The servers have been flakey for about 3 hours, and died almost completely about an hour ago.
-
Didn’t they state in the last dev stream that they already have the intention of hiding all of the killer’s perks and addons until the match has ended?

The Curtain Call DLC is now purchasable in the PSN Store, but after you purchase it, both Kate and the Clown are still locked. Even after trying a reboot of my PS4.
UPDATE: After a 2nd reboot, it works.

Allowing killers to opt out SWF will make every killer opt out of SWF and that will make SWF people leave the game because they cant find matches and simply dont have fun solo in this game and thats not what the dev want.That is a flawed way of thinking. Killers can, and do, opt-out of matches right now yet SWF matches are being played. When a killer currently opts-out of a match, the survivors need to recreate their SWF group and try again. This can take upwards of 30 minutes to get a group. The ONLY reason killer’s opt-out is because they have no interest in toxic SWF depip-squads. Remove that as a possibility, and killers will be more than happy to play. Besides, ranking up/down with a SWF group has absolutely no meaning at all.

So having fun with a friend automatically means im bullying someone else? Get over yourself. If I want to play single player games I'll play on a console relaxed on a couch. This is a (co-op) multiplayer game.I’m surprised that you would even ask this. For some it does mean this, and for others it doesn’t. Because of this one question and your statements, I doubt that you play killer very much, if at all. With the way that BHVR is balancing the game, it does not make any sense to allow players to rank up/down while in comms matches. If the game had comms built-in for the survivors, then they would be balancing it with that in mind, but they are not. Therefore, any matches that could involve comms, should not be included in ranking.
P.S. If a killer is getting bullied by multiple toxic squads, he/she has every right to not play with such squads. And in doing so, those squads get penalized for being toxic by getting fewer matches. If you are not for this, then you are definitely a part of the currently broken toxic system.

@JusticeZERO I would not be opposed to Double bloodpoints for the killer, but I doubt that BHVR would implement it, as it would be extremely easy to abuse. It would be AWESOME to have though.

@Tizzle by removing the rank reward/penalty from SWF, along with the other options, why wouldn’t a killer want to participate? In the current state, killers will continue to dodge SWF lobbies until they get one without a SWF group, which means that the SWF group will have to requeue multiple times. The ranking system is designed for a single mode of play, and the devs have already stated that they are designing the perks around solo players, so the current rank is only valid in a solo player scenario. They could create another rank for SWF, but it wouldn’t have any meaning from a statistical POV.

Or just introduce casual and ranked mode like any other Competitive game, don't allow SWF in rankedI thought about that a lot, but kept coming back to, is there really such a thing as a casual player in a PvP setting? Sure, there are people who don’t have hundreds of hours a month to spend playing games, but they still play competitively. My proposal has an additional plus side. Once you have reached the rank that you are comfortable playing at, you can stop playing solo only (ranked) matches. Just switch to SWF only matches and play others at that rank, or let the matchmaking system mix it up for you.
When rank is completely removed as a reward/penalty it allows players to compete, but not become overly invested in the win or loss. It comes down to having fun and getting as many blood points as you can. Some of my favorite matches as killer were where I picked up the last dying survivor and carried them to hatch. I can see chases lasting much longer, as both killers and survivors will want to hone their skills. It won’t change anything about the Toxic Fortnite children, but there really isn’t anything to be done with them, unless strict rules are created and enforced. The bottom line is to ENJOY THE FOG!

As others have said, on the surface this sounds like an awesome idea, but when you get down to the mechanics, it would be almost impossible to implement. Additionally, the maps would have to be greatly expanded; otherwise, the survivors wouldn’t have any chance at all.
However, the idea of changing SWF to match by rank and to turn off the emblem/ranking system for the match, has merit. Offering only bloodpoints and experience seems right. The only down side might be if there aren’t enough killers willing to partitcipate, and the wait times could be very long. It might be strange for single players to enter via SWF, but you can do that now, so it would just be a training thing. The killer should have the option of playing only with solo players, only with SWF groups, or randomly be matched with either based on the current matchmaking server loads. This wouldn’t require very many changes to the code at all.

@powerbats you can keep posting incorrect information, and putting words into my mouth, but that doesn’t change the facts. Have fun in your own world. It’s time for me to stop feeding this troll.
P.S. The simple fact that you deleted the content that I responded to, should be proof enough to everyone that you are knowingly making false statements.

Did you even read what you typed or not because this was all submitted to Sony back on the 12th as has already been agreed upon.This is not a true statement. They submitted the code for certification, multiple times due to certifications failures, and this has nothing at all to do with the PlayStation Store entries or indexing.
@powerbats said:
Now since Sony then decided at the last minute that it was going to be store only aka everything was dlc that'd mean that it's Sony fault for including in the store only.Again, this is a false statement. This is not their first time publishing DLC on the store, so it is on them for not submitting to the store until after the certification passed. The DLC is nothing more than activation codes/keys. It is NOT runtime code that needs to be certified. The runtime code is part of what was certified, as everyone downloads ALL code, not just what they paid for.
The rest of your statements are based on false facts that you came up with, so there is nothing else to respond to.

@powerbats trying reading my post again, slowly. Take your time, read it again, and yet again. Then read the statement that you so kindly provided. Read it a few times until you comprehend what it says. Then go back and read what you have posted. If you still don’t understand, start over.
Have a great day!

Have you looked in the mirror, BHVR submitted the entire thing to Sony for certification, since Sony considers the dlc and cosmetics dlc they're being delayed unlike Microsoft which didn't and so they came out with the patch. Go read what's been posted since obviously you haven't done any of what you're accusing other of being brain dead for.Now since Sony has decided to release it in 2 separate waves for EU and NA unike Microsoft that managed to turn it on worldwide. This would mean that it's Sony's fault and no BHVR because again Sony considered it all dlc.
I'll leave to @Lowbei 's tender mercies since you obviously need some serious help or better yet wheres @DocOctober with his usual Doctor meme?
Thank you for validating everything that I said, and proving that you are one of the brain dead. I doubt that you even know what you said above, as you obviously don’t know anything about how the PlayStation Store process works. Great Job!

It’s PDT and EDT, not PST and EST. If you are on Standard Time (ST), the times will be1 hour earlier.

Uh, no LOL.July 5th 23:59 goes to July 6th 00:00.
Midnight (24:00) July 5th, is equal to 00:00 July 6th computer time. 00:00 is used by computers due to it being easier to calculate with, but it is not a valid time of day. It’s easy to tell when someone spends too much time on Wikipedia, which has inaccurate information.

Is everyone on this thread brain dead?
Bloodpoints can’t be used to buy cosmetics or DLCs. Bloodpoints are SOLEY used by the Bloodweb to level up your character, and NOTHING else. The new Auric Cells, along with the repurposed Iridescent Shards, are SOLEY used to buy items from the in-game store, and NOTHING else. Auric Cells are DLC items just like Curtain Call is. ALL new DLCs are being delayed due to BHVR not submitting them to the PlayStation Store until now. They could have easily submitted the items for inclusion in the store as hidden items a month ago, but they didn’t. This creates a catch-22 as the blood points can’t be used to level up the Clown or Kate.
Also, double bloodpoints doesn’t require a patch of any kind. Double bloodpoints is a server setting, which is on the matchmaking servers. If you’re going to post information, at least get your information correct.

It makes sense that the hatch must be openThat's because you've never seen a standoff. If the location of the hatch is known before it opens, the standoff can begin before it opens.

@Kuris said:
How did Behaviour previously define it in a way that it conflicted?Behaviour's definition in no way states that the hatch much be open, as the standoff begins the moment that the hatch becomes the only viable method of exit. One mistake, and the other player loses the standoff.

What was wrong with the Hatch Stand Off Rule?It is subjective, which allowed the people running the tournament to interpret the rule in a way that conflicts with what Bevaviour has previously defined.

Okay so about every game of killer I play at the end people keep complaining that I'm lag switching. I have 24mbps down and 1mbps up. I have ADSL2 internet. Is this good enough to play as killer without having others lagging? When I play survivor I have no problems what so ever unless the killers ping is over 150.1Mb is enough, but there would not be any leeway. As killer, you are sending telemetry to the other 4 players at a constant rate, as well as receiving telemetry from them. If anyone else on your Internet is using it, then your upload stream will be overtaxed, which has the exact same effect as lagg switching. This is detected in all of the clients, including yours, and sent to Behavior for later analysis. If it happens to many times, you will get a soft ban, or a warning at the very least.

Anyone who thinks camping is not an IMPORTANT game mechanic does not understand the game. There are several mechanics built into the game specifically for camping. The wraith’s invisibility is one, Insidious is another, the Hag’s trap teleportation is another, etc. Instead of complaining about it with the rest of the 4%’ers, join the 96% who figure out ways to work-around it. Worst case, 1 survivor dies and everyone else gets out, if you play it right. Play it wrong and all survivors die. The most common reason for dying to a camper is greed. Being so greedy that you must get the save points, isn’t healthy for survivors.
P.S. Camping does have a downside, if done improperly. It’s up to the killer to know when to camp, and when not to. During the end-game, any killer who doesn’t camp is just playing foolishly.
