I really love Sadako, but I can't play M1 killers well because I don't think I'm very skilled. During chases, I feel very weak with M1 killers. Even though I can control generators with Oppression, I end up getting looped too much.
I don't have this issue with M2 killers. For example, Wesker helps a lot in this regard. When he grabs and throws survivors, it completely messes up their rhythm. Killers like Nemesis, Blight, Dracula, and Pyramid Head feel very smooth and easy for me.
But I really love Trapper, Sadako, Doctor, and Pig. As I mentioned above, because they're M1-focused, I end up distancing myself from them even though I don't want to.
My build: Nowhere to Hide, Oppression, Unforeseen, Hex: Ruin (if survivors have 4 flashlights, I choose Lightborn or Franklin instead) -

I honestly prefer that the game focused more on m1 killers and abandoned overly complicated killers and then balance around m1 scenarios. Chases would be a lot more fun if killers didn't have an easy "gotcha" ability of sorts, but those m1 killers would need some sort of buffs that can capitalize on beating someone in a loop or mindgame. At the moment, survivors just have way too many second chances for m1 killers to be very viable - even if they managed to down someone, the survivors usually have a pick of ways to cancel out the entire down.
That being said, I'm taking a break from my main (p100 ghostie), but I usually have my pressure by keeping survivors on their toes at all times - trying to have someone on hook at any given moment while also chasing someone else. I don't have time to stop for gens, so I usually only have surge for regression. Everything else is indirect pressure.
Here's a few things that go through my mind when doing ghostie
I use Oppression instead of Surge. I find it more useful.

Seeing 4 survivors with flashlights struggle and stumble after facing Lightborn is truly enjoyable, it's worth picking Lightborn just for that lol :D

They could easily do a vault dweller survivor, the killer power might be kinda tricky to think up.
I think a killer could either be a non-feral ghoul or an extremely gullible super mutant. Ghouls have many reasons to hate Vault Dwellers, while for super mutants, Vault Dwellers could be a tasty meal. But if we’re imagining a more human-like killer whose appearance hasn’t been significantly altered, they would definitely be one of the Enclave's power-armored commanders.

Neutral Evil, it only cares about consuming. It clearly causes suffering purposefully so it can feed off it but I don't think it really cares about ruling or causing chaos. It mostly acts like a very intelligent animal tbh.
But the entity has rules, if the victims have earned their chance to escape, it doesn’t allow the killers to pass through the door. It grants rights to survivors and killers when conditions are met (such as locking generators, closing windows, etc.). It also considers the offerings presented to it. I think this makes it lawful, because a neutral evil character wouldn’t care about any of this.
On the other hand, its focus on its own interests and committing evil acts against everyone makes it, as you said, neutral evil.
I think the Entity has a alignment between Lawful Evil and Neutral Evil.

I don't think that she has special privileges.
From the lore, it felt like Carmina was mostly the project by the Black Vale (cultists who worship the Entity) because they noticed the Entity's interest in her (the crows gathering around Carmina were a sign of the Entity watching her — maybe because of the accumulation of negative emotions around Carmina, the kind that would erupt into something murderous at at somepoint).
However, at the same time, if the Entity wants someone, it has little problems with saying "Yoink!" and teleporting them to its realm. It was more like they hoped to break Carmina, make her snap and do something drastic and make the Entity respond — they remotely succeeded in the end by taking away literally everything Carmina had in her life.
But, it's up to interpretation, whether the control over crows was granted by the Entity or was it part of Carmina's own abilities (since we have mystics like Mikaela and Haddie) amplified by the Entity. I think, it might be the latter because the Black Fog appeared after Carmina summoned the crows.
I particularly use the advantage of "Spies of the Shadows" when I play as the Artist. It’s almost like the Entity is saying, "My spies will cooperate with you." The Entity loves to spy and set up ambushes, often capturing its victims at their most desperate moments. I even recall that Freddy, just when he was cornering and about to kill Quentin, the Entity appeared behind Freddy and attacked both of them (i.e., it captured them). I’m not saying the Entity specifically favors the Artist, but it’s quite meaningful that the Entity’s unique spies are crows, given their abilities. Maybe it’s due to that cult that worships the Entity. Until the Archivist gives us concrete information, these will remain just theories. But damn dude, I love to ponder these things, come up with theories, and enjoy them!

Carmina (The Artist). The Entity cultists really screwed her over from the very beginning, and yet she resisted the Entity's pull even without even knowing it. She is a very strong and defiant character who got brutalized for standing her ground. She deserves justice and I'd really want to help her out because she has always been the one dragging herself out from the dark places.
However, she is probably also the most challenging Killers to rehabilitate because if she is given her sanity back, it might not be for long after she realizes that 1) she has been mutilated and can no longer paint, write poems or even speak, 2) she killed her friends in her last moments. This is mind-shattering.
However, if her inky powers will remain, it might motivate her to keep going — either to learn the secrets behind the realm and Fog (after all, she is a different being now, she might even find it beautiful) or to find a way back to our world, so she could be the vigilante protector of her homeplace or go after the Black Vale (if she feels vengeful). Or, maybe, help her find the alternative realm where she and Mathias are both alive and well, to give her some peace and let her know that somewhere, someplace, she has her little brother and she is happy. Maybe she'd even want to stay there, as their silent protector making sure this Carmina will never have to suffer like she did.
I've always connected the Artist's bond with the crows to The Entity's spies, even though no one really focuses on it, crows are quite powerful. I wonder if The Entity really gave her any special privileges. I'm very curious.

Alright, now I want to ask all of you, what do you think about The Entity's alignment? I think it's Lawful Evil

Wraith. If I recall he was tricked into killing or disposing of people by his boss. I need to check his lore again sry.
Yeah dude, I remember it very well. He had only taken a job to make a living. He had no idea that there were people inside the wrecked vehicles.

I used to get really angry at players who played very selfishly, as mentioned in the game's Steam description, I don't play survivor much anymore. Whenever I rescue someone, another person goes down and gets hooked at the same time, and when I go to rescue them, yet another person gets hooked, and this cycle repeats until the game ends. I haven't even touched a generator. The funny thing is that most of the time, when I get hooked for the first time, they just hide like cowards and let me go to the second stage.
For the killer side:
The new rank system is really terrible. I just started playing as a killer, and I’ve already reached red rank. Is this a joke? What is this MMR? Dude, just a few days ago, I was asking for advice on which killer to start with. Okay, I don't camp or tunnel, but I’m not playing that well either, this is nonsense. It shouldn’t be this easy. I really miss the old rank system, where it wasn’t this easy to reach red rank. -

hillbilly :( i know hes not exactly an innocent angel or anything, but i feel so bad for him and how he was treated. his tome cutscenes are genuinely hard to watch...his entire life was just so horribly messed up, and even though his actions are inexcusable, i feel a lot of empathy for him.
honestly im not sure how exactly to end his suffering, other than literally just erasing his memories... after that i guess he could become a survivor or just lurk around the void idk :') im not entirely certain how to answer that one at the moment. what i do know is...i wanna give him a big ol hug, let him know he's not alone and be a good friend to him (im built different so he totally wont just kill me anyway trust me)
That's a very nice approach. I'm not as knowledgeable about the killer's story as you are, but if I remember correctly, he was traumatized because of his appearance, right?
-
Recommendations have been in favor of Wraith, but I tried The Pig. It seems very simple for a beginner, you can't be detected while crouched, and it makes for some great ambushes. The Unforeseen perk has been very useful, when it triggers i'm walking around, and when it ends, I crouch.
So why is it played less? Is it bad in higher ranks?

Play survivor to get better at loops, killers who have a mindset of a survivor usually can predict stuff much easier.
And as for killers, use killers with m2 abilities if you want the highest kill death ratio, but use m1 killers if you want a more fundamental understanding of loops
use gen regression for meta(strongly go against it) lr use more fun interactive perks that cater to your gamestyle! Like a stealth/exposed build perk with a stealth killer

I’m using the Unforeseen perk, and it’s really fun. I catch my victims off guard while they think I’m somewhere else. Yes, I never want to play with tryhard meta perks.

Yeah Wraith and Trapper both have powers that are easy to use and understand. You can use your knowledge as a more seasoned surv to help ya, but as others have said best thing is to get in there and play.
I played Trapper, and by the time I placed the traps in the suggested locations, 3 generators were repaired. The MMR system in this game is quite strange. I don't understand how a new killer can end up facing tryhard survivors

I've read a lot of great comments, and yes, many of them are really frustrating. Now it’s time for me to tell you about my least favorite killers. I don’t enjoy playing against two characters in particular. The first is Myers, and the other is Hag, and my dislike is entirely due to their addons. Myers can use unlimited level 3 to insta-mori, which ruins the game. For Hag, there’s an addon where you can’t tell that her traps have been triggered and there’s no muddy decoy of Hag appearing, which makes her feel like she’s cheating.I dislike these two characters for this reason, and if possible, these addons should be changed.

Doctor is annoying but that's tempered with the fact he's fun to play. I really like playing against Nurse and Artist unless they're much better at their role than I am as survivor (which, to be fair, it isn't that hard to be a better Killer than I am Survivor) but that's more match making than anything as a Killer.
It's not really any Killers that I find annoying as much as it's any Killer who tunnels or slugs for the 4K. Win or lose if it's spreading hooks in the game it's normally a fun game. Tunnelling and slugging for the 4K means the game is a slog win or lose.
Doctor truly has a death machine in the pro hands, due to the electric shocks he gives, it becomes impossible to loop, especially if he's using bamboozle.

i see the suggestion, but as far as i know how nowhere to hide works is it just shows auras near killer when they kick a gen so it doesn't have anything to do with affected gens. also no, that buff would be a bit much especially paired with eruption.
OMG, sorry, i misunderstood it. I thought it referred to the area around the damaged generators. Now that I’ve read it again, I see it actually refers to the area around the killer. I apologize for missing that

First of all, thank you very much for your comments; indeed, the situation in our country is really bad. In recent times, there's a phrase frequently used in our country: 'Geography is destiny.' I also understand Behaviour Interactive, and I don't really have the right to be angry with them, because like everyone else, they also incur expenses in dollars. They cover server costs, employee salaries, electricity bills, etc., all in dollars, and understandably, they can't do much with a currency that is 31 times less valuable than the dollar. But we are also right, my friends. In many games, prices have been fixed to the dollar either due to the company's greed for more profit or as a result of players using VPNs to connect to our country and making purchases using our currency, which has led to abuse. Just the other day, Steam removed its support for our currency and forced us to pay in dollars. We need to work 12 hours a day to earn $18, and naturally, we're not happy with the jobs because we're not earning fairly, and we're not treated fairly at work. At least, our purchasing power should have been fair when buying in-game content. I'm really tired of playing 'default' in every game. With one day's earnings, you can buy 2,250 Auric Cells plus 500 more, but when there are daily needs to be met, I can't afford to spend this amount on the game. Even if I did, it wouldn't mean much.
I truly loved the game, and I still do. But it hurts my pride to know that while everyone else can buy and enjoy the new content, I can only watch them sadly. That's why I'm not considering returning. I know this issue won't even come to the attention of the company, but at least our dear moderator has moved the topic to another category, and for that, I'm grateful.

Memory Of Alessa, best skin idea for Legion

I love the idea, more customization and more money for the devs (when buying with auric cells), its a win, win.
It also would make the gameplay around moris a bit more fun, watching the same animation over and over again gets a bit tiring.
The mori animations of the older characters (Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Hillbilly, etc.) have become quite outdated, and they are not as dynamic as the mori animations of the newer characters. I believe that there should be some changes for them as well.

We need killer type killers, not Legion type killers.
The supernatural, unrelenting type of killers are the fun ones. This game doesn't need more human-like killers that just have a tiny personality twist.
Trickster, Legion, and the one and only Skull Merchant all lack creativity in both design and lore.
We need more killers like Dredge, Blight, Nurse, Wraith etc.
Thank you for your comment, I respect your opinion but we think completely differently. On the contrary, I believe that more humanoid killers should come because the characters you mentioned have become more like monsters than killers.

Making the Entity itself a killer would greatly take away from the unknowable that makes it what it is.
If it’s a killer, it gets a power. And because this is a game with two sides, that power has to have its limits. Limits that can be identified, understood, and played around. At that point, the fantasy of the unknowable eldritch being is… just gone.
We are being watched by his spy crows while we talk about him :D

The entity is already in the game. They’re a master shapeshifter indistinguishable from those it copies. It loves to take part in the trials as a survivor in order to inflict maximum misery. Every time you see a useless survivor teammate, it’s the entity trying to fill you with despair. Every time a killer goes against a Claudette that they can’t catch, they’re actually going against the entity.
Poetic approach :O
