If your idea of fair is being able to 1vs1 the killer then no
It isn't supposed to be "fair"Depends, a 1k skilled survivor should be able to 1v1 a newbie killer with 100 hours. A 1k hours skilled killer should be able to down a 100 hours newbie survivor extremely quick.
When both are experienced and at the same skill level, it should be a "normal chase", not long and not to short. End result is a 2 dead and 2 escape ratio. That's the theory, obviously reality is much more complicated than that.

The only reason I "care" about ranks is because I rarely play SWF. If you are a rank 10 and have a rank 10 killer but your team mates are all fuckwits then what are you supposed to do. The amount of times I have been camped because I have looped a noob killer around all game but my team mates have hid in lockers instead of commiting to gens when I am looping is unreal.
I'm going to disappoint you if you really think this changes at red ranks. Boosted survivors are at any ranks. In fact, red ranks has somehow a lot of survivors who don't care about others.
-
You better don't care about pips my friend, it's meaningless.
-
Hag is fine as she is, she doesn't need changes.
-
Play Killer, that's gonna help you.
Edit: in DbD, not irl tho.
-
So, looping her becomes even more easy? Good job devs. Why was this change needed? I don't get it, now some important strategys won't work anymore.
-
Nurse. Spirit.

Bait post?
I'm sure you know that you're not meant to go that route with 110% speed killers. Huntress doesn't play like that, Hag doesn't play like that, Spirit is all about fooling the survivors to get the hit in, only you-know-who is 110% speed and might benefit from an anti-loop playstyle.
But you knew this already, so now I'm curious why you're posting this lol
Yeah I asked him what killer would benefit with that. I use Bruteforce builds only on 115% ms killers, never found it useful on 110%
-
Brutal strenght is not worth a whole slot, better using BBQ or ruin.
But I'm just thinking right now, you don't really need an anti pallet bruteforce build on 110% ms killers. Most can't counter it with M2 or am I missing something?
I use the bruteforce builds on 115% killers like Myers or wraith tho
-
The existence of nurse is important for DbD, she's truly the only killer who can dominate a hardcore sweaty swf genrush e-sport group.
She's fine, everyone who wants her nerfed never experienced facing such a sweaty swf group by himself or is straight a survivor main (or someone biased towards survivor).

@harry14141414 can you PM me a link to that video?

Flashlight is the counter to Hag though. It's not exactly a counter to Wraith, more of a nuisance. But against a REALLY good Hag you need to be able to disarm those traps quickly.
Though maybe if she had an add-on that increased her trap defense against flashlights that would be a good option. Then you run that and Franklin's to counter flashlights as Hag.
Would be just another bandaid fix. We need to learn and understand that fixing issues with perks/addons is not how you should do it

I actually think the token gain sound is the best thing ever.

Can you share it please?

Maybe yes lol

Ban waves are not going to change the habit of survivors. They will just simply start suiciding on hook or stay afk. Something different is needed.
-
Currently killer, playing survivor is kinda burned out for me. It's nearly the same thing since release. Last event was a reason to play more survivor, I enjoyed the to interact with lanterns.
-
Beautiful perk when I play solo survivor, horrible perk when I verse coordinated swf groups. Also seeing cloaked wraith is stupid tho, negates his whole power and makes him even worse than freddy
-
But why tho? Isn't it better to sacrifice a little bit on both sides for better health and balance of DbD?
-
No, but a lot are just giving up when they notice you use prayer beats. They immediately suicide on hook.

Getting rid of moris would essentially be like getting rid of what makes a Killer unique. People love Killers for their abilities and design, but seeing moris really lets you feel something strong towards that Killer and their strengths. Moris aren’t fair for Survivors, yes, and Keys aren’t fair for Killers. What I would suggest is getting rid of Keys from chests in-game and remove the offerings that allow them to keep the key if they die on hook or use them to unlock the hatch. I would THEN suggest reworking on mori’s function, having them be used when a Survivor is on their second hook or when all the gens are powered. This is just my opinion though on these two, but seeing any rework or change to these two would be a nice QoL change.
But my friend, I was only talking about removing Ebony mori (the ultra rare version to kill all 4), I would still keep green mori as it is.
-
@Orion said:
You're not the only one who wants them removed, but I disagree with the justification. Items are not offerings, and Memento Mori are one of the few things that put the horror in this asymmetrical horror game.
EDIT: Also, Mori animations kick ass.
Green mori would still exit, imo it's quite fair. Yellow mori is pretty much useless, I would rework that tho, but that's a different topic.
-
@PiiFree said:
Do you seriously want to remove moris? The only thing that allows us to slaughter Survivors? You gotta be kidding.
EBONY mori only, green and yellow are fine (yellow to weak needs a rework imo)

I thought this was neat, but instead of a full reset, every red light on the switch would be an indicator of a checkpoint.
So when you pass 25% exit gate switch progression, the red light turns on as usual and it can't reset below 25% anymore.
Then the same for 50 & 75%.
Sounds a bit to easy tho, I would give only one checkpoint at 50%

Then they'd just lobby dodge until they got into a lobby with their friends to troll the killer. Hell, with the new matchmaker, you probably wouldn't even need to dodge, just queue up at the same time.
I don't think so, I remember at Beta release it was a thing, but really exhausting and time consuming to do so. And how many people were playing in average back then? 1k or so?
Now we have 5 seconds cooldown and waaay more people playing (I think multiple 10+k players in average) so that's gonna be nearly impossible, especially all 4 together.
-
Honestly, it's fine for solos. SWF is just making this perk broken (sometimes tho).
The devs should lock out OoO for SWF, only solos should be able to use it.
-
U can LOL and dismiss the truth as much as you want, but facts won't change. Keep crying.
-
"kinda deserves" No he doesn't. You should play a bit dark souls and see by yourself what rewards the game thinks you deserve or not.
Takes no skill and I already see F13th in front of my eyes with this.

Totems are the secondary objective. Nobody does them. That's why NOED is activated.
It's an optional second objective, and a boring one aswell (just holding M1).
The real second objective this game needs should be something you HAVE to do as survivor in order to work on gens/open the gates.
-
Explain how he is a crutch. He's the most balanced killer at the game imo
-
I'm tired of people hating on legion, and encouraging people to d/c against him. So i'm going to point out why all your arguments for this are invalid.
Sight, alright let's make it real quick for you:
1. You can juke a nurse with LOS, 360s, fake 360s, running to her, faking to run to her, dissappearing after every fatigue. The fact alone that she has a fatigue is already giving counterplay, while Legion can miss and miss and miss and miss and eventually hit you after 4 misses in 2 seconds without punishment or counterplay. A nurse also can't cheese chase you like Legion can. Also, the skilllevel of survivors against Legion is the same. A 4k hours survivor main will get downed as fast as 100 hours beginner. That's not the case against nurse, which clearly shows the counterplay part.
2. In a 1v1 situation stealth isn't working, Legion has no punishment for missing an attack, he will stick on you till he downed you. Or till you got cheese chased omegalul.
3. Quit lying, Legion is a killer made for beginners, he's probably the easiest to pick up. I can juke a decent nurse with 1k hours for a very long time. But a legion with around 100 hours playtime will catch me faster. But a 100 hours nurse is going to be a clown fest, 100% will get bullied by rank 15 survivors cuz she's difficult to learn. So yeah, argument busted aswell.
4. A Legion who needs more than 60 seconds to catch a survivor is just an absolute trash killer, simple is that. Any Legion wit half a brain will catch survivor under 60 seconds (yes, without Frank's mixtape).
Pretty much all arguments lame, try again.
-
1. Do you hate yourself aswell now?
2. You are not going to change the minds of those "change my mind"-people with this post

The first generator? Really?
What's the issue? It's the better than having it destroyed within the first 30 seconds.
-
We already have the Wraith start off cloaked at the beginning of the trial, why not make the Pig start off crouched as well?
If you can explain to us what the benefit is.. Otherwise it's just a change for the sake of changing
-
Freddy will get a rework anyway. The only real question is will we get a rework this year lol

Why say hes good just too say good saviors can destroy him. If a killer cannot beat a good survivor team the killer is underpowered you're basically saying he's good at destroying casual players that aren't good at the game.
That's not what I said (or meant to say). Wraith gets stomped by death squads, and nearly every killer can get stomped by death squads except nurse, billy and spirit (with certain addons).
This doesn't mean that wraith is trash, or the worst killer. It just means swf is to powerful.
-
There is no problem to solve with adrenalin.
-
An issue which wasn't existent till a certain update (around spirit release if I remember correctly) so it's not lag/latency, it's something in the game code (or netcode).
-
@Orion said:
Yes, it is. It was in the shrine before, without any changes to it, so why would now be any different? You're seeing a pattern that doesn't exist.
I'm just "suprised" by the timing you know, kinda like "here guys, enjoy the broken DS for some days till th update drops" u what I mean? Could be RNG, could be the devs. We will never know.
-
@makayla said:
Doesn't matter to me since it's going to be getting nerfed soon anyway.
If I do recall correctly it's been in the shrine 3/4 times since BBQ has been in the shrine which sucks but it's just crappy RNG.
It does matter. Not because of DS itself, but because it would mean that the shrine is a lie to us (imo the shrine needs a rework anyway, it's outdated with all the perks we have now)

I prefer to hide.
That is why IF I play this game, I always use Distortion.
Being chased all game, whether gens are done or not isn’t fun for me.
Nothing against you tho, but I assume you are bad at getting chased and you get downed quick right? Because that's almost everytime the mindset of someone who isn't good at (efficient) looping and therefore they don't enjoy beeing on hook after 15 seconds chasing.
I don't know a single player who is really good at getting chased long but don't enjoy it and rather avoid the killer as much as possible.
-
What do you mean exactly?
Like for example one survivor left and still 5 gens up and the survivor still tries?
Or the opposite? I'm doing it sometimes. If the killer played extremely fair, but just got stomped by certain maps (I'm looking at you farm maps) but was skilled af -> I let him kill me. Fun fact: most killers don't accept that kill, they still let me go.

Offerings are consumed before the trial even loads.
Yeah this has to change imo, I really don't understand why they still haven't changed that.
-
Wraith is damn good after his rework. Give him windstorm and swift hunt addons (imo should be basekit, naked wraith is still kinda hardcore to dominate) and he is deadly af. With certain perks like nurses, spirit fury and enduring you can end chases damn quick.
Is he high tier? Hell no, swf can still stomp him. Especially when they use OoO cuz they can still see you beeing invisible.
But he's better than Leatherface, Freddy (ofc), pig, trapper, doctor and Legion imo
-
I thing it depends on the intention of the player who Q's up as survivor.
Some Q up to win, but enjoy getting chased. Those want to get chased, but not tunneled like no tomorrow without a chance to escape.
Others (like me) only care about getting chased, I have the most fun when the killer gives me "special" attention the whole match. A reason why I use bright cosmetics is so I get spotted easily and have fun. Sometimes I care about escaping, sometimes I don't.
-
Stupid idea, but what if you trap someone for 5 gens so you can use noed on him? Does this count as bannable offense?
-
It doesn't has to be bannable, bhvr should have just implemented a mechanic to replace offerings. For example you used a pudding and 2+ DCed -> game should ask you if you still want to consume the pudding or not (and obviously you will get it refunded).
Maybe they will add it with dedicated serves, but my hope is pretty low tbh
-
Let me break it quickly down for you.
Billy would be trash then and looped for years.
Killer with less than 115% ms usually have something to counter loops effectively.
Billy kinda has curving, but imagine catching up first to the point curving would be possible = easily 5+ loops around he same pallet. Not even mentioning to miss or early pallet drops.
Billy is fine and current the most balanced killer, everyone who wants to touch and change billy in any way shows to me he hasn't understand he basics of DbD.
-
Honestly? I don't see any of these perks beeing that much useful or fun, would only increase the grind.
