I couldn't agree more. I've had so many conversation with you @Mushwin I actually feel like you are my Internet wife.
-
I completed all the tomes on PlayStation and now going through them again on Steam. It's not for the charms, it's not for the bloodpoints, it's just because they are fun to do. The only problem with them is that SOME of the challenges would lead to team mates focussing on their challenge rather than the objective. I'd rather we abandon the new very boring system of repetitive and predictable challenges and go back to the old system, but taking care to pick challenges that don't punish your team-mates.
Encourage me to play killers I don't normally play again, encourage me to bring loadouts that I don't normally use.
-
The downvote button is what made me leave. Post a question, a request for help or even have an unpopular opinion and getting loads of downvotes was rather disheartening. It took a lot of fun out of posting and I found myself looking more at the ratio than the comments.
Also seeing people getting permabans for two or three minor "offenses" seemed rather unfair.
-
Those look fantastic. I wish that's what they really looked like.
-
I'd be up for old Coldwind Farm and yes I agree I wouldn't want to go back to old DS and Hex: Ruin.
-
S-tier means broken. Nobody should be S-tier.
-
I like that the devs listened to a respected Blight main to do his rework and clearly took Pixel Bush's recommendations for Skull Merchant's changes. I hope they continue to listen to respected and relatively unbiased "mains" with future balance changes.
If a killer main like Wacek makes suggestions I would love the devs to consider them seriously. Trickster is so much more enjoyable now, but I would still welcome a few more tweaks.
Hopefully the Sledgehammer approach to tweaking is a thing of the past.
-
I went through all the survivors and all the killers to remove that annoying exclamation mark.
Then I reloaded. 😫
-
As far as I know we haven't had anyone from the dev team even acknowledge the map repetition problem. Is this deliberate? Is it temporary? Is it a bug? Is there really a Fallen Refuge map or did I imagine it?

I see what you mean. But there are a lot who loves many of the Original Characters not having voice lines. There should be a mechanic to turn that off!
But for newer players and plp who love the more "polished" survivors who have voicelines etc. There should be a common ground. Yes let's say everyone get voice lines. And we all get the option to turn them off. We would all be Happy! Right!?
Another problem. Many players like their survivor sounds, when adding new voice lines, all of their origninal sounds will be deleted and get new sounds. Then we have the Stevegull petition back.
If DBD could reach out to their voice actors of their OG survivors and lisenced old characters. Making them Voice lines wouldn't need them to delete the old ones.
This is spot on. If they changed Claudette's voice to not sound like Claudette just to give her some annoying voice lines, even if there was an option to turn them off, it won't be Claudette any more.
-
Seeing your teams perks is a good start. But having to stand still looking at the tab screen to do it is probably a bit unreasonable for most people. Having an OPTION of seeing the perks while playing would be more useful (I know some might resent extra clutter). Then players can look at the perks while they are repairing a gen to decide if they should let Claudette do this rescue.
For bonus points, they could highlight active perks so that players could see that Deliverence is not only in play, but also ready and usable.
-
If four of the same character load into the lobby, chances are at least two of them will be wearing the same cosmetics and the kiiler might be unable to tell them apart. So yes more "new cute outfits" would indeed lessen the tunneling.
-
While it would be nice for David's nan to win, I can't see many people playing her. Reminds me of the "give Haddie new cosmetics" campaign. Still nobody plays Haddie.
-
Yeah just tried playing him too. If you won't bring back Screamin' Steven, please give the voice to a future character.
It was silly and fun!

I often switch between 3 or 4 killer, so that may be that, however i wouldn't say i had a long win streak with any of them so i don't really know wich one has an high mmr, do i have to accumulate loss with the one with the highest mmr or just losing with the same one will be fine?
We only know that initial MMR is calculated based on your highest killer, so the only guarantee is that new or unplayed killers will benefit from a newly calculated killer MMR. So I recommend:
- Pick a single killer
- Play them for 10 games with a balanced build (i.e. not meta or meme, and avoid hexes as results will be based on luck)
- Note down each game whether it felt comfortable or unfair and also note down how many kills you got.
After those games, assuming you actually DID lose most of them, you should find future games with that killer are at least more comfortable. And of course, look out for any lobbys that looks like a preexisting lobby (i.e. dodged by another killer) as MMR is not used if you are filling a vacated killer spot.

Well i've been doing nothing but losing for 3 days straight, best i've got in the last 15/20 games is a single kill, i kept asking in endgame chat ppl hours and i never once met unexperienced players like me or people with less hours besides a 25h bill wich definitely wasn't a beginner, almost all the other people had above multiple thousands hours of playtime.
Can i just que for games and then afk to sink my mmr? Is my mmr bugged and not going down? Also why the f does the matchmaking take like 30 seconds instead of actaully trying to match me with people at my mmr? It's clear as day that it's just not even trying to give me a fair match
Are you sticking with the same killer though? That is key because every killer has their own MMR. If you play 10 killers and lose each game, the MMR goes down by a tiny amount. If you play the same killer, the MMR will realise it is mismatched and drop.
I played Trapper with Ruin when Ruin was OP and his MMR skyrocketed, when they nerfed it I couldn't win any games and it took about 8 defeats in a row to give me somewhat winnable matches. My other killers were unaffected.
-
Keep playing the same killer and your MMR will adjust after several games put you in the right spot. If you keep swapping killers though, your MMR will only go slightly down on each one so you will just feel like you are getting wrecked every game.
If you are a returning player your MMR may be where you left it but at a lower "confidence level" so a few defeats on a particular killer will tell the MMR that it needs to drop quicker than normal.
Also if you have one killer that you are really good at, your base MMR on other killers will be placed higher. If you are great at one killer you understand the game's mechanics at a decent level (or playing Blight) so maybe play that killer perkless for a bit to take a few losses.
-
I only watched it for Demogorgon. It's his show.
-
Most of my games seem appropriately balanced.
-
Press on the trackpad.
-
A gorgon would be very popular with those survivors that don't look behind them in a chase.
-
I own Cenobite and used his perks to get this achievement just last week, so yes you can!
-
Maybe could affect you on a gen too, so if you accidentally look at her you start turning to stone slowing your progress. It reminds me of trying to open the exit gates against Ghostface deliberately trying to avoid eye contact.
-
Are you constantly changing killers? If so, pick a killer and play a good number of games with that killer until your MMR naturally drops to where it should be. If you keep changing then your MMR will only go down a little bit for each killer you play so you won't see much difference.

Old Doctor was terrible, clunky garbage. The rework made his power much more fluid and easy to use.
Old Freddy was one of the most complained-about things in the game at the time and was reworked for a good reason.
And I don't need to point out why old Dully can never come back.
I do remember BHVR saying that OG Freddy was too weak for good players and too hard to deal with for new players. But from a personal perspective, I thought he was fine when I was new and felt "balanceable" when I had more experience. Probably a bit like GhostFace is now.
-
Is slugging even a problem any more? Very occasionally a killer will slug everyone to make them bleed out, but that's very rare AND has been fixed by allowing disconnects now.
Tunnelling needs addressing though, at the very least to avoid the hard tunnelling one person out at the start of the game. Unsafe unhooks should be fair game.
-
Apparently there is a new Walking Dead map. Someone told me they knew someone who played on it once. I don't believe them personally.
-
I think two perks per character would be better. Easier to balance and saves the need for as many filler perks. The only problem is what happens to the niche perks if they deleted some. I was really worried when they threatened to change Zanshin Tactics and perks like that might face the axe.
Maybe at least do only 1 or two perks for new survivors, skipping the fillers.
-
I'd definitely go with bringing the old powers back to the old killers if I could. The old Freddy really went with the theme of Freddy Kreugar. The first rework took us away from that and the latest version took us even further away. I'll be the first to admit that some number changes were needed for old Freddy but he was a lot of fun, but difficult against decent survivors. I miss pallet Freddy too much not as much as "Freddy Kreugar Freddy" when he was like Freddy Kreugar.
I suspect that Myers will have lost his identity too. he'll probably still be too generic to make him feel like Myers.
I'd love them to put them back as they were and just keep tweaking until they feel good. I don't mind if they are both D tier as there are other killers with a gun/dash killers that I can use to scratch those particular itches.
I'm not a fan of reworks that change too much as they alienate the fans. Ask any Skull Merchant main. The original Legion fix was the most necessary rework, but it was early enough to not risk alienating too many people (and that really was broken)
-
Shouldn't Sable be in a tier above everyone else? She's the only survivor who appears at least twice in every 2vs8 lobby for me.
Thrice if I'm playing survivor too.

I don't mind them adding voicelines per se, especially for characters that don't speak English.
But an option to turn them off would be great.
I'd like to see TWO toggles. One for Killer and one for survivor. I'd love to silence Taurie Cain, but I would be sad if it meant I would lose Chucky and Pinhead etc.
-
Killers are losing their identity. Michael Myers is now a turbo killer, Freddy is no longer anything like Freddy, Skull Merchant lost her identity, Chucky lost his fear factor, they tried to ruin hillbilly, twins, xenomorph and clown. Onryo nobody knows what to do against her any more since they've changed their minds so often.
The devs need to ask themselves what problem they are trying to fix with all these ill thought out reworks. Focus on those that NEED reviewing: Nurse and Blight, and maybe Trapper.
-
James is iconic. I'm sure they could have got someone who looked even a little bit like him.
-
It would be fun - A modifier for a modifier!
I'd score it on downs not hooks or kills otherwise Trapper could score from a cross-map hatchet hit. There would be some strategy too, because ultimately if you don't kill the survivors, you both lose so you would sometimes need to try and stop your team-mate from getting a down so you could get it, but if they lost chase you would both miss out.
-
DLC Yes, anything bought with auric cells No.
-
The Ghoul was at the other side of the map when they started typing the title.
-
No but that used to happen on my PS4 Pro, and only on DBD. I took it to bits but there was barely any dust in it. Taking off the heatsink and replacing the thermal paste fixed it.

I've been keeping track of all my survivor matches since the beginning of the year. Over the last 30 days, I've played 220 matches of solo survivor and escaped in 74 of them for an escape rate of 33.6%.
Do your BHVR stats match your own records? I'm suspicious that my official escape rate is higher than it should be, but that could be negativity bias.
-
That would be fun. We could have a "challenge player" option at the tally screen. I'd want an option to opt out of challenges though.

Yeah, it's not a perfect system. The devs could add a small delay to the adandon feature. That way the last survivor can't abandon immediately.
Yes I thought the same. The DC before the mori just doesn't sit right with me if they aren't being slugged. I'm pretty sure this is not what the system was designed for.
-
BHVR needs to constantly monitor who is S-tier, and who is D-tier and work towards bringing them towards each other. If there are any hopes to improve the balance of the game this is a sensible way to do it. Does Blight NEED to be 115% speed, or have a pallet insta-break, or amazing addons?
-
This is Wesker, he's a bit shy though.
-
6 perks for survivor then? Interesting. However I can usually pick myself up anyway, as invariably I play Chaos Shuffle matches with No Mither.
-
I'll be honest, I am quite surprised to see such support of DCing. How times have changed!
-
Remember when you would catch a baby Feng crouching in a corner, then she'd look up at you with those innocent eyes? That animation has gone now. Crouching survivors cannot look up any more. Sad times.
-
The problem is that bringing more classic movie killers into the game isn't as likely to bring new players in as characters from other genres.
People who like Jason and Candyman are likely to have also been interested in Leatherface and Michael Myers so if they were going to try the game, they probably already did.
Vecna, Springtrap, Dracula, Tokyo Ghoul and Darth Vader all bring in potential new audiences, as suggested by the huge influx of players when Resident Evil was added.
-
Darth Vader is both scary and scary-adjacent. Let's get him in!
-
If every killer game really is 4-person L100 SWF then you are probably winning most of your killer games. If that is the case then matchmaking is working. If you aren't winning these games then look out for pre-dodged lobbies (they don't utilise the MMR). You could be taking everyone else's rejected lobbies.
If all your team-mates are terrible then welcome to playing solo. But I have high-hopes of the Go-Next prevention.

Yeah killer daily rift is boring and 99% of the time it's done in first game.
I'm also going back to the original incomplete challenges.
Yeah I'm doing the same. Running out of missions though since I completed most of them.
