you are right.
still, at this state of the game we do not have a 2nd objective, so all we can do is to make them hold M1 longer or get genrushed and lose.
i am okay with thanatophobia getting nerfed once an actual secondary objective is realeased, but right now we actually need it.
You are kinda right, I'm just afraid that once the devs bandaid fixed genrush they will tell us that a 2nd objective isn't necessary anymore cuz they gave us tools to combat that issue.

No comparing the two. Tru3 cries about op survivors while camping like crazy. Then mocks survivors that are not toxic. The guy is annoying and pompous. He often uses Monto's build ideas weeks after Monto and still acts like he thought of them himself.
I used to be a Tru3 fan until I really broadened my knowledge of the game and content creators.
Tru3 mocks non-toxic survivors? That's new to me, I had the picture of him beeing one of the nicest dbd streamer. I don't watch alot of him tho, u have an example? I'm interested to see that

Heh suuuuure that's why two out of the three matches in his vid showed him getting his ass whupped. Monto ain't afraid to show when he messes up and loses.
Don't be jelly of him because he probably did better with his feet than you do with your two hands.
Noone would be afraid to show getting stomped while playing with feet, or no blink nurse etc etc, don't act as it's something special.
Don't be jelly of me because I probably play better without touching my pc at all than you do with your two hands and hacks.

Pallet looping is definitely an exploit, as it shares several features with other exploits.
The survivors' collision is smaller than the killers', so survivors can turn around corners faster and make sharper turns. This causes the killers' faster movement speed to become less relevant, and it only gets worse when you take into account that survivors (the most experienced ones at least) literally hug walls and debris in general, and the killer, because of their 1st person POV, can't do the same.
Survivors are not passively just using pallet looping because it is there, they caused it to exist in the first place* and they have not practised any playstyle that doesn't crutch with pallet loops in two years.
*at one point, in the early days of Dead by daylight, survivors started to use pallets to farm and grief the killer rather than escape chases. Killers complained, got told to "just adapt", and we did. We started playing the hokey-cokey at pallets, when survivors were about to drop them. Long story short, the survivor dropped the pallet, missed the stun, and the chase continued. The situation worsened when a bug that caused stuns to award max boldness points was introduced. Some survivors would even disconnect after missing a stun, they were so desperate for the points, lol. Anyway, at that point killers started lunging mid cokey to get hits in and cut the BS short. Survivors went ballistic and drowned the forums in over nine thousand threads about "unfair" hits through pallet drops. So, patch 1.1.1 dropped and brought several buffs to pallets with it, the most noticeable one being the so-called "pallet vacuum". But there were also a set of unlisted changes that included changes to both the range and time-window for a pallet stun, and also a reduction in the survivors' collision box.
Devs said it's not, it's fine and they wont change it. Period. Cry somewhere else about looping beeing an exploit, you are making yourself looking like fool.
-
Sometimes farming is the better than not unhooking. For example:
you are going to hit stage 2 soon -> unhook. Either you escape or you get downed and hooked again (both is wasting more time of the killer)
Someone who tries to rescue you got spotted in a deadzone next to you -> unhook, cuz getting slugged next to the hook is to powerful for the killer
-
He probably played against low ranks, and he probably used only the good matches like in all his videos.
No hate towards Monto, I watched some videos back then and enjoyed the content. But its funny how some people say that Monto is better than tru3 for example, while tru3 verses the sweaty tryhard bully squads and Monto uploads only how he stomps potatoes.
Not really impressive that video imo

If the killer manages to catch you even if you abuse an uncounterable exploit, you're flat out friggin' bad. Swallow your pride and admit it.
What are you talking about?
1. Looping is not an exploit, devs said so
2. A killer with a half brain will eventually get you if your mates aren't optimal at gens. Pallets and windows are limited, you can't 1v1 a killer for 10+ minutes. It's not 2016 anymore.

@Peanits said:
The issue I see with that is that you still have a category that either gives you all our nothing. If you do really well, save some people, do some generators, and then die trying to save someone, you get nothing and you're 5/6k points lower than you could be.
Personally, I'd rather see the escape points reduced and instead give people points based on how long they've survived. For example, 1,000 per generator that has been completed by the time you're sacrificed, 3,000 for escaping, total of 8,000. That way you're rewarded for surviving as long as you can, but you don't lose a bunch of points just because you didn't get out the gate.
Yep, sounds really good. It would actually also help a survivor who got tunneled all game but kept the killer busy for the team.
You should work together with the balancing team @Peanits your ideas are good.
-
@malloymk said:
I actually think you should max at survival if you escape or killer dc's. If you leave in the hatch you should get less points. But that's just my opinion.
Yeah, it's pretty impossible to max out the survival category. If I remember correctly, you get 500ish points for wiggling out of the killers grasp, so you can imagine how often that has to happen in order to get the full 8k lol
-
Absolutly yes, risking things at its own is already fun. Holding M1 is basically watching grass growing, but just a little bit faster lol.
As long as you idea sounds fair and fun I'm all in to support that!
(Btw I play both sides pretty equaly, currently more killer but overall balanced)

Punishing survivors for mistakes is not a good move, even if they have ample tools to help them. Next patch, when a killer hits someone he also gives him a key to exit the game faster. I know it doesnt seem fair, but that's just your opinion ... a valid one. If you dont like it, play survivor or go play Civilization.
Name is program.

Indeed, rather than hold M1 all game, you get to run in circles all game. Truly, much variety.
M1 is braindead, getting chased is interactive and against smart killer not just running in circles for 5 gens.

@altruistic @HavelmomDaS1 Guys, come on, for real now. It's such an obvious joke.
And why I think NOED doesn't reward bad killers? Because not one single person has to die because of NOED, as long as the survivors play well. It's just a hex after all. A killer with insta-down ability can apply much more pressure than a shiny totem. Additionally, the survivors must have failed in cleansing all the totems for NOED to get activated in the first place. Seriously, if a killer gets 2 or 3 additional kills because of NOED, the survivors must have played so bad that they deservingly lose.
NOED and Adrenaline are both fine.
I was only breaking down the core of adrenalin and noed because you compared them. I personally don't have really a big issue with both perks

Quentin will be the last one who gets new cosmetics. Myers and Laurie will get them if anyone.

The Legion was what forced survivors to counter a new mechanic, deep wounds. Deep wounds, I think, just forced survivors to adapt, so they finally figured out what a lot of other survivors had already learned: "Oh hey, if I don't bother healing and just rush gens I can end games faster... Huh!"
Yeah, Legion was like the final kick in the head of the last survivor to realize the no healing genrush meta. Ofc, trash survivors who can't stealth and can't run the killer will fail hard or keep using selfcare.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
Since some survivor mains complain that NOED would reward bad killers, should we start saying that Adrenaline rewards bad survivors?
Logical fallacy my friend.
Noed -> rewards the "failure" of killing survivors till the end.
Adrenalin -> rewards the success to stay alive till the end.
-
Are you aware that DS is already a different perk in the current PTB and will 100% be in the next live update?
-
I used since release adrenalin, best perk ever and it took me a week or so to realize it.
The true reason why it got so popular lately is the healing speed nerf, people are pissed and bored to hold M1, especially against sloppy butcher and Thana players, but also the release of Legion made healing a huge waste of time.
All together -> F selfcare, adrenalin ftw.
Basically killer who wanted healing nerfed shot themselves, the genrush is even worse now.

Even if it isn't base kit it would be a nice buff for Corrupt Intervention to make it effect totems. I would probably run it if it effected totems to be honest.

@Delfador said:
Well devs themselves said that it is not gonna go live. I am just so disappointed in changes.
Head on will be affected by enduring? Already difficult to pull off and very dangerous perk that makes you exhausted will be worthless? They know how to create a dead perk.
And DS? Now if you want to tunnel a person, you can equip enduring and don't give a ######### about that. Changes are great...
Agreeing with you, I haven't tested head that much, but it seems to be to difficult to pull off and with enduring probably useless. Maybe removing the exhaustion effect so you can combine it with dead hard would be great, idk.
And yes, the DS beeing an anti tunnel perk seems to be easy nullified by using enduring. So basically u want to tunnel? Just use enduring and you fine lol

Bumping this because I'm suprised that it got no reaction, probably went down by a Chinese spam over night lol

@Shad03 the 2 v 8 doesn’t bring anything new besides more players in a match. I’m talking about giving us something brand new. We are a really big community so I’m certain that if we all actually try and not be stuck up our own asses in the process, actually work together instead of choosing sides, we could actually make something that is fun, balanced, and new.
Yeah exactly, never understood the 8v2 "hype", it would be basically the same.
-
I think the change wouldn't matter, people would have DCed/suicide against Legion anyway lol
-
Bald dwight. Always. Everything else isn't important, either go with default cosmetics (this triggers killer the most if you are actually skilled and waste his time a lot) or shiny bright colours.
-
The issue is: the devs were creating content and bandaid fixes all around the current game mode. It will be an insane difficult task to create a new BALANCED gamemode.
On the other side I'm thinking it shouldn't be that crazy to create a last man standing fun mode or similar. The community is big now, splitting them won't hurt.

What would be the explanation for the Entity bringing a Xenomorph into its realm, though? All the Killers are humans/former humans that have somehow been warped into killers. Bringing in a Xenomorph would be like bringing in a bear.

If you dont want to go down just stay near a loop whenever you hear the heartbeat instead of trying to squeeze the gen until the killer is on your ass, problem solved.
For me everyone who complains in any way about billy ("nerf him" or "buff him") has no clue about DbD and is probably absolutly trash at playing killer or playing survivor

So if you just move your mouse very quickly, it won't have the same effect? What about using a joystick, like someone else mentioned?
Basically its possible, but using Q and E has 2 reasons: you have more Controll and don't need to raise your mouse sensitivity to maximum + it's more comfortable to use q and E while Crusing around the map
-
So, you want to remove one of the very few techniques with depth in this already very casual game from the overall most balanced killer, cuuuuuz.... u don't like it?
Disgusting, really disgusting what some people want. Please quit playing if Q and E is such big deal for you.
Sorry, but this post literally is to much. And if I remember correctly you made some posts about how you destroy the fun of other players on purpose, so: I hope you will go against the most sweaty tryhard billys who perfected Q and E curving for the rest of all your future DbD matches.

When you are in a chase:
Nurse: Use walls and structures with double flours to break line of sight.
Billy: Never try to go for a window if you see him charging his chainsaw. If he has his chainsaw ready and you are in the open dont go for his blindspot, It doesnt work against Billy mains, try to circle in front of him to make him guess on which direction you gonna 360 him.
Spirit: When she is using her power you can try to blind her with a flashlight, if the beam gets smaller until you effectively blind her she is real and you should not get near her. Listen to her footsteps when in phase mode as they are louder. You can check where she is by looking at the grass or pointing with the flashlight, if she is in phase mode her character model is still wherever she is, that means the flashlight beam will show you where she is because It will get smaller (as if you were pointing at an invisible wall) when you point at her.
Shape: Dont let him stalk you, try to break line of sight as much as you can.
Pig: Abandon the loop if she crouches to ambush you.
Trapper: If the traps are in a pallet then drop it first and then jump it, if you manage to see them just circle around them as if they were part of the loop (keep in mind some traps cant be deactivated or evaded)
Hag: Abuse her 110%ms, whenever you see her place a trap leave the loop or burn it with a flashlight, you can also try to activate it at the farest range possible so that she cant lunge.
Huntress: Dont get stuck in animations when she is holding a hatchet (dont drop pallet or jump windows). Just like hag abuse her 110%ms. Keep in mind she is slower when holding a hatchet. Crouch whenever you are looping an "eye contact loop" (Autohaven loops)
Clown: Just loop this guy, honestly there is no problem. Drop pallets a little earlier until he runs out of bottles, when he starts reloading just run as far away as you can and keep far distance.
Wraith: Loop him, camp pallets and dont try to go for a window if he is close to you, he'll bodyblock you even if he is standing next to you and not between you and the window.
Leatherface: Just loop him, nothing to worry about. Stay near loops if you hear the hart beat, if he finds you in the open you are dead.
Freddy: Check the grass around you. Just like The Spirit. His character model is always there when he is invisible so you can use the flashlight beam to check where he is. Once he is visible he is easy to loop. Keep in mind his lunge range looks smaller than what it actually is, dont underestimate it.
Hope this helps :)
Noob guide 101 lol.. I feel like 70% of rank 1s don't even know half of that

If Mori's were made to work on last hook, they'd be completely useless. As they currently stand, Mori's are balanced.
It's irrelevant if lower-skilled survivors find them unfair as they can learn to play better. It shouldn't be down to the devs to compensate for one's lack of skill and willingness to learn.
We need to be fair and admit that Ebony moris are overkill, especially on omega nurse for example. But Green moris are fine and balanced imo, especially against swf.
-
I don't want to sound harsh but... If a game can only keep you motivated with these "rewards" then the actual game itself isn't good and you sound like a casual who doesn't play for fun but for "rewards".

Yep good suggestion, I want something similar for pc
-
Farm map offering is still stronger lol
-
Uhm you know that mori a survivor usually takes longer than just hooking? So why would anyone mori a survivor on death hook?
-
@Orion the thing is, those little chicken survivors who don't want to verse certain offerings are currently already DC'ing during the loading screen, they don't need that feature to do so.
Furthermore, imo all offerings should be secret when implementing this feature so you hit 2 issues with one patch
-

Looping and 360 "fixed" (drag walking into a wall & cap mouse spins)
Sound notification when mic is getting any input
Pallets breaking when fast vaulted repeatedly
About the pallets: I assume you mean the scenario of survivors spamming the vault to spam the notification and annoy/distract the killer right? And as long as you are getting chased it won't break no matter how often you vault, right?
I'm all for it, something similar should apply on Windows, they should get blocked if you vault to often, no matter if chased or not.
-
The real issue of Legion is that the deep wound timer goes down while getting cheesed chased and that missing attacks in frenzy has no real punishment (-> no counterplay, and already nearly impossible jukes/dodges of his M2 attack gets rewarded with... still eating a stab 1 second later by a followed up attack without cooldown).
Fixing these 2 things will make him less braindead and more enjoyable for survivors. Frank's mixtape should not exist how it is now and I would also suggest to give him 115% movement speed.
-
Bugfixes, reworks and balancing. I don't want/need new content, I have enough of that.

Yep, that's really latency and completely fine. That's nothing compared to some other crazy hitboxes happening quite often

Nobody has ever been hit from 5 feet away. Why are you pretending the problem is worse than it is?
And physical contact? Latency is built-in to the way information travels between your computer and the killer's. It's an unavoidable fact of life that information cannot travel faster than the speed of light; along with the time it takes to process things, that creates latency. It's physically impossible to guarantee both players see the exact same thing at the exact same time.
Oh boy many did, there are some crazy hitbox montages on YouTube lol
-
They don't mainly dc because they lose. In fact, it's easy to do a 4 man escape. The issue is that even if you manage to 4 man escape, it doesn't make fun. Versing Legion is unfun, the chase is unfun, stealthing is unfun and holding M1 Genrushing is unfun.

But they invest money to the cosmetic team instead into the bug fixing team. Its about WHERE to put your resources (money) and for many (including me) other feels like they put way to much recourses for cosmetics instead for actual coding and bug fixing.

The issue, in theory, is that streamsniping is impossible to prove outside of a literal confession. In practice, streamers have tools they can use to avoid snipers, starting by not turning their names into billboards.
Yeah, and I think one part of the issue not to be able to prove someone stream sniped is that DbD does not have a playback mechanic (something like the cinema mode in some shooters) to watch every perspective playing. And also the mods won't have the time anyway I guess.
-
Hitboxes are broken, but not only for survivors but for killers aswell. For example getting pallet stunned miles away, hitting the window frame while a survivor is still (medium) vaulting it etc etc
