If Circle of Healing just gave everybody the ability to heal at self-care speeds with no additional benefits, I think it would be enough to make boons worthwhile.
Going from completely overpowered to useless seems like a wasted opportunity.
-
I'd be a lot happier with it just being very regular. I'd like there to be always a second queue, whether that is for 2vs8, My little Oni, the latest map, an even or even just to test stuff. But maybe alternate all these with either 2vs8 or Chaos Shuffle.
-
It's just the atmosphere I miss. Watch an old DBD video on some of the original maps and it' looks so eerie. But there was a lot of broken stuff that might have been fun, but only for one side.
-
The Ghoul reminds me of Nurse and Blight, how they are all really good fun to play against as long as the player hasn't mastered them yet.
Play against someone who really knows what they are doing though and it's miserable.
-
Unfortunately popular streamers love gun and dash killers and I think that is the cause of the current lack of variety.
I'd love them to rework Freddy and give him a modern take on his v1 version. It was unique and fit his character carefully.
Revert Skull merchant to v2.0. Survivors are going to DC no matter what you do with Skull Merchant so mayas well give her fans the character they enjoy.
Springtrap I was hoping for a jumpscare killer like the soon to be gone Scratched Mirror Myers set in an indoor map.
-
Yes I am seeing lots of final survivors just DC at the end of the game before they get moried. I'm not even slugging! This gives them a free draw and I don't even know if that demotes it to a 3K for me.
Seems rather abusable!

I've been playing this game for a long time and not once had I ever seen anyone complain about the old colours. I don't know why the devs waste time on changes that nobody wants.
Same can be said about the grade colours too: Red, browny-grey, greyey brown and grey. Not that anyone looks at those any more.

Pre run? Force Pallet stun? Body block? 99 the mend? Like there is plenty you can do against him.
In a 1vs 1 you might be right. But telling one person what to do in 2 vs 8 when the other 7 are all mending is surely missing the point.
-
You can safely not bother timing the blind correctly. As soon as the killer starts the pickup animation, you can start attempting the blind. You won't get a rescue, but as long as they get blinded you will trigger the quest.
-
Have to be honest, I'm opening the door and leaving immediately because of this. I'd rather stay and make sure others get out, but I need to get the escapes where I can. I'm sure other solo players are doing the same.
-
I liked the Ormand map so I'm disappointed. They could have removed the Badham variants and left the others. We can't look forward to new map variants any more, so there goes my hopes for some atmospheric night time variants of Coldwind and Eerie.
-
There is the horror trope that the final girl (or boy) always escapes to tell the tale. That's good enough for me.

I've always thought this. I don't like any balancing argument that says, "just bring x" to fix a problem.
It's not possible to perfectly balance a map, but swinging another variant of Eyrie of Crows to be more killer-sided wouldn't be too difficult. You could make a shrunken version of the map, maybe just barricade parts off like they did to RPD to make it smaller.

Cosmetics team is not the balance team.
We can blame the management team though. Balance changes and cosmetic changes have to be green-lit from above. Probably.
-
I found the same. Since I was playing a streamer I wanted to watch the game back (to see what on earth my team-mates were doing for the entire match) and the streamer was complaining about visible stutters from his side too.
-
I don't want to listen to kids chomping on chips and slurping their colas.
If I wanted to hear that I would take my headphones off.
-
The entity is protecting the Blight from nerfs.
People on forums say he is mostly balanced, DBDs stats support that he is balanced, Nighlight's stats support that he is balanced, the devs only tweak him without making major nerfs (while gutting relatively well-balanced Skull Merchant and Chucky.)
But when I play against him, he slugs everyone in about three minutes.
I'm taking a screenshot of this post before it vanishes!
-
I liked them when they were challenging, like having perform your lunar objective and then escape to win your cosmetic. It made them a bit different from the "progress another rift" style events.
-
It is a lot to learn when they release a killer then 6 weeks later we have to relearn an old one. I haven't a clue how to play as or against the Skull Merchant any more, and against Onryo do I collect a tape or leave it alone? Is Chucky good or bad now? Can controller players play as Singularity now? Learning all these changes while also learning new killers is so difficult.
-
While we are thinking about that, it would also be nice to set a preference on "cheap" or "best". On characters like Taurie, I want them as cheap as possible just to unlock their level 3 teachables, but other characters like Sable I want the best.
-
I really like that we have map variants, what I would really like is for them to add variants that favour the opposite side. So we get current Haddonfield AND one of the older ones, current Eyrie plus another smaller one that favours killer.
Then if someone plays an offering they don't know if it will benefit them or not.
-
Well I got a correction that now says Sable and Nemmy are my mains so that's correct. Still says I have escaped half my matches though so I don't think it is there yet.

I tell anyone who starts playing to remind their controls immediately for controller.
You only need to face Pinhead once to see why it's a problem.
- R2: Use item
- R1: Interaction
- L2: Sprint
- L1: Action
- Triangle: Pick/Put down item
- Circle: Crouch
Action/Interaction are the two time time critical inputs, so they go on the bumpers.
Use item and sprint are less important and tend to be held, so they go on triggers.
Pick Up and Crouch are actions you usually don't take under pressure, so you can take upur thumb off looking around to use them as they don't need to be on time critical buttons. In the rare cases you need a fast Crouch, claw hand will make do. You don't need it often.
Circle for crouch is interesting, but holding circle while moving my camera might be a bit too much for my old hands!

Is better than base for sure, though I know for a fact R3 for actions would mess me up so hard at some point with how I tend to fat thumb R3 xD
Kudos for making that work xDI tried using R3 for actions. All seemed fine until I got into a chase with an item. I'd run up to a window and then inexplicably start randomly clicking my flashlight, or start injecting myself with a Nemmy syrum. I'd also have a trigger finger with flashbangs as they would just go off in my hand.
I think I also suffer from fat thumb syndrome.

That could be it. It stated the Billy was my most played killer. I doubt that for last year but overall he would most likely be.
This would be fair for my killer, but I've never been a Claudette main and the stats say Claudette is my most played survivor.
If they had said Jake, Kate, Elodie or Jane then maybe they picked the wrong year or had added all the years but I just don't play Claudette.
-
How would you prove smurfing though? I know there are streamers with suspiciously easy matches but we can't know whether that's just their time and location or whether they are going off stream with an AFK Knight.
Also there is nothing in the Terms and Conditions preventing someone from creating an alternative Steam/PSN login and for those in shared households it is quite common for multiple people to play on the same machine, with Family Sharing access to other people's steam library.
-
One thing that cannot be based on a different year or taken from my entire DBD career is the escape rate.
If it had said I had escaped 25% of the time, I would have had serious doubts, but it claims I have escaped 50% of the time. There has never been a time when I have escaped that frequently, except for the very rare and brief occasions when I SWF, but I have never teamed up for more than a few matches in a row before going back to dying most games as a solo again.
-
Trapper niche tip - If the lobby suggests the make up is of console players, place traps directly under pallets as the disarm trap prompt will be replaced by a drop pallet prompt. You can often get free god pallets dropped when you aren't even in chase.
This obviously won't affect the 0.01% of controller players that have rebound their buttons.

Hopefully when flashbang gets nerfed
If not, I'd settle for a Background Player nerf.
-
I feel your pain. There was a Tome challenge to chainsaw 5 survivors with HillBilly and with barely any Billy experience at the time (and on controller) I finally did it. Before David King even hit the floor my game crashed.
I was picturing someone watching all my games, with their hand on a big switch just waiting for my final chainsaw.
-
Me too. Is it bad that I deliberately avoid most of the event offerings so that I won't have any left over when the event ends?

My only problem with the dream world filter is that scratch marks blend in with the ground textures on some maps. I hope they'll do something about that.
His snares and pallets are terrible. Especially since they don't allow Freddy to have any kind of synergy with pallet perks (not nice, devs). He should have a different chase power.
I like the teleport too but something that doesn't sit right with me, is that a survivor wakes up when you hook them, which makes your cooldown take longer. So you nerf yourself for hooking people. I kind of like that for anti tunneling purposes but for the teleport not so much.
The best parts about Freddy right now are his animations (his hit animation is so satisfying) and his laugh. That should definitely stay.
His wall-break animation is really satisfying. Only Nemesis' beats it for me.
-
I think a lot of people are struggling with those killers that receive repeated substantial changes.
Skull Merchant being the best example. How do I play her? How do I play against her? Should I disarm the drones or work around them? Check YouTube and pretty much any tutorial videos are at best out of date and at worst misleading to the point of being detrimental
Same deal with Onryo. People don't know whether it's best to pick up a tape or not pick up a tape.
-
They would need to be toned down as they are pretty much a free escape as they are now. Maybe reduced visibility as opposed to complete invisibility and probably reduce the AoE.
-
So to customise the character we have selected, we have to back back out to the character select screen? Does this make sense to anyone?
-
I've already bought Lara so why is she at the top? I can't buy her again.
-
In the old system, the exact same result would be classed as a win at rank 20, but a loss at rank 1, even though the ranks just reflected what day of the month it was.
As killer, I always consided 3 kills as a win and 1 kill as a loss, no matter what convoluted rank, grade or MMR system tells me.
Survivor makes it a bit more complicated admittedly.
-
Only if they removed the ability to deliberately die on hook, because that's just a DC without penalty.
-
I'd like to see the "Legacy" cosmetics that people got for playing a lot in the early days but for any character hitting P100. Even though they are bit rubbish compared to more modern skins. I wouldn't want them to be too appealing, otherwise many would feel obliged to grind for FOMO.
-
I wish they had just left it as it was. Yes it was difficult to play on as killer but I really didn't mind it. I would have been very happy if they had just made the wall changes and left the size as it was.
It feels like the atmopshere has gone as it is so small.
-
I was in a game and one survivor brought a year 7 anniversary cake!
Obviously I tunnelled them out of the game.
-
7/10 but you are in competition with the other side, so I'm sure the mindset is denying the opposition an even bigger victory. I've never felt anyone has tried to purposly deny anything other than Evil Incarnate and back in the pre-bot days, the 4 mori trophy though.
And credit to those survivors who let us controller players down them with 100 long range hatchets at the exit gates! Interesting how some trophies the other side don't mind helping with.

Having goldfish memory(ies) suck sometimes
Experiments have been performed on goldfish where they have to push specific buttons with their orange noses to get their food. Then they take that apparatus away then bring it back another day and they still know which button to press. This has shown that they have quite decent memories, possibly lasting months.
It might be better to say, "I have a memory like a @Rulebreaker."
Back the the point though, it's also a little harder for less-experienced killers to hug the walls due to the first person perspective so that can make a difference.
-
But then Skull Merchants would never get a game because they'd be constantly lobby dodged.
Hmm, maybe you're right.
-
Go and play that then.
-
I try to keep one of each cake for every character. I also have to use every single limited time offering so I have zero left polluting my inventory.
Accidentally left 3 cursed seeds on Nea and spent the last Grusome Gateau on Dwight though. 😥
-
Backpacks need to be a 4th cosmetic slot.
-
I don't mind playing the same killer twice in a row, it's when I play 10 games or so and half are Weskers then it gets tiresome. I'd be perfectly happy with 2 Wraiths, then two Spirits, and maybe then two Weskers for example.
I'd be up for a Meg repeat protection though.
-
If Blights new addons are all Freddy-level then I don't think he needs a basekit nerf. But nobody enjoys killers with all trash addons so I would be happy to see a Blight with yellow/green addons to be about the level of the current addonless Blight.
Being able to break pallets with his face for example could be an easily obtainable yellow and/or brown addon. Just like how Pallet-Freddy mains are affectively playing with a single addons to play him as they enjoy him.
