Do you know who is worse than that person who has no argument and so uses the toxic phrase "git gud"?
Those who clicked "Awesome" underneath it!
I see well reasoned argument, paragaphs of cleverly though out opinion and well written dialogue. They get nothing. A single Git Gud? Three ######### awesomes!

Aliens can climb walls. That would be an interesting mechanic.

This is something I would love to see in the game as well, I think it would be great to be able to see exactly how you succeeded or failed in your match. It would also negate the need for video evidence for reports.
I'd genuinely be scared to do anything if mods were watching my every move, just in case I did something dumb that might look suspicious.
Then I'd get banned for fecklessness.
-
The amount of times I've lost a survivor and I'd LOVE to be able to see how I got juked!

I mean, if both of them are SWF and do it only to each other, yeah, for them it is no problem. But there are two other Survivors in this game who will suffer because of this. I would not like to lose a game because it is a 2v1 instead of a 4v1 because two guys are fooling around. So yeah, this should be bannable.
And even if 4 people are doing that to each other for fun (4 man SWF), in theory the Killer can report it, because he wants to play the game properly. Dont know if this would be bannable then, probably not.
Yes the other survivors will suffer, but they would suffer less than two survivors that run around not doing anything or hiding in lockers for the entire games, neither of which is reportable.
These two were being somewhat helpful to their teams doing gens etc but as soon as they saw me they would throw a pallet down to block their team mate or block the other in a corner.
-
Currently, every time I get over 900K I do two full level 50 bloodwebs for anyone I am trying to level up (which is around 100K). I'm the same as you, I want to get as much points into the new characters as possible (without wasting a single measily bloodpoint by going over 1 million).
I will get level 1 Self care on Jeff! I will!
-
So if two survivors were deliberately sandbagging eachother, and a third survivor reported them, would they both get a ban or would it be considered just fooling around?
-
I don't know for sure but wearing matching costumes makes me think that they probably were swf. But since they were both sandbagging each other and nobody else makes me think that they were just having fun.
I have unintentionally sandbagged people. Nobody would be able to prove any deliberate act so I don't see how a single sandbagging would be reportable.

Its always the feng min with the bob blowing up a generator lmfao
Feng Mins that blow up generators are people that have had a couple of beers and have equipped their "drunk build" that includes the technician perk to lessen the effect of missed skill checks.
Source: I play as Feng Min with a bob and the technician perk after I have had a couple of beers.

Legion masks showing some of their faces (like one side or just the top or bottom)
More survivor hair colours for the existing designs

I noticed you only mentioned Survivor Perks 🤨
Some killers perks are useful for one killer and less useful on another. As a result, I am probably using most of the good perks across the range of killers. I don't feel as if there are many bad killer perks.
But since the survivors are just skins, once I have a favourite perk loadout, I tend to stick with it. Most variation comes from those survivors that don't have what I want unlocked.
I do have slightly different builds based on what mood I am in though: I use Claudette with a stealth build and Kate with a build to help me in chases.
-
If you manage to open the exit gates and nobody has been sacrificed, it is best to forgo the traditional 100 teabags and leave immediately. If the killers hasn't fully sacrificed anyone there is a high chance the killer will pull his Ethernet cable out to deny you your points.
If somebody is on a hook you should leave them dangling just in case someone rescues them and forces the rage quit.
-
Topless Kate
Topless Feng
Topless Meg
Topless Claudette
Topless Nea
Topless Jane
Bottomless David
-
I always like to have an Adam in my team. He'll be the one that comes for me when the exit gates are open, he'll be the one that takes a hit so I can escape, he won't farm me for bloodpoints.
-
Cleanse x totems
Cleanse x totems in a single match
Cleanse x non-dull totems (or whatever they are called)
As a team, cleanse ALL the totems in a single match
Escape WITHOUT personally cleansing any totems would also be a fun one, especially if you spot Noed at the end of a game.
I'd be happy with all of these.
-
I hope they don't abandon it completely. I don't know if they just had a toddler tantrum and thought, "You think it's too easy to rank up? Let's see what you make of this then!"
-
That would be cool. I can only play somebody like Huntress at rank 15, and Nurse I would need to be at rank 21.
I don't know what would happen at rank reset though because you wouldn't be able to level up your killers quickly and you would find most of them would be at rank 20.

I used to get highly stressed as Killer, constantly outplayed and taunted.
But now that I’ve changed my focus from downing and killing as quickly as possible to how do I play to make it as difficult as possible for the survivors to repair gens, my wins went through the roof.
I play Freddy.
4 sacrifices almost all my games now.
Please elaborate? I've just had a really fun daily quest as Freddy, I was doing really well but before I knew it, Everyone was out of the gates, zero kills.
-
I used to watch all my movies at 1.5 speed as I found them a chore to watch and it saved time.
Then I thought, why am I watching movies if they are a chore to watch?
Now I don't watch movies and save even more time.
Movies suck. (Except for Ghostbusters)
-
Since full costumes cost more than DLC anyway, I don't think it would be too expensive.
I would happily pay full costume prices to have Trapper's Jason outfit and Legion's Ghostface outfit.
-
On the PS4, if the killer DCs the survivors lose all the points they obtained in the entire game. On the PC, the survivors get to keep their points AND get 5000 survival points.
How is that fair?
-
Mesmerising. I am often that pig.
But when I'm the survivor in that situation the chase lasts 0.1 seconds!

@OrionsFury4789 Ah, I see what you mean now. I personally try to avoid dodging lobbies. The most recent lobby I have ever dodged was just some flashlight spammer in the PTB just because his clicking was annoying and I just had him last game. However in general I will play games against any lobbies the game throws at me. It can be 2 flashlights it can be 4 toolboxes, I don't care about the outcome of my matches anymore. I got to rank 1 the other day and all I saw were de-rankers. The fun of Dead by Daylight is meeting the different players. That, and trying to scare the hope out of every player I meet.
I wish people wouldn't dodge but I honestly don't put it past them. I have had times where I queue up and then as survivors start to enter I remember I wanted to wash the dishes or something so I leave. Was the "dodge" irritating for them? Sure, but most folks don't like afk games either so I will go with the lesser of the two evils.
A lot of lobby dodgers don't know that playing against multiple flashlight users can lead to some of the most fun games. In my experience they are often far less serious than the typical survivor, farming and sandbagging eachother is quite common. I don't even use Lightborne against them (Mad Grit though!)

Taunting has been in literally every game ever, sometimes even encouraged, if you don't let it bother you it gets old and boring real quick for the taunter, but if every killermain and their parents have to cry about it on forums then yeah it's gonna become a thing.
It's a shame the killers cannot taunt. The pig can teabag a little but she's got bad knees.

Occasionally the reason is that one of them wants to find the Hatch no matter how long it takes. At least this could be solved by removing the dumbest thing about the Hatch: the BP reward (2500 I think). There's no sane reason why a Hatch escape should give extra BP - exit gate escape takes more effort. I'm not even mad about the hatch mechanics as so many other killers are, but the reward is incredibly stupid.
Other than that, there's not much else you can do. If you regularly record your games (I do it almost all the time now, it's quite simple), you can actually report the ones who really drag it on for too long (more than 5 minutes I'd say), because this falls into the "holding the game hostage" category, and reporting doesn't have any effect without video evidence.
I agree. It should be fewer points considering that you can escape through the hatch when only two gens have been done!
-
I've convinced myself that teabagging is a friendly gesture. After all, it is when survivors greet each other at the start of the match.
"Bye-Bye" they say, as they leave, with their bums.
If you watch YouTube videos or streams you see a lot of T-baggers have a friendly chat with the killer at the end of game so there is no reason to assume they mean any ill will towards you.
-
I've got my Auric Cells purchased ready for some Jane Romero cosmetics!
Yes, I am part of the problem.
-
Having DBD on both PC and PS4, console is my preference. Bigger screen, comfier chair and no post-match abuse. Just lets not discuss frame rate.
Not lobby dodging as a rule adds a fun element to it as you wait anxiously to see how many Toolbox Claudettes you will have to endure!
I also ilke it when multiple flashlights turn up as I am am giving a game to a group that have probably sat waiting 20 minutes to play a game.
-
I was planning to put half my points into Jane and the other half to Aldiris. I guess I'll end up with neither being usable on day 1 if I do that. I'd like to see the cap allow both new characters to be at level 50.
Also there are so many garbage perks infecting the bloodwebs, even hitting level 50 is unlikely to give you many usable level 3 perks.
-
Isn't the point of the new matchmaking system that if there are no people at your rank, the matchmaking system starts looking for people further away from your rank? If that's the case then the ranking system can stay because I don't want to be giving rank 1s easy wins.
-

I just had a match with 3 kills, one escaped trought the hatch and I got the entity displeased. Match lasted a fair amount, chases were won and I got the BP.
Just what the hell is this system? I get the idea but this isn't working at all.
At worst that HAS to be a black pip. (e.g. if you one hooked everyone) I don't want to see people slugging to prevent hatch escapes because I hate slugging and being slugged.

Nah.. and the rank reset is gonna be even more of a ######### show.. can't wait till that happens this month.. I hope they get those changes in before it happens.
And ... The higher you go.. the less people.. so good luck in match making :)
The new matchmaking system seems to be matching people from a wider range of ranks. I wonder if they are experimenting with what to do if there is nobody available at your rank.
-
I see the pips as the entitity's way of assessing how entertained he was (eg. The Entity is displeased).
In the old system I once tried the Insidious Leatherface camping in the basement trick. (I was new to the game, I didn't know any better!) I killed everyone but it wasn't satisfying for me, the survivors, or more importantly, the Entity.
An easy victory doesn't deserve much reward. I didn't pip, I didn't get many points, I got what I deserved.
-
When someone comments that they are red rank, my thought will be, "oh you must be quite good then" as opposed to "oh you must play a lot then".
-
People will just have to learn to play a more balanced game. Relying on a Mori, camping survivors on their first hook until they die and just Urban Evading everywhere until the gates open should not be sufficient to earn a pip.
-
Old system, me as survivor in red ranks - Play against:
Hillbilly,Hillbilly,Hillbilly,Hillbilly,Hillbilly,NOT Hillbilly, Hillbilly,Hillbilly,NOT Hillbilly, Hillbilly
New system, me no longer good enough for red ranks:
Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,HILLBILLY,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,Not Hillbilly,
LOVE IT!!!
-
I prefer this new system. The goal is to make ranks mean something. Right now I am a red rank survivor that is only there because of how much I've played this month, not how well I've played this month. With this new system I will be dragged down to whereever I really belong,
The devs are addressing the common "rank means nothing" complaint. If this means I'm really a rank 15, then so be it, as long as others I am playing with are at my skill level.
I would like to see black pips being the norm and pips and depips being for particularly good or bad games to ensure that rank has been earned for perfomance, not time.

I think, from a marketing pov, they gonna release a licensed killer this summer.
Having dedicated servers is huge, so they kinda need to go huge on the killer aswell.
Thid summer dbd will burst its playerbase, if there is a licensed killer.
New chucky movie comming this summer, you never know what bhvr might pull off
I really hope we don't end up with new robot chucky.

Idk why you wouldn’t want aftercare , it’s pretty good. I personally like using it when playing solo.
I use Aftercare on Jeff, but that's because I have don't have Self-Care, Empathy, Bond or any med-kits for him.
I will pick it If I want to play as Jeff some more, but when I get Jeff to level 40 I'll be forced to pick between Breakdown and Distortion and I really don't want those in other players bloodwebs until the characters I main have more of my favourites at level 3.
-
They should target one a year as I'm sure potential new players will be attracted to the pull of well known characters. The original killers have more scope because they are not subject to any licencing or pre-existing lore that must be adhered to but seeing Freddy or Michael Myers in DBD is something special.
I especially feel sorry for poor Terminator who probably thought he was getting in this game and ended up alone in the Deathgarden with nobody playing with him.

They should give teachables an extra slot in the bloodweb if they do appear outside levels 30, 35 and 40. I started playing survivor after ages of playing killer and I made sure not to make the mistake of getting every single teachable so they don't infect my main character.
Yes, if someone gets to level 35 and hasn't picked either teachable, it could give a third bloodweb slot for a random perk. Alternatively, it could randomly pick one of the teachables plus a normal non-teachable perk.
-
@George_Soros lol, well...yes.
But think of it this way: Unlocking a single unwanted perk means that for the other 14 survivors, needing maybe 50,000 bloodpoints to complete a single bloodweb, then do that three times (for each level) requires 2.1 million bloodpoints! That's a lot for a perk I am actively trying to avoid.
If my sums are wrong I'm deleting this post!
-
@PureHostility said:
You don't have to pick it, it will just keep showing up in new bloodwebs until you finally do pick it.
You have to pick one of them at level 35 if you didn't pick the one at level 30.

Felt compelled to revisit this as it just happened again to remind me: that's not even to mention the fact that it barely works now, even if you don't have arthritis, and you don't get tired or miss a single freaking beat, it STILL frequently and regularly will just cut off your struggle with no apparent reason! And that's immensely more frustrating when doing it is such a PITA nuisance. Especially if someone's inches away from pulling you off..
I need to quickly swap from mashing x with thumb to forefinger because my thumb is aching and....suicides. Happens all the time!

Honestly, Billy is the most fine tuned killer. Every other single killer needs to be buffed and nerfed to his level. That's how the game should be. In fear of the killer and needing to either watch around you while on the gen or get the ######### off it quickly.
Yes I'd certainly be happy with buffing the others to match. Followed by a buff to solos or nerf to SWFs to compensate.

@Acromio said:
For the umpteenth time, git gud. You're the problem, not the Hillbilly. Oh, and Leatherface isn't balanced at all. He's terrible. His chainsaw is just a glorified pallet breaker. So I wouldn't use him as a good example of "killer that has a counter".
Hillbilly is way above the power of the other killers. He needs to be balanced to be more in line with the others. A team of red rank solo survivors can easily be all downed in a matter of a few minutes against a rank 1 or 2 billy and its game over. This simply does not happen against the other killers.
Repeating "git gud" is sticking your head in the sand. It does not fix the problem because there are 4 survivors against a killer not 1. A single survivor that got gud cannot do all 5 gens themselves, All 4 of them need to do it.
Having one overpowered killer leads to every game in red ranks being against the same killer. How does gitting gud fix the monotony of Hillbilly game, Hillbilly game, Hillbilly game, Hillbilly game?
PC owners are so lucky to have Nurse matches for variety!
-
If Billy was released today he would be a 110% speed killer.
