it is so annoying survivors can still 99 exit gates to prevent the end game timer the exit gates NEEDS to have Passive regression or the end game timer could start when the last gen is completed by that way the survivors can't 99 the gates they need to eather open it or passivly regress if they need to help other survivors of hooks etc this way endgame whould be so much fun for both sides!!

the thing there is now that survivor 99 gates stays at gate and when killer approach survivor open and run out I mean how fun is that for the killer like SERIOUSLY

I agree they should regress automatically

Supposedly, Nurse and Spirit are the strongest killers in the game, but one of them is definitely harder to learn than the other.

48 votes/48 votes for nurse...i think you have your answer 😄

  • I'm all about balance. I'm a killer main but I play both. DBD is not a balanced game but to be fair to BHVR it was never meant to be competitive. Problem is I am competitive so I can't help but have this view point

Keep in mind that it’s not an official release date and the last release took one week longer than the usual 3 weeks after PTB start.

it depends on what bugs and other stuff get discovered

Thank you! Well either way plenty of time to save them shards!

What to survivorS want with DS

    • Anti-Tunnel

What to killers want with ds

    • Anti-Momentum

    NEW DS 4.6.0

    • Deactivates when you Repair a gen
    • Heal yourself or another survivor
    • Unhook a survivor
    • Cleanse a totem
    • Sabotage a hook.

NEW: If another survivor heals you, ds doesn't deactivate.

    What needs Improving

The perk is definitely a nerf, realistically it isn't an impactful one. The perk is now more towards balancing than before, it is now a "Anti-tunnel" and "Anti-momentum" perk, which is great. The only issue I have is now killers know the perk is weaker and will probably tunnel more, no more respecting DS. So I have this balance change which I hope the developers put in this perk.

    • If DS goes off, your scratch marks and blood are hidden for 7 seconds
    • After the stun of DS, Healthy survivor auras a shown for 3 seconds and all gens will be blocked for 5 seconds.

Survivors run DS for the Anti-Tunnel. It's still OP to have 60 free seconds to do whatever you like, so that's why I kept the "Action Deactivation".

Killers probably will get stunned by DS if survivors run it and don't do actions, this is obviously quite OP for survivors so I made it where if the killer get stunned, other healthy survivors aura will be shown to the killer, only healthy though. It would be a bit too OP.

These changes are really balanced, I'm surprised I thought of this. If the killer does actually tunnel then survivors scratch marks and blood are hidden, so the killer can't follow to tunnel. If the kill isn't tunnelling then there momentum can be gained back by finding a healthy survivor to apply pressure. I added the 5 second gen block because 5 seconds can be a little punishing to killers even if there playing fair, so to make if fair on both sides, the gens are blocked for the same time as the killers stun.

As a killer main my thoughts are that DS is healthy as for anti-tunneling, it is unhealthy when survivors abuse (invisible doing a gen etc). Thankfully due to the changes the abuse of DS should hopefully reduce

Again Behaviour, you missed the opportunity to create a very good looking map....

I still miss Blight and Twins maps, but ok it was not really needed, we already have maps that fits them a bit.

But Trickster ? Cmon... we have litteraly 0 neon maps, it could have been really Nice looking.

I wish both 3 will get one day a map that fits them....

Although I appreciate BHVR have different teams doing different things, I'd rather they focus on fixing the many bugs than new maps

So I've had DBD for about 2 months, and I think I'm pretty educated on most things by now.

My question is about Hatch campers.

So I'm in the sewers of Survivor Solo queue which as anyone who plays that knows, is probably the worst lmao. You never actually know if you're rando team mates will actually rescue you from a hook before struggle. Or do something moronic.

I've often had to run away from a team mate as if they were the Killer so they wouldn't kill me (for example, when you KNOW a Killer has Nurse's Calling, and you aren't far away enough but you're team mate keeps trying to heal you despite you flailing your arms to go away).

So when it comes to being down to 2 survivors, I've noticed a LOT of Solo queue team mates just expect you to die on the Hook if they've found the Hatch. Like they won't even attempt to rescue you even if there's only one gen left. You just see them squatting, or teabagging, as if to say " I found the hatch! DIE already!".

I have to admit, I'm guilty of being a bitter fart and I hang on and struggle sometimes to the bitter end in hopes the Killer will find their arse.

In a match today, there are two of us left. I have all the heals in the world on me, and my offering was Bloody Party streamers so I kind of wanted to get as many BPS as possible. I get hooked in front of the Hatch. My team mate was *right there*. The Killer walked far away, but all my team mate did was teabag over the Hatch to tell me to die.

Am I a D-bag if I refuse to just give up? Or are they being selfish?

If I knew there was NO hope, I'd make an executive decision and let the Entity take me. But sometimes I'm just not ready to give up yet.

    Thoughts?

There is no 'etiquette' as such its about hiw you feel. If the killer has been a camping killer or been toxic or if i want my teammate to get hatch I'll die quickly (if the killer is camping me and there's only two of us left I don't want them coming for me ans dying for it). If however the killwr is not camping or not been toxic, or if my teammate is leaving me for no good reason other than to get hatch or if the teammate annoyed me during the trial I will struggle. If as you say the hatch and teammate was in front of me ans he refused to save for hatch, I would struggle every single second to hopefully stop that happening

Dead by Daylight is addicting. That's the one thing that I want to get out of the way before I go on a depressing tangent about how this game messes me up. Dead by Daylight has some of the most fun and addicting experiences I have had from any online multiplayer game ever. It's fun and addicting, which for the most part is the reason this game makes me so upset.

This game has on several occasions taken me into days-long depressive episodes just because of the fact there are a few bad eggs ruining the experience when I'm looking for a chill, semi-competitive game. Maybe that's just me being mentally weak, but hey, I thought I'd just spill my feelings here. The general Dead by Daylight experience makes me sad at the fact that people take this game so seriously.

I'm a mid-ranked killer main on console and so I don't expect to go far playing killers generally, so I'm happy in my placement in this game. Though the rank system doesn't seem to agree with me. I always get red-rank Nea's and Feng's and they're always so good. I'm not mad at them for being better at the game than me, kudos to them for getting to that level of skill that they can hold their own against any type of killer. I'm mad that even when they see I'm not competent or good at the game, they continue to use that to their advantage.

I'm mad at myself for being so bad at this game. I go in hoping to better myself, but I continue to just get outplayed and outmaneuvered over and over again.

When it comes down to the end of the game, they're sometimes just spamming rude messages in my inbox or just continue to use phrases like; "GGEZ", "Baby killer". And it just makes me upset that I'm not a good enough match for them competitively. And even when they're saying genuinely nice things I can't shake off the feeling that they're being condescending and just making fun of me for not being good, and at the end of the day, I just get super depressed. Where I just want to sit down and cry for hours over random internet strangers that are better at a videogame than me. And that's why I don't. Because it's stupid to be mad over something like that. But I can't stop being so sad.

I am so upset over something that shouldn't impact my life at all. I'm not mad at them, I'm not angry at them. I'm sad because I will never be good enough to give people a good, competitive game. I'm sorry for rambling about this. After spending 30 minutes on this I realised how stupid I sound. I'm sorry.

TLDR; I'm bad at the game and that gives me the excuse to winge about it online when no-one will ever read this.

I took a break for a while because of similar to this. Then I realised (may not be the same for you) that part of the problem was that I'm a competitive person. So the question was how to better myself? Well practice obviously but it only takes you so far. Watching DBD streamers was the turning point for me. Its what took me from mid rank to now red rank. I recommend both Truetalent and Otzdarva, both give tips and hints. Otz is great for tutorials etc true is good for psychology tips (mind games etx). You become the best by learning from the best

  • You forgot the option for 'None'.

I don't like any of the 3 of them, enjoy playing as any of the 3 of them (although trickster is PTB so could change), find any of the 3 of them interesting or enjoy any of the backstorys/lore. Plus I'd rather DBD focused on fixing other maps and bugs than making new ones

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I just personally can’t stand, and have no patience for killers that cannot negate looping. And I just cannot stand playing as killers with a power that shines on some maps, yet is abysmal on other maps.

I think this is why I’ve stuck with Clown & Doc for so long. Because they’re not map dependant killers, and they have methods I’ve managed to use effectively to deal with the most irritating part (to me personally) of the chase: looping. And although Doc can’t end a chase anywhere near as fast as Clown, he at least at base can make pallets dangerous, and waste a hell of a lot of the survivors time without slow down perks.

I’m just no longer feel excited to see/play as new killers. I like to watch streams of players playing as new killers. I’ve been enjoying watching footage of Trickster. But at this point I’m only ever really excited to see what the new perks are. I just feel less, and less inclined to use anybody other than Clown or Doc.

Anybody else just feel more and more discouraged trying killers outside of their mains?

Or also narrowing their mains by ditching some they used to play?

I think when you start the game at lower rank although you're inexperienced its easier to rotate because of the quality of survivor. At red rank if you try a new killwe you're not good at its more intimidating because of the calibre of survivor you're going up against (will MMR work? I'm not sure)

Me not liking this killer has nothing to do with homophobia, you realise me not liking the killer doesnt make me homophobic??? Can you show me the homophobia towards the new killer? There's a lot of hate for him but does that male someone homophobic? very dangerous attitude you have

When you look at other 110 killers and nurse, their powers are VERY powerful and needed for a hit. Deathslinger literally stops loops and is ACCURATE, huntress long range hits, stops loops and is quick like Deathslinger, and spirit is spirit. Now look at trickster his knives take way to long to put someone in a death state, most times I believe you should literally just hit them with an M1. The knives are only good at small loops and in the literally open. Rn it feels like they're just there. I did a game with using a major of only knives. Barely killed 1. He need to be faster, I know it wouldn't be pretty but if not 115 maybe 113. Also main event is literally a joke, gose down WAY to fast its honestly the most situational thing in the game. That needs to be not a toggle but maybe go down super slower. That's my 2 cents from day 1 but who knows maybe I'm wrong

I think you make solid points. Or my other idea was less knives to lower a health state?

As a solo survivor i have to deal with sweaty killer builds too, either because they feel like doing it or because they think they are going against 4 SWF yet i don't DC nor complain about that.

As a red rank killer unless against playing 4 solos you pretty much need to play a sweaty build to maintain red rank. Is that right? No. Do I like having to play a sweaty build? No.

I'm a solo like you. I think a lot of the issues and why killers dodge lobbies is simply SWF is broken. Ok not all SWF are sweaty tryhards but at a lobby you don't know that. If I know its SWF then I don't know of sweaty or not, I have to assume they are. And if I assume they are and want to make a match of it what do I have to do? Bring an optimal build because if I don't there's a high chance I'll be gen rushed to oblivion. And if I'm gen rushed? Desperate times desperate measures, so I'll look to eliminate someone from the match ASAP.

I play both sides and i feel bad for the solos. As a solo I have to run perks eg kindred that I wouldn't need if I was SWF. I have a lot more respect for the top Solos than SWF - a lot of the time in a 4 man SWF 2 of them are optimal and the other 2 are only higher rank because of the other 2. If those 2 played solo, they'd be trash because its a completely different game

  • Can we not have just one day without the 'You've nerfed DS (not true btw only stopped it getting abused) so nerf NOED'? Every single day on this forum.

NOED is a hex perk not an outright perk. Is it frustrating? Yes. Is it OP? No you get a notification when its in play amd the totem can be destroyed. Is it OP? No because if destroyed especially if not used its been a wasted perk slot for the killer.

As a killer main I'm not a fan of NOED as I believe it teaches bad habits (as killer my aim is to prevent exit gates being open so I'd rather use the perk slot to prevent it happening rather than waiting for it to happen). Although it can be game changing i don't believe its OP (Haunted Grounds or Devour Hope can be game changing in the same way)

  • @Pig_Is_Pog said:

    title

Why is it linked to terror radius rather then just 32 metre proximity? doesn’t that just give certain killers the ability to completely bypass it over other killers for no real reason at all?

I put on bt mainly so i know i won’t ruin my benevolent badge by getting unsafe unhooks but the fact it’s linked to heartbeat is kinda just stupid, it’s suppose to be an anti farm perk so why can’t it just work against all killers? i don’t put in bt just for tinkerer to activate right as i unhook then me get a depip for unsafe unhooks.

To limit abuse. If it was 32m then it would be even more abused

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

I don't see any problems with killer dodging a lobby.

Do any of you remember the time before dedicated servers where you had to search for a new lobby everytime the killer would dodge you?

I for one do remember. Never being in a 3/4 man SWF its not a problem i ever really encountered but I do remember the rage! And I agree, a killer should have the right to dodge a lobby. As i said in my above post if im not in a patient mood and I see 4 flashlights or 4 toolboxes or keys etc I'm really not gonna play nice

  • @Gay_Police_Dept said:

Just copy-pasted this from a comment in a different thread:

"1: If they're all on the same platform, lobby dodge.

2: Keys + Map + Flashlights, or any combination of which, lobby dodge

3: Suspicious amount of flashlights? That's a lobby dodge.

4: Check their profiles if possible. If they have someone in their friends list in the lobby with them, dodge."

The very least they can do is to hide the names.

I'm not gonna lie, if I've had a few bad games or I'm not in a particularly patient mood I'll do the same. Want to clarify i don't usually but if I'm not in the right frame of mind or annoyed at the game then it's not gonna be a fun game for me or those survivors. Not all SWF are sweaty tryhards but at the lobby i don't know that. There's a lot of chill SWF and I'd hate to ruin the match for them (and yes I'm a killer main and I play in such a way where I want the gane to be fun for all - unless of course in the game I'm pushed in a corner)

  • Thank you, these points will go to a good home

  • @Silvernightwolf said:

Seriously devs take away the bloodlust. The killers don't need it when they fly all over the map and use speed hacks anyway. Had a match where the killer killed everyone before 1generator was even done he was speeding every where do they don't need the blood lust.

Well surely the issue here is the hacking not bloodlust? Bloodlust takes time to develop it doesnt happen automatically so really its irrelevant if as you say a killer was flying round the map with hacks. Bloodlust is irrelevant the hacks are so the OP should be aimed at that not bloodlust

The current my way or no way mentality is damaging everything in this world. Seriously.

It's called Illiberal Liberalism and I agree. The idea that I have my opinion (usually left wing therefore termed liberal) but if you disagree you're wrong and it doesn't matter what or how you say it you're wrong (which is technically totalitarianism, forcing your view on someone without choice, the exact opposite of the liberalism tje above example is fighting for in the first place)

Yep. Fog whisperers is a joke, some of them that play now are toxic and bully lower rank killers for fun and content. And it used to be worse, a certain one admitted to DCing to depip in order to get lower rank killers, another one got banned for Mori griefing etc. Otz and True are fine but more than a fair few on the list are a poor representation of DBD. Overall they should be held to higher standard, something BHVR has failed to do.

I've been trying for two days. Only one killer has slugged more than once in a match and someone else beat me to the heal the second time.

    This challenge is so tedious.

I know, as I said I'm not a fan of challenges that are very circumstantial rather than my own skill; relying on the killer to slug and if they don't then too bad. I stole @indieeden7 idea of For the People, Irom Will, Empathy and I used Unbreakable instead of dead hard. FTP was the game changer for me though because you can do it instantly. For me it actually came down to the team going down quickly to a very good spirit and the spirit Respecting DS. I also hovered around the injured the whole time and I'd wait out broken to heal with a med kit and do it again. I wouldnt go as far to say I threw the game because I had the luxury of being able to wait for the spirit to instantly leave and start another chase and then heal the person so I was actually useful. I didn't touch a gen all game but then no one really did. It was a highly skilled spirt juggling everyone (although she didn't get me until later on because i was careful).

I suppose what you need for this challenge is

    1) Suitable perk build. I have every survivor perk unlocked and I found this frustrating. Can only imagine what it must be like if you didn't

    2) A reasonable to highly skilled killer (if unskilled killer then not enough people will go down so challenge busted)

    3) A killer who respects DS (this was the key for me)

    4) Whatever you do DO NOT BE THE FIRST TO GO DOWN (Im not saying it's impossible but considerably harder)

    5) A SWF if possible (distract the killer when downing someone to provoke the killer to leave. Im solo so don't have this luxury)

    6) A balance between sticking to the injured like glue while not putting yourself in too much danger (not always easy, FTP requires you to be fully healthy so getting the balance wasn't easy because if I got injured then forget it

    7) Acceptance that unless you get highly efficient team mates to the highest degree, you won't win the game - sacrificing the trial for the challnegw. As I said i actually helped my team , no gens were really getting done so I wasn't bothered about that. I've heard other people getting the challenge and getting grief for it

And i totally get it, although I'd understand understand they're doing their challenge its annoying to play well just to have someone do something for the challenge and basically sacrifice the game. Although I blame the challnege itself. I'm sure in 1/100 games it could be done without thinking, there's been plenty of times I've healed 2 teammates from dying without thinking but k didn't have to use a perk slot for empathy to do it. Also as I previously mentioned the ability of this challnege is reliant on the killer slugging as much as your skill. Reminds me risky repairs where 2 gens had to be completed in killers TR in one match - relied as much on the killer than you - Distressing docotr? Great. MA myers? Too bad no chance. Overall I despise challenges that are circumstantial over skillful

(And dont even get me started on the sacrifice 4 in the basement challenge how is that still even a challenge)

    Just my thoughts

    Good luck with the challenge!

It's good on every killer. Like I said the issue isn't the stealth it's when there's 3/4 gens left on a map. Top tier Pig mains use it for a reason. Against top survivors maybe because they co-ordinate getting 2 gens to 70% at the same time, which is still asking a lot. A bunch of solo players are done for.

Depends what aspect its being used. For notification of near gen completion yes although some killers can utilise that better than others (Freddy is amazing with tinkerer because he can teleport to gens). With regards to stealth, I would say louder killers aren't so useful, demogorgan is sooooo loud that even with undectable (that he gets when portals are being destroyed) its near enough pointless because anyone with a headset will hear his thudded footsteps and growls. I think again its a case of it being in the right hands; I find it amazing on clown. But again its experience and skill; should I pressure the gen that went off even though I'm average mobility? Or find someone else to chase with no TR?

One thing I will say, I get amazing satisfaction gen grabbing someone with clown. And the amount of jump scares is fun. That habing been said, i still feel its not just how I use it as clown it also depends on the survivors awareness as well. A combination of the two. And the first time you get tinkerer is key because smart survivors clock it after the first time.

Do you use it as killer or have you gone against it as survivor?

  • @Fantasy said:

I've used it and played against it enough to know it's overtuned. The clear notification of when a generator reaches 70% with no cooldown is the problem, the long undetectable status is just a bonus.

In the hands of a good killer it's going to be a hatch game. It hard carries on its own, let alone using it with other perks. Spine Chill MIGHT help you avoid a hit, but the killer has crucial intel now and in the endgame with one or two gens left when one survivor is probably dead already it's gg.

Killer mains that use it will disagree because well..it's the best killer perk in the game. It is not the most common but I'm sure if the data was looked at this perk is top tier.

It should either have a limited number of uses via tokens, similar to Distortion or only activate once per generator.

Powerful in the right hands, comes in clutch at times but i wouldn't say its OP.

Its useful on some killers, relatively pointless on others so to say its the best killer perk is just not correct.

I use it on some killers and sometimes yes I'll get a suprise hit that the survivor could do nothing/very little about. Most times though I find its a lack of awareness on the survivors part that makes tinkerer so successful when it is; I use it on Clown and they get so used to the 32m TR they don't even look behind them on a Gen. I even had someone message me saying the lack of red light caught them off.

Its a powerful perk in the right hands. Against top survivors it has limited use. I think its fine as is

The forums won't let me "quote" my own edited comment on here, so... @TheClownIsKing I'm copy and pasting it:

This was in response to your reply:

"It may seem crass, but time and time again it’s proven (or they’re caught out) that the most vehemently opposed are closeted themselves.

There may be exceptions, but they’re rare."

And I finally edited my response to better respond to this as of 7:47pm GMT -

No matter how often it's been proven right or wrong, making that assumption is an overall dick move. I know you are a good person (or at least... I believe this to be true), and I know you don't want this whole post to devolve into assumptions of your sexuality and angry rebuttals about how you're declaring:

"I'm right, and anyone who doesn't agree with me is secretly gay"

And I know you really just want everyone to focus on what's important:

An LGBTQ+ represented character introduced in DbD is a good thing that shouldn't be bemoaned or combatted, and instead generally accepted or applauded!

That last jab... doesn't achieve this, and instead antagonizes the readers into focusing on how you just called them out/said they're secretly gay with an errant assumption.

I Like you dude, and while I'm not the best person in the world to try and act all noble about things regarding DbD debates, I'm sincerely trying to help you avoid mistakes in your wording.

Be Positive about this subject, and don't resort to being antagonistic. That's what the ######### do... You're not an #########, so don't do yourself wrong by going down to their level.

I'm sorry for repeating myself, but have faith that I'm only looking out for you here, and to see you being so vicious like I used to be... Just breaks my heart.

Yeah I agree i fully agree with @TheClownIsKing on his points and I fully support diversity in DBD and the DBD community, but that last sentence is just a bit petty tbh. It's like saying 'I'm making my point and if you disagree you are wrong and hypocritical because you're gay yourself '. I'd edit that out personally and I agree its not meant badly but it comes across as petty and a bit ignorant. I know its not intended that way and @TWiXT he's a good guy who makes sound discussions etc

I do hope LGBT+ gets the representation it deserves

Like I stg the developers don't care about switch at all. I get they aren't all that amazing at getting bugs fixed fast and there are multiple bugs that have been in the game basically from the beginning, but wow. It took them 6 months to fix audio bugs that were spam reported like crazy when Blight released. It took until pc players started whining about Elodie's screaming for them to acknowledge the bug when Switch players were forced to listen to it from the chapters release. Yet here we are. Given an offering that has not worked since we got Freddy. Thanks BHVR. Why is it we're being forced to play with crossplay in order to use our Badham offerings when all we are is screwed over no matter what map with crossplay on? We're allowed to go to Badham in customs where nothing counts or in death central and that's it? Please let us use the Pied Piper offering with crossplay off because you obviously have the rights to let us since it's in our customs and we can get the offering. It kind of makes me mad that this bug has been reported and has survived 5 updates with no acknowledgement.

I Hear you. The condition DBD is on switch it shouldn't have been released

I used Dead Hard and Iron Will just to make the broken status effect less hindering, I didn't really try to play too seriously though, I went into the match aiming to get the challenge done and nothing else.

I can confirm that this dod indeed work for me! Actually got 3 saves for other people and an unbreakable as a 4th lol. Took a few games, ended up being an extremely skillful spirit who very fortunately always respected DS - which gave me my chance!

That having been said I do agree with a point someone else made on another post, this challenge is killer dependant ie slugging. And if the killer doesn't slug then there's near enough nothing that can be done - takes the skill out of your hands to a certain degree

Well thank you. After a few frustrating attempts I will steal you're bright idea 😄 fingers crossed !

I used For the People and managed to get it, even if I was kind of throwing the game.

That's actually a very good idea. Apart from Empathy and FTP what else did you use? Unbreakable, Botany or WGLF?

i have epilepsy and some survivors have caused me seizures before, last time they started doing this again i quit out because i didn't feel like having another seizure because of ######### feeling the need to bm.

is it oke to quit out because of this? or what else could i do....

You're health must always come first and i speak from experience. I got COVID about a year ago and it killed my immune system ; since I was already prone to migraines the low immune system made them worse and more common and unfortunately for me DBD triggered them (want to be clear I'm not blaming the game) so I took around a 4 month break until I improved. I've been back for a while now which js nice but speaking from experience you may enjoy the game but health must always come first

It's been pretty fun for the most part even with green and yellow rank teammates (I'm rank 12 at the time of writing this). I've been playing nothing but killer for about 200 hours now but I gotta say I've really been missing out on the survivor side of things. It's really interesting to be on the other side of the looping process and even if my teammates infuriate me, it's helped me understand some survivor frustrations as well. Such as ruin, proxy camping, basement strats, selfish teammates, stupid teammates, basically the usual stuff survivors refer to as boring that isn't stuff that's survivor rule book levels or whiny. Trying out both sides is something I feel a lot more people should do in order to drop the "Us vs Them" mentality that goes on between survivors and killers and as someone who used to be like that, it's a silly thought process that will most likely be self-debunked after a good amount of games as the survivor. Although I miss the bloodpoints, it's definitely reminded me that DBD has two sides to the game and trying to villanize the other side does add this extra tensity to matches but in the end it's just gonna make you a bitter mess. So yea that's about it, basically just my extended version of saying "I like it and understand why people do like it."

It'll also help your killer game. Understanding both sides is important to master either. I was similar to you. Survivor although infuriating if camped/tunneled is much less stressful than killer

For two days now i have been facing different Bubba players who camping around mid / end game and sometimes at the start of the match.

Whoever is just trying to rescue, his chainsaw takes them down immediately and there is no way to do anything to prevent him from standing or moving from the hook.

Even though i know the implications of my choice to rescue, i did it anyway. sometimes it helped others escape and sometimes it just killed us all. not a smart move indeed.

I'm in a situation where I'm tired of dealing with them.

With all due respect to their play style, it's not fun and not fair to us at all.

In the last game when i saw that we have no chance of saving from the hook, i escaped and left them behind.

    It's frustrating and feels awful.

The question is whether players can understand and move on or it's unforgivable and that puts me on the list of selfish people?

    Also, what would you do?

If he's camping then survivors going for the save is only feeding him. Most efficient thing to do is do gens while the camping is taking place and if he's face camping don't be a hero. I'm a survivor and I'm being hard camped I'll stay on hook as long as possible for my teammates to do gens. I also run kindred which is amazing for a scenario like this

Can't disagree with that, afterall it's not exactly even teams so it's hardly a great tournament game. But some people find a weird joy in making any game competitively viable

True. I still find your comms idea interesting, I'd love to see a tournament with no comms and see how effective the survivors are then.

  • @freddymybae said:

    dbd and TOURNAMENT

    dont go hand to hand

I think you've hit the nail on the head. A lot of these problems stem back to an obvious source

DBD is a game aimed at and designed around casual players, not competitive players. And while that is the case getting any balanced tournament will indeed be a challenge

What's a good build for escaping chases as a survivor. I like the exhaustion perk lithe the most. I used to use dead hard but sometimes it don't work and it's not helpful if a killer can insta down you. I used to use windows when I was new because I wouldn't realize there was a pallet near me. However I've been using it again more because too many times I get caught in a dead zone. I know to look behind me but I sometimes run into something in front of me when I do that. What do you do when you don't know which way the killer went?

If You want a meme build

    Dance with me

    Quick and Quiet

    Lithe

    Windows/DS
