I'm glad he doesn't speak in-game, that would have been a terrible move. I think I'd prefer it if only the person playing Ash could hear his voice.

The difference is that you LOSE all your accumulated bloodpoints if the killer DCs on console. I don't mean you get no credit for the win, I mean that for every gen you did - zero points, all the chases - zero points, all the rescues you made - zero points. You literally come out of the game with a score of zero, just because the killer got upset and quit.

@GraviteaUK - To get all through the game with all 5 gens done only to have the killer DC quit on you is worse because you get zero bloodpoints on PS4.
Playing survivor I would rather have every other team member DC on me than the killer because I will at least come away with SOME bloodpoints.

@Mushwin - Yes - Part of the enjoyment is the anticipation - As killer, please don't give me swamp. As survivor don't give me the game. That's part of the fun.
Rage quitting is bad but understandable, calm quitting is unforgivable. Give me survivor game as Quentin against the Legion on the game or a killer game as the Nurse against 4 Bruce Campbells on the swamp I still will not quit and ruin other people's games.
Also remember, on PS4 if the killer quits, zero bloodpoints for EVERYONE even if they have done 5 gens and are at the exit games. Consider others please.

The game may have its issues - The DS buff being a huge mistake, The devs should listen to its fans. But other games? What is there out there? On the "What other games are you playing" thread, there is just a list of crap.
I hope you and others that are leaving come back.

@Grim - The pips required is less stringent at rank 15 so you will pip and rank up. As you get higher up the ranks you need to prove your worth. Difficult wins are rewarded more than easy wins on the assumption that you are more likely to have faced a tough team and avoided camping.

If you've easily killed them, they probably were not that good. Should you earn a pip if you get matched with 4 rank 15s and trounce them? I'd hope not. As long as you didn't depip I think that it ok.

I'd like each killer and survivor to have a 5th perk that has to be one of their teachables. I know that makes it even harder to balance but they could at least try it out in a PTB or as an event.
Unfortunately there are a few that don't have any useful perks though.

@Zillence - How often do you get to the point where you need to report someone? Other than a few bots and couple of Claudettes refusing to leave I've never had a real need to to report anybody.

It was working great when they first introduced the new matchmaking system, but when they reintroduced it, we got the mismatched ranks AND the long waiting times.
Its annoying as I very rarely got matched with people with bad pings anyway. Its a shame they don't give us a tickbox to opt-in to play other regions because that might be why we are waiting so long now.

For some reason I had a survivor watch me get hooked, walked up to me, crouched and nodded for a while and then pretended to rescue me a few times (where you grab off the hook but don't follow through).
The killer felt sympathy, hooked them and gave me the hatch.
I REALLY want to know what I did to offend the other survivor though but I thought asking them would lead to trouble.

Am I the only one that loves these maps? I don't know what it is about them but many of my most enjoyable killer games have been on these.
Not as Michael though. Survivors have taken the corn and spanked my bottom with it as him.

@DwikeyMain84 Prestiged Ash would be awesome. I've just got Laurie to level 49 and was going to use her for the prestige trophies. Not now!

They should protect the yellow ranks from having to face red ranks. The rank 11 player was probably the only one that could have given you any trouble at all.
Otherwise I'd be happy to see a wide range of ranks in games if it keeps waiting times low. When they reverted the matchmaking system back to the old system I would have been happy to play against 4 rank 1 survivors instead of just sitting in a lobby for 30 minutes.

I'm always wary about backing out. I'm never sure if I get put to the back of the queue but it feels like it helps.
Those 5 days cross over the time where they reverted the matchmaking system so that's wierd. I couldn't get a killer game at all yesterday so I hope its just a one-off.

I think its best to play for bloodpoints not for pips. As long as I don't hit rank 15 or red ranks I don't mind where I am. There are no rewards so its for bragging rights only.

We allowed people to complain on the forums about the new improved system and not enough of us defended it. We only have ourselves to blame.

My upranking is slowed down and games when I would usually would get a 2 pip, I only get 1.
So the time I spent in mid ranks is longer and can enjoy the game longer, because I do not hit the toxic red ranks that early.
People could complain that I want "ez matches", but in fact, I myself doubt that I belong in that ranks.
If all of you think that the powerlevel of survivor atm is correct, than I don't belong there. I think survivor are still to strong and that really shows at the high ranks.
Since I do not play the top tier killer (Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit), I am at a severe disadvantage at high ranks and don't want to play there.
The new pip system keeps me at my proper rank (at least for the state of gamebalance that we have now); at least it keeps me there longer.

I liked the new matchmaking system. I am sad that it has gone. I don't mind playing the occasional game with mismatched ranks. It's better than waiting and waiting and waiting.
Next time the devs improve something, we need to make sure we go on the forums and tell them because most of what they see is people moaning about everything and anything.
I have grown two beards whilst waiting. I literally grew one, shaved it off and grew a second one and am still waiting.

Mrs Jawsisthenext killer watched Jaws every day for a month so it was on my mind. I like the idea of the entity placing a big ugly fish killer in the game and waiting for everyone to start whining "how can it move without water", "how can it breath", "why is a shark moonwalking when they can't go backwards" etc.

It was too easy to get to red ranks by doing very little before as survivor. Now you have to earn your pip. As long as the end result is that the better players get higher up the ranks and the worse players stay low I'm all for it. If you're in red rank it doesn't matter if you are rank 1, 2, 3 or 4 so as long as you black pip.

It looks the same to me. Graphics and frame rate seem the same as pre-patch. I'm on the PS4 Pro so they might have changed the resolution to get the same frame-rate as on the pro.
Are any other PS4 Pro owners seeing any difference?

It's amazing that Jason is so iconic when you consider how terrible the movies are. On the other hand, the Wishmaster movies were really good and nobody remembers the Djinn.
Wasn't Freddy vs Jason quite good though? I can't remember.

Some people beleive twitching on the hook means "camping - do gens" and holding arms up longer means "all clear - come and get me".

I like the rituals for survivors I haven't levelled up. Escaping with Claudette isn't a challenge. "Escape with Quentin" would give me a reason to use him and a reason to feed him a few bloodpoints.
Hit 4 survivors with Nurse though? Delete.
