TheThere should be a map editor to edit whatever tiles you want and place them for maps. That way tournaments and custom games can use one standard map.

Also while we are on that they need map offerings that do stuff like increase window spawns, but decrease pallets, or map offerings that spawn the killer shack with the saloon variety ect ect.

    First part sounds fun.

second sounds like hell - what stops people from using a map-offering for the game and increase palette spawns even more? The downside wouldn't matter because you can count the windows on one hand anyways, and there would be even more palettes. I really don't think we'd ever get that balanced to a point where it's not annoying.

I'm quite new and I joined just after Springtrap announcement. How long is it usually until new Killers drop? I'd love to see some more Killers.

Usually there's every 3 months a new chapter I believe, sometimes it's more. And it's not always killer and survivors but sometimes just one of the two, there's also a chance it's 2 survivors and 1 killer.

Also springtrap releases on tuesday the 17th of june (at least in germany) xD

so iv recently got back into DBD and im confused about this killer, is it meant to be able to hit you through walls and around corners? Also it seems like it has 0 cooldown once it usses its power and misses?(whereas Wesker has a momentary pause after using its power) This just seems crazy to me…😅

I think the game counts it as a hit basically as soon as you pressed attack, however it doesn't stop the survivor from moving until you're onto the survivor, so if he moves behind a wall in this time you're still hitting him but now behind a wall. This has it's limit as far as I saw, but it looks really weird a lot of the times.

You're not talking about his miss-cooldown but his cancel-cooldown, the canceling is fast on purpose. He can't down with his power, but he can cancel it and get faster m1 hits that way - he's basically a actually usable legion.

I understand alot of people enjoy this game. But this game is very survivor focused, the killers shouldn't have to knock a person down 3 times to kill them. It should be easier to kill a basic human as a juggernaut of a infected bioweapon or a perfect killing machine like the xenomorph. The toxicity of this game pushes so many killer players away, why not make it so that you can only blind the killer 2 times per character or not able to heal fully without a kit so that the killer is more feared than feeling more like scary movie.

I've played this game for ages and I just feel like the game has gotten so one sided it's unfair to killers. The Survivors squad up and talk to each other to avoid the killer they also gen rush or loop constantly, the maps are also really player sided as thie map designs make it so easy to loop. I'd make it so u get 2 uses of pallets and windows you get more tired the more you use them (same window repeatedly aka loop trolling) and become slower. Making so that they need to think instead of looping constantly. Also the exiting the game should be harder as once they pass the gate it's over and not very fair on the killer.

it should be for example, if you troll or play the fool by standing there t bagging at the exit. Your exit is now locked to you till you leave the area and go to another exit or leave and go back into the one you got blocked from. Stopping all this dancing to troll the killer.

Its dead by daylight not let's troll the killer.

The devs won't listen to us killers and just be survivor focused like normal.

Ether you lie about playing this game for ages (probably this) or you have a completely wrong perception of this game to a point where it's sad.

DBD is nowdays much, much, much more balanced than before. Some people say it's killer-sided nowdays but in optimal matches with people about as strong as you, you have a really good fight generally. Before the maps where much more likely to be in the favor of the survivors, before you had dh as well as endgame ds and probably a lot more things I already forgot - I play the game since 21 and it's much better.

The things you said would destroy the balancing way too much and require the game as a whole to be reworked. So they will never ever do that if they actually care at all about dbd being balanced.

This game is just going to die and fade, yes it lasted a lot longer then expected but so much has been re hashed, tagged, the perks are so lame since the reident evil chaper. No matter who they keep adding to the chapter sorry a lot arent moist over it, it's meh. Keep adding crap perks that not a lot use or add, this site became a shout and moaners of nerfs and so and the creators trying to scramble to fix what not anyone wishe or wanted. This game, i only come for the mash of perks, cant even do the lights out.

Wow someone saying dbd will die yet again, I've seen that a lot in the last years and weirdly it never happened when someone said that xDDD

  • @Skeleton23 said:

I have a deep feeling that He might get removed from DBD because not because of his nerfs but how the community is around him.

He might have the highest DC rate sense The Skull Marchant. I honestly stopped playing Ghoul because I get 4 man DCs every match which doesn't make him fun to play as either.

Once one bug is fixed a new one Appears and he was nerfed about 4 to 5 times now. If I would say if a Killer needs a Rework or to be put back on the drawing board it's The Ghoul

The final reason I think he might is not the players who try and can't go against him But the survivors who cry about every killer who has and ability that ruins there strategies

There is just that Feeling that He might be getting Discontinued entirely before even a year of him being released

Very unlikely, not a single killer I know was ever given up no matter how over- or underpowered he was. Assuming bhvr continues this they'd simply nerf him to the point of uselessness and rework him entirely, but they probably try to fix him first for a while.

  • @Kapkan said:

I always say GG after every match even when the survivors insult me.

Mostly the reason will be that they didn't win and therefore they are just salty they lost. I personally always write ggs, interessting enough I found some people that think saying "ggs" after a win is to provoke and mock them - the discussions are pretty fun if they want to tell ME that I shouldn't say that because it's not nice even tho I always write that lol. (Interessting enough this doesn't seem to count if they win btw xD)

General rule for is: First comes the "ggs" then the beef, even if I lose brutally and got bullied contantly I do that.

  • @Emeal said:

I swear if BHVR reads this and thinks, "Oh people dont like complicated Killers anymore" Ill be so sad.

Complicated and adding over 30 new powers that will create a balancing mess is something different. Op doesn't want more powers at the same time to give the killer more depth, but basically something like in some games where you can choose between 2 differents paths of abilities.

Also I've seen posts where some people talked about dbd being already hard to learn because of the amount of different powers, that would only get worse because of that.

(Probably unnecessary but nothing against you. I just wanted to make clear that I don't dislike killers being complicated on itself, but I just don't think that's something we should do.)

  • @jellycat said:

Some of the new killers (and redesigned killers) can be quite cumbersome to play because of all of their powers.

It would be cool to be able to choose between 2 play styles for a killer. Currently this is done via add-ons, but it could be a customisation option. I.e. with Freddy you just get more powerful exploding fake pallets OR you get the moving snares (but more powerful). Without having to do this R1 toggling.

It would add some variety. Rather than "oh it's killer X" it would be "oh it's killer X, but will they have power A or B?"

I'm sure some pros will fume at this idea, but the killers are inconsistent. Most of them are 1 button powers, then you've got Vecna and Freddy who you have to juggle controls for.

I'm sorry but having bhvr design a second power AND balance it accordly for every single killer is just unrealistic. It's already hard enough to balance the over 30 (I think we are close to 40 but I don't remember the number) powers with all the addons, perks, items and maps - if we double this it's just getting worse.

Also it would be most likely the case that they still only use one power and that's the better one - it's near impossible that both are exactly the same in terms of strength, and people tend to use the best thing.

i was so hype for the fnaf update but for some reason it doesnt work

Stupid question, but you do know it's a ptb do you? So before you have to change to the testserver - you can do that if you press rightclick at dbd in steam, go in the settings of it, go in the tab for betas I think it is and then choose the public test.

After that it should update to the ptb, if it's not doing that try to restart steam.

yes, i tested them before making the post as they have a similar playstyle of one of my mains (pyramid head). i'm fine with also them keeping it but it is mandatory to make it more visually clear. as i said in another comment the point is the feel of it.

Then sure I'm all for that, I agree that it looks really clunky - sometimes not even nemesis sees the hit xD

  • @MrJack20252 said:

    • What is the Linger Tech?
As the name suggests, the linger tech is a tech that takes advantage of the prolonged persistance on an attack's hitbox to "move" this attack and still hit a target that is not in the initial line of fire.

We mostly see this on Nemesis and sometimes Alien.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TU309XKACAW8/video-senza-titolo-realizzato-con-clipchamp.gif

    • What do i mean with "quality standard" of the game?
It's no secret that BHVR is trying to "fix" the game to retain a possible bigger audience, coming from the FNAF chapter and all the future big chapters of DBD.

BHVR is trying to make the game feels overall better and more polished than a standard indie game (what DBD once was), Dead By Daylight nowdays it's reaching triple A numbers of concurrent players and it's extremely popular on Twitch.

BHVR knowing this, is trying to reach a new standard for the game where people will not see it anymore as an indie game, but as the big game leading the asymmetrical genre, The game that shows the others "how it should be done", to achieve this they need to show that their game is technically in a good state.

    • Why do i think Linger Tech is a problem to what they are trying to achieve?

Linger Tech or "dragging the hitbox of a missed attack" is not something clear, an expert player that does know about this can somehow predicts it (even if in the most cases and tilesets this tech literally removes counter play, punishing the player for a successful dodge) but visually is not clear, the survivor and the killer that witness a correct execution of a linger tech can both see that the attack missed. it feels cheap for both sides, it feels as the game's server lagged or the killer was having connection problems.

this tech creates confusion on how to properly play against the killers that can use it and i believe it does not belong to a well polished game, to what Dead By Daylight is trying to become.

As far as i know this tech has been in the game for about 3 years, i never posted about it because Nemesis was in a bad spot meta wise and the game had much bigger problems before, but now that BHVR is fixing the game, now that BHVR is trying to elevate Dead By Daylight to an higher standard of quality, now i think it's time to talk about this tech.

Linger Tech from the Killer POV:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3McTUIJJCQ

Did you ever play nemesis or xeno without it? Honestly, just make it visually more clear and let it stay in the game - it's so important that you can do that, that they can't simply remove it.

Surely there will be some people that are able to play them without it, but it's laughable how precise you have to be to hit without it for the strength you get in those two.

    Killer

1 - Wesker's hug tech - Wesker is supposed to slightly bump off environment when colliding with it, however with hug tech he can just straight up slide around certain loops, eliminating a big part of his counterplay. I like playing as/vs Wesker but hug tech is unfair and shouldn't be a part of his gameplay

2 - Oni's 180 flick - No longer considered unintended by devs. Regardless, it's both unfun for the survivor, and less skillful for the Oni player to be able to fully turn around to hit a survivor. Restricting it to 90 or even 100 degrees would be more fair

3 - Hillbilly's 180 flick - When Hillbilly uses his LoPro Chains add-on, after breaking a door/pallet, with high enough dpi, he will be able to do a 180 turn possibly leading to some unfair hits. Less impactful after the add-on was nerfed to only injure/deep wound, instead of injure/down, but it definitely should be fixed

4 - Twins bounce tech - There are some spots in various maps that allow Victor to slide over them/to their side, possibly giving unfair injuries/downs to Twins. While an already buggy and unpopular killer, it's definitely something that should be looked into

5 - Various Ghoul techs - Kidnap tech, space Ghoul, etc… There is a couple, and hopefully devs are aware, and working on fixing them

    Survivor

1 - Cj tech - Basically if a survivor is downed in front of a thrown pallet, if a killer attempts to break it, another survivor vaulting it will force the killer to pick up, allowing the survivor to vault back and flashlight save. While rarely successful, it's still annoying, and the fact it happens because you can't separate the keybinds for pallet break/pick up is the true problem. Simply separate pick up and other actions in controls, with both sharing the same key by default, but with the option of rebinding 1 of the 2 to gain more control of your actions

2 - Heal tech - Done at the exit gates by having a survivor heal the downed one, removing the option of picking up that survivor for the killer, and forcing them to hit the survivor, possibly allowing everyone to leave. Simply allow the killer to pick up regardless of the survivors healing to fix this. It also makes sense lore wise, since all killers are already strong or buffed by the entity

3 - Point tech - By pointing or waving, survivors can bypass the downed animation giving them more time to crawl out of gates. How a survivor falls should be determined by the direction of the attack and whether the survivor was moving or not, animations like waving or pointing should be ignored

4 - Flashbang/Head On saves while animation locked - If the killer is grabbing someone entering/exiting a locker, working on a gen, vaulting a window while injured, etc… they can still lose the down because a survivor with a flashbang/Head On is nearby. We have blind protection while grabbing survivors out of lockers (Different from survivors entering/exiting a locker) but otherwise we can lose a survivor due to being unlucky. Give killer a blind/stun immunity during any grab/interrupt action, and extend it for 1 second after the killer can start moving to avoid flashbang/Head On saves right after the animation ends. Here is a link for all actions that can be interrupted -

    https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/Interrupt#Interruptable_Interactions

5 - Shift tech - The game considers you in chase if you have a los on a running survivor, and you remain in chase for 8 seconds once the los is lost. The problem is the way the game detects chase is tied to pressing the run key, which can lead to things like not gaining bloodlust, despite seeing the survivor fast vaulting a pallet for example. This can also lead to windows in some loops not getting blocked during chase

Honestly killers without techs to learn are pretty boring for me because techs are often much harder to pull off and more rewarding than the killer himself, so I prefer them being buggy to some extend. It's also more fun to play against, but you actually have to see it as part of the kit - if people are not able to do this then simply take the tech, make it intended and balance it right (that should already have happened to the hugtech and slides of blight).

Most survivortechs are honestly not really impactfull and I don't see a huge reason to remove them. Especially cj's are often more of a help for me as killer than for the survivors - Just stand on top and wait for your free hit lol. Also it's the same like for killer, techs add to the gameplay and make it more interessting.

I couldn’t even tell you fr this is literally my first time even playing the game and there’s a handful of times where I’ll get put in a match where other survivors will block me in and have the killer get to me or times where the killer is just chasing after me. So I guess it goes both ways

Then try to get used to dbd first. It's a really complex game with a lot to learn before you actually get a consistent playstyle and winrate - the start is really horrible, but at least there's mmr now, so you probably won't get matched against people with thousand of hours like you could before (of course only if it works like it should xD).

Maybe play killer first, then you know what killers can and can't do, that also helps you learning survivor in return.

  • @Solis355 said:

hey new here just wanted to share a opinion but would it be cooler to have maybe weapons like in the chest? I feel survivors have limited objects while killers have all these advantages. It’s still a fun game just an opinion

No thank you, I like dbd because it doesn't have a mechanic to fight back and instead focuses on using the map to your advantage.

Of course everyones opinion is different, but I believe dbd would have a much different vibe to it then, that I and probably a lot more people wouldn't like. In the end I could also play TCM or other similar games with weapons then if I searched for something like that.

What is MMR based on? Is it playtime? Character experience? Or rank? From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t seem to be any of the three. If it’s playtime: I’ve played for around 600 hours, so why am I matched against people with 2800 hours? If it’s character experience: I just bought Ghoul, so there’s no way I have experience with it.If it’s rank: I just returned to the game, and I’m at the lowest rank.Is MMR broken because of 2v8? Or has the MMR system become broken? (I’ve been inactive for about 6–7 months)

As far as I know you have a score:

This score changes if you escape or die, let a survivor escape or kill him.

You as survivor play a game alone against the killer, it only counts if you escape or die and it doesn't care about your teammates at all.

You as killer play 4 different games at once, one against each survivor, yet again it only counts if you kill the survivor or let him escape and it doesn't care about the other ones in this specific game of the survivor.

The amount how much your score changes scales with the duration of the game (I believe between 8 and 15 minutes i've red you get the most, under or above that you lose less or earn less points depending on if you lose or win the game against the opponent) and the mmr of your opponent (if you have basically the same you earn or lose normal amount, if the opponent is above you you lose less and earn more, and if your opponent is below you you earn less and lose normal amount I guess?).

The hatch doesn't give you any score but also doesn't lose you any score.

Also there's a softcap that's pretty low set so everyone reaches it pretty fast, if you reach that you get matched against a high variety of people mostly higher players then you if you first reach it. I believe I've red you need around 3 to 4 loses to cancel out 1 win, so you WILL reach the softcap pretty fast even if it's not you plan.

Those are informations I've red from different people or saw in videos, they are probably not all true and a little bit clunky so yeah, don't take them to serious I guess. It may be a good picture of the system in general, but only bhvr knows it exactly I'd say.

  • @Cribear said:

Killers shouldn't know if a survivor is replaced by a Bot. I just had 2 games in a row where multiple players where replaced by bots and in both cases the Killer decided to take the game hostage and not kill the last bot until he catches me. One of these games lastet 40 minutes until I DC'd. Most Killers can probably find out if someone is a bot, but they shouldn't have help by the game.

"Taking the game hostage" well you're not stuck in a corner, so you're able to progress the gens. It would kill you probably, but that's still no hostage-situation.

Also why would I take the bots first? They are predicable and easy to catch, if I want to kill everyone of course I leave them for last. And yes they are super easy to distinct from players because they move really unnatural xD

40 minutes is maybe a bit long, but in the end the killers as well as you where stuborn enough to play it until then, so I don't know what to say to that other than just try your best or just let them have the kill if it's too long for you. The fault lies mainly in the people that left xD

I played solo queue survivor tonight for 3 hours to get the new survivor's adept and work on the trophies. The only killers I played against were Ghoul, Blight, Nurse, and Billy. I did not play against a single M1 killer. Anyone else have a similar experience?

At least for me m1 killers simply aren't fun. While they have a skillexpression to them in form of macroplay and looping efficiently it is not as fun as learning how to flick with blight, hit dashes with wesker or use the tentacles by ken (the fact you use his ability to hit first and then cancel after that to try to get the hit save him, I know he's m1 technically). Of course I know they all have powers that also give skillexpression, but they don't use it primarly often to get the hits.

It's country specific I think, and it's rather short

The thing is, BHVR said japan law disallow currency to stay forever in games, but nearly every single one of other games in japan has paid currency, yet none of those have any expiration date like that, there must be some misconception

Ah I see. Well I live in germany so I can't imagine it expire here, germany is pretty consumer friendly in general xD

PvP games like Apex legends, gacha games like genshin, PvE/MMO games like warframe, or even steam wallet, all of those things have currency that can be purchased through real money(apex coin, paid jewels, platinum, and "wallet"), but LITERALLY none of those have expiration date like this game has

Maybe something has changed in laws, or BHVR is misunderstanding the way it works, I don't know, but I'm 100% sure auric cell doesn't need to have expiration date if all those other games doesn't need to (unless japan has a law specifically targeted towards a country BHVR is in), so please consider reviewing it again with whatever internal lawyer or something

They have a date on which they expire? How long does this take? Literally didn't see it ever and I'm playing since sometime 2021 xD

My stance is that the blight, ghoul, weskers and etc can traverse the maps in second why do they need the same movement speed as the trapper the nurse doesn’t have it because they have that ability.. a ghoul can bound to you put you in mend and then bound in front of you and within a sec m1 you down because they have the movement speed of a m1 not to mention they can bound thru pallets and windows so yeah having the same movement speed as a killer who’s only power is setting up traps is insane and the fact that I have explain this to you is wild.

Just moving quick around the map doesn't instantly make their normal movement speed too oppressive. People where annoyed by ghoul because he'd break the palette and instantly use his power to jump after you and cut you off, but if you shave his speed down to 4,4 there's even less of a reason to play tiles and therefore just breaking and jumping after you is encouraged.

Most killer with high movement speed in their power have tiles they can't play with it, if you actually make them 4,4 you just encourage them to force situations where the survivor can't do anything, because that's the only tactic that's more or less consistent.

Only reason wesker is able to play most tiles in the game are techs with his power, otherwise he would be a lot less usable in loops, that also means you have to let him his movement speed because he'd otherwise force the palette and instatly bound you into a tree or something.

  • @Dwightyboii said:

Why are most of the Killers base movement speed the same as the trapper?? That legit make zero sense devs……

Because they decided that that should be the basespeed killers should have?

4,6 is the speed where you aren't oppressive but still able to win chases with m1 - I mean imagine nemesis with 4,8 or 5 constantly, he would just be a tank running through every palette and getting you quickly (at least it would be lore accurate) xD

4,4 is reserved for mostly power-only killers or ranged killers. It does still allow to m1 people, but it's a lot harder and encourages you to use your power a lot more to get hits - those killers also have a stronger chasepower in general.

Nurse is with 3,8 the only killer slower than survivors because she's literally supposed to only use her power to get hits.

People in dbd hate inconsistent speeds, so it would be horrible for bhvr to bring in more variation. I personally don't have a problem with it as long as it has clear conditions when it changes. That's what I can tell you now to that topic, but if you'd say what your problem with that is, I could maybe tell you more xD

And being hit through pallets and windows is just as fun, there are 2 sides to this coin sadly.

Hopefully they fix the servers, but if killers can get pallet denial and pallet break perks, we can get an extended stun hitbox on smash hit or another perk.

That's a server issue, not a Smash Hit buff issue. The servers/netcode need improved in general. Not to mention if you've tried going for pallet stuns on survivor side you get a lot of misses which should be hits for the same reason.

I think survivors need more fun and unique abilities which help the casual gameplay more.

Because getting stunned 5 meters away and seeing the survivor zoom 100 meters away is fun xD

I just thought of a way to make smash hit a more enticing exhaustion and a nice option for survivors who want to do pallet stun challenges.

Maybe it could make pallet hitboxes have a shockwave a nice pretty neon one to match Yun-Jins origins of being in the music industry, so it's readable so the killer knows what hit them.

just a fun idea to make this perk more on par with it's sister perks and also give it more flavour to make it fun to use. It would make pallets useful against anti loop killers who try to bait pallets and encourage more interaction/playing around it.

I get stunned not even touching the palette, I can sometimes go at least 20 cm closer before touching the palette after it. I really don't need more of those especially with a sprintburst combined xD

I have several thoughts and ideas about Dead by Daylight, but I am not sure if they are “acceptable” to be considered in the first place. As a player, do you think/feel it is acceptable/kosher/okay if the “corpses” of in-game models were used in killer weapons/powers? I understand that GREAT CARE must be exercised to prevent another Claudette/Leatherface 2.0 situation — but I am curious what people think about the concept and the idea in itself.

I will provide an example, just for the sake of argument. Imagine a killer weapon like this, but it has Meg’s decapitated head at the end. Her head is covered in barbed wire and was badly wounded after death. Would that be acceptable? Or does that cross the line?

I mean we're playing a horrorgame for people over the age of 18 (at least it has that rating in some stores in germany, in many other it doesn't even seem to have one lol. Means in theorie you could play that with 6 xD), because of that I don't see a reason to pretend that dbd has to stay on verge of 16 if even. I see your thoughts about the rasicm part tho, but that shouldn't stop them from using killer-/powerdesigns altogether, regulations regarding this should be harder and that's it.

I would find this weapon really funny to use, maybe the weaponsound could be a distorted bitingsound of the survivor you have as head on the weapon xD

I think he is rare, on the weaker side Killer who needs some help. I think he is so cool and creepy killer but his power is hard againts decent Survivors.

I would love if locked lockers would not work or only half duration during nightfall. Add more lockers on some maps too (helps other killers too).

I mean I agree that the lockers should be looked at because you can't teleport on some maps in some places (it would also be good for trickster and huntress that sometimes have to run into the middle of the map to reload), but outside of that I don't ever feel weak with him, dredge was a killer I was always able to do something with. That being said I'm not a dredge-main, and I'm surely not playing on highest mmr with him, so I can only speak of my experience with him xD

  • I'd give them a fortune for a racoon-killer in general xD

Welche Perknamen meinst?

Not asking for new killer ideas, but what type of killers do you wish we'd see more of?

IE anti loop, mobility, trap, game slow down (think pig traps), stealth ect

Personally I feel like the anti loop killer theme has been overdone a bit. It's been quite a while since we've had some real stealth or game slow down killers.

I just want a chucky with his original speed, slightly higher cooldown than before the nerf. It doesn't even has to have the stealth-ability or height-advantage, I just want this dash as my main-ability in not horrible xD

(As main-abiltity it would need slight buffs probably if you actually take everything except that away)

  • Oh i see, that confuses me even more because bugfixes aren't 1,9gb normally xD

  • @Mr_Digi said:

i like seeing what is changed, and with a 1.9gb patch i kinda expect to see some patch notes. Does anyone know what is changed?

Thought it's the new survivor but it, isn't I'm so confused xD

When I used to play Friday the 13th: The Game, after a match, if a Jason player destroyed the lobby and was wearing bloody skins, many players would insult the playstyle of Jason (similar to the way it goes in this game)

Often times people would point out that by the Killer (Jason) choosing the bloody skins, they were showing off that they were a sweaty or try hard player.

Do any of you feel that way in DBD? For example if you see the Killer is wearing their bloody prestige cosmetic, do you interpret it as a sign the match is going to be miserable as Survivors?

Same question to Killers about Survivors wearing them.

Why should I? Getting a full bloody skin for a specific character is so easy it doesn't say anything about that player.

In general I only say how the match will play out as soon as I see the first chase/chases, but if you want to make a connection to good players and cosmetics, you have to know the people maining those characters. Good weskers often have the police-skin, nurses the black dress and so on.

Survivors are the same: the best example are probably aces with the mad hatter and neas with the sprayer-skin that everyone that wants to play if they are sweating.

My thoughts were at first, that the tentacles have more potential to bug with a different skin and therefore take longer to polish. Behavior probably has more experience with doing male/female skins, which should make the process faster than doing other stuff.

    Viel Erfolg bei deiner Ausbildung.

Dachte mir schon die ganze zeit, dass du vermutlich deutsch kannst, ist aber besser fürs forum english zu sprechen xD

I mean, they have a similar physic than the rest of the tentacles, I assume that wouldn't change much. But yes more objects have a higher chance to bug out xD

You're right I realize now but I thought he was actually somewhere upstairs at the time (he sent the guard from the hall where I ran to at the end of clip but he must have ended up running down stairs instead.

    Very possible xD

  • I mean I'm starting my apprenticeship as salesman for e-commerce with a focus on webdevelopement, but that's not really helpful anyways in this discussion xD

The programming part of that is probably the least work, the modelling of the skin should be a lot more.

(the sentence is supposed to mean "ich beginne meine ausbildung als kaufmann für e-commerce, mit einem focus auf webdevelopement" in german btw - judging on your name that should be better understandable than my horrible translated version.)

Just a little confused about Awakened Anger.

The wording makes it seem like you only have to do it once. Get blinded, hit survivor within 30 seconds. It doesn't state you have to do it 30 times but the tracker to the right says otherwise.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/W9CA5598N4U2/img-9181.png

Meanwhile on PSN, there is no tracker for the achievement (if that's how that works, I'm not sure).

So is it wrong on Steam, wrong on PSN, or exactly as it should be? :D

Seems like they only wrote out the condition and forgot to add the number of times you have to do that. I can't blame them if they only thought about steam because the number of times is besides it, and therefore it isn't nessesarly needed to write it out.

Well they were never really consistent with their writing xD

Probably becuase they have to remodel his tentacles, which would take quite a while.

I mean they had to model a completely new character with rize, so that's not really a good reason for me xD

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: For some reason, the guard's hunt duration only lasted 6 seconds. AFAIK the lowest duration should be 12 seconds

    PLATFORM: PC/EPic

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Unsure, I got seen by a guard and for some reason the hunt lasted a very very short duration. Too short to be useful in any way.

    VIDEO:

    https://youtu.be/vCsaVpjwvNg

    PLAYER LOGS:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5UD2AO6NLMF1/deadbydaylight-egs.log

The chasemusic started, means he has to be near his guard (assuming it isn't bugged) - guards disappear a lot quicker if you're near them as knight, combined with the relatively low duration of the assasin this should be how it's supposed to be although it's really sad to watch xD

Looked it up: the assasin has a standard-duration of 12 seconds, if he's 8 meters near his guard the duration ticks down 3 times as fast. So he got near his guard somewhere after the start of this clip.

  • I was actually surprised that this form of him wasn't a legendary or purple skin on release, I thought it was a no brainer xD

I think the Kaneki nerfs were a little too much. I'm on board with most of them, like the decrease in the leap attack lockon, but some other things probably weren't necesary. For example, Kaneki has no anti-loop, so his power mainly comes from map traversal. WIth that said, I think the nerf to the leap latchon point distance was a tad too much. It could have felt fine to leave his leap distance at 16 meters and then just nerf the handkercheif add-on like you did. I also think the latch on attack was a little overnerfed. The reason I justify this is because Blight still has the highest map traversal and downing potential in comparison to Kaneki. I believe Kaneki, who should be an S-tier killer not an A-tier killer, should be on par with Blight. Especially when Blight can out run Kaneki and Blight has anti-loop pallet breaking powers.

Instead of decreasing it by 96%, you could have done like 85%. Reason being, Kaneki has a tendency to overleap alot, by the time you turn around to try the attack, survivors are already around a corner, literally any corner, making it harder to get that first attack in. Other than that, the nerfs seem pretty fair.

Kaneki has built up a lot of hype. Let's not ruin him like we did with Chucky and almost Alien. Please, just buff the targeting slightly and give us the leap range back in basekit. Leave the add-ons how they are now.

To be honest his nerfs sounded like more than they are.

I only played 3 or 4 rounds since yesterday I admit that, but I didn't feel to weak honestly:

the autoaim-nerf actually enables me to use my leap near people, and it feels pretty good to hit people like this.

The token after breaking a palette is annoying but not to huge of a deal.

The range is pretty okay most of the time even tho it's noticeable obviously.

The duration of enraged is also pretty okay like this.

The things that are worst for me are the token after breaking, and changing the rarity of coffee and umbrella (as well as the new effect). I don't know what to use except coffee and now I tried the (also nerfed) napkin.
