Why do people feel the need to run full meta on already busted killers?

Genuine question, why do people that run S tiers or very high A tier killers always run full meta? I don’t know the last time I seen a blight, nurse, Billy, spirit or Dracula not running pain res, grim, and either pop, eruption or surge with 1 info perk. You’re already playing a killer that can stomp majority of the matches they load into and bring stacked regression is just overkill. I just went against a very good spirit that was running blood favor, undying, pain res and grim and we only got 2 gens done before her first kill and she was spreading hooks evenly. She had 5 hook stages by the time she got her 4th stack of grim and we were still at 4 gens left. It’s just overwhelming the amount of pressure they can cause and if you’re not a very coordinated swf or very good solo q with good game sense you are almost guaranteed to lose the match. This also goes the same for survivors. If you’re already a good survivor, why do you need to stack second chance perks and bring stacked items and add-ons into the trial? It just makes no sense why we can’t just run chill fun builds without one side or both just steam rolling the match because they were over prepared and brought full meta.

  • Because even with full meta on a strong killer has an incredibly hard time against a full SWF with stacked OTRs.

Also Nurse can't use half of the perks in the game since they changed her blink attack to be a M2.

  • Agi, Lethal, Floods, Pain res usually does the trick on nurse.

Goes the same for survivor? Are you talking to single player survivors and asking why they run specific perks or …. ?

SoloQ, regardless of the killer you are facing, or perks missing on the killer/on the killer, perks ran by the "team",

Will lose most of their matches. And the game keeps doing everything it can to make it worse each patch, including this next one!

Edit: Regardless of your personal skill in SoloQ as well, as seen by people who play this as a career, lose most of their matches.

    edit 2:

Also Nurse can't use half of the perks in the game since they changed her blink attack to be a M2.

OP talking about meta perks and pretty much all of them can be used on nurse.

I mean if you're actually good at the game you ether want to run full meta or meme builds. Most people like winning and get better because of that, so they choose meta builds - just because they could run meme builds and win relatively often, that doesn't mean that's their focus.

Also the end sentance pretty much reasons it: you never know what the other side brings. So if you're playing a meme build and your opponents full meta you'll probably lose - the solution is that you bring meta builds yourself and if you need it you have it and if you don't you still won. (Of course this requires you to have the desire to win, if you don't other people with this logic will probably make you lose)

I personally am I thing in the middle:

I use pop, bbq, brutal and bamboozle most of the time and therefore a okay build with chasefocus. I tunnel, camp and slug if you give me the chance but I mostly don't force it.
