Sleepless nights are too versatile and frustrating for the killer and should be nerfed.
I hope the development team takes into account the frustration on the part of the killer as well as the survivors.
What do you even mean? Was this supposed to mean survivors or a perkname or something completely different?
I'm sorry I really can't tell

Was playing DBD and honestly I was not really playing that well. A lot of my matches have been losses and I went on a 12-match losing streak due to personal skill issue paired with awful luck, not that I mind, but it was rough. We got into a game versus a Demo which immediately raised my energy since I love Demo (I am a Demo main) and I love seeing people play Demo.

I had a Trans and Bi Pride charm equipped btw (and no other charms since I refuse to mess with the Charm UI until it is changed), they made other comments about my identity.

As screenshots imply, I have a hearing impairment, and I often have to rely on the visual Terror Radius to tell if the Killer is nearby.
I could not hear the Survivor Grunts of Pain and accidentally ran the Killer towards other Survivors, since I was just naturally running to areas that had resources since my teammates used all the pallets at the central map. I was not intentionally leading the Killer to them, it was entirely accidental.
Keep in mind as well that this was Chaos Shuffle, and I didnt even have a single perk that gave me Aura Reading, so it's not like they were making assumptions based on my perks either.

Honestly Kev was nice the entire time and was trying their best to defuse the situation but past a certain point even they realized that it was pointless.
And Kev does make a good point here, it takes 2 seconds to queue into another game yet they decided to wait the duration of the match (they both died before me and Kev) just to say awful things in the Post-Game Chat. I dont understand why people do this? Like what does this accomplish?
Some people simply have a really bad life, can't explain that to myself otherwise. It's quite something to have so much hate inside you, that you're wasting your time to insult random people in the internet xD

I've had a few matches ever since I started using the perk Bardic Inspiration that got me thinking. I'm a solo survivor main, and I've been running Bardic Inspiration for a month or so. Occasionally I'll have bad matches where 1 or 2 gens are done, 2 survivors are sacrificed, only 2 of us left and there is zero chance we both make it out.
In these situations I've found trying to charm the killer works a good chunk of the time, especially if I whip out the guitar and play for the killer. Like half the time, they leave me be. But if that happens, they then usually try and go find the other teammate, sacrifice them, and give me hatch. It didn't really occur to me until recently that its kind of a dick move and might be considered working with the killer maybe? I've only ever tried charming the killer when the match is totally lost, and I'm about to get the hook. Sort of a last attempt. But the fact they usually go hook the other survivor makes me feel bad, so I'm not gonna do it anymore unless I'm the last survivor. But I was just curious if that would be considered working with the killer or not?In theorie it can. In reality bhvr can't force the killer to kill the last person and you can't decide who the killer kills - so I'd be really surprised if bhvr actually cares about that.

If it doesn't bother only you, that's no reason not to fix these mistakes that you shouldn't have in the game.
Perhaps you have no idea how many bugs the assassins have in this game and how many flaws the survivors use to gain an unfair advantage.
I have 3k hours, I know more than enough how many bugs there are. But there's a huge difference between fixing rare situtations almost never happening, and actual bugs that are relevant. You're simply way too dramatic for what those bugs actually do.
Also I'm not that onesided that I simply ignore the fact that I used many bugs in the past too, and still do it. Was it intenteded to completly slide around shack with blight? People are arguing about that, but probably not - doesn't change the fact I used it and found it fun, it's an unintended advantage in the end.
Bugs are a huge thing in dbd because it makes the gameplay more interessting and skillful. I'm not against them in general, only the major ones. That's the reason why I simply don't care about them if they are that rare.

There should be no such rescues. It's not normal for a survivor to jump into a closet, and the killer takes him out, for which he is punished.
A deep wound is weakened for the second time. I'm sure this won't be her last change. Question: why was it added to the game at all, if it's getting easier and easier for survivors to get rid of it?
Maybe I put it wrong about syringes. Survivors should not be able to be treated during the chase. Given the amount of spawn that the survivors have, the killers simply don't have time to hit the survivor who used the syringe. This item should not give them an advantage in the chase.
I know that syringes don't make survivors invulnerable, but they feel safe with it, knowing that the syringe will heal them and they can run for a very long time.
Circle of Healing, Shadow Step, and Exponential are not weak skills that give you a huge advantage on closed maps.
Survivors should not return to the same totem over and over again. They can bless an unlimited number of them per match.
But personally, I've seen the advantage Babysitter and Deliverance provide, especially in endgame, and I assure you that this shouldn't happen.
Still, those saves are way to rare for me to care. It's way to much setup for most games anyways.
Deepwounds exist as a slowdown and a way to make chaining endurance harder, doesn't mean it can't be subject to change. Also it's not so weak that you can't use it at all anymore, it's just weaker.
Syringes aren't weak, but onetime use and also not guaranteed on most loops. It would be way to harsh to only allow them out of chase.
They aren't weak, but they are far from being op in my opinion. They are simply just annoying, but to be honest even with your proposed basekit shattered hope I wouldn't move there and kick it - it's more of a timewaste to move there and kick it than simply let it be and deal with it.
I've also seen that - ages ago and maybe a few times. I play against people ranging from 2k to 11k and it never happens on that lvl. Simply to rare to make a problem out of it.

• Light grenades can blind the Killer after he gets the survivor out of the locker.
This is an absolutely unfair opportunity that many survivor players actively use.
How can this be fixed? Make the Killer immune to blinding for 2-3 seconds after he gets the survivor out of the locker.
The same goes for the fact that the Killer can be blinded in time to interrupt the survivor's action.;
• A deep wound.
For some reason, it seemed to the developers that the survivors did not like this effect, because it slows them down and forces them to spend time getting rid of it. Therefore, the healing time has been reduced, which will give the survivors extra seconds of time and deprive them of the killer.
Let me remind you that the darkening of the screen has already been removed due to a deep wound. This is the second time that a deep wound has been weakened.
If the healing time of a deep wound has been reduced, I believe that the healing progress should be reset if the survivor releases the action button, so that there are no situations where he repairs to 99%, after which he runs to give his back to a teammate who is being chased by the Legion.
Or make it so that if the survivor begins to patch up, he can no longer undo this action.
• One button is responsible for several actions.
Lifting a survivor / breaking a generator or board / opening a locker, etc. - one button is responsible for all these actions, which creates a lot of unpleasant situations when, for example, instead of lifting a survivor, you climb out the window. And this happens all the time, which is abused by some survivors.
I ask the developers to fix this problem and make sure that different buttons are responsible for different actions in the game.
• Anti Hemorrhagic Syringe
Many wounded survivors use a syringe when they are being chased by a Killer, which gives them the opportunity to heal right during the chase.
I believe that a syringe should not make survivors invulnerable and should not work when they are being chased.
The skills and improvements of the first-aid kit should also not affect the speed of treatment with a syringe, as it provides an already huge advantage that allows survivors to save their time.
• Blessings.
Survivors are given the opportunity to bless the same totem an unlimited number of times per match.
This forces the Killer to spend precious time putting it out over and over again each time.
Some survivors abuse totem builds, which creates a lot of problems.
How can I fix this issue? Embed the "Shattered Hope" skill for the assassins. The survivors will be forced to look for different totems instead of blessing the same one.
• "Babysitter" and "Deliverance" skills.
After powering the gate, these skills do not turn off, which allows the survivor to jump off on his own and manage to reach the gate, especially if teammates help him.
Babysitter gives the survivor a 10% boost for as much as 30 seconds, which is too much of an advantage, especially in endgame.
Given that the progress of opening gates does not reset when they are not opened, I believe these skills give survivors an unfair advantage.
Flashbang-saves that way were already made, harder and are really rare. So I don't care about that.
deepwounds are a boring way to play anyways, gives legion and deathslinger the chance to be buffed in the interessting parts instead.
Syringes don't give invulnabilty, that are styptic agents - of course you can combine them, but you didn't say that (in which case you wasted the syringe btw, because then it simply heals the deepwounds). Otherwise than that they are annoying on strong structures but on everything else it's kinda balanced since they got slowed down by the medkit-nerf a while ago.
Boons are mostly so weak that I really don't care about them honestly. Yes shadowstep can be annoying as hell and exponential can cost you the endgameslug, but that's both managable - also you can just destroy it in terms of exponential when needed.
Deli and babysitter - I didn't see that in ages. Way to rare for me to care about that.

I've seen someone using an aimbot for Trickster. The guy had that, wallhacks and was able to hit ppl through walls. He was downing ppl from across the map.
Still doesn't make a lot of sense, in theorie the aimbot should miss relatively often then. Otherwise he had to aim in front, but that would be really easy to outplay then.

So I've made a habit out of watching vods of streamers I've versed after the match is over. Mostly because there are a lot of streamers that give a lot of insight into how the game is progressing and also how you as killer screwed up or what you could have done better. You don't get much feedback from the other side normaly. For clarity: I watch the Vod AFTER the match has ended.
What really baffled was how many of those streamers and therefore probably also normal players abuse the report system. "Oh you play Legion and mending is unfair" ⇒ reported for exploiting. "Oh you use huntress with her broken hit boxes" ⇒ reported for cheating. "Oh I died first on hook" ⇒ gameplay abuse.
I got so many reports just for picking the wrong killer or not playing the demanded 12 hook, stand in a corner after each unhook and let people reset srat. And those are just the reports that I saw on stream and I am sure about since they were streamed. Guess the normal amount is much higher.
Like it's no wonder that the report system doesn't do anything if everyone reports every killer, survivor or playstyle they don't like.
That sadly happens in a lot of games, sometimes even with a notice for you, my awnser is always: "Sure have fun, and see how wrong you are. Won't do anything because I didn't use an aimbot" (this example happened relatively often on huntress, but also on deathslinger somehow. How would this even work with the time difference until it hits) xD

The number is probably the ServerID for that specific match. My guess is that you lost connection to the server for a moment and because of that you got punished for disconnecting - dbd doesn't really differentiat between leaving and losing connection.
I don't think you can contest that, but I know this is annoying. Had that a lot a while ago because I lived in a village, still not the best but better xD

”Gen rushing” like there’s other objectives to do as survivor. When killers snowball and get hook after hook it’s not called “hook rushing” it’s called doing their objective. I’m sorry but just because the game isn’t built around not having slowdown doesn’t mean survivors are Gen rushing. Maybe the survivor you’re chasing is just good enough to hold their own and keep you away from gens. I do agree that the lack of slowdown causes the killer to panic and tunnel but that doesn’t mean survivors are Gen rushing. What else are survivors supposed to do? Twittle their thumbs for 40 seconds while the killer chases another survivor?
Please show me the exact row where I wrote "Gen rush"/"Gen rushing" even once, I'd be really interested to see that.
Also I didn't say that survivors should do anything else - I simply said that both sides don't have slowdown or chase/anti-tunnel, so gens aswell as kills are pretty quick. Also except ghostface and I think one more killer I don't remember exactly, I won every single round yesterday - so my chase is not the problem. The game simply isn't balanced around not having slowdown/anti-tunnel.
-
@MoZo said:
Horrible. Killers are taking advantage of the fact that there’s no guarantee anti tunnel or anti slug perks so most of my matches have been the killer hard tunneling off rip and then hard slugging when there is 1-2 gens left. It’s miserable…
And teams with 3-4 flashlights and map offerings are better? Gens are also super fast because there's no slowdown, chase or sometimes even anything you're working with. If you're not playing a higher tier killer but something like legion, you're especially losing gens fast xD
Both sides take advantage of the absence of anything usefull on the other side. But that's kinda the point of this gamemode - if they wanted to give you the things you normally have as a baseline, they would've done it.

Playing as killer has become almost impossible with how long the queues are. And playing as a solo survivor is even worse. It’s just not fun anymore, it's not engaging, it's honestly worse than working. Devs really need to rethink things. The game needs to be more accessible for solo survivors, increase interaction between survivors, and, most importantly, make it fun again. They should give more tools for visibility, like allowing us to ping generators and pallets. It would also be great if survivors got a visual alert when a generator is being worked on, just like in the mobile version. And being able to ping a generator, mark a downed survivor on a pallet, or see if someone has perks like Decisive Strike or Deliverance would help make the game feel more dynamic and balanced. And last but not least, stop buffing killers!
That's definitely a you problem with the queue, because I don't even wait 15 seconds xD

Genuine question, why do people that run S tiers or very high A tier killers always run full meta? I don’t know the last time I seen a blight, nurse, Billy, spirit or Dracula not running pain res, grim, and either pop, eruption or surge with 1 info perk. You’re already playing a killer that can stomp majority of the matches they load into and bring stacked regression is just overkill. I just went against a very good spirit that was running blood favor, undying, pain res and grim and we only got 2 gens done before her first kill and she was spreading hooks evenly. She had 5 hook stages by the time she got her 4th stack of grim and we were still at 4 gens left. It’s just overwhelming the amount of pressure they can cause and if you’re not a very coordinated swf or very good solo q with good game sense you are almost guaranteed to lose the match. This also goes the same for survivors. If you’re already a good survivor, why do you need to stack second chance perks and bring stacked items and add-ons into the trial? It just makes no sense why we can’t just run chill fun builds without one side or both just steam rolling the match because they were over prepared and brought full meta.
I mean if you're actually good at the game you ether want to run full meta or meme builds. Most people like winning and get better because of that, so they choose meta builds - just because they could run meme builds and win relatively often, that doesn't mean that's their focus.
Also the end sentance pretty much reasons it: you never know what the other side brings. So if you're playing a meme build and your opponents full meta you'll probably lose - the solution is that you bring meta builds yourself and if you need it you have it and if you don't you still won. (Of course this requires you to have the desire to win, if you don't other people with this logic will probably make you lose)
I personally am I thing in the middle:
I use pop, bbq, brutal and bamboozle most of the time and therefore a okay build with chasefocus. I tunnel, camp and slug if you give me the chance but I mostly don't force it.

Maybe I'm a trash killer stuck in bottom of the barrel dumpster mmr. Maybe it doesn't matter? Either way I've noticed that I get looped insanely efficiently by bots as opposed to players. To as point where it feels like straight up walling. At times bots will perfectly mirror me at powerful pallets / tiles and maybe I'm missing some mind game forbidden knowledge but it doesn't feel very fair to me. I will say in defense of the survivors, It's nice to have a leg up with a wall bot after one of your baby rager teammates leaves due to the slightest inconvenience. But It's disheartening to see as a killer main. "Well the survivor that kept running in front of me during chase left, now I have to deal with the T-1000 of dbd looping fml"
They are, sometimes because of their looping logic but mostly just because they can do impossible things. Especially some dodges they do and almost every single flashlight blind are absolutely impossible for humans xD

It’s healthier for the game if power struggle + flip flop was nerfed. We have so many people demanding anti slugging, that we really shouldn’t have a combo in the game, that encourages killer to bleed out any survivor that has been slugged under a pallet for more than a few seconds.
A survivor getting 30% dying recovery, can be faster than it takes for a killer to completely check the surrounding area for teammates, which is often what killers should be doing if a survivor purposely gets knocked down under an undropped pallet… because if the survivor didn’t bother to drop pallet, it might be because they are setting up a pallet save.
I understand the reasoning, probably it is better, idk we'll see.

When survivors place themselves in situations where the killer can't reliably get them to a hook, it encourages killers to let them bleed out on the ground.
The actual solution is that flip flop recovery shouldn't count for power struggle. The perk should require the killer to carry a survivor through a pallet. It shouldn't be "get 30% of dying state recovery, and flip flop turns that into an instant power struggle"
Yes that would be an option, but maybe make it a little bit too useless. I'm used to not really running through palettes since years, so it would basically only activate on forced palettes.

There's more in life than slugging, tunneling and camping, lol. I was saying with how quick it activates, you're essentially countering getting picked up. Unless the killer grabs you IMMEDIATELY without regard for anyone else in the area who could pull down the pallet, its gonna activate.
I mean you could say that, but that would be a little bit dramatic in my opinion. Of course you can't look around, but the perk itself without someone near you won't stop you from picking up the survivor.
-

Considering that you can get power struggle to be active in as short as 7 seconds of being on the ground, I think it's countering more than just slugging. If the killer so much as looks around to ensure the coast is clear before picking up a survivor under a pallet, they're gonna get hit.
I mean not really? It doesn't activate while you camp (obviously), and also not while you tunnel - you have to slug for a moment.
So I wouldn't say it counters anything else.

It literally is bugged, it says no where in the perk a killer can swing out of a stun. Half the point of running the perk was to waste killers time who tunnel. This is the hypocrisy of some of you. You want things nerfed/fixed/changed because it wasn't fun. But since you benefit from being able to avoid a pallet stun cheaply it isn't bugged. And for the guy who said it creates more slugging. It doesn't, if the killer picks up right away they avoid the stun and does the opposite of encouraging slugging.
What is the problem of people with descriptions in the forum at the moment? Can't you think yourself without reading it?
You know what also doesn't stand in ds? That you should run to the killer to waste his time. You what doesn't stand in otr? That you should use it to bodyblock. You know what never stood in the horsey perk? That you should run up to a crazy mainbuilding and make yourself unhookable.
Just because it doesn't stand there it doesn't mean it isn't possible or intended. Outside of that I don't care at all about the perk if I tunnel lol - it's punishing slugging not tunneling, it only activates after being slugged, not tunneled.
Flashbangs could only be dropped inside you after the unknown chapter and blinded you no matter where you looked. Flashlights could blind you outside your viewingfield what didn't ever make sense. But powerstruggle can only be avoided because you simply missed the palette, and that only if you're positioned badly, that's completely intended.

Power Struggle should be design to punish killers that completely walk through an unstopped pallet.
Power Struggle shouldn’t make survivors immune to being picked up. Part of the anti-slugging changes should address this, because survivors that force killers to slug is part of the slugging problem.
I'd be okay with that, at the moment there's not really a counter except this little trick (that also has counterplay obviously) if someone's near the palette. You don't really have an option except slugging.

In which world? Dbd doesn't encourage it in any form to be a "mario party", as soon as any side plays a little bit better than just started, you'll have the problem that you're in the wrong game if want to play it that way.
You can see it on swfs and hightier killers that you won't be able to work around - this game is not made to be threated as a party game even if bhvr also said that in the past.
I don't even say it's a comp game, but it's still a pvp game that are competetive in nature.

To be fair, sometimes you cannot drop the Pallet despite mashing Space. I have the suspicion that if the Killer lunges their position at the end of the lunge is determined when deciding if the Killes is blocking the Pallet from being dropped or not.
That's just the killer beeing too close to your side and blocking you, or palettes that have a bad hitbox where you can't drop in general. At least I didn't see it work that way, it was simply just the palette that didn't want to work quite right.
But those problems with dropping I also have with normal throws to stun, sometimes the palette doesn't accept being dropped.

when dropping a pallet, killer sometimes use the swing animation to get out of being stunned. This should not be allowed. If you are picking up at a pallet the killer should be able to be stunned and not block it by swinging. This has been an issue for awhile now. Also we need to talk about gen rushing. What the heck! I literally started a game and not even 1 minute later 2 to 3 gen’s are almost completed. Something needs to be done about this, the cheaters the excessive brand new parts etc! I don’t think either side is fun at the current state of DBD and I don’t know if I even want to play anymore. No improvements on getting rid of cheaters (the obvious ones especially) just make the game unenjoyable. Hope the coming updates actually balances the game. I play both roles but both seem like they need a TON of work. Get to work behavior bc I love DBD and hate to leave.
Why shouldn't this be allowed? You dropped it to late and because of that he didn't get hit. You're already stuck in place for it feels like half a second maybe even an entire one.

Good I don't even have to discuss more with you because I even reasoned my point and you ignored it lol. Welp, they won't balance for controller fully ever anyways, so you do your thing ^^

So are they going to fix power struggle so killers can't swing out of the animation anymore.... Or they'll just let it be for another couple years
That's not bugged, you obviously don't get stunned if you're not hit with the palette. You simply can't instantly press space to drop it and the killer can if he clicks 100 times a second (it feels like) swing out of it and eventually don't get hit, however this only works if the survivor isn't perfectly in the middle and even then only sometimes.

To be completely honest, I just love the Marine Guard Nea skin, and I'm mad at myself for not knowing about it earlier. I'm also mad at myself for not having completed Tome 6…
Pls help <3
I don't know what cosmetic this is, but in general battlepass skins are always released after a relatively long time as far as I know xD

"Except that horrorgames and horrorfilms are always dropping off in scaryness if you played them more than one time or saw them more than one time" ~ Again that's exactly the problem, hence why I personally think environmental changes will increase the unpredictability factor for Killers and Survivors which in turn can make the game "scary" or at least add that uneasiness or tension while in game. Plus they both can take advantage of said environmental changes, which could add new playstyles, builds, etc. to the pool. Now I understand how environmental changes such as weather, fog, etc. can be annoying but in my mind if done right, it would be a nice change and to me feel like a horror game again, even if the "scary" factor isn't fully there. All in all change keeps things interesting and change I personally think is needed for this game to remain in the horror genre for years to come.
As someone with adhd I prefer games to be predictable with enough hours especially in multiplayergames, I don't like things that are so increadible unpredicable that you're actually scared because of this. Also the horror genre is heavely influenced by cliches, you can predict jumpscares super often, so completely random would probably swing around in it being funny a lot of the times rather than scary.
Well I guess we won't come to point we both see it as perfect. You want a more unprediable, uneasy feeling game more focusing on the horror aspect, and I want a game I can predict after enough hours that feels good to play and is clean as far as things hindriging on gameplay goes.

But see that's exactly the problem, no one should be getting use to it no longer being scary. The very definition of what the horror genre is, is that it's "intended to evoke strong feelings of fear, dread, and unease in the audience, often exploring themes of the macabre, the unknown, and the supernatural." Now I don't want the game to be unplayable but I'd also like that fear factor to return and if we can't have it from the killers on their own, then in my mind make environmental changes like lighting, adding weather, etc. I want all (new players and old) to keep the factors of what a game in the horror genre should have, now true we might not be able to reclaim the "scary" factor for all us players who have played awhile, but like we should at least feel tension, dread, and uneasiness when in-game. So like the fact that yall are just telling me like "it is how it is" just shows to me how numbed you all are too, so change is needed somewhere somehow.
The fokus simply shifted, I was really scared at the start because I wasn't very good and saw the atmosphere more than the gameplay. I'm at 3k hours by now, the atmosphere is simply a cool detail while playing but nothing relavant for how I play personally - the only thing I see in fog, rain and so on is simply that it annoys me because it makes looking out for certain things harder.
Also a game shouldn't make you feel uneasy constantly, especially not a multiplayergame even if it's a horror multiplayer.
Except that horrorgames and horrorfilms are always dropping off in scaryness if you played them more than one time or saw them more than one time, it's simply in the nature of humans to learn and expect things in situations that are similiar or completely the same.

How about we just keep the advantages and disadvantages (to a certain extend) of every plattform and just accept it? as far as I remember mouse and keyboard is coming to consoles anyways, so there's not even a need to invest a huge amount of money to switch then.
Controllers are especially for games where you want to look around quickly or precisely very bad, so I don't think we should nerf killers for all because the obviously worse way to controll a character can't do that. We should simply make the controls with Controllers as good as possible and try to get as close to m&k as possible (in this case would mean simply make it available for consoles player too), but I don't think we will ever get it 100%, because controllers simply are at a disadvantage because of how they work.
Balancing after controllers inability to do certain things would only make the game more boring.
(Btw this is kinda meant as an awnser to you, but I wrote it as awnser to you more because it fits pretty much for what I wanted to say. Just so you're not confused xD)

Now I know this is never gonna be your typical horror game where it's so dark, scary, and full of jump scares. But I personally would like to be scared or at least a little more on edge when playing as a survivor. So I have some suggestions that I personally think would increase the scare factor of the game without destroying the whole point of the game.
- Remove the all the offerings that affect the dark mist thickness and just make it permanently foggy - I have over 1,000+ hours and I've hardly seen anyone ever use them. So remove the offerings but make the dark mist effect just a part of the game.
- Darken the Eerie Of Crows map - I feel like it's too bright of a map to feel any sort of tension from as a survivor. So I recommend just changing the lighting, so if you wanna keep some brightness but also make it scary I would change the lighting to something more around dusk.
- Update some of the older killers mori's - I feel like the more horrifying the mori, the less likely someone is gonna wanna get mori'd by a killer, like at least show a wound where they got stabbed or slashed in the mori's. Plus the old killers (for example: the mori's of Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, etc. just need major help)
- Update the weather effects - I feel like there needs to be more intense weather on some maps or just more weather in general, like some maps just have a light snow or rain. But like me personally I'd love to see blizzards on some snowy maps, hear thunder, see lightning on some rainy maps, like this stuff would add tension to the game as well as effect survivor visibility in a unique way rather than just using fog for everything.
Anyways these are just some ideas and would love to hear your feedback on them BHVR, I wanna be scared lol!! 👻
I mean this is a horrorgame - newer players are actually scared, I'd say the reason we aren't is that we played dbd way too much for it to be scrary already.
I know for a fact unknown, dredge, sadako and twins are scary at the start, but that simply doesn't count for players that played for a while because we got used to it and lost focus of the experience for the gameplay itself.
I mean unknown is realistically just a funny boi, dredge a huge turkey, sadako a little undead ghost girl with a little bit overgrown hair that you hear from miles (but is probably behind you), and twins is just a woman with a really unpracticle weapon choice plus a loot goblin as support. All in all the fog wouldn't change much on that: it would only disorientate for no real reason and hurt in your eyes after a while - also I feel the gameplay is a lot less clean because it's a situation like corn, it's more annoying than really any gameplay aspect that I want to have.
Well I don't like fog in games in general, so I'm happy it doesn't really exist anymore xD

loops are getting ridiculous and there are too many pallets and vaulting edges to even get a hit on someone we should have it when a killer decides to chase someone the longer the chase the faster the killer gets
We already have that - it's called bloodlust like already mentioned by other people. You get it after a while if you're in chase - so when you hear the chasemusic.

OK interesting, but that definitely seems like an unintended bug to me. And I get that killers with a high skill ceiling are a good thing, but not sure if this should stay, considering how much counterplay it could take away from the survivors side.
I mean if you make it a perfect timed thing and you have to touch the the suvivor directly, maybe combined with the need to be marked, then I'd see that as a usable mechanic that's fair.

Damn how exactly does that work? Do you cancel the power while sliding, allowing you to get a hit? Doesn't seem intended to me honestly, and probably shouldn't be intended, considering survivors should have some counterplay as well.
Nope, it feels like you start another leap just at moment where you touch the survivor in the the air, and for some reason you probably do a m1 at the start. The timing for that is so hard that it's not really usable at least for me xD

I don't see how that's the case at all. His ability to injure survivors is really strong. He has good mobility which allows him to apply map pressure, and while he can't down with his power, he can still use his power to catch up to injnured survivors, making it harder for them to get to a pallet or window. He seems pretty well balanced if you ask me.
He can down, I just don't know if it's intended and it's super hard to do xD

ho yeah the chase potential is insane if it doesnt change but I was mostly comparing it to add-ons that give you value with aura's and stuff like that, like rize's glasses
I mean the auras don't do much as long as I know where to find survivors, at loops it's okay but it's also not needed. So I prefer the chase ones :D

When I was testing against bots, I got stunned before fully entering enraged mode and it did the animation all over again while moving at normal speed. I'm using the add-on the add extra sliding and longer range to leap. It helps. I might try the add-ons you mentioned lol
How did you get stunned before entering enraged mode? You just have to jump once and then with the second one (or second or third if you're enraged) you injure and mark the survivor. But I guess he's a little bit buggy sometimes xD
