My opinion on new killers is until a 3 week period after their live release you can't properly tierlist them because they start typically stronger than they finish due to players lack of experience.
Than on release you get the vast majority of the playerbase learning how to counter the killer and the killer learning how to counter the counters.
Finally with feedback the devs usually do some adjustments.
All this to say while its certainly fun to speak about, winstreaks in PTB are a lot less reliable sources of info for a killers power and potential at least to me.
Thought for whats it's worth from what i've seen of the new killer they do look quite strong in their current state. -

seems like a solid build if you play around it. I use these types of builds on Cenobite sometimes but didn't think to use it on Doc. I never play Doc, but I wish I did because he's always been a lucky menace for me.
funny thing is, Cenobite is the reason I thought of this build for Doc, only issue was since doc can raise his TR to 46 meters, face the darkness was a sketchy perk to use. That’s when I realized how much better pentimento is to have. I sometimes have games where I never even get devour but have penti’s for so long I just win thru that instead.

However I see one flaw in this build which most survivors wont exploit tbf. If the survs are smart, they’ll realize with 3 hexes and no ruin it’s either haunted grounds or devoir hope. If they play it smart, they could unhook immediately after you hook and avoid the devour hope token. No need to cleanse because your only lethal perk is devour hope. You have no gen slowdown too so they can bumrush gens. Doctor doesnt have impressive antiloop nor any mobility anyway. But realistically speaking this requires coordination and good looping skills + perks to avoid dying off hook.
correct, I myself can always tell when it’s devour paired with undying or thrill, but no one has tried denying stacks by farming hooks. The best counter to this build silly as it is to say is to cleanse nothing, and be able to loop the killer long enough to speedrun the gens. This would avoid penti and devour, even with 2 gens left, it’s enough to wreck the team there on once devour is active

So...this is just a soloq stomp build.
I can also pull a soloq stomp build with plaything and excessively slug with third seal.
What are they gonna do then?.
except I don’t slug or tunnel. The build is good enough and so am I that I don’t need to. And if you want to believe swfs are all powerful you can. The point of this build is even if you know where the totems are, that doesn’t mean you will be able to cleanse them. And even if you do, you’ll need to do it again when penti gets lit. :)
the whole point of me posting my 87% kill rate was to show the power of the build. 87 matches with 1 loss (some 3ks but only 1 1k) Sorry but I didn’t play against 86 solo q teams and you know that. -

fair enough, I’ll have to take your word for it.

as some say it doesnt work in higher MMR, but try this one, Once you get people injured it becomes a snowball.
unfortunately face the darkness is bad with calm cause you want low not high terror radius for it which is why I use pentimento instead of face the darkness now.

Penti/Thrill builds are very overpowered against solo Q survivors on just about any killer. its really just easy mode for killer to run that kinda build. because the survivors rarely will coordinate efficiently and will just keep breaking totems and they get relit until the whole team is dead at 3-5 gens.
I’m very good at m1 killers, if you know what your doing Doctor is so good at preventing hexes from being cleaned. Trust me, Swf or good players don’t just win easy. I’ve won 50 games in a row and lost only 1 single time so far. I even know I’ve went against a few comp certified players and won even if it in pubs.
The build won’t coast your victory, but if you know how to play m1’s or Doctor specifically. You can beat most teams with it I assure you. 🙃 -
@Junylar said:
16 hours on the killer means you are still in the baby MMR bracket, where 4k's happen all the time, since brand new survivors don't know how to loop. Play some more until you start getting competent SWFs who will annihilate your hexes within seconds, and will do the last gen just as you are about to relight your pentimento.
brother I have been playing the doctor since 2021 that’s last 30 days not lifetime . It’s always something with this community I swear.

To play devil's advocate I'll provide a perk for each side I think should both be buffed and nerfed.
For Survivors I would probably change HYPERFOCUS so that if you let go of a gen when the perk first activates it goes on a 30 second cooldown, to allow killers interrupting survivors using hyperfocus to actually have an impact.
I would also change STILL SIGHT so the Auras of killers and chests are revealed to ALL survivors until you move again so that perk feels worth bringing and is actually helpful to have in solo queue.
For Killers I would change SPIRIT FURY so that it requires 3 pallets not 2 before it can be activated. I use an ENDFURY HUBRIS build and I've seen just how ridiculously broken it can be on certain killers.
I would change UNDONE so instead of 3 token per missed skill check its 10 tokens and to apply it to a generator you activate it with a prompt instead of automatically, this way you can get real value from it and not waste it in order to kick a gen you want to regress but not block. -

If you have whole build around pallets then I believe you but wraith is pretty easy to outplay at pallets just if survivor has pallet he must wait and mostly 99 works for pallet being put down, smart survivors that know you 99 or know the loop isnt that short and that they can still run it and make it to pallet even if you uncloak due to their smallet hitbox when hugging the loop then they will counter you and then again wraith is just m1 with some good stealth that still isnt great and can be seen by survivors in open maps (they can see your siulet like wet predator from movie and they can hear you when you are close) and solid mobility but calling him stronger with more pallets I wouldnt say its true (if you doesnt have whole build dedicated to dealing with pallets and maybe windows then he is peretty highly effected by them way more then xeno, nemesis, springtrap, doctor and maybe more than bubba) he is solid with addons (without breaking speed or uncloak speed or speed addons he is just below b-tier and requires perfect play against decent survivors due to having no basekit tool to deal with pallets and windows, less chance for pulling bodyblocks and giving survivor more time and distance to reach safety when he is uncloaking).
Some of what you say is true, the thing with Wraith is, when it comes to high level play, its a lot about predicting, strategy and outmaneuvering survivors, if they aren't giving free hits or pallet drops, than you can on some loops uncloak one side and fully swing around to the other. Ppl really underestimate just how fast and how far his uncloak lunge can get you. I don't even need bam with him anymore cause I know how to bodyblock or run people down with my uncloak lunge. Good survivors will try and outplay you so what you need to do is outthink them, which is what I like about Wraith cause I have a strategic mindset when it comes to DBD and Wraith lets me really flex it.

How can killer that is very higly effected by pallets (less with breaking addons but still must play around them) stronger when there is more of them? Wraith can bodyblock but more pallets mean more options so survivors that are blind and know usong their surraundings in for of other objects can make wraiths 1 second of 150% of speed way shorter can still outplay the wraiths block and get to other pallet because there is more of them, other thing is at the end of the day wraith plays mostly as m1 killer and can use hit power to gain easy hits only if he sneaks up on survivors or if he. body blocks the pallet or window that coul that survivor use to outplay his attack. He can use his power in chase but its not that good and only he can do is create like 50/50 where he more likely just is trying to 99 cloak and force pallet down or bait survivor into thinking it will be another fake uncloak but the fully uncloak and get that m1 or pallet at worst but his power has only two addons that help him break pallets faster and short speed boost that can max help him get hit on very unsafe loops or maybe mind game hit on unsafe loop (these are rare and survivor must make mistake by staing at that loop or having slow reaction or doesnt know where some closer loop is or what check spot is because even when wraith is fast for like nearly covering 8 meters in 1 second he still is way slower around loops due to hom having bigger and thicker character model compare to survivor so his effectivenes is way smaller than in open where he needs to bodyblock for guarantee hit most of times).
I cant understand how having more pallets make wraith stronger its like saying more los blockers make huntress or billy stronger (meaning more objects and random clutter that can block their powers and makes them worse than open area).
For me to answer this question you're going to have to be willing to accept that what I am telling you is true.
Most survivors at any skill level, and I swear you this, refuse to predrop pallets against a Wraith, for this reason I rarely 99 an uncloak, I prefer to fully uncloak while standing still and swinging through the pallet during a 50/50. Doing this always gets me a hit at least like 4-6 times a game. This is one reason but for many reasons Wraith is what I call a pallet eater, it is so easy and quick to force surivors to either give you a pallet or take a hit for it.
I have had games where even on the game I've removed like every pallet on the map as Wraith.
My current Wraith build is Brutal, Enduring, Spirit Fury and Hubris. You would not believe how easy and quick it is to gain spirit fury and to trigger hubris on people. My addons also are always Swift Hunt for uncloak speed and either Windstorm for movement speed or Blind Warrior for Sloppy Butcher.
I won't fully go into it, but Shadow Dance is an overrated and unnecessary addon and brutal is just a better all around replacement.
Because of the pallet density changes, it allowed me with this build to trigger spirit fury on people so much my games went like wildfire. I had one match where i downed 3 people in a row with hubris and spirit fury because they gave me so many pallets i just left some for future spirit fury.
If you want further evidence of just how effective this build was during the height of pallet density, I went on a 27 game win streak without relying on slugging, camping or tunneling using this build.
Hope that provides a sufficient explanation. -

They need to work more on the playable quality of the maps; nobody asked for such drastic changes as Crotus Prenn, where they removed all the pallets from the first floor of the main building, and the map is now much smaller than before.
I don't disagree but as a killer player I did find it funny as I 4k'd playing pig with no perks or addons 😄

I don't understand at all why killers would willingly use a VPN to play with bad ping.
I've done this twice now to go from my region of NA to EU but I did it solely for the purpose of seeing for myself just how good EU survivors are compared to NA since everyone loves to gloat how amazing and better they are.
That being said, I play the Wraith, and playing him with 100+ Ping is like playing him powerless, its endlessly frustrating, I can win a lot of games this way but so what.
I never have fun playing with ping that high and the "advantage" of a free hit is never worth it. When I get hit with that ping, yea so once per game I get a free hit, but what survivors don't see is the other 9 out of 10 times I swing at someone through a pallet cause that's my bread and butter strategy and the game fake hits them where I see and hear the hit animation but they don't get injured.
For me, at least as Wraith, I feel SO MUCH more punished using high ping than the survivors are being, and even if I wasn't its so boring and frustrating I would never willingly do it. -
I want a skin for Wraith from the everlasting frost collection.
-
I had an idea for a new survivor item, the item would be an invisibility cloak that is a one time use item that lets the survivor be invisible for a time (similar to the eye of Vecna), however would come with consequences. Your scratch marks and pools of blood would be brighter and when it ends you either become exhausted for a time or maybe even exposed for a short period.
-
Please god no.
-
- Ok so.
1. Eleven and any of the "kids" are just that, kids. They are 17 at the oldest in S5 and you can say age them up or the actors aren't but typically that isn't done in a game about murdering ppl.
I highly doubt any of the kid characters would even be considered for the game.
That being said, I can see ppl like Eddie or Robin being alternate costumes.
The characters are 99% going to be Hopper and Joyce.
But for me personally, if they DON'T do Joyce, that's insane, she's the best and one of the most popular characters in the show.
- Ok so.
-
I liked it when there were more pallets, my Wraith was even stronger than before because of it 😆
-
My friend likes to say I play Nice Guy Killer because I rarely tunnel or slug ppl when I play killer.
For me, I don't do it for two main reasons.
1. I find it way more fun to not tunnel because I actually enjoy the challenge and like flexing my killer skill.
2. I find at least with my killer main, when I do tunnel I struggle more than when I don't especially since so many ppl run second chance perks like DS and Shoulder anyway. -
I'm a Wraith main who plays against max mmr sweat squads and rarely ever tunnels, slugs or camps people, and I don't use a single gen regression perk, but instead just 4 pallet based chase perks, yet maintains a consistent 75-80% killrate.
Its safe to say the only reactions I ever get to telling people this is being trolled, ragebaited, or called low mmr or a liar. -
Honestly none, I'll play any survivor squad, but if I gun to my head had to pick one to say no to it would be bully squad builds revolving around background player, head on, flashlight/flashbang wglf all that stuff. Basically you can't hook me builds.

This is just the opinion of one dedicated DBD player.
While killer can be tough and survivors can be intense to deal with what with their second chance perks, gen rushing and toxicity.
I personally feel like when it comes to this game, a LARGE majority of killer players (non casuals) don't really spend the time to pick a killer they like and actually get to know them properly, learn them, understand them and select builds that genuinely compliment them.
A huge amount of players approach killer like, oh whats the meta perks, pain res, dead mans, and just dumps it on any killer they play. I firmly believe any killer in DBD, be them a tier or d tier, has unique assets that can pair with meta or even off meta perks and when you ask, whats the best build for a killer. Meta doesn't mean best, meta literally means most efficient, and most popular.
A few examples.
I don't play legion, but you will commonly see the Enduring Spirit Fury build on him right now, cause it actually makes him viable.
For killers I do play
Doctor is a c tier killer, but my hex build on him, which centers around protecting devour, is very hard to counter because of the nature of the doctors power.
Even moreso, for all the complaints about the pallet density update, how important tunneling is and how bad gen rushing is and you needing 4 slowdowns. I am a Wraith main, and my current build is literally just enduring, spirit fury, brutal and hubris. I recently went on a 28 game win streak with it without tunneling in any of my games.
No slowdown
No tunneling
In spite of the pallet density update
As a b tier m1 killer.
I'm not saying all of this to ego on people or call other people bad. I'm saying this cause while the game is a bit survivor sided right now, I truly think peoples approach to DBD as a killer player is often misguided, relying more on meta perks and strategies rather than learning to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the killer you play and how to elevate them into something you can use against most players.
I sincerely believe you can do this with most of the killers in the game, if you spend the time to properly learn your killer and test builds to find ones that blend well with the killer, and your playstyle. -

I'm about as non-aggressive of s survivor as you can find. At exit gates, I just leave if we're all safe. I don't BM, rarely sabo, never use flashlights. Doesn't stop killers from hitting me on hook, humping me, or body blocking me post-unhook while counting to ten. Then they talk smack after the game, whether they win or lose.
This isn't a survivor issue. Killlers and survivors alike get mad at losses/BMs in previous matches and take it out on randoms. It's a whole game issue. Saying survivors, who are all different people, deserve to be tunneled is the problem. You have no idea who that person is or how they act, but you might might them into the toxic survivor you hate by thinking like that.
I changed my topic of conversation as I realized after posting it, i'm likely to not be agreed with by most nor the discussion to be constructive either way.
I am curious if ppl think myers is in a good state enough already currently or if the movement restriction is warranted to still go through, I don't see an issue personally in a killer going from d tier to a tier, as long as there is still counterplay, which I think there is, and other things can be rebalanced like his timers. But I think the slaughtering strike would be way better and more fun to use if it had less straightforward applications and could be used to mindgame at a pallet by faking direction which only works if it functions like pigs dash. Currently if you try and do that as myers you are basically locked in place when you collide with an object. -

Yeah, this challenge is beyond impossible, nobody is entering the void, neither survivors or killers, this challenge has to be reviseted since it's not on your control to complete it, you have to rly on others to do it, which is stupid.
Its not that hard, it literally tells you as killer when someone enters the void and if they do it injured they are broken, it also takes them twice as long as killer to obtain their rift item from the void.
Why is everyone treating the quests like they need to be completed in a day, you have like 2 or 3 weeks, just play the game and you'll get it done. I have 10 void hooks already cause every now and than when someone goes in it, i just pick a random void, enter it, find them and down them. -
Say what you will, but you don't NEED to chase every survivor who takes you to 5 pallet loops, take a few out and go check your gens, I'm not saying the update isnt an issue, but I am saying there is things you can do. For M1 killers who don't have great chase, thats what brutal is for, and gen regression perks. if you have good game sense and know the m1 macro gameplay style well, you take out a few pallets per chase, injure a few people, get a few downs, and slowly work your way into a more advantageous map position. Yes it sounds tedious but its how you win with M1 killers now more than ever.
I do it all the time, even as Trapper, Freddy, Ghostface. -

People still play no matter what. Just being honestly - majority of people I know who left this game are killer mains. On survivor side, is more a tendency of DCing without actuall point later. So that's why
PTB and your words have correlation. You can’t say “Banning DCing is too punishable, you can’t address it like this”, while at the same time defending PTB. The CORE system of PTB was about punishing people for playing not in way some people want. It can’t be fixed by tweaks, because the CORE mechanism of anti tunnell is to punish. And PTB wasn't addressing core issue of tunnelling; incentives wasn’t enough, while gen rush was even buffed in twice. Because it's impossible to fix tunnelling due to a nature of 1 vs 4 assym genre. 4 players will always be strongest at their max in point, and just the fact that it can exist doesn't allow killers to get rid of idea to tunnel.
But yeah, you called it people crying over game being more difficult, thats why your arguments doesn't seem sincere and is more about defending some emotional sentiment here
If you were playing a game of basketball, and every time you played with your friends, the other team just walked along the court, never running, never trying and never posing any challenge to you, you'd stop playing basketball.
As a killer, having ppl dc every game, makes games pose no challenge, and makes DBD a boring game that killers won't want to play, because whats the point if no one is gonna actually take it seriously? -

I remember during the anniversary event this year, when tunneling was at an all time high, I played Wraith and Vecna games so well I would win in 7 minutes, and constantly trigger DS on ppl despite the fact I hooked someone else between them.
Even with me winning game after game, 8 hooking and not tunneling, all I ever got was complaints about how boring the game was or me being a "tryhard", cause apparently just being skilled and winning is tryharding.
Cause to survivors, losing is boring, so why bother playing.
Survivors are pussies, and most killers suck so hard at this game they couldn't beat the average team without tunneling. -

It’s amazing what you find out when people actually share their stats rather than claiming without any evidence that one side or the other is way too difficult just to stir up “us vs them” toxicity.
I don’t play as Claudette or Bubba much at all anymore, but I did a lot in my early days of DbD. Bubba is very weak against good survivors unless you play super scummy, and I seem to face good survivors pretty regularly now, so I have to go with higher tier killers to not get stomped.

One big issue with the game IMO, is that a lot of survivors complain about the strong killers, they are who they want the balancing for, and killers (strong or weak but mostly weaker) complain that without dirty tactics like tunneling or slugging, though they win often, they wouldn't if they didn't do that and the games are always frustrating. I spend time in the DBD discord, I can tell you first hand, the amount of players that seem to be able to actually win often without tunneling while not playing an S tier killer, is few and far between.
Don't look at me as evidence is all I'll say. 🤷♂️
Also my TOP killer is Vecna with 77% but I play WAY more Wraith lifetime. -
Wraith and Vecna.

Just one detail on my Wraith, I rarely tunnel when I play him and usually let ppl "try" and find hatch 😬

ya but put a timer on it than, if its within 30 seconds it stays active, after 30 seconds its conditional on no new hooks occuring.

Map offerings have always been a stain on DBD. Its mostly just an avenue for one side to bully the other and DBD is one of the only Online Multiplayer games that let's one side of the game control the map over the other.
It is and was always a terrible thing to have in the game, i'd be happier if they just removed them entirely. -
