always say they leave because of tunneling, camping or slugging, and all of that should be fixed to an extend that wouldn't make you want to leave. The hiding thing is good for both sides because we waste less time and the spawning together is to counter the anti-tunnel, -camp and -slugging things a little bit because that will surely be a huge nerf to killers.

In the end I'm the happiest about the map-offering and bloodweb-changes. I don't have to play on horrible maps as much anymore AND I don't waste years using my bloodpoints xD

  • @doobiedo said:

This game is killer sided enough as it is as every non-biased player knows, so why is Bhvr. nerfing survivor even more by forcing solo survivors to spawn together so we can be wiped out by a Billy with lethal at the start of the match. In addition they want to make it impossible to hide at endgame and all, basically just give the killer free kills, and they want to try and punish players who refuse to be forced to stay in every 12 year old killer main's sado fantasy.

I understand that Phase 2 will supposedly add more survivor sided changes, but wouldn't it make more sense to mix it up rather than being like "well we're going to completely destroy gameplay for one side, but its okay we'll make it more even a few months later." Good luck keeping survivors even playing until then.

As a more general question, why is everyone on the forums getting so excited about this? It's like you guys forget this is Bhvr. we're talking about. Bhvr. must have read how so many people were posting about how dbd needs some sort of health initiative, and they decided to just announce one, knowing that no one will pay attention to what's actually in it. They were exactly right, they have been showered with praise by the unwashed masses, and anyone with reservations, even slight ones, is being shouted down.

Everything we know about Bhvr's history, as well as what changes have already been described, shows clearly that this will likely be a disaster. Even if Bhvr. eventually gets the game somewhere closer to right, going by the kinds of changes they've announced so far it's going to be a long time till then. So go right ahead thinking Bhvr. has suddenly figured it all out, I'll just stay cynical so I'm not disappointed once again.

First of all the first sentence:

Lol I don't even argue one that, even if explained perfectly you wouldn't accept that probably.

    To the lethal part:

I don't argue about that, could surely happen. Well I believe in the only ability a survivor has except holding m1 - running.

    Free kills:

First of all as far as I know it counts for the last to survivors - that's not automaticly endgame. Second it's there to prevent the last two survivors from hiding for ages to let the other one die. And third - the hatch exists to prevent the last two people from hiding, even tho it did the exact wrong thing how it seems. The hatch is literally a free escape chance for no reason at all you have as survivor, if you really think that's a "free kill" then we're even now.

    Anti-go-next:

I'm all for it to punish this, so many people in this game just kill themself on hook because they can't loop me for 3 minutes and tbag, or even tbag me from the start and lay down in the dust 5 seconds later. It's awful how many people leave for the dumpest reason even tho they could've won that easily - I even saw people that insulted teammates but told me that it wasn't my fault. So it's not even just me that has to hear the complains of not letting them farm (even tho almost every match has a dc at some point), but even survivors are triggerd by that.

"Forced to stay in every 12 year old killer main's sado fantasy" - what's yours? Being the "heroic" survivor that loops the killer for 5 minutes on the strongest loops without counterplay?

Well "too bad you won't make it much further".

You post starts with every "non-biased players" and ends with that sentence in the first paragraph. No one could read this with a straight face and agree with that.

  • @TheSaltySaloon said:

They couldn’t wait to ruin a fun idea by throwing in the sweatiest killers to immediately suck the fun out.

This was the perfect game mode to have basic M1 killers who are too slow for the base game have some fun against vanilla survivors with vanilla perks and vice versa, but no.

Now every game is another sweat fest with nothing but Nurse, Wesker, Spirit and Legion.

    Whats next Skull Merchant?

To have "basic m1 killers agains vanilla survivors"?

Bro you have 80 palettes next to each other, and not even trash palettes but sometimes 2 big rockloops, 2 jungle jims, main AND probably some trash palettes. We don't even talk about the fact that you have classes that do insane things at times and herbs that heal you instantly or even give you an entire hookstate.

I wouldn't touch this mode with an m1 killer at all, even with a killer like blight, wesker or hillbilly this amount of palettes, and other things randomly happening because of classes, kills you sometimes. You won't be able to keep up with the survivors if you play m1 and they have anything in their head.

I am against the upcoming Map Offering balancing.

A 20% increase in the chance of getting the specified map makes Map Offering worthless.

I hope it will be scrapped.

We can delete them completely as well, map offerings are only used to get an absolute awful advantage on both sides. I'm okay with getting 8 eyries of crows back to back on random, but it's just annoying to play on it 8 times, because survivors can't just keep their hands of map offerings. (In my case I talk about survivors but I just play killer a lot more, the other way around it's probably the same I assume.)

Of course that's mostly a problem because the maps are just horrible balanced for the most part, but how it is in the moment I don't see a reason for them to exist except suffering. (Of course I don't only mean survivorsided maps, I'd exchange every killersided map anytime for all maps being balanced 50/50. It's overall just better for me to have them all balanced instead of wanting to bang my head on a wall if I see eyrie of crows xD)

Does The Unknown get alerted when dispelling their clones? I haven't played as them, but usually I can dispel easily.

I do find it a little dumb that The Unknown can teleport if you're mid animation dispelling but I overlook it because I love playing against them regardless, lol.

Probably the only killer I don't really get upset around when I get hit (latency related) because they're very fun to play against, in my opinion.

@KatsuhxP , lol I don't even get destroyed by her normally. I just like going against her because when you're on a map with a lot of objects - it's hard for a Nurse to keep up with you. She's easier for me to loop compared to a Blight (I can still loop Blight, just trickier). She's just a lot of fun to play against due to the fact that she teleports, swings and a miss her attack, out of breath, and you can still continue running. Her lunge can be a little questionable at times, but I still enjoy going against her even if she's an S tier killer.

Me neither, but I also know that I play not enough survivor to get really good nurses, so I say that in general xD

What is the point of having the killer pick up a survivor (since the second time 2v8 came out), when you can't even stun or blind them in order to drop the survivor?
It happened quite a lot during this time in 2v8 that I stun or blind the killer and nothing happens and the survivor is still hooked.

Yes, even then it's very easy to get rid of the orb on your head rightfully so.

But then again, I love going against them. 😂 I always have great chases with them but I am aware that not many people have chase potential or recognize and analyze the game like I do. A true DBD nerd 🥸 Huntress is by far a stronger killer than The Unknown.

The Unknown is a bit finicky when it comes to the ball, it can spit and land directly on the survivor doing absolutely nothing. It can land and injure the survivor, sure - but I don't know, they're not an issue and doesn't deserve any nerfs in my opinion.

Very fun killer to go up against, but my opinions are weird because I even like going up against Nurse lmao. ☠️

Edit: honestly, think it's because I prefer mind game potential. These killers are very easy to mindgame, so they're my favorites to go against. I always do good chases against Nurse and The Unknown because of line of sight blockers, so I can't resonate that The Unknown is strong.

I don't think any killer is strong theoretically other than Hillbilly or Blight, but even then I can still loop them (Blight is a little harder to maneuver compared to Hillbilly looping wise).

Actually I also like to play against nurse, sure they destroy you sometimes, but in general the chases are fun xD
