Counterpoint:
How do survivors handle going against nurse. (or generally any killer)
Because you can see it commonly that high ranke skilled nurses go up against survivors, swf or not, that try NOTHING to counter nurses repertoire, but rely entirely on their looping and juking 'skills'.
It's the same people who will pop gens with 2-4 people having a rtb on, who will run away in a straight line from deathslinger or who will run into a basement against a nearby hag. All because finishing the match asap is the only valid approach to them, and when they lose due to that they'll declare the killerplayer as hacker or the killer as OP, unfun and boring and in need of a massive nerf.
This is a constant problem survivors seem to have against any killer that doesn't play by the typical M1 killer role. Just because you can't play against every killer the same way doesn't mean they need to be changed, just adjust how you play.

I just want to say I agree but I also don't want solo to be brought "up" to SWFs power lvl. I would like SWF to be brought "down" to solo's power or somewhere in-between. If solo was made as strong as SWF is right now then nobody would play killer.
This is what I have a problem with too, any buffs you make to solo to get them to SWF level will be an indirect buff to SWF making them stronger.

Can we please just throw him in the trash?
It's absolutly no fun to play against him.
If he's good he can hit you everyt7me you get to a pallet/window.
The things he puts on the ground are sometimes invisible and you can't attemp escapes/do anything while in the cage and i've had it multiple times that survs just don't get me out of this damn thing. Plus no perks get activated when you're in the cage.
So the second a killer requires you to play differently against them they're "no fun" to play against? If he's good he's waiting for you to commit to vaulting pallets and windows when he knows his power is a sure hit, you need to fake window and pallet vaults sometimes. His trail of torment in the ground can be a little buggy at times but you probably shouldn't be running around everywhere and maybe crouch around sometimes.

What is even the point of buffing something if it's still not going to be used?
When are the designers going to stop being scared by killer backlash and actually give something time to see how it ends up working before gutting it? Why wasn't the same "we wait a few months before doing changes" that's applied for killer powers & perk changes applied here?
Lucky Break can't be buffed with more time because it will then invalidate the other options survivors have for removing scratch marks.

Now I feel like you've never played against Wraith. He not only has intense map pressure, but he has Coup De Grace with a speed boost by default. That's badly unbalanced.
Wraith is the first killer I've main'ed in the game, i feel like ive got a good grasp on what he can and cant do. Cant say the same for you if him of all killers is what you're complaining about. He's got an increased lunge sure but i doubt you're saying the same thing about michael myers, who actually has built in instadowns. Wraith is easily able to be played against if you're smart, but you make it seem like he's the best killer in the game.

It is way overdue for transparency. I want to see the winrate of killers using Tinkerer, Ruin, and POP. Corrupt Intervention also. And BBQ on a fast killer. Will it show a game breaking problem? Killers love these perks for ez wins and I'm going to take a guess the winrate is above 3K per game. Without these perks I bet it is closer to a fairer 2K. It's the biggest game breaking thing in the game and it is also unfun to verse. I'm sick of these perks being abused.
I have yet to see a team beat an abusing Rank 1 Wraith with Tinkerer and Ruin. It's absolutely a busted combo and biased balancing for leaving this in the game for an overwhelming advantage. The Wraith has to be extremely garbage to lose. I'll be waiting.
Why do you all entertain this person so much? I get it might be for the silly takes but at a certain point it gets redundant. Killer's are so bad and unbearable to play against yet I see average and below survivors escape against killers many times. Is it just you that's bad at the game @Sluzzy ?

That would be like giving Hillbilly insta-saw by default. He shouldn't be so extremely fast and have a huge lunge without needing something extra for that. There is no counterplay to a wraith that spams his cloak, closes distance. It is NOT fun. A killer should have counterplay and not be so oppressive.
Yeah no it wouldnt be like hillybilly insta-saw, which is a down opposed to a free hit on occasion so try that one again. Again he's always been fast, he's just a little faster without having to have addons, not to the point where its a problem. There is plenty of counter play to an M1 killer with no insta down capabilities, that has to uncloak to hit you. Like at this point im not sure what game you're even playing to be complaining about something simple like the wraith....i bet you also think legion is op because he can catch up to you fast...
-
@Sluzzy said:
Wraith now has too many abilities and too much power, so it is natural perks is pushing him over the top and it feels hopeless. Extremely fast map travel, completely stealth, and a lunge that reaches a miles after using his power. HIs gigantic lunge that he has benefit from should be a ultra rare addon or that Twin's perk, NOT a default ability.
Anything wraith does now is what he's always been able to do, yet nobody complained before. So what he got a little faster without having to have add ons, i highly doubt that's pushing him over the top. If anything it seems like you're just trying to claim that an average killer getting slightly buffed and then that makes them OP.

It's part of game however doesn't make it right or fair it's basically not giving a person option to make a move unless they run ds all the time just like killers complain about dead hard or old ds as much will survivors complain about tunelling and camping both sides complains are part of game however it doesn't mean tunelling is fine or getting a distance u didn't deserve is fine
It can absolutely be circumvented though by not being the first one that gets caught and singled out. If your teammates are worth anything, since its a team game, then you have 3 chances before you're out and I think that's plenty fair. Either you leave the trial by dying to the killer or escaping through the exit gates, what does it matter aside from a few points how it happens. Just queue up for the next match and try to do better.

Look I understand you're position, yeah getting camped and tunneled as a survivor sucks. I hate when it happens and I've even rarely DC'd because of it.
I play both sides and I'd like to present a situation to you that I ran into yesterday playing killer. I was just doing rift challenges so I was playing it cool. wasn't camping or anything. and as a killer you have to hook to get the most points so I was still hooking when I down someone.
Well, I put someone on a hook and I literally took 3 steps away from the hook and someone was there pulling them off. I head them run up 2 steps and go for the the save. I turned around to swing at the person doing the save and it hit the person coming off the hook who had borrowed time. Free hit and a burst of speed I ended up loosing them both because of the swing recovery time where you can't move.
I wasn't even out of range of the hook yet and there was still no way to punish someone for a dangerous save. But you can bet if I had just stood there after hooking them I would have been called a camper and trash. Hell I'm called that anyway by toxic teams.
The thing that a lot of survivors miss is; sometimes if a killer is camping they know you're around or they know someone is just trying to lead you off so someone can go for a quick save. I've done that as survivor too. It's when you're camped and no one is around that's annoying.
You still think that BT should be base kit? they just gave it a buff where it activates no matter where the killer is with a time decrease to balance it.
I feel this post so much, it makes you wonder why do hits get prioritized to the survivor on the hook when unhooking happens? Like there's truly no reason I should be able to still hit them if they're on the hook, it feels really bad to have my hits just vanish and then be put into a cooldown when essentially nothing happened.

The Killer is now FORCED to either camp, because chasing one guy means the other unhooks, with a Struggle meter penalty giving Survivor #1 extra time to solo generators. Or walk away & let a Survivor unhook.
Oh no, not the anti-camping mechanism making camping an ineffective strategy!
Hey, if that's considered abuse of the anti-camping measure, can we also have killers forced to declare they're approaching you when they have undetectable? Since it's kinda abusing undetectable if you sneak up on someone undetected.

Oh so you mean how trail of torment has to declare that the killer kicked a gen and is undetectable? Or how spine chill absolutely guts stealth killers by announcing that they're looking at you or headed your way despite them being undetectable?

Survivors are also on a time limit for the entire trial, it's not like the average killer is going to see gens going slowly and slow down themselves.
Add into that the ever-present endgame hook camp and it's pretty easy to see why people don't immediately open the gates. It's a nice breather and you have time to prepare to try and save the person that's inevitably being camped.
Sorry but survivors aren't nearly as pressed for time as killers are. I've seen survivors have time to do all kinds of things(from doing totems, to searching chests, to nothing at all in some cases) while the killer literally can't stop moving if they want to keep up. In the endgame there's nothing else the killer can do but camp, since its not like they can defend gens at that point. While i agree its nice to take time to heal up and prepare for the save, more often than not you'll still have plenty of time with perks like BT, DS, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, and good ol body blocking.
-
@Pirscher said:
Yes, open the gates!
It happens all the time when the gate is on 99%, the person being chased goes to run out and what to do know? Greedy team mates 99ed it and then the killer gets them because it cant be opened in time.
Blood warden is not a problem - if you see it on, stay away from the gates and wait it out. Its so simple.
I have a feeling its the self care users/previous self care users who do this 99shiz, am I right?
Such a shame that 99'ing the doors, just to counter 1 perk, has become so common. Survivors on a time limit to get things done? The killer is fighting for time throughout the entire game but survivors can't be bothered to do the same...All for one perk the killer could not even have, and most wont run simply because it can be circumvented almost all the time.

It is too weak for an ultra rare. Sure, the info you can get sometimes is great, but you aren't going to be using your cages all that often, only in specific circumstances. Then there is the problem of survivors being tormented, they will not always be tormented.
Why would you not be using your cages often, its your power so there's no reason not to. You should be actively trying to get survivors tormented, which they cant remove unless they interact with cages. Pyramid head is already a strong killer because of his power so his addons don't really need to be any stronger.
-
@LazyPayday said:
It's a useless Ultra-rare add-on for Pyramid Head for those who don't know.
1st Option:
When sending a survivor to a cage, all survivors not afflicted with torment will have their auras revealed to you for 6 seconds (encourages using your cages more often while also drastically increasing the use)
2nd Option:
When sending a survivor to a cage, all survivors afflicted with torment will have their auras revealed to you for 6 seconds. Hitting a survivor with punishment of the damned now afflicts them with torment (doesn't rely on the survivors playing stupid to get use out it, rewards you for landing a strike even more other than just one shotting)
Im sorry but what's wrong with what it does now? Its like BBQ that works for his cages so what's the problem with that?

I hear you. You can rest-assured that over time that feeling will go away and your ability to get things done will let you stray further and further from hooks until you only camp when you have a specific reason to do it. Sadly it just takes thousands of hours of play to get there when you are constantly being put up against people far superior to you. That is the problem we have right now in DbD. To keep the Queues moving, they will put Killers up against people way too good them. That means Killers, even those who are no longer Potatoes, have to make a hard call. It is camp and tunnel to try and get anything done, or run around and just practice looping and accepting the loss.
Oddly enough, both are viable ways to get better at the game. There are skills in playing keep away with the hook that need honing, timing for grabs, and knowing how far away to be and when to be close. People act as if Camping is this plug and play, easy thing. While it is true that anyone can squat on a hook, doing it in a way that is truly effective in turning one secured kill into multiple does require competence and effort. Me, I pride myself on the intercept and grab. I play a LOT of Spooky Myers which means I am Proxy Camping to a degree, in that I go off on patrols to maintain Generator pressure but use my wall hacks to know when someone is making a run on the hook. The trick is to have GREAT map knowledge and routes in your head with timing. It isn't easy, but you can intercept at the hook and make that grab. The best thing about this method is that I haven't given up Generator pressure entirely, and since I've being seen elsewhere, the would-be unhooker doesn't take the right precautions to foil my grab.
I digress but wanted to give you a specific example. Accepting you are going to lose against far superior opponents is also valuable. If you accept that loss you will not get tilted and be far less frustrated. You can use them as a tutorial for looping and hunting down Survivors. The better they are the faster you will improve. If you get to the point where you can bird-dog excellent Survivors you should not have been matched with, imagine how good you will be against the ones you should be matched with. Does that make sense. Basically, I'm saying when you find yourself feeling powerless... laugh... nod... accept this is a learning game... and decide what you want to practice more.
No worries, I've gone down this whole cycle time and time again. I've got no problems with the general pace of things, my only gripe is the small inconsistencies that plague the game on the killer side(grabs not registering, fighting perks and not survivors, not enough chaser points despite winning all my chases, etc). I like the game but man is it hard to binge, I usually only have enough patience for 3 or 4 games a day.

I don't know. I play both Survivor and Killer in equal measure. I play hard and expect my opponents to do the same. I don't blame either role if/when they waffle-stomp me. I give them a congratulations and a thank you for the game. I'm not saying that Dead by Daylight is perfect. We all have our opinions and suggestions, but gutting Player Agency is a no fly zone for me. I think encouraging, with rewards, Killers to certain behaviors is a more workable method and doesn't impinge on choice. It actually increases choices.
The Perk: Barbecue & Chili, for example, is a shining success in this regard. It gives Killers profit and reason to leave the area of the hook. If it didn't exist, camping would be 100x more common. I not against approaches that expand choices and encourage different tactics by making them equally profit-oriented. In fact, I've even given feedback of my own about it.
Certainly a reasonable player, the biggest thing I hate when playing killer is feeling as if "there's nothing I can do". I would love to not camp and give everybody an equal chance of playing but im not allowed the time to do so because gens go by fast. I want to run weird unorthodox builds but when 2/4 of my perks are regulated to gen defense my choices are pretty limited.

What part of Player agency do you not understand? Strategies and tactics are ALL agency. I always do short patrols after the first hook because I like to gauge my opponents; I want to see how many come running to that first hook so I know how altruistic they are in that specific match. I need to know what alternate means of Generator pressure I can apply. Are they coldblooded and will milk that first hook for every second of Generator possible, or will it be one, two, or all three that come on the run. This is me being tactical and gathering information. According to you, I don't get that right because YOU feel it is too early for me to camp. Man you have some nerve.
And what about those Killers who can Proxy camp and don't need to be close to get the same result. Are you saying that Hag, Trapper, Demo, and Freddy (not all but a good sample) who can leave their early warning systems and fast return options should be penalized the same as my slow Spooky Myers? :) Do you have the audacity to say that some Killers don't have the RIGHT to use their Power in the way it was actually designed? Or if you are saying they can', the rest of the Killers have to just take a flying leap? You haven't thought this through, not one bit.
I can give about fourteen more tactics, strategies, and reasons the Killer may stay close to a hook early, or tunnel a specific person, or slug at five Generators. They are all fair, reasonable, and part of the reason we play the game against PEOPLE and not Bots. Tell me how it is going to work in your grand design when your version would make some Killers extinct and not harm others at all?
Like why don't people understand that its Killers vs Survivors in terms of gameplay, both sides can't win and one has to lose.

I don't understand the matchmaking in this game. I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) that MMR is back on because I can't switch killers after readying up, and simply put its not working. I just bought Plague and have been playing with her for about 2 days now, and I'm really bad with her. Despite that, All of my matches have been with at least 1 decent player. I have not gotten more than a single kill per game, possibly none at all so far. In short: I HAVE NOT BEEN PERFORMING WELL. Regardless, my last game was against a bunch of red rank streamers. Why am I playing against these people if I can't even do moderately well against bad players?
The other thing that I think shows the Matchmaking is completely broken is my matches as Legion. The system thinks I'm a terrible Legion apparently despite him being easily my best killer. I consistently 4k or 3k and hatch with him , even against better teams/players, but it still pits me against babies every other match. If matchmaking or MMR was actually working it should be the other way around. Am I crazy or is this pretty much the norm?
MMR is not on atm

I was in a lengthy discussion in the chat with a bunch of survivors who kept telling me that tunneling is not part of the game and that I shouldn't do it. I heard a lot in my time playing DbD about tunneling, but never that it outright isn't part of the game.
I got disconnected from the server before I got a conclusive answer, so my curiosity remains piqued: is there a convincing argument of why tunneling is not part of the game, when it, as far as I'm concerned, clearly is.
Keep in mind that the question is "is not part, because...", not "shouldn't be part, because..."
People have come to misuse the term tunneling to be something its not. Tunneling is only focusing on 1 survivor through the whole course of the match, making no attempts to hit or down anyone else. Tunneling is not going after a survivor that's been unhooked recently. There are only 4 survivors in a match so if any of the other 3 don't take the killers attention away from their "weakened" teammate then they're fair game to be put back onto the hook/possibly out of the game.

It's only till we all got downed did she finally started hooking, 2 people died on the floor. It's a very boring style for me and other people who play this game have said the same thing. And that is why a lot of people do not like to play vs the twins, because of that playstyle that some twin users like play, not fun.
Maybe at a certain point you should group up since victor himself can't get multiple downs in a row without opening himself up to being kicked. If not that then you could start to run WGLF since it increases healing speed by 100% on downed survivors, or any other perk that speeds up healing for that matter.
-
The only thing holding back dying light is that it speeds up the obsession's healing speed. At this point there's no reason a killer perk should buff survivors for free, they could just make it so that the obsession isn't affected by the slowdown but not buff their healing speed.

Like someone has said before if dead hard or any other exhaustion perk is giving you trouble then you can easily run Blood Echo or Mind Breaker to keep them exhausted for longer. If you choose not to do that then I don't think you have a right to complain about people dead harding for distance opposed to tanking hits, since if they make the distance they are technically avoiding the hit in either case.

The biggest issue with things like camping and tunneling is that it ######### over everyone in the game and no one has fun because of it. The killer just stands afk at the hook and de pips, the person getting camped isn’t allowed to play and also de pips, and the other 3 survivors don’t get to play an actual game and also only black pip at best but more often then not they de pip because the killer refuses to interact with them in any way. By keeping camping in the game it encourages toxicity, hate messaging, and creates and divide in the community.
I will say that true legit face camping sucks and doesn't have a place in the game but proxy camping and hoping for a hook trade is just fine. I'm all for both sides interacting with one another, but until I'm not forced to bring perks to make up for how fast gens can go by you just can't get rid of camping or tunneling. As someone that plays killer mostly with some survivor on the side, while watching lots of steamers play survivor, win or lose most killers never rub it in the face of the other 4 players. The same can't be said for survivors who will, win or lose, always have something to say to the killer about how they played. Survivors can absolutely be some of the most cocky, stubborn, and just petty people i've seen in gaming in general.
-
These are the exact feelings i've had for a while now regarding killers. I shouldn't be punished for simply playing the game by the standards the devs set themselves. My only goal is to kill survivors so it shouldn't matter how I do that. Sometimes I need to defend hooks, there could be any number of reasons for it, and I don't have the time nor does it make sense to just leave the immediate area if I don't deem it necessary. Everyone has no problem with killers playing hyper aggressive going for 12 hook games, so why is it a problem when I defend hooks or force people into 2nd stage?
I get that camping sucks but survivors have perks that help stop it and if they just work as a team they can make sure that it wont work out for me. The thing is most survivors only look out for themselves and not so much for teammates. This becomes even more apparent when killers start to face those red rank squads that realize I can't be everywhere at once.

No, the only real problem is you can't debate any of the assertions I've made so you are playing rhetorical games and trying to keep the discussion about me rather than the topic. You lost that debate hours ago. You aren't fooling anyone reading these posts, and insulting our intelligence with these pathetic attempts at misdirection is almost amusing. You lost the argument, but to be honest it was DOA. There is no discussion on this matter that has any meaning because, as has been stated by many of us many times, the DEV have already told you they aren't changing it. You are a whiner that likes to blame your personal failures on other people and/or the game. All this jibber-jabber has been about lying to us but more importantly about lying to yourself. It is far easier to try and vilify some tactic in the game or other Players than it is to accept that you simply don't have the right stuff.
Rather than attempt to take stock and learn how to improve yourself, you come here (you and quite a few others) to moan and groan and try to get someone else to solve your problems. It is pathetic. It tells us everything we need to know about your personal character and ethics. Then you compound that image we have of you by playing with rhetoric rather than honestly having a discussion about the topic. What you could be doing in a thread is asking people how they deal with Campers, what solutions have they found effective, and asking what you can do to better deal with the issue. You aren't doing that; you aren't even paying lip service to pretending to do that. Even though thousands upon thousands manage to get by just fine, you (and your ilk) pretend like there are no solutions other than having the DEVs fix it for you. What a strange, small context you live inside.
Even with this latest patch they buffed BT to counter just about all forms of camping and we still get people that complain about it...like when will they be happy?
-
With the buff that BT got it literally makes no sense for every survivor not to run it. Still people will say its not something they should have to run and go to complain about camping killers.

I'm at that point now
about 200 hours in, purple rank killer, and every que is a match against a group of red rank survivors who honestly make the game hell.
I get it, GIT GUD, etc. but I play the game to have fun, this is not fun. I don't want to have to sweat my ass off every single game. I want to go against people with the same amount of experience as me.
"Oh ok, how about you wait some time to derank and play against players of your own caliber?"
That really doesn't work, I didn't play for an entire month (even though I wanted to, I enjoy the gameplay concept), and I went up a whole 2 ranks... Wanna know how long it took me to get back to the same position? like 4 games or something
So I don't get it, am I just supposed to stop playing or something? Because it's really not fun being stomped every match
Its not that it's too easy to rank up as killer, its that there are many in-game systems that cater more to survivors than killers. The fact that these toxic survivors do everything in their power to give killers the hardest time for simply playing the game is a shame. There's nothing that helps player retention on the killer side, and that's why survivor queues have stayed consistently long, killer in many cases just isn't fun after a certain point. The best thing to do is either to stop caring about pips/wining or losing and to just play the game, which is hard to do i know.

I know where you want to go with these inane questions, and it is a moot direction. We are talking about CHOICE, not application. Players must have agency or they lose interest. Whether they exercise it or not, it is important that it is an option.
While i wish they would just come to understand the very nicely laid out points you presented it seems like they wont and just want to argue for the sake of it.

I was actually looking forward a little to using Lucky Break but not now. A 1-time use perk that depends on the killer to close their eyes to get any value is a hard pass for me and seems very ridiculous. The devs obviously listened to killer mains again and are scared to give survivors any good perks. Tinkerer certainly wasn’t nerfed when it was obvious how busted it is.
All someone has to do is look at all the godly killer perks, with powerful effects, and can be used multiple times without question. Tinkerer is literally unavoidable and is multiple uses and is a free win and with only 2 survivors are left as it causes a stalemate. A perk shouldn’t guarantee wins. It made it to live as is, but Lucky Break is most likely only a 1-time use and it’s a dead perk. Lucky Break shouldn’t have a timer or at least have a long one to give you time to evade and heal. 45 seconds is literally nothing.
Huntress was proudly left in a busted state while only nerfing her one addon. Freddy can still teleport to the survivor objective with BBQ. Buffed another licensed killer.
Why wasn’t a licensed survivor buffed?
Very disappointed in the update and the lack of equality.
While I get that at this point you're trolling because you dont have anything better to do, im kinda tired of these low effort posts by you. You complain about these simple perks that killers have, with very simple counters mind you, and that survivors are just so weak in every sense. Lucky Break is still a usable perk, if it lasted for the amount of time it did in the ptb it just gets rid of any reason to use any other perk that hides scratch marks.

So new Lucky Break is now 45 seconds. A Self-Care heal is 32 seconds. That means you effectively get 13 seconds of use out of this perk.
If you don't self-care and use a teammate the heal is 16 seconds, but you still have to find someone which usually takes more than 16 seconds. Any way you put it, you get less than 15 seconds of actual use.
Great, devs! You really showed how scared you are of killer backlash. You changed one single perk to be good and usable in 3 years and then you backpedalled so hard and made it useless.
Oh yes because they reduced the time of a perk that all 4 survivors could run to remove all visual tracking tools for killers. Its fine honestly, since there are also other perks that can take away scratch marks multiple instances during the match. If lucky break stayed for the full 90 seconds then it just invalidates Poised, Babysitter, Dance with me, Deception, Distortion, and Self Preservation doesn't it?

NoED is not a 'free down' or 'not worked for'. The Killer has to play the entire match with 3 perks, THEN Survivors have to not cleanse it.
But again; Survivors blaming Killers for their own mistakes. Survivors don't cleanse totems & bang out gens too fast? 'KILLER NO SKILL NoED!'
Then again; the Killers ALSO have to find people after it activates. And chase them, and down them. But sure; no skill. Survivors messing up is Killers being no skill now.
How about Survivors 4 second chance perks each? And SWF? With voice comms?
But sure; evil camping NoED Killers who have to slow down 4 people! But they're not allowed to camp, or tunnel, or slug, or run powerful perks. That's all 'anti-fun' and as well all know; only Survivor fun matters.
That's all these threads are; just attempts to prevent Killers from ever winning, because losing is 'anti-fun', and Survivors couch it behind 'Stop camping!' and 'Only bad Killers use NoED!' garbage posts.
The only sensible solution is to just never play killer til survivors queues are 30+ minutes or they implement bots, cause that seems like what survivors want to play against.

Because facecamping is not the only way to tunnel. A killer can return to the hook after you try to heal or do anything useful and proceed to tunnel.
That's not tunneling its just playing smart, why would a killer not go back to the hook where 2/4 survivors are?
-
Honestly they need to just fix grabbing in general. The same way people complain about pallets not stunning atm is how grabs need to be treated. If i get a grab it shouldn't be taken away because of latency, they need to be consistent. The biggest scenario where this becomes apparent is survivors continuously attempting the unhook action and canceling to force the regular hit versus the grab. If survivors had to commit to the unhook and weren't able to spam the action killers could capitalize on bad unhooks more effectively.

Not necessarily, just because you're doing another action, you're still being deliberately targeted because you're closer to being sacrificed. Besides, If less players are using it because of its nurf, then there is more tunneling as a result, which is the point of the thread. I just don't under stand the reasoning for it.
If you can progress the game by healing, unhooking, doing gens, then you cant complain about the killer progressing the game too. Why is it ok for one side and not for the other? Survivors shouldn't be able to undo killers work just because they deem it "unfair".
-
Low rank survivors get destroyed by killers because they dont know how to play yet. Once survivors get better at the game, learning how to run and chain loops, having perks to grant them more chances, and just understanding the killer cant be everywhere at once you start to see that they can absolutely prevent the killer from getting any kills. Sure anyone can claim killer is easy against rank 20s but when you get competent survivors, true rank 1s, its a different story.

Just over 3600 games as killer and no camping does not have to be done in many cases. I easily get 2-4ks and good bloodpoints without having to resort to camping. I don't camp or tunnel because I know how crappy it feels to have done to you as a survivor.
In situations when gens are done a bit too fast its optimal to camp someone out of the game. A 3v1 will always be better odds for the killer than a 4v1, if you don't choose to camp or tunnel that's great for you but it is necessary at times.

When I am on the hook in a high rank game and all the other 3 survivors are crouching on different parts of the map, neither starting generators nor saving me until I am dead?
Sometimes one of them pretends to run forward to me just after i get sacrificed.
It happens to often to be a coincidece.
Is it robots playiing in my match?
Did you experience it?
What is going on?
The general level of survivors is on the floor and ranking up is pretty easy so you get red rank survivors that play like yellows.

Right says the killer main who happily moans when survivors play emersed you can't have it both ways you either want survivors to show themselves or not fixing this will help killers in the long run
Ah yes, start with the immediate insult to belittle my claim. Moving that aside, anybody that plays killer long enough knows that camping has to be done in many cases. The killer doesn't have time to 12-hook the survivor group and they aren't responsible for survivors having fun in the game or being in the game long. Its the survivors job to stay alive and the killers job to kill, if you get camped then you need to run the killer better and not get caught. With DS, Borrowed Time, and having 3 other teammates, you can absolutely beat any mindless camper, but no lets gut any playstyle that doesn't let 4 man escapes happen because "the killer is ruining the survivor experience".

Inspired by Trickstaaaaa's post, I want to ask the community, how would you fix the problem of the stress that comes with playing killer?
I'm sure most of us are well aware that playing killer is no walk in the park, especially when compared to the survivor experience. More often than not, a single mistake on the killer's part could cost what would've been a victory, having to then rely on a survivor's own mistake which can be hard due to second-chance perks (E.G. Deadhard and Unbreakable).
What could be changed to rectify this? Should survivors be given more to worry about? Should their second-chance perks be nerfed? Or should the killer experience itself change? Would the mythical "Early Game Collapse" help?
With the way the game is now, promoting swf groups, I guess its not much you can do about playing against them. My problems with killer don't really revolve around swf but with general mechanics that are too inconsistent for me not to notice. The biggest offender is Grabbing because the game doesn't want to register my grabs most of the time. I hate the fact that I can go in for a grab on somebody working on a gen or unhooking, see the animation start to play out, then just stop and I have to keep trying.

I understand that camping is a strategy but why should I lose my pips because some sad act thought he wants to look at my meg dangle on a hook if you're gonna say camping and tunnelling is a strategy at least give me points for staying in the match when I could just DC or kill myself atm camping and tunnelling are occurring a lot now DS has been nerfed so yea give me points for hanging around and you might not get so many complaints
Camping does not need to be fixed, because there's nothing wrong with it. If you don't want to be subjected to dangling on the hook you need to not be caught. I get that being camped sucks but the killer is just doing their one objective in the game, so can you really be mad at them? There are plenty of perks to help you get out of situations like that and if you dont have them one of your 3 teammates can.

Evolve being similar to among us or fall guys? Can you elaborate as to how the comparison fits?
Evolves player base died mostly due to marketing, but my main concern with dbd is the end of life game capabilities (eventually none since it's multiplayer only) being similar to evolves end of life.
The biggest thing about evolve is the fact that people didn't like how they handled dlc but in this day and age its pretty common place and that's sad.

The 2 extra chests wouldn't be too bad if some chests were decoys or something! You open the chest and there's nothing in there, boooo
That fact that they had to remove the condition to decrease item rarity from the perk, which likely broke regular chest rarity, makes you wonder why this perk was made when Franklins is already a valid and better anti-item perk.

i haven't gone against the new lucky break yet because I cant get on the PTB
but still the new lucky doesn't seem that bad, The surv has to really on so many things to hapen
they have to get a decent map for hiding, they cant get a killer that has a one-shot to hits and runs.
Like always with survivor perks its not the single instance of it that's so bad but when you get 4 lucky breaks, which will be pretty common, thats when it gets to be a bit much.

I would like Hoarder to get buffed probably make it to where you can see auras of survivors near 4 meters a chest for 5 seconds and if they finished searching a chest they become exposed for 30 seconds something like that.
I think killer perks should never buff survivors, what's the point of me bringing a perk and that giving 2 more chests to the survivor team?
