I never had any of these but if I were in your position I would still like the OPTION to slighly increase (but not by too much) my chance to go to McMillan.
-
They rightly nerfed Claudette from S-tier but she is still probably the best and still A-tier. Have you tried Jeff? He is good for the "pretending to be a wall" juke but unfortunately he quite loud.
-
I remember back in the old days getting Adept Freddy (the old, old Freddy) when three survivors DC'd and the last one ran up to me and gave up. How I miss those days! It was so much easier.

I mean,i have an unhealthy amount of hours in this game myself but legacy 2.0 just for getting P3 on a character shouldn't be a thing.
I'd rather want to get special skins by completing some kind of challenges for my character (e.g hit 100 survivors with x power or get x amount of flashlight saves)
How about a golden legacy hat then? Or some shiny legacy socks? Doesn't have to be a full costume, but I can't imagine a huge amount of work would need to be put in.
Let's not forget there is somebody at BHVR who has to spend hours designing and creating brown rift charms that nobody will ever look at, never mind adorn their hooks with them. Surely giving Nea a legacy pair of sunglasses wouldn't be too unreasonable. Or a pair of fancy dancing shoes for Blight.
-
You know what would be nice for those of us with thousands of hours? Legacy 2.0.
-
This is because you have to be pushing to 100% for it to count as running. I've had PS4 controllers that after lots of use become unable to hit 100% consitantly and flicker around between 95% and 100%. I suspect that your Switch controllers are also not hitting 100% in the diagonals.
This could be fixed by the devs if they tweak the controls so that pushing to 90% counts as running. I mean, there is a run button, so why would anyone be pressing run but not wanting to be running at full speed?
-
I like the skeleton.
-
Around 52 on every killer. I wanted to be able to play every killer once a week and never run out. Not that I will, but I didn't want anyone to feel left out.
I also got one for Dwight.
-
After a few beers this is the best perk in the game.
-
I agree with you. Surely the point of nerfing the meta perks was to prevent everyone running the same perks. Since both sides clearly have combinations of perks that are too powerful, there will again be no variety.
Just nerf these new overpowered perks before they get released and we might be in a situation where everyone doesn't feel forced to run a meta build.

Overcharge is strong how? It has to build up to get to any relevant regression speed and by the time it even gets up there, someone will be there to touch it if they haven't somehow done it already. It's an average perk at best.
It's very strong against solos. SWFs can communicate to get someone to tap the gen.

OTR is fine, it's anti tunnel perk and 80 seconds doing nothing is worth for killer. Less than 24 hours and already complain?
OTR is not an anti-tunnel perk it's a bodyblocking perk.

I think that since the mods do comment on here quite a bit, and have chosen not to answer any posts on this subject we can probably expect that it is not good news. Just like what happened with the Start Game Uncollapse and 60 fps on last gen consoles. If it was still being worked on, I'm sure somebody would have set our minds at ease, even if it was delayed quite a bit.
-
Yes the bug is still present for me too.

Sometimes I just like to say goodbye to the killer....
That's so nice!

Is using a VPN bannable though? Didn't the devs once impy that VPNs would help prevent DDOS attacks?
-
If four solos are gainst Blight, and the survivors can't find Ruin then its a win for Blight.
Glad to see the back of it.
-
Quick, somebody find a bug so they can extend the event by another week!

Strange, cause I have same survivors on killers I play a lot and on the killers that I play for the first time. Even the same players I recognize by names a lot. I feel its averaged on every killer in my experience at least
Because the killers start at an MMR only a little below your top killer's MMR you will need to lose a fair amount of matches for the MMR change to give you a noticable drop in opponents. My experience is different because there are killers that I do quite well with and others that I often play but usually lose. I love playing Trickster and have played him quite a lot but I am lucky if I get a kill. The MMR seems to have some sympathy and gives me teams that don't destroy me completely.
-
@ShinobuSK said:
You still think each killer you play has different mmr?
Well I play on a controller and comparing my lobbies of default Dwights and Claudettes on my "can't hit a red barn door" ranged killers to my lobbies of teabagging, flashlight clicking SWF death squads on my other killers, suggests they have quite drastic differences in MMR.
-
Once they had decided what the "reward" was going to be, they should at least have strongly advised people that continuing to P3 would not be worthwhile.
I'm sure there are P3 Dredges and Haddies out there that will be particularly annoyed right now.
-
It cost survivors the same total survivor time to self-care (32 seconds) as it took to get a team mate to do it (16 seconds of your time, 16 seconds of theirs). If one survivor spent even a second running to the other, self-care became more time efficient.
It makes sense on paper, but I think it should have stayed as it was. Especially with Circle of Healing being the obvious and far more powerful alternative.

I don't know why I keep seeing complaints about dead hard when we all know theres a rework happening for it.
Because the rework might be a buff.

To be honest I don't really understand the survivor SBMM. I usually play solo so I usually don't escape. This should mean that my MMR is usually going down. So why isn't my survivor MMR zero? Or if it is zero, why am I getting killers that are somewhere between reasonably good and godlike?
-
I thought I would try this myself since ranks have reset. I didn't teleport around at the end and I didn't get it.
-
I think it was a deliberate choice to encourage players to pick the less-favoured and more stressful killer role. I think once demand-based bloodpoint bonuses are implemented it would be quite reasonable to give survivors more.
-
SBMM is much better than the old system.
I've been coaching a new killer main recently. When ranks were used for matchmaking, you would be playing against 4-man rank 1 SWFs within a week. He's been playing for a couple of months and his matches are still mostly fair. They are getting harder but it is a much softer learning curve than it used to be.

I cycle between anyone that's P3 50, excluding Spirit who I got there to prove a point. Everyone with any work put into them except Hag (who I'm working on currently) has every perk up to Sadako unlocked at T3, with Sadako herself having every perk in the game unlocked at T3.
I enjoy killer, which is why you see me give feedback on it far less, because solo survivor is an eternal hellscape that needs addressing alongside top-end killer gameplay.
Killers just abandoned at level 42, 43...46! This gives me anxiety. Level 40, ok that makes sense, grab the teachables and never play them again, okay.
If my Hillbilly was at level 43 I would't be able to sleep without levelling him up to 45 first!
-
You have to start again. I had to do the Trophies on PS4, PS5 and now PC.
(All except Skilled Huntress. I'm not doing that ridiculous trophy)
-
Maybe its to help out Trickster and Huntress players.
-
You can't look at hours at all to judge skill when comparing different players. You can compare yourself with 2000 hours to yourself with 500 hours but not to another player. How good was Ayrun or Fungoose with only 500 hours for example? Probably way better than I would be with 10000 hours.

Those are exceptions they are not the majority. Generally speaking the more time an average persons invests into something. The more skilled they will become at that thing.
While that is true, you can't compare one person's 500 hour investment into a game to someone else's 500 hour investment into a game.
Also my PS5 account has 2500 hours, my Steam account has 250 hours. But my skill (or lack of) is the same on both platforms.

By the Entity's power but yes, in a sense, he was. I always poked him in the match XD
You still can. As long as you are playing against The Dredge.

Ahh that explains why, sometimes I get constant fair matches, then on a different day, I get completly stomped
To be honest I think that every killer should lobby dodge pre-made lobbies until BHVR disable this. There is a very high chance that pre-made lobbies are either going to stomp you or you are going to stomp them. Both scenarios are unacceptable.
-
I let a David go because I thought he was doing the No Mother challenge. Then he teabagged me at the gate. He wasn't doing the challenge, and didn't even have an exhaustion perk to give me a clue.
If I tunnel any of you out of the game, you can blame that David.
Edit: I've seen my typo. I'm leaving it in because it made me chuckle.

Your rarely played/never played killers MMR is based on your best killer but slightly lower. Now I believe (but not sure) that the first time you play a killer it effectively stamps your current MMR on that killer. Then it adjusts to how you play that killer.
I am the probably in the bottom 5 worst Huntresses (EU) but I do still sometimes play her. There is no way my Huntress MMR is even at the starter MMR level, so at any time I can (and do) effectively test whether MMR is working or not. Every time I play Huntress I am against the default Dwights and Claudette's that clearly lost all their first few matches. My stubbonness to keep trying to hit people with hatchets on a controller means that usually 2 or more will escape, lowering my Huntress MMR even more.
I only disagree with your title though. MMR IS working by killer, but it just doesn't lower you enough for new killers.

That is actually quite interesting!

I know it's not the greatest solution but there are really only 3 options because I doubt Xbox or PlayStation will ever get cross progression.
1. Stay on PS4
2. Buy a PS5 and keep all of your progress (current gen console versions run great)
3. Start over on PC
Buying a PS5 is the best option IMO if you can afford it. They've been slightly easier to buy at MSRP lately if you're patient as well. It'll still never compete with mouse and keyboard but it runs just as good as the PC version
I bought a PS5 and PC. PS5 is definitely a great option. The frame rate is really good and being in 4K makes it so much easier to make out detail in the distance. You have to redo your trophies which is a shame (Adept Nurse twice on a controller?) but keeping all your progress is great.
Obviously you have to redo achievements if you get the game on PC too but the grind is due to reduce soon so getting your favourite perks unlocked shouldn't be too bad. It hasn't taken me too long to get the teachable perks I wanted on PC. Getting all perks on all killers again would be out of the question without the upcoming bloodweb changes though.
As for buying the DLC again? Personally I think it is worth it, especially if you pick them up in a sale. I play the game enough to justify it.

For the tens of millions of lost bloodpoints I spent on P3'ing all my fave characters, it would be an absolute kick in the teeth for them to hand me a 'good work chump' charm
I think I would be fine with a decent reward AND a 'good work chump' charm though.
-
Are you playing games with pre-made lobbies? If you dodge pre-made lobbies where all 4 survivors were already waiting for you, you should find your opponents will be based on YOUR MMR, otherwise you will be facing a team that some other killer dodged when they looked up their opponents hours.
Also, exactly what @Pulsar and @Tsulan said too.
-
Good players should face other good players.

I wish I had this experience.
Under the old system I could hover in the green/purp and generally have good games. Sometime mismatched up or down but mostly comfortable fun.
Now its 10x super strong survivor team losses typically highly obnoxious play and generally unenjoyable followed by 3x down everyone at 5 gens still up and stand there wondering if I should let them get up or just end it there.
Can't recall the last 'balanced' feeling match I had where I could play my usual half arsed self and not either end up having to sweat through my shirt to get 1 kill or wreck face in 2mins.
Survivor definitely feels more consistent but my killer games are all over the shop and mostly unfun as a result.
For me its the survivor games that are the roughest. I probably keep a 2 kill average as killer (usually in a pattern of 4 kills then zero hooks though) so my MMR is probably about right. Survivor though, the killer usually 4Ks my survivor games when I play solo. My MMR must be in negative numbers by now.

@Carrow said:
If that's true, that's a huge step forward (or backward, since with grades when I started DBD in 2020-21 I was matched appropriately with other new players). Now if only they got it to work mid-high level...
The old system had the problem that as soon as your killer hit green rank, you regularly faced red rank survivors. That never seemed fair to new players because you could get to green rank quite easily. I used to encounter a lot of AFK Wraiths back in those days, trying to drop a color rank or two.
Still get them occasionally now. Which makes little sense.
-
I have DBD on PS4, PS5 and PC (which I play on controller). That means I have to down 220 survivors from across the map. So far, after playing for several years, I have managed 0.
Well done on your 20!
-
Have you ever seen one of those amazing survivor juking videos? I play the killer.

The streamer I've just finished playing against called me a speed hacker when I popped in to their stream to say gg. I'm just watching the VOD back and they are calling me that all the way through. Of course chat agrees with them.
That's the problem with the existance of speed hacks, most of the time you just can't tell if it is hacks or just perception. And when streamers say it, everyone believes them.
I know these hacks exist, but I don't think they are as prevelant as everyone thinks. And no, I wasn't speed hacking.
