If they only brought Hawkins back for the 7th year (and didn't do a stupid candle charm) I would be a happy Mushwin.
I think we will all be disappointed if it is another original chapter. But I would certainly settle for an original chapter plus the return of Hawkins. No map has ever been as atmospheric as that one.

for killers hitting survivors on the hook...no purpose but to bully the hooked survivor
for survivors being able to tbag the killer...no purpose but to bully the killer (which is made even worse after a sweaty game)
no purpose in the game but to antagonize the other person...are their any others i am missing? flashlight macro clicking was removed because it was used as to antagonize the killer so why are these other aspects still allowed in the game?
what does the community think/feel about having these aspects still in the game?
Its not always about BMing. It's our way of communicating with the other side:
I hit survivors on the hook to let them know that they did well in chase. It just means, "well done!"
If I repeatedly hit them on the hook it is a friendly way of letting them know that they are using a broken perk so they know to review it after the game.
If a survivor would quite like to be in chase, or to continue the chase they are in, its a friendly way of letting the killer know they are enjoying the chase and would like it to continue.
If I slug everyone at 5 gens I am just letting them know that I hope they reconsider bringing a Boil Over build and indoor map offering for future trials.

A few months ago I picked up a couple of survivors for 6000 each. Can't quite remember exactly when it was though but yes they do very occasionally do discounts. They used to do them if the characters were required for Tomes but they haven't done that for past couple because they featured brand new characters.
-
How about:
Velma cosmetics for Feng (or Haddie at a push)
Daphne cosmetics for Kate
Fred cosmetics for Felix
Shaggy cosmetics for Dwight
Scooby Doo cosmetics for Dredge
Scrappy Doo cosmetics for Victor

Wasn't it the 23rd of May or did I dream that?
Also I predict it will be awesome!
-
I like it when killers bring them. The alternatives are an ideal map for them, a map cancelling offering that stops me getting my "fall from a great height" challenge done or a Mori that gives them a license to tunnel me off the second hook.
Survivor mains often don't need as many bloodpoints anyway if they only play Meg. Killer mains are far more likely to play a variety of killers, all of whom need levelling up.
Edit: Should have read your comment more thoroughly!
-
It makes a lot of sense to consider the sexual appeal of the characters. I mean then do need to sell these characters, and what else does the Cheese Merchant offer?
The Spirit was very well designed. Make her scary first, then zoom in to her butt when the game loads in.
-
Is 120fps not enough? I used to play on a PS4 Pro. so having 60fps is a dream come true. I can't even comprehend 120fps!
-
If Skull Merchant was supposed to be a fallen though deal of Predator, that may have been the intended anniversary release.
They might have swapped it round so they didn't get a terrible anniversary killer. Then we end up with an original that has has had an extra 3 months to get perfect!
-
So is there a magic number for this FOV value or would it vary for each person? I wouldn't want killers setting it to Quake Pro.
-
Back when I started playing we all complained about how Hillbilly needed a nerf! Now look at him.
He's called the Blight now!
-
I think the bots are really impressive. Defininitely flawed but I was expecting them to far worse than they actually are. You are completely right about their reactions though. I wanted to practice Nemesis with bots and soon realised they did exactly what you described and simply moved out of the way as soon as I attacked.
I'm not to bothered about their inability to cope with certain perks though. The effort getting bots to randomly search for totems might be more effort than is worthwhile. But I would hope you could effectively play as someone like Ghostface without them simply knowing where you are.

im guilty of this. Sometimes I'm so caught up in gen tracking and keeping pressure on i forget who's on certain hook stages and just like that, ive tunnelled the poor Nea who happens across my path every damn time. It is what it is
Rest easy. That isn't tunnelling. You've downed the most appropriate survivor, you haven't gone out of your way to get someone out of the game as quickly as possible. I've been that Nea plenty of times.
-
My main problem with hexes is that looking for lit totems is the most boring part of the game. More boring than sitting on a generattor even. If you leave a gen to go and look for a partitcularly opressive perk, you aren't progressing the game, you aren't getting any points and you are leaving scratchmarks for the killer to see.
When Ruin was meta, if my opponents couldn't find the totem it was almost a guaranteed and very often undeserved win.

Why is it a problem on console?
More accurately, it is a problem on controller:
Imagine you are walking toward a doorway. Boil over makes you go right, you try to push in the opposite direction, by the time it responds so that you go left it will take you all the way left across the door so fast that you can't push forward and get through the door. This repeats until you drop the survivor.
Why does this not affect keyboard and mouse players? I have no idea but I have never known anyone using them ever think (current) boil over is anything but a minor inconvenience.
-
If you consider that their goal is to improve balance, you have to look at the things they have done so far. For the most part they have neutralised some of the most oppressive things. A nerf to nurse, a nerf to the meta, bumping up some of the less used perks.
The way I see it, they are on the right track. Right now they seem inundated with complains about Blight and his addons. I'm pretty sure he is on their radar and should soon get hit with a well-deserved addon purge.
As for solo-queue, I do think people need to reconsider their builds. Bond, Empathy, Botony Knowledge are all even more useful now. Killers are now used to frequently changing their builds and it is good survivors may now have to do the same.
-
If you are struggling with any particular killer, my best advise is to play as that killer. When you are in chase against experienced survivors you can see how they counter you and use that experience when playing as survivor.
-
"No survivor playing on a controller, you may not disarm this trapper trap sat next to a pallet. You must drop the pallet instead."
-
The survivor TEAM gets more bloodpoints than the killer though. The discrepancy should be addressed. More bloodpoints for the killer!
-
Who's the better Trapper out of Otzdarva and TheEntityLeftHand? I honestly don't know but I would expect a variety killer like Otz to be less successful with Trapper compared to someone who plays him almost exclusively.
-
My winstreak with Blight is 2. Can I be a streamer?
-
A big part of the reasoning is wanting to remove the stale meta. Something I agree with. Unfortunately now some of my favourite perks are now in the firing line as they are rising to the top. If too many are running the same perks then it makes sense to ask the question why? Often it is to fix something broken in the game. such as tunneling/camping. The best fix in my opinion is to try to bring things into the base game and nerf the perks to make them less necessary.
-
Two heals is all you really need. There are perks and addons that can help you get more than a single heal out of a medkit. I know "just use x" arguments are the laziest of replies but killers have been using multiple perks to slow down the game for a while and I think now survivors might have to do the same for healing is kind of okay.
I've always found Bond to be the best thing to bring for healing. Just find someone working on a gen and teabag them furiously until they heal you.

Evil Dead isn't a zombie game, but knows Mr Mushwin would like to see Kelly just added as a character in the game, not to mention the house.
Evil Dead zombies please!
And add Kelly as a survivor and replace the Cheese Merchant's house in Sheltered Woods with Ash's cabin.
-
In the old days many people would avoid the most expensive nodes when levelling up because unlocking perks was more important. Now that so many of us have unlocked all the perks we have switched to getting the most expensive/powerful addons instead. They are also much cheaper than before. I hope bhvr are monitoring the usage of the most powerful stuff.
-
Take her out of the game as a killer but give her a stall where she buys and sells skulls and cranium-themed memorabilia.
-
The devs really can't win can they? Gen-kick meta and Circle of Winning both nerfed and people are still complaining.
-
I'll be honest it does sound fun, and a lot different from killers we have been getting recently.
-
People review bombing a game they've been playing and enjoying for years is embarrassing. If you dislike a chapter then leaving a negative review on that is fine and I think it is good that the devs are being told that the Skull Merchant doesn't fit in in a horror themed action game.
Let's keep the meta shift going. I like the variety. Nerf the best perks, nerf the best killers, buff the weak, keep it interesting!
-
In my exerience MMR takes care of the obvious disadvantage I have playing with a controller. I simply don't get matched with good survivors when I am a ranged killer that I am clearly only playing for a daily quest or rift mission. Having said that, I have had to take a fair few zero kills to get matched with default Dwights again.
Having said that, in my household, young Jaws2IsTheNextKiller is very proficient on PS5 with ranged killers with a fraction of my experience so I put my inability to play with these killers squarely at my own potato skill level. Unfortunately I think aim assist might make some controller killers too good.
-
My head hurts.

I’m fairly certain I’ve had this problem on two different controllers one of them a brand new one, not to mention sometimes it just stops being a problem for a month, than the game updates and bang it’s a problem again… sigh
If only I could afford a PS5
I've had this on numerous PS4 controllers. I have a pile of controllers that can be used for anything other than DBD.
Fortunately I haven't had this happen on PS5 (yet?)
-
I do find it interesting that I get far more Skillcheck Doctors on Friday and Saturday evenings than any other time.
But for me, Saturday nights = Technician build so bring it on Doctor!
-
I'd love to be able to sell all my charms.
I would happily go to the shop to sell all the charms that aren't bright yellow.
-
People like to come on here to complain. It's good to see people come on here being positive.
We are getting some killer perks nerfed that really needed to be nerfed (I blame this squarely on Blights btw) but no more circle of healing! That's a net win for killer in my book!
-
It was nerfed to keep it out of the stale meta. I'm glad as people are running a bit more variety now. Built in borrowed time and off the record ease the pain of its removal from those solo players that were genuinely using it as anti-tunnel. I hope they continue nefing meta perks on both sides.
-
It definitely shouldn't be reportable reportable as it is a built in mechanic. But as soon you see the aura of the first person hooked giving up you know the game is ruined for all 4 of the other players.
I wouldn't object to a DC penalty penalty for people doing this early on in the game though.
-
I wouldn't object to flashlights somehow working on the Nurse and Blight to reduce their potency. But Wraith and Hag vs a flashlight squad felt a little unfair and I would lobby dodge.
-
If your stick isn't registering all the way up to 100% when pushing forward you will not run at full speed. Plug your controller into a PC and you can test whether it stuttering between 100% and 99% or less in Control Panel. This will probably be more noticable when pushing up left or up right.
You can fix this if you are on PC by using DS4 Windows and reducing your Max Zone. Mine is set to 0.90.
If BHVR are interested in fixing this, they just need to count pushing forward to 90% as running. There is no reason not to do this as there is a run button. If I am pressing that I probably want to run at full speed. I can't imagine a scenario where I want to run halfway between walking and running speed.
-
And I agree with all except these:
5. SWF is fine, that's the reason this game didn't die a long time ago.
- It would be fine if matchmaking didn't put SWFs against low MMR killers. And yes I am talking about my Deathslinger on controller.
8. The old dbd despite being unbalanced is better than the current one.
- I do think the devs are listening. The fact that Nurse is getting the very nerf people have been pleading for is good evidence that they are improving the game. I'm a little worried about Boil Over Sabo squads after the new wiggle mechanics come in though.
11. Sweet is better than salty.
- Not since lovely sugar has been largely replaced with nasty sweetners (in my part of the world) it isn't.

"Franklin's Demise" is a reference to the original film. Franklin is a character in the original film, and later on in the film he goes out on to a cornfield with a flashlight and and gets chainsawed in the body, causing him to drop his flashlight. That's why it's named what it is in case you wanted to know.
I have seen the movie and didn't spot that. Thank you!
-
In 2018 (roughly around the Curtain Call chapter) you got the adept trophies for 4 kills even if it didn't say Merciless Victory at the end and that might have been a bug but it lasted some time. I would never have managed Adept Billy without every single surivor ragequitting back then.
Not counting DCs as kills feeds survivors the idea that, "If I DC the killer didn't beat me". DCs should never favour the quitter. Even if I might have been slighly face camping them.

I've been playing my Christmas games but I'll be back soon.

I just hope his perks wont be renamed with some dumb names like ST perks were
Yes that never made sense to me. I understand that the copyright owners think people will want to play the best game out there with Demogorgon/Leatherface so they take the license away from DBD. But what does it matter what the perks are still called or look like when the character is still available to people who bought them? Franklin's Demise is a terribly named perk anyway as like many others, can be hard to remember as the name doesn't even hint at its purpse but the Stranger Things perk names seemed barely related to the license.
I still haven't got used to the new Stranger Things perk names. Prediction: Franklin's Demise will be renamed Soapy Hands.

", only the dlc's that were unavailable on other platforms had those unlicensed descriptions"
Explain halloween having alternative names and icons.
"additonaly, the leatherface dlc is the only dlc that is not affected by the discount"
Stranger Things went on discount all the time, and had a 50% off everything sale for ~3 months before it's removal. Leatherface is the cheapest dlc, coming in at 5€, and I don't think I've ever seen it go on discount (and I'm fairly certain that the licence would've been renewed within the previous 5+ years). I don't think that's indicative of anything.
Again, I will eat my words if I'm wrong, but as of right now I don't see any use in panicking and raising the alarm bells. The code is held together by twigs and mud, so it's more likely to just be a bug than it is a confirmation of licence withdrawal.
Get the ketchup friend:

I see many well-written, well-thought out posts which get attacked after the first couple of posts then the thread turns into an argument. It's such a shame, it puts me off posting. It didn't use to be like this. Even back when everyone wanted Hillbilly and Old old Ruin nerfed. The game is in such a good place now too.
And welcome back @Mushwin! Long time no see!
-
Adept Cenobite does that sometimes, this bug has been around for a long time. I can't see a pattern as to what actually causes it not to trigger but it does eventually pop. I saw someone on PS5 meet the requirements 3 times before it triggered, and yes it was a double-pip with only his base addons.
-
Translucent traps would be better, so they blend in better whatever map you are on.
-
There are no physics to these new pallets. The old pallets reacted to how the killer kicked them, these just break on the final hit.
-
That's the subtle difference between MMR and matchmaking. The matchmaking screwed you over, not the MMR.
