Yeah been stuck at gold 2 this month.. I have tried though and everytime i get close to gold 1 i depip back to 0.
Love the SBMM just freaking love it.
Ironically, it sounds like the SBMM system is giving you the correct matches. I had the exact same problem last month, the games felt fair and I was averaging around 2 kills per match, which equated to averaging around a black pip every match too. I was stuck on Gold IV for a week, every pip was matched by a depip. (I'm too stubborn to change my playstyle to maximize emblems.)

If you are doing your job properly (and if the facecamping killer is too), you should both expect 2 out with 2 dead.

I know, you are right. I try to play on my laptop, and just get so frustrated because I am ######### with the controls. It is hard to play a game that you are decent at, with controls that you are a noob to. So , I always return to my PS4, but, perhaps, someday.
You know you can just plug your Playstation controller into your PC right?

Good point these killers man blaming everyone else except themselves for losing. Survivors at least lose with a quiet dignity and elegance befitting of the highest breed. Killers these days are the worst gotta say it.
I would call this a sarcasm sandwich. Two reasonably sensible sounding slices of bread sentences at the start and end with a lovely peanut putter and cheese filling that makes us all scratch our heads with wonder.

Why make a big deal about cheating when both sides can benefit from it? That's pretty much what you are asking in your title.
If this was the olympics and we were doing the 400m sprint, and I'm sat here next to you on the starting line revving my motorbike. You could say I was cheating. But you could have brought a motorbike too. So it's fine.

If you want to counter Dead Hard use Exposed or killers who can down survivors in one hit. Use add-ons or perks that inflict exhausted. It's run so much that it should be expected on every single survivor. If you haven't adapted to it by now in some capacity then you need to start now.
Both sides are allowed to have powerful perks. Idk I just really see nothing wrong with it. Yeah it sucks when they use it to get to a pallet and extend a chase but that's what it's for.
If you have to argue a point with "just use x killer or x perk" then there is a problem.

I'm jealous.
Blight, Blight, Blight, Blight, Blight, Blight.

I didn't enjoy it either. I think my problem was I never really used the parrying system.
If you haven't played Cuphead before, you should try it.

I really hope they don't make the game too easy or add an easy mode.
I know, wouldn't it be awful if they added a mode to make the game more accessible so everyone could enjoy it.
-
I like them as they are other than I'd prefer them not to give any additional benefit when in a Boon:CoH zone.
-
Terrible idea.
Turn it off forever.

Pyramid Head. Can't eat so the bill is lower and his arms look perfect for a cuddle
You'd go on that date but you'd be thinking about pre-butt nerf Pyramid-Head.
Sadako is non-corporeal so she wouldn't eat anything on a date (assuming she is old enough to date, I have no idea).

For some reason Autohaven on PC is really dark and on console it is fine. Although I do have to shut my curtains. I hope that isn't bannable.

i hate it here
If you think asking for a belly button is bad, people here also ask for entirely topless male characters.
That would be paying for a cosmetic that was actually no cosmetic.

Haddonfield rework might be little more than a graphical update set in broad daylight with breakable walls so I wouldn't count that as a new map. It also doesn't increase the map count as the old one has been removed. We also lost my favourite map very recently.
The thing I looked forward to the most on new chapters was always the map. I hope on the next anniversary they commit to a new map every chapter, like in the old days.

Im sure those people who say they only lost to stretch rez will find something else to explain how they got outplayed.
Anybody that lost to someone using stretched res was not outplayed. Their opponent was cheating.
If you needed to use stretched res to win, you probably won't win now. So we won't need to make excuses.

A really helpful post, thank you. I'm surprised you didn't go with, "I played the PTB so you don't have to".
On another note, isn 't it a shame the Mori camera angle doesn't show the Ringu death face? You only really get to see it when you teabag the victim:
-
I loved it! Usually every event has those complaining about something but this had very little to complain about.
I appreciated the free cosmetics and I liked that they were generous with the bloodpoints. As killer I also appreciated survivors not immediately jumping on gens and the clue as where they were located.
-
Playing SWF is worse as you will win all your matches and then have to play against Blight every game.
-
A separate game mode would be good for this with a team of ideally non-bhvr people who just enable/disable the most unsuitable perks and addons as requsted by the comp community. As long as there was a consensus on which should be used and unused it could work out quite well. I just don't know how the team would get that consensus.
Alternately, a code could be generated based on what has been disabled and then anyone in a tournament could just type the code in or paste in in a game folder to get the same settings as the designer of the tournament.
I'm enjoying the Swish tournament.

What if you run more than one Boon perk?
I guess you could make one red, one green and one blue and then combine them if more than one is running. The problem arises when the inevitable Boons for Infinite Dead Hard, Infinite Borrowed Time and Infininate Decisive Strike come out and the colours cannot be mixed any more.

IF HorizontalRes IsLessThan VerticalRes
Close Game
ENDIF
There you go devs. You are welcome. Can I be a dev now?
-
Take a step, drop the obsession, pick them up take another step, drop them again.
It was horrible. How the devs thought this was fun I will never know.

Man, that sound is so annoying... it doesn't look like those traps are that heavy.
Those things need to be heavy enough to make it difficult for a survivor to escape. He now carries an extra trap compared to what he was used to and that extra trap is probably the difference between being able to carry them all comfortably and struggling with the last one.
Hopefully he can have a relaxing bath at the end of the day.

Heck yeah would be good. I have demo. Is the actual stance and mechanics of demo licensed?
Considering that they had to rename perks such as Surge, which I cannot even fathom why this would be licenced, I would imagine that most of Demo's mechanics would also be licenced.
-
I don't know why it has taken years to fix but the end game screen often tells fibs about how well you did. It tells you you black pipped when you actually pipped, it displays one grade on the tally screen and a completely different one in the corner.
Not sure how easy it is to fix, but it's probably really, really easy.
-
I don't really see Claudette's as toxic, it's always Neas for me.
The worst Claudettes are the god-like ones wearing default cosmetics that pretend to be new. I've been suckereed into long chases by these in the past. Before I know it all the gens are done and I've been uploaded onto someone's YouTube channel.
-
It would be great as a DemoGorgon skin replacement for those that missed out on him, if it could be done without the old Stranger Things license blocking it. Then at least new players could experience the gameplay. I think it might be difficult to do a werewolf that played differently to Demo.

Presumably a big Fornight streamer who has chosen to try it out to trash-talk it. Go back to your own game xqt!

I think the new voice sounds chilling.

If you want to listen to people eating, just join a Dead By Daylight SWF group on comms.

You know what would make DBD Hockey? A killer with a hockey mask! Jason Vorhees! A clue perhaps?
Straws? Grasping?

Another day has passed with closed eyes of our beloved community managers.
Have a nice day and keep up the good work @MandyTalk , @Peanits
As PS4 controllers wear down, they become unable to register 100% when the stick is pushed in different directions. Because DBD requires the controller to be all the way up to run it means a lot of players don't realise they are slower than they should be.
It's very strange, considering that there is an actual run button that should be sufficient to run at full speed.

So I started a thread in the steam discussions and most people think its just a bug, lets hope for the best
If its a bug, someone should report it in the bug section. People didn't report the hook creaking sounds disappearing and now they are gone forever.
-
I couldn't get some survivors to the hook with the broken Boil Over even when I didn't have a drop. It's still going to give free escapes, just not against mouse and keyboard players. I'll probably still hate going against it but I won't feel completely powerless now.
-
Mine have finally arrived.
-
I think if people consider any S-Tier killers the most balanced killers in the game, that highlights a serious balance problem.
-
With 2200 hours in the game, I played the tutorial against the Trapper and lost. It still counts as completing it though.

It was literally stated in a developer update that there was NO issue with OoO and from their data it was a poor performing perk overall and there were no plans to nerf it... After the overwhelming response of "do you even play your game" came the scrutiny of OoO. I'm not saying it's not better now than it was then, I'm also not suggesting adjusting perks solely on forum feedback. But if the overwhelming feedback doesn't match the data their looking at then they need to look at different parameters to see the data.
Sometimes if I wonder if they draw their conclusions and then cherry-pick data that supports that conclusion. Remember when they released data that claimed the DS nerf had little to no effect on the outcome of games? I would love to have seen how they chose that data.

@Laluzi said:
While this is great, and I'm glad they addressed this so quickly, there's two things I'm afraid of here.
-The library is still going to be a problem spot due to the balcony's distance from every other part of the map; having a guaranteed hook there still makes it super susceptible to, say, sabotage or Breakdown, and once that hook is destroyed via a sacrifice, it's back to the old problem. People can still do the thing where they force the killer to take 15 minutes bleeding them all out; one person can be hooked, but the rest can't.
-"Hey guys, we patched the worst spot, New Boil Over is fine now"
That's a good point! Hopefully they've added 4 hooks in there.
But it's probably only one and they will have just moved one from somewhere else to create another dead zone.
-
@Pulsar said:
Oh no.
Let me just bring myself to any of the other number of maps Boil Over is abusable on.
Mother's Dwelling
Temple of Purgation
Eryie of Crows
Badham
Thompson House
Disturbed Ward
Father Campbell's Chapel
Ormond
Dead Dawg
Midwich
Ironworks of Misery
Coal Tower
Don't worry guys! At this rate (1 map per week) we should have every map fixed by April 27, 2022!
You missed Lery's. I can't see hooks because of the walls or hook auras because of the perk hiding auras. Nor can I get through the doors. By the time I get to an aura I can see, I've staggered off the map.
-
That map was broken before Boil Over was released, they need to do the other maps too now, and fix it so that controller users can get through doors.
Or you know, stop being stubborn and just revert Boil Over.
-
No more talk about SpringTrap! Jaws is the killer we all know we need!
-
Survivors mains win again.
-
I think it would be really good to see new cosmetics based on the new movie. It would also be good to get cosmetics for other characters who have had remakes (or were remakes).
Robert Englund's Freddy and that other Laurie Strode who wasn't Jamie Lee Curtis would be welcome.
-
I hope the devs don't take the current standing of this poll at face value and at least take the time to read the comments.
Many of those that say it isn't OP seem to agree that it needs changing.
-
@Nathan13 said:
The kill switch is only for bugs.
Not true. The devs have never said that.
Dead Dawg Saloon got killswitched when they changed the layout and caused an infinite. It wasn't a bug, it was an oversight that became exploitable. They killswitched it until they could put it back.
-
So you admit that you did open their envelope?
-
@Aurelle said:
The killswitch is used for bugs that break the game and nothing else. If the perk is working as intended (which apparently it is), it won't be switched off.
Maps have been disabled for a single totem being uncleansable. I've escaped without being able to find Devour Hope before. It's difficult but not impossible. An uncleansable totem affects the game in a similar way as an exploitable perk or map offering.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Because nothing is mechanicallly broken. You can still win the match by bleeding all 4 out
If you have to bleed all 4 out to win a game, that surely warrants the killswitch.
-
Killers often can't get to hooks if the survivor runs Boil Over, especially on indoor maps when a hook just round the corner doesn't have an aura. He could leave you and down you later on but probably still won't get to a hook.
Why are you running such an obvious greifing perk and then complaining about getting slugged?
