For science, I tested this and I noticed that I got an extra 6 added to the progress of one of the trophies every time the game said "Initialisation Completed". The same number that I had originally. I then went in and got an extra 1 by playing the game. After restarting it then started to added another 7.
So the game recognises how many times you legitimately progress a trophy, whether that progression was on PS4 or PS5 and it doesn't matter whether you earned your progress before or after the bug. It always knows the genuine number.
It also doesn't seems to affect the newer trophies. My Singularity and Nicolas Cage progression hasn't increased due to the bug.

Yes! In fact there should be a matchmaking penalty for those who play AS Skull Merchant, not for those who DC against her.
-
I heard that the mobile version had the perks all categorised. If they brought this into the core game, they could use perk categories to create random builds with a purpose, so you could build a random healing build, or ensure that one slot was filled with a random exhaustion perk.
-
He could have just been a cheater but did you check his perks? HillBillies often like to use information perks to take advantage of his amazing map presence.
"how is it even enjoyable to play this game (or any other for that matter) with absolutely no challenge whatsoever?"
Any Blight players want to answer this one?
-
Most people think they are top MMR wheras we are told that most are actually in the middle. I think I'm in the middle so I'm probably down at the bottom with default Dwight. Do we really want to know we aren't as good as we think we are?

Do you have one? does anyone have any weird combinations of food that is nice? for Mr Mushwin it's peanut butter and a cheese sammich! for me, I think the weirdest thing was my Mc D fries dipped in a strawberry milkshake lol.
Peanut butter and cheese sandwiches are not strange, they're amazing!
-
The biggest problem is his addons, but nerfing them might still leave him too strong. Where would this change leave Blight? A tier? B tier? He would still be stronger then other killers. I'd love this to be tested in a PTB, if it turns out it leaves him F-tier then revert it.

so done with this nonsense. Not all SWFs are these navy seal monstrosities, those are extremely rare. People need to stop saying they lost to a swf when they get crushed by 4 great solo players.
This is why I'd love to see who was teamed up at the end of the match. I want to know whether I lost to an SWF or solos. If it turns out that SWFs usually win and solos usually lose then matchmaking can be tweaked based on the composition of the survivors.
And if a killer gets crushed, the player shouldn't be complaining about SWFs, they should be complaining about matchmaking.

The chains definitely should cease while someone tries to solve the box. It's not clear to many that you have to time starting to solve it.
-
Chasing the right people is part of the strategy. If I get 8 hooks and no kills it's my own stupid fault.
-
There are a lot of confusing/complicated systems in DBD. The bloodweb isn't one of them. I can't even imagine a new player having difficulties with the auto button on the first bloodweb of their first character.
-
You are right and I think it would look very creepy seeing her cheerfully duck under all the doorways, but I think I am all Resident Evilled out. Other than skins for existing characters, I really hope they look elsewhere for licences now.
-
- The system may lead to more disconnects. It might even lead to fewer. Currently, you can DC to give your teammate the hatch or to deny the killer a Mori or Adept.
- The killer can be forced to play against 4 bots. True, for now. But its an easy fix if it becomes common. Disable the DC penalty if there are only 1 or 2 humans left in the game.
- Humans are prone to doing dumb stuff too.
- Bot cannot/do not coordinate or strategize. Some might say, neither can Meg.
- If survivors do decide to bully the solo, they aren't being efficient themselves. By the time the solo disconnects, they will have already thrown the game.
- A killer avoiding the bot is not making a good call. That bot will be doing gens. Just giving up or going AFK is already a problem. It will remain when bots come in. The bots are irrelevant.
-
Because I have over 5000 hours and I still can't hit a red barn door with a Huntress hatchet.
-
I'd prefer bots to replace survivors that have obviously gone out of their way to die on first hook. It wouldn't be easy to implement though as sometimes people are genuinely trying to unhook themselves.
Or maybe just get rid of the whole self-unhook mechanic once the anti-facecamp self-unhook is in place.
-
Being back the horror theme:
- Remove daytime from outdoor maps
- Bring in killers that LOOK scary. Sex Merchant, Larry, Knight don't even look horror themed
- Iconic characters. Preferably from classic horror movies or TV. Doesn't even have to be licenced because vampires, witches and werewolves etc would fit in well.
- Spooky maps. Night-time in a grave yard would be good
-
Its hard to get out of the habit of beelining for the purple medkit in the bloodweb when there is a much better value brown one somewhere else.
-
Go on, give us a code for all the Legacy skins. It will be funny.
-
The trailer did sound like Nicholas stunned the trapper by running at him so that's what I am expecting.
I cannot imagine a scenario where all three perks can possibly be fair and balanced as broken OP perks will simply sell more DLC.

That doesn't really explain why it can't be shown, though.
The devs say that most people are at mid-MMR, even though players often think they are actually at the cap. If everyone suddenly found out their MMR was low, wouldn't that encourage them to play extra-sweaty? More camping, more tunnelling, more gen-rushing.
Also, because we only know the basics of the MMR, not necessarily the specifics, you would be able to game the system. For example: If it turns out that a DC lowers your MMR, people will DC for easier games. If a DC invalidates your game, people who want to keep their high MMR will DC before their final hook.
Some people might even leave the game when they find out they aren't the great player they thought they were.
-
I've seen this on PS5, only ever against Wesker. Seems to be any map.
-
Its purpose was to prevent imbalanced matches, not for people to strive for a rating.
If a simple lobby dodge wasn't enough to make the sweatiest SWFs get matched with casual killers doing dailies, maybe everyone wouldn't have such a low opinion of the system.

Yeah but still. Freddy deserves better than that. He is one of the og horror icons but seeing him in this poor state really hurts.
Putting some effort into re-reworking his addons would be good enough for me. In fact, give his addons to Blight and solve two problems.
-
It depends when they start camping. If they camp just because 3 gens have been done then yes, blame the killer. The game is not over and camping isn't fun for either side.
-
Please don't just monitor the perk. Monitor the perk, the feedback AND the pick rate.
We don't need another Dead Hard/Mettle of Man/Object of Obsession/Decisive Strike.
-
He's great fun to play against so I really hope killers continue to play him. I can't see myself playing as him though as he is difficult to play well.
-
There was no mention of Jaws either!
-
- Buff: Trapper
- Nerf: Blight's addons
- Rework: Nurse
-
I definitely saw one. It was on the Hawkins map if that helps?
-
It has been confirmed that you can complete them if you switch to anonymous mode in Options.
-
My recommendation is to avoid instadown killers but use whoever you have the most success with. Otherwise Wraith, Doctor (with a Distressing build) and Legion can give you lots of bloodpoints due to how their powers score.
-
This should be listed as a bug as the controller works in the menus but not in the game:
You can replicate this on Steam and Epic by "knocking" the cable before the game starts so the light briefly goes off (PS4 controller). When the light comes on your controller will be working. But when the game starts you will be unable to move. Quit the game and the controller will be working again. Start another game (using the controller) and you will again be unable to move. This persists until you restart the game.

You can't remap on console? I know you can on pc
You can remap on console. I've remapped mine to Triangle as I had the exact same problem. Unfortunately this leads to another problem - If you are moving using one stick, turning using the other stick, the only way to hit triangle at the same time is to press it with my nose.
It's still preferable to regular accidental activations though.
-
Same thing happened to me on the RPD against Billy. An important thing to note is that my team mate and I could see eachothers screen and the pallet existed on my screen but did not on theirs. Everyone appeared to "glitch" through the pallet on my screen.
I've only seen it happen once though.
-
I want chickens.
-
yes

If the controller identifies itself as an XBox controller and you don't support its decicsion, edit your DS4Windows profile, go to Special Actions and on the Other tab, change the emulated controller to Dualshock 4.
The loss of movement can be caused by two controllers being detected when using DS4Windows. Did you remember to configure HidHide for your DS4Windows installation? If you go to control panel you should see 1 controller rather than 2. If you see 2 then you need to configure HidHide to hide the controller that identifies itself as an XBox controller.

I feel sorry for the bot that has been sat on the subs bench all game only to replace someone that DCd 2 seconds before bleeding out or just as their hook timer runs out.
Poor bots.
-
And it talks too!
-
I went back to the PS4 version just to grab the "Where did they go trophy" for the platinum. The PS4 version immediately synched progress and was exactly at the same point as it was on the PS5. After I got the platinum I went back to the PS5 version with no issues whatsoever. Bloodpoints, Auric Cells, Iri Shards, cosmetics plus all purchases remained in synch.
-
I genuinely believe the community is NOT a problem. It's Internet people that are the problem.
(Not you people though, you're all lovely)
-
When are you going to make a start on P100 Skull Merchant?
-
I think it would lose too much of its atmosphere.
-
I think that would be a good option on all platforms.
Can Steam Deck play the DBD on Ultra? Medium feel like cheating to me.
-
I like to use the classic, but effective:
gg
And if they continue crying:
gl in next
-
I like these because if you play both sides, you look at this and think, ok I'll play killer for this. But for those that only play survivor, it allows them to still complete the mission, but they have to work hard for it unless they choose to play it as killer.
-
They should probably adjust the really difficult ones. "Where Did They Go?" got fixed which was good as that was almost impossible. Downing 100 survivors from across the map with Huntress is pretty much impossble on a controller now that Borrowed Time is default, and Evil Incarnate needs to be handed to you by the survivors.
-
I don't think weaker killers such as Wraith should be burnable. That doesn't feel fair. I'd be all for allowing Nurse and (somehow) Blight to have their abilities taken away with a flashlight though.
-
I'd settle for spawning logic that keeps all traps roughly near the middle of the map.

Is it currently ban worthy? Like if you send a video of the killer bleeding you out and bming will they get a temp ban for griefing? There's a very clear line between slugging to win and bleeding people out just to be toxic. I've never actually known the answer to this. I feel like people would be less likely to do it if escalating bans existed.
Bleeding out Boil Over users is unfortunately sometimes the only way to kill them.
I'll like to see the timer speed up as more people get slugged. That way it end the game quickly for survivors and discourages the killer from slugging if they actually want hook kills.
