Wow! This new doom wad looks great!
Wow, I so want to play Doom on the Eyrie of Crows now!
Or DBD on E1M1.
-
I use space so that I can dead hard by mashing my face into my keyboard.
-
So you think sombody should never be allowed to play the game again just because I chose to camp and tunnel them? Seems rather harsh.
-
Wow I didn't even realise it was this month. I'm cautiously excited!
-
They abandoned it early because the clock in BHVR towers only has 12 hours on it, and they realised they don't know what number 13 looks like.
-
My favourite type of dressing is probably ranch.
My least favourite is aim.
It would be nice to turn it off as the devs and the players dispute whether it causes killers to miss or not. If some players don't want it, then disabling it should be an option.

Yeah, of course they do this when there's no Rift.
I don't think they've ever done double XP before. I'm already embarrassed about my Devotion level, I don't want to inflate it with a 2x event if there's not even a Rift to work on.
That is exactly what I was thinking!
Although I'm not just embarrased about how many hours I have put into it, but also how my devotion level would suggest I should be quite a lot better than I am.
-
No, everyone would just play around it by running in one direction for however many seconds it is, then switching and running somewhere else. It would become an annoying start game dance.
-
It was the best map. Poor homeless Demogorgon.
-
My happiness will be the inverse of how happy content creators are with it.
-
I'd rather have no indicater than a misleading one.
But I would also like some indicator of whether I am getting better at the game, preferably a rough idea of where my MMR is or at least whether the team I faced was significanltly better or worse than me.
I'd switch chat off though so they couldn't rub my pathetic MMR rating into my dumb potato face.

Would prefer double BP , still have to grind a ton of perks but I will take the shards too
Oh Wow, double XP. I mentally processed it as double BP. I nearly booted up the game! Thank you!
-
I think Coldwind Farm should be next for a visual rework. I think they would look really good if they made them night time maps.
-
Apparently, like many of us, Demo has moved on to other games now. While I wish him all the best, seeing him with another game is still heartbreaking.
Does your new game love you like we did Demo?
I'm not crying, you're crying.
-
I'd say don't lose on purpose, but switching killer builds from meta to "fun" should help keep your MMR in the fun zone.

Maybe you should expand abit your search for games, many ppl tempt to stick with very similar games of the other "main game", it can be helpful but mostly its better to try out completly other games from that.
I did enjoy XCom 2 but only after recreating all my soldiers as DBD characters.
I might have a problem.
-
I only play DBD. I dabble with other games but most seem like a chore and I always end up coming back.

smh make salty lips meta offerings
That offering is broken. Last time I used it, I was matched against a high skilled meta Blight and my teammates all DCd.
You were supposed to bring me luck Salty Lips!

I think Dead Hard should be two separate perks, one perk that lets you lunge for distance but you can still be hit, and another that lets you be very briefly invulnerable but that doesn’t give extra distance. Both effects are useful on their own that they’d see use.
I think it would be interesting to see how many people would pair both dead hards. Making it effecitvely take two slots up to equate to the current dead hard doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Probably what I am going to do. I started Fortnite and Apex again and I am having a blast.
If Fortnight has become more appealing than DBD then that really shows how low people's opinion of DBD has become.
I do think DBD is improving though (as glacial as that might be). There may be MMR improvements on their way but I can't see optimisation for last gen happening now people are moving to the newer consoles unfortuantely.
-
People who like MMR think that best killers should be the ones that face the best SWFs and the newer and less skilled players should be matched together. That seems reasonable.
It's the game balance, stale meta and the lobby backfilling causing the problems not the MMR itself. The MMR needs to completely ringfence the top players from the worst players so they never play eachother but loosen normal matchmaking so veteran players can have a break from sweaty matches.
-
Keep that number coming down!
-
Your casual fun game is probably a miserable game for your opponent.
When SBMM works it should give you teammates and opponents of similar ability. It's not aiming to be an esports game its simply aiming to reduce those matchups where one side is significantly better than the other.
-
This is why I wish I was a survivor main. They never change their perks.
-
If a new charm isn't brighter than the three I already have on my hook, it simply isn't getting used. I feel sorry for the people whose job it is to create brown charms knowing that nobody will ever equip them. Or even look at them.
-
I'm disappointed to have no representation from the oceans.
-
Why wouldn't you have the shark too?

The current hacks include:
- Two killers against 3 survivors.
- Flying killers with fast shooting iri hatchets.
- Subtle speed boosts for survivors.
- Head on that not only stuns the killer for 1 whole minute or so, but also removes collisions of the killer.
- DDos attacks.
And yet you think flashlight macros are the problem?
This game has too many bugs to fix and that is not the highest priority in BHVR's views.
As @cordonrouge said, adding a cooldown on a flashlight would not take a long time to add. "Fixing hacking" absolutely will, especially as that is a moving target.
-
I only act entitled in this game as I am not emotionally invested in any other.
-
Been really good for me. Except for backfills, those are horrible. Previous killer lobby dodged these teams for a reason!

Then you aren't doing it right. There is a "feature" that kind of exploit the camera to turn way faster than you are supposed to as survivor. Can do almost instant 180°. If you do that right next to the killer, you can manage to be out of his line of sight. Killers do not have that camera bug so they comparatively turn as a liner.
Well that's certainly possible. An Ayrun style 360 looks really fast on my screen but from the killers perspective, it looks normal speed.
-
From the SBMM perspective you are playing 4 simultaneous 1v1 games. If you kill 1 survivor your rating goes up, but unless the other survivors DC (probably) or get the hatch your rating will go up or down for the other survivors too.
2 kills does not guarantee your MMR stays the same as higher MMR survivors that get killed and lower MMR survivors that escape affect your MMR by a greater degree compared to those that are around your level.
-
I was still excited for it. But any chapter that doesn't include a map will always be a little underwealming for me. I was also hoping for a few surprises to be thrown in that weren't in the PTB as we have had teases about upcoming changes.
-
Despite YouTube videos saying otherwise, I'm not convinced that spinning your camera actually makes any difference to your spins, and if it does it can't make much difference. I tried a custom game and the other player couldn't tell when I was spinning my camera and when I was not.
-
Open the killer tutorial and get to the bit where you have to down Meg. Practice chasing her without hitting her but try to keep her in the middle of the screen at all times so she never leaves your screen. This should teach to use smooth motion and avoid the clack clack of the stick against the sides of the controller.
When swinging get used to swiping an arc rather than just pointing at the survivor. This gives you a larger hit box.
A really good Huntress streamer I sometimes watch switches his controls to 35% sensitivity to play her and then back to 75% for basic attack killers. I wouldn't stray from this unless you get comfortable with the controls. 75% should be sufficient to counter 360s.

Soon can mean anywhere from 3 months to 2 years.
Please be fair. I'm sure this will be done the patch after 60fps on console.

Fun fact: my first thought at this was that they were teasing a Bioshock chapter for the anniversary, because of the ocean.
I know I'm jumping through hoops and they probably aren't but a man can dream :(
Jaws chapter!

Yeah, for some reason they are resetting them for everybody on march 8th
It makes me think they are changing the rituals completely. We might get more rituals, or separate survivor and killer rituals.
-
They say that are fixing the backfill issue soon so that should help.
Unless you are actually losing all your survivor matches of course.
-
I like to switch from toxic flashlight Nea to a default itemless Dwight at the last second to mess with their heads.
Maybe get them to waste a slot on Lightborn/Franklin's too!

Old heads of the forum, can you recommend me the best sluzzy posts that I can go through in my spare time.
That's like asking what's the best star trek episode. Start at the start and enjoy them all. Picking and choosing ruins the experience.

I genuinely love the MMR. So many people blame it for everything. Facecamped? Blame MMR. Killers too good? MMR. Teammates bad? MMR again.
The devs do insist that the MMR is accurate when its not prioritising quick matches. Now it is time to prove that by ringfencing the new and the bad, the average, the good and the elite.
No Legacy flashlight moonwalking Nea, you can't play with me. I've got a team of default Dwights to kill.
-
Turning off crossplay gives you a reduced chance of cheaters but an increased chance of 4 person SWFs. If you get a lot of cheaters then its probably a good idea to turn if off because if you get a lot of cheaters your MMR is probably high enough for you to not care about SWFs.

That is also my personal experience. In fact, my teammates kill me more often than the killers. I have the following situations:
- I'm running towards a 99% gate and nobody is there to open it -> RIP
- I run towards a 99% gate and someone stands there but doesn't open it and runs away. (Like Cheryl yesterday and it wasn't the first time)
- I run towards a 99% gate, a survivor opens it, I get knocked out , because I dont get a protection hit. The killer hits the other survivor and bye bye -> RIP
You missed one:
4 - You run toward the 99% gate and you have time! When you get there, it wasn't a 99% gate, it was a 98% gate. Dead.
-
I've been killed more by 99% doors than I have Blood Warden. I say if you are a solo survivor, 99% the door and wait by it. If someone gets downed, wait for them to be hooked then open the door and go and help with the rescue.
Unless it is Noed then just leave.
-
People that still play don't hate the game, but some can become frustrated at the slow pace of changes. There have been improvements in some of the most frustrating elements but others such as the stale meta, weak killers and relative SWF strength are things that really could have been addressed a long time ago by a company the size of BHVR that only have one game.
-
I honestly don't know if that is true, but we do know that hackers have claimed to have had bots create hundreds of Epic accounts in the free week, so getting banned may not cause them anything more than a minor inconvenience.
-
Ah nostalgia:
Old DS, even older DS, old Object of Obsession, old Ruin, old Undyling, old Balanced Landing, old keys, old Moris, old Windows of Opportunity, Trapper having one trap, Old Legion, games versus Hillbilly lasting less than two minutes, Forever Freddy, old Spirit, fewer killers.
They were the days.
-
As someone who always slow vaults into Pinhead's loving arms when trying to remove chains, I would love a bit more customisation to the controls.
