People want tokens so they rush to the gen and get them done asap.How does this differ from when there isn’t an event? You just keep proving my point over, and over, again.

Regarding at least the deranking part, doing so is almost definitely going to land them in a DC ban wave. The penalties for excessive disconnecting were just massively increased (from 1d > 2d > 1w > permanent to 1w > 2w > 4w > permanent). So you should see much less deranking going forward.As I stated in another thread, they don’t need to DC to depip with this event. The event itself is allowing everyone to depip very easily, as no one starts any objectives until it’s too late. No gens get done, everyone gets hooked, and is dead. The games are so fast that I wonder if the killer is even pipping.

@AChaoticKiller said:
I actually disagree, if they did this gen rushing would be more common...You obviously have not been playing very long. All of the previous events have not had this issue, so your statement is proven false.

again the thing that drives survivors is bloodpoints so this would work. I do not know a single survivor who would literally willingly pass up an opportunity to get a 100% bloodpoints boost in a match. unless they was absolutely getting destroyed in the match. and if offerings and perks also stacked with this boost yea not a single survivor would pass it up.You must have failed econ, as there is no way in hell they would allow a +100% BP bonus across the board, unless of course, they dropped the current BP to 50% of what it currently is. Either that, or they double the cost of the items on the BloodWeb. This whole event has proved that it won’t work as long as it is an incentive.
-
@nemeios if in the past you were getting fast vaults from an angle, that was a bug, as you never should have gotten them. There were cases when someone would hit a window or pallet at 90 degrees and they would get a medium vault. This fix was designed to fix both issues, and it appears that it has.

Survivors being dumb is not a valid argument sorry, I know the game is tailored to casuals but balance should never be done with casuals in mind but with the best of the best, fun is secondary when it comes to balancing.You want ot know what is so nice about this statement? The devs wholeheartedly disagree with your position. The devs want the game to be fun for evevryone, and from a buisness standpoint, the majority gets more than a minority. No one is ignored, and no one group is favored in such a way that it hurts another. That is balance.

I think this is hillarious, I have not changed my play style at all since I started playing the game on the PS4 almost a year ago. The only thing that has changed is that I have gotten better at it. I get to Rank 1, while some of the people that I play with quite often, are struggling. I never play toxic, and I have a blast playing as Hag much of the time.
if you are having trouble with the game now, then were you really a good player? Or were you just good at using mechanics that were never intended to be used in the way that you were using them? I deplore cheaters, so I have no sympathy for those who are now all of a sudden having trouble. Maybe I should use a quote that many of you have been so kind to use against others, “Learn 2 play!” -
Here you go, all dev streams and other content are available on their YouTube channel:
-
You state something that you think the devs want, but have you ever watched a dev stream? From your statement above, I'm fairly certain that you haven't.
-
@Divinitye9 it very definitely is your Internet connection; however, that doesn't mean that it is bad. As others have stated, when you are killer, you are the host. Every survivor is sending you telemetry, and you are sending telemetry to every survivor. That is a lot of data for a connection that may already be overtaxed due to video streaming. In fact, many "so-called" streamers cause this lagg themselves, due to their upload stream.
FYI, 99.999% of the people on the Internet have an asymmetrical connection, meaning that their upload BW is a fraction of their download BW. If either BW limitation is exceeded, packet loss occurs, which has the EXACT same effect that lagg switching does. You seem to be one of the rare players who gives a rats ass, and would like to fix it, if you can. Here are some options:
- For now, don't stream any videos, download files, etc., while you are playing killer. And be aware that if you do this as survivor, you will not have a good experience either.
- Contact your ISP to see if you can increase both the upload and download BW of your connection. Be aware that a single HD stream requires ~9.6Mb/sec download, and as much as 10% of that for upload.
- Switch to a different ISP, which is not always an option.
Best of luck!

first. I MAIN KILLER but the waiting time in the looby is soooo boring....
i dont care if the survrs are OP, i think they need a big buff with publicity. With this, all wanna play survs , and we never play the lobby simulator again.sYou do know that the lobby simulator is the result of a bug in the matchmaking process, right? There is absolutely no shortage of survivors. If you are on the PS4, and as killer, just view who you are playing with using the PS4 quick menu. You will see that there are 4-6 players that you are playing with, even though you will only see 1-3 in the lobby, which is the bug. For some unknown reason that BHVR hasn't figured out yet, those players are unable to join your lobby, and the matchmaking server will continue to send a never ending list of players to you.
-
@Dabrownman1812 the if in question, most likely refers to whether or not they can pull off the design and coding. It is very definitely not a licensed killer.
-
The killer can always block survivors from exiting the basement, and you are correct that only certain basement spawns can also prevent entry. As for body blocking, there is only one type of body blocking that is reportable. That is when one survivor intentionally blocks another survivor from running away, allowing the killer to catch the blocked survivor. It must be intentional though, and you must be able to prove that it was.

I'm sure it doesn't matter. Why can't i have my victory if i downed all of you?Why do you think that downing everyone is a victory? It very definitely is not. It could lead to your definition of victory, but not always. The simple fact that you didn’t get the 4k is proof of that. If a survivor wants to sacrifice themself to allow a teammate to get the hatch, AWESOME! They did their job, and you did yours. A 4k is just icing on the cake. Sometimes to get them, sometimes you don’t.
The game is designed around an average of 2 kills per match. Neither survivors, or killers, are entitled to anymore than that. If you buck the average, good for you, but that doesn’t entitle you to anything.
-
@M2Fream said:
Ive been playing the game for 2 years. Im not new. The fact that you think the hatch is balanced...Your last post tells all. < hysterically laughing at the 2 years statement >
Where did I make such a statement about the hatch? FYI, saying “The hatch is not the issue...”, in no way infers what you are stating.
Your posts are nothing more than troll posts, and I don’t feed trolls.
-
I'm going to be very nice here, as I can tell that you are a noobie. Just telling you to learn to play would not help you. You should watch some YouTube videos from well known players, and of course the dev stream videos. If you are such a try hard that you absolutely must have that 4th kill every single time, why do you hook that 3rd person before you find the 4th? For YOU, if you left the 3rd person slugged, guess what? The hatch doesn't spawn. I know that this is probably blowing your mind, but you have a lot to learn.
The hatch is not the issue, it is the end game as a whole, which the devs are fully aware of and are working to rectify. If you were to watch the dev streams for the past 3 months, you would know that, and you would know what they are looking at. They have decided to not make any changes to the hatch, especially closing it. During their testing of the closing of the hatch, they learned that it placed such an extreme burden on the survivor that it was virtually impossible to reopen, so they said that it is not going to happen. Watch the streams, YouTube videos, perhaps some Twitch streams, and learn.
@M2Fream said:
1k to 4k should be linear. 1k to 3k is linear...WRONG! No part of the above statement is in any way accurate. Again, you are a noobie, and you obviously are still learning the mechanics of the game. Learn the mechanics completely, not just the extremely small subset that you currently know, and you'll have a better experience.
-
If the last survivor gets the hatch, good for them. Hell, I’ll walk a survivor to it, if I think they played well. This proposed change is beyond ridiculous, and fortunately will never see the light of day (yes, a pun). The changes that the devs have been talking about are fair, end the hatch stand-off issue, and end the ability of survivors to take the game hostage.
-
Possible reasons:
- They are carrying an item that they don’t want to lose.
- They want to deny the killer BP.
- They want the killer to de-pip.
- They want the other survivors to lose.
- The want to de-pip (updated per Chi
) - They are just being an ass.
It could be for any reason, and DCing does not mean that you don’t get your BP.

Psn really only bans for the worst of the worst. Xbox is much stricter. Also if you get a quick response on psn nothing is happening because it was flagged as not serious. If it takes a couple days it is actually being reviewed.That's not accurate. If you send me a hate message, and I report it, in less than 60 minutes SIE Moderation will remove the lines from the chat group, and ban the person who wrote them.
-
Can we get a volume control for the music in the game? The chase music when playing as killer is so loud now, that it is almost impossible to hear anything else, like players running or grunting.
-
Nice try, but your Spirit addons don't match. You screwed up the edit. The addons that you entered the match with don't match the addons at the end. Also, when you left the scoreboard, it would not have made you trapper. This was a very good troll, but next time try paying closer attention to the details.
P.S. No one would have exited the match prior to the match starting (players not loaded bottom left), unless they were trying to hide something.

Excuse me, did ANYONE ever got banned in DBD?
Harassment and hate speech is literally part of the game. I am quite sure that some fellow killer mains on console can literally deliver you books of harassment via the psn messengerSend me a message that violates PSN's rules, and you'll see just how fast you get a permanent PSN ban. The usual response time is under 60 minutes.
-
Hag, as I luv her traps and I luv to scare the freakin' hell out of survivors.

I also play Trapper, Pig, and Myers very well. Any guess on what I'll be playing on Halloween?
-
The hatch can spawn anywhere on the base floor, or basements of buildings, but not in the killer basement.
-
That is not hacking. You should have read the addons. There is an addon for infinite tier 3 (the ultra rare), and one to considerably increase the rate at which you earn evil (the rare).

@DeadByFlashlight I am not sure what you are asking for. The definition of parties is just standard contract law terms, and is based on a reference point. If you want to read the PSN EULA, you can find it very easily. There are multiple contracts in effect.
-
@DeadByFlashlight said:
So BHVR is a 3rd party? Good to know..... but then you cant have BHVR software running on PC while playing DBD or you violate the TOS, oh wait.....We are talking about PS4 here, not PC. Sony/PSN is the first party, the account holder is the 2nd party, and the publisher is the 3rd party. On PC, BHVR is not a 3rd party to itself.
-
@Delfador so, I guess you’ve never let the killer know that they’ve won, and then the killer takes you to the hatch? I’ve had that happen several times to me, and I will sometimes do the same if the survivors have played well. I can tell you that I have never let a tea bagger go. I prefer to take the chance and give the killer a thumbs up, but I guess that’s just me.
-
@Eninya unlucky on your part. I used to only run Hex: Ruin, but now I’m liking the toxic hex build. If you run 2 or more Hexes, Hex: Haunted Ground should be one of them.
-
@Judgement said:
Because if it was lag, Survivors would be teleported back to where they were when the lag-switch was activated.That is only one possible result of lagg switching. It depends upon what event occurred, and what telemetry your system actually receives.
-
There are multiple methods of lagg switching, of which I won’t go into detail. The most popular method right now can be done by anyone, and is fairly rampant. Simply downloading huge amounts of data while playing the game will overload your bandwidth, and has the exact same effect. If it only happens while you are near the killer, here are the 4 possible reasons why:
- The killer is using WiFi.
- The killer has a crappy Internet connection or slow connection. This includes streaming.
- The killer is using the method described above.
- The killer is using some other form of lagg switching.
-
Try running, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, Hex: Ruin, Hex: Devour Hope, and Hex: Hallowed Grounds, all at the same time.
You are welcome!

The daft one would be you since they'e said they can't do bans on PS4 right now which is why they're trying to come to an agreement with Sony on it.If you actually knew what you were talking about then you'd know sony doesn't just allow anyone to ban on their network without permission. Also BHVR doesn't see the id of the person connecting, only that yes they have a valid license from Sony's side.
To ban they'd have to know the PS4 user id which Sony doesn't hand out like candy to any game developer due to privacy laws without you guess it a legal agreement..
This is partially accurate. Do 3rd party game servers get your console ID? No, but they do get a unique ID for your account that is also unique to their server. Different 3rd parties will get different unique IDs for the exact same PSN account. Only PSN has the ability to map the 3rd party ID number to a PSN account username. So, the 3rd parties can easily ban the user ID that they are given from using their servers, but the user could easily create an alias PSN account and start over, using the PS Plus of the purchasing PSN account.
P.S. While this banning is possible on the 3rd party servers, it might be a violation of their agreement with PSN, thus the reason they don’t currently do it.
