New lucky break wont be that bad for killers

i haven't gone against the new lucky break yet because I cant get on the PTB

but still the new lucky doesn't seem that bad, The surv has to really on so many things to hapen

they have to get a decent map for hiding, they cant get a killer that has a one-shot to hits and runs.

  • You would be surprised how effective no scratch marks for 90 seconds is when you stack it with Iron Will

Like always with survivor perks its not the single instance of it that's so bad but when you get 4 lucky breaks, which will be pretty common, thats when it gets to be a bit much.

  • Oh the optimism.

i mean it will be annoying for M1 killers

  • It wouldn't be THAT bad if the timer didn't pause when healed. The fact that they can bring Iron Will and a medkit to get away and pause the timer, putting the killer in a lose lose situation if they decide to continue chase or drop chase is the real issue because the killer will be unable to build any pressure in the early game when they need it the most.

  • I think it will be as used as the small pp build, but more annoying since most of the time you will most likely lose the survivor after getting in that first hit.

  • Well as killer when chasing you are first using your eyes : scratchmarks then Blood.

Then you also use your ears : Grunt of pain, breathing sounds/footsteps.

    ----

New Lucky Break is taking care of all vision tracking.

Most people will use Iron Will with it, leaving only breathing and footsteps to track the survivor.

Most of the time, the survivor will easily get off the chase. Which means time wasted as killer who need to go and search for someone else. Imagine 4 people running it ? 4 people that escape every first chase and have the time to heal/do gens ? That's a lot of time wasted, and time is money for killers ^^

  • It's an extremely OP perk when the survivor most need it: not to be found. And he won't be found indeed.

Another crutch perk that takes 0 skill and only endorses a really boring gameplay.

  • I think that iron will combined with the new lucky break will be a horrible experience for the killer on maps where you can lose line of sight very fast. Most people dont realize the true power of iron will (it is far more powerful then beeing able to hide in some corner injured), good survivor use it to make jukes midchase, because the grunts of pain are missing, they can mind game(fake a direction and double back to get some distance and reach another loop/vault.

Lucky break with iron will combined will probably be so powerful, that the survivor can escape mid chase in a lot of situations, if he can find a good spot to run out of line of sight during chase, which is kind of insane.

  • Taking away 2 of the biggest tracking techniques in the entire game for 90 seconds is completley game breaking. Stack it with iron will and you're instantly much MUCH harder to track for the entirety that you're injured.

  • IMO they need to make it activate multiple times but only for 10-20 seconds, whatever feels right OR increase grunts of pain by 50% during the duration of Lucky Break. It's actually crazy on maps like Hawkins, or even normal maps like Coldwind. They can juke you at a jungle gym or run after you break a pallet, and you'll have no idea where they went.

  • So, they have to get the most common occurrence?

And that's just for straight up losing a chase. Iron Will alone gives survivors an insane amount of distance thanks to the unreliability of blood and scratchmarks - and now both of those are going away. How much distance do you think survivors are going to be gaining when you stack up all those moments of hesitation brought on by a lack of tracking?
