As far as I know you can basically stream snipe the living ######### out of every streamer and the devs won't do anything about that.
No clue why, and I'm not sure how other games handle stream sniping but I'm pretty sure if a player admits he stream sniped he will get banned in other big games.

And Legion mains put on the pikachu face after survivors DC lol

Some people still rate her non-toptier. Its all subjective ofc, but Huntress is slowly taking that #2 spot on my tier list, since she is the best killer against good survivors (apart from nurse).
I absolutly don't see how you rate her so high. She's good, don't get me wrong. But she's to heavily map depended, hitboxes on tiles can be broken af so even on low objects you have to bruteforce the pallet. She's better than hag imo, but she will never surpass the top 3 (nurse spirit billy) till the devs adjust the maps

Just imagine for a moment what would happen if the Survivors in the highest rank possible were actually good. Crazy!
If you lack the fantasy, let me tell you what would happen: People would realize how incredibly broken the balance in this game is. They would realize that the "crutch" perks of Killers all rely on the incompetence of Survivors and that those perks are effectively useless in high rank, against skilled Survivors.
Ruin, BBQ & Chili, Spirit Fury & Enduring, NOED to name a few.
That's reality. Most Killer perks rely on the incompetence of Survivors, they don't reward Killers for good plays but instead punish Survivors for bad plays. As a result, they allow Killers to snowball quickly against potatoes but make next to no difference against Survivors that make no mistakes.
Now the Survivor perks are designed completly differently, they mostly allow Survivors to make up for mistakes and avoid punishment: DS, DH, SC, Deliverance, Unbreakable, ...
This leads to a massive balance issue in high rank: Killer perks become less and less effective the better your opponents are. They make no mistakes, therefore won't give you advantages. Survivor perks, however, become more and more powerful the better the Survivors are because they can nullify most if not all of of their mistakes with help of those perks.
It's really simple. Give bad Survivors 4 perks that allow them to nullify a mistake. If they make 20 mistakes, they'll only be able to nullify 20% of their mistake. Those perks won't really do a big difference for bad survivors.
Give good Survivors 4 perks that allow them to nullify a mistake. If they make only 4 mistakes because they're good, they'll be able to nullify all of those mistakes. Those perks will make a huge difference, allowing them to get away with no punishment at all.
Every good Dead By Daylight player will realize that at one point. It's the main reason why:
low skill Killers >> low skill Survivors
but
high skill Survivors >> high skill Killers
...and it's the reason why low skill Survivors think that Killers are OP while high skill Survivors recognize that they're way stronger than they should be.
That's not 100% true,
The perks you mentioned (Ruin, BBQ & Chili, Spirit Fury & Enduring, NOED) have still a passive (ofc weaker) effect.
Ruin: hitting great will give no progression, unless they wasting time destroying it
BBQ: wastes a little bit of the time to go into lockers or hide behind gens
Spirit fury: survivors drop pallets earlier -> less loops -> less time waste for the killer
Enduring: less time waste, no matter if they drop early or stun you
Noed: Survivors waste time cleansing
But I see where you coming from, the passive effect isn't that good
-
I really hate swamp map on both sides, it's disgusting
-
And to OP: yes I agree, the devs designed some maps which are working great or absolutly bad with certain killers: Lery's for example as Billy. So yeah, a Killer should be able to exclude one map

Killers can use Map Offerings. And why should only Killers be able to remove a Map? Why not Survivors also? I am pretty sure that most of Survivors would like to vote before the Match that "The Game" will not come up.
It's 1 vs 4 potentional offerings, in theory a killer can never win to chose his preferred map

If you are very good as Huntress you can down 4000 hours good survivors really fast.
There are limitations due to some maps. High walls and gg, you have to bruteforce the pallets. And bruteforcing pallets with 110% ms is painful

Delicious Pie: You brought a delicious pie with you in the trial, for some reason. You can either eat it or throw it at the killer.
Throwing it at the killer stuns them for 5 seconds. They get pretty upset with you, so your aura is revealed to them for the rest of the trial. Darn.
Eating the pie gives you a sugar rush. Your speed gets boosted to 150% for 3 seconds and you gain a permanent 5% boost to your movement speed overall. However, you just ate an entire pie, so you now have diabetes and will die instantly in 3 minutes.
Damn that's honestly a really creative (and on first look balanced) item, I like it :)

I honestly don't know why killers play like this either.
But I have hope that the devs will punish this behaviour sooner or later. If I am to believe Morf_UK, amazing things are on the way for DBD. I hope this falls under that. ^^
What exactly did morph say? Any clip or video about that?

There was a tweet of a fog whisperer and M. Cote about haddonfield recently

People are already having issue getting 60+ fps with decent hardware, you would probably need a (or multiple) NASA machine(s) to run dbd in 4k and such beautiful details lol.

Yeah the german version makes me wonder if they just picked a few canadian people from the street that had a german dictionary around. No, they're actually German.
The thing to keep in mind is that translators are often not given context, just a list of strings. That's why a lot of time it just seems a little off. You can't just translate 1:1 most of the time, and without context, some of the finer details get lost.
@Peanits Yeah that's true, maybe it is better if the devs are picking people from the community helping to translate that better. I can offer my help, my German -> English translation isn't the best but my English -> German translation skills are pretty good (if I can say that by myself).
And I wouldn't even want like 1k $ or so, I would already appreciate some extra BP or cosmetic for my work.
-
This is not even a meme. I am seriously appreciative that the devs went against the idea of having one. For both sides that surely is benefical.
That's why smart developers also include a "mute all" functionality, everyone knows how annoying the voice of randoms can br

I feel this way about legacy. I mean I get that people enjoy it for the bragging rights but it just looks like the characters have golden scabs all over their face. Reminds me of that simpsons episode where homer and bart fake leprosy.
Legacy is a different topic, u never had to pay a single dollar for it and it's something COMPLETELY different, not a single cosmetic is like that (maybe hallowed blight to a certain extend).
-
Please no full indoor maps anymore, they are usually #########.
-
Since the pick up buff 70% of toxic survivors who used it for FL saves are now only bringing a flashlight so they can BM and annoy the killer with the clicking. Do you honestly think they care about more consumption? They don't use it for something else and usually survivors who click all game still have around 70% battery left lol
-
Who the ######### cares about a damn recoloured cosmetic? Wooow, it's gold. And? Imo only idiots pay 10+$ for that cosmetic, absolutly nothing special.
I'm always suprised how much money people are burning for digital cosmetics. Insanity.
-
I can see why people use whispers, but against some really stealthy survivors it's going to waste a lot of time trying to find them. Whispers has basically 2 benefits: knowing where a survivors NOT is and finding the last survivors. That's it. I replaced whispers with discordance, much more useful for me.
-
To fix this issue it needs 2 steps do be done by the devs:
1. Closing the gap between solo and swf as much as possible WITHOUT just adding voice communication for solos (yes I'm fully aware that they will never be the same without voice communication, but that's not the goal, the goal is to close it as much as possible cuz currently the gap is huge af)
2. Changes to the ranking system so boosted animals won't be at high ranks. One thing needed is to make pipping harder, the other thing I thought about is to separate the rank of swf and solo. So as survivor you have 2 different ranks, one for solo and one for SWF. With that, boosted swf survivors won't destroy the balance in solo Q.

Pig is really good if you use her abilities properly. Space out those RBT's (don't just put them on every time you catch someone, be tactical with it), use her stealth to get closer to survivors in the right structures (ie. buildings, jungle gyms, etc), and use ambush as an anti-looping tactic on semi-safe or unsafe pallets. She's also short which gives you more chance to mind game some pallets/windows (where tall killers like Trapper can still be seen).
Build also makes a huge difference, and that goes for all killers. On Pig I run Whispers because with her stealth it helps you find survivors super easy. Most of the time they just kind of walk right out in front of you. Blood Warden is also very good for her because you can guarantee a proc if you save a trap for end game. My last 2 are Ruin (just as something even more to do with gens and traps) and Nurse's (which pairs well with Whispers/stealth).
And you need to NOT TUNNEL THE GUY WITH THE TRAP! Too many Pigs do this and it costs them the game. Leave the guy with the trap alone, especially if it's active. They have to do boxes, and they won't be doing gens, so you need to use that time to find others. I can often get 1 on a hook with 2 active traps in play. If I find that last dude I win, because the trap guys aren't going to make a save unless they are close to the hook. You should also pick a box, one that's in a good spot to defend, and just not let people finish on that box. I get a lot of trap kills because I just chase the dude off the box to another part of the map and leave them for someone else. Eventually it turns out that's the box they need and then they die.
Probably the biggest part to being a good Pig is knowing when and when not to be stealth. A lot of Pigs overdo the stealth stuff and try to be all sneaky when survivors clearly know where they are. If you see that a survivor sees you, just stand up and chase them. You're wasting time in stealth at that point. This is another reason why I like Whispers for her, because when it's not lit you know no one is around so you can enter stealth and actually use it. When it procs, then someone is nearby. If it's in a building or some structure, you can be mostly sure you aren't seen. But if it's in corn or out in the open chances are someone see you and is actively avoiding you. It can feel like you are being sneaky but trust you are not.
Relax, I wasn't asking how to play pig lmao I know all of that but thanks anyway for those who didn't know

@HavelmomDaS1 Oh I know what that is I just didn't know it had a name. That's cool and all but it doesnt change the fact survivors can move faster than you can move the camera.
Are you on console?

@Apoch said:
I never use it because it's a one off ability and there are far better perks that help me not get caught in the first place that can be used continually throughout the match.
I do feel a little sorry for the people who relied on it but also happy for them too because ironically this DS nerf Killers wanted SO badly with all their complaining have just ended up shooting themselves in the foot. This DS nerf will inevitably end up helping these very same Survivors to become exponentially better than they ever where when they relied on DS for that one off, one shot hook escape.
DbD is a low skilled game, and it's easy to each the skilled limit, especially as survivor. Killers were mainly complaining about DS because good survivors used it. And those usually won't become much better, they will just be less cocky and toxic cuz they know they don't have the crutch perk anymore
-
@KingB said:
@HavelmomDaS1 No, explain it to me.
It basically makes loops really dangerous against billy, u charge up way before you do a turn and curve around a tile to catch a survivor while he loops you.
I will try to link a clip of that later so you understand better
-
@KingB said:
Definitely hillbilly. (I'm on console) He has the best map pressure, but that doesnt matter much because he has nothing to counter loops. The instadown is easily dodged. Even at 100% sensitivity the survivors can move faster than the camera.
Do you know what technique called "curving" is?
-
I'm all for serious (!) emotes for survivors for example, to give solos some sort of possibility to coordinate.
But emotes just for fun... I dont think they will fit the dbd environment, it's to childish you know what I mean? Maybe a thing in a separate casual mode. Also it reminds me of fortnite, and just thinking about that community makes me vomit.

Aside from not everyone speaking the same language, it is 100% on the survivors for not speaking. It is their choice not to do so, and therefore the consequences are on them to deal with.
The matchmaking is currently broken, u can't tell that people should stare at the lobby screen and waste time instead of alt tabbing to do something else. Whatever.

I play solo exclusively. I just counter NOED in my own way, without breaking the totems. I call it "stealth".
That's fine tho, I was just referring to your point about chatting with randoms in the pre game. It's just dead, noone talks
(I edited my post a bit and added some stuff, it's not only the fault of the survivors when noone talks)

D-STRIKE? Most of the time none, cuz I ignore them. It only F's me over when I ONLY find the obsession all time and noone else.

Pre-game chat to coordinate. Small Game to find totems. Break the totems to prevent NOED. You've no excuse, Small Game isn't even a teachable.
Damn, you don't play that much solo do you? Or at least you never tried chatting in the pre match lobby. 9/10 It's completely quite, noone says anything. Sometimes a "gl have fun" or a "ok" of one single mate of you tell them that you have adrenalin.
Also, not everyone speaks English and furthermore the lobby times are so long, it's a waste of time to chill in game and wait to chat in that 60 second time frame, usually everyone alt tabs to YouTub or whatever till the map loaded.
Solo communication is dead man

I don't know. I feel like Billy is probably the most balanced killer we have. If you want to get rid of a Balanced killers OP add on then you also have to think about it the other way around and recognize that survivors also have OP add ons.
and the on top of that there's SWF which is a whole other situation.
What "OP" addons of billy is everyone talking about? Tuning guide or what? I think his addons are all balanced. In fact, some of his addons are (imo) trash because they bring some huge downsides with them and I never really got a use out of it against good survivors.

Most balanced killer in the game. Literally outshines every killer in the game aside from nurse. If you think it's feasible for the devs to buff every other killer who are fundamentally are going to be weaker than billy then I have bad news for you.
What are you talking about? Why are you attacking a strawman, I haven't said anything about the other killers, I just established that billy is balanced and sweaty swf groups still have the upper hand.

I don't know what the solution is. But he is boring AF to play against. Instadown, hook, bbq and sprint, instadown, sprint back to the guy who was hooked first. Yawn.
I don't know what the answer is. I get why killers don't want him nerfed. But man is he boring to go up against.
I have the most fun versing billy's, most fun and fair killer to verse, and I know he's high tier so I do my best to buy as much time as possible but use as less pallets as possible.
But by that logic, "yawn is it boring to verse survivors, they do gens and escape. YAWN, so boring, yaaaaaawn"

Pretending that Noed is strong
Noed can be a game changer against genrushers, and you don't have to be good. So yeah, it's strong in every hand, unless the survivors decide to cleanse all totems. But then it's not a real genrush anymore

I watched him a bit he s trash at killer
He's trash? Calm down bud, he plays really optimal and does just a few mistakes. He sometimes turns a 4 men escape into a 3-4k at the end against sweaty survivors (without NOED, just patience, reading the greed and smart plays).
Also, he is the only streamer I know who plays every killer and survivor in rotation. He basically plays each killer 10 minutes every 2 days. Are you doing the same? Probably not, you probably main 1 or 2, maybe 3 killers and invest tons of time into it. Tru3 has only 10 minutes. Every 2 damn days. And he has to warm up within these 10 minutes.
So better you keep quite before talking big if you only watched some games.
(Btw I want to mention he is EU player and from my experience EU has the most sweaty swf groups)
-
Billy is the most balanced killer in the game. And if you put the most tryhard and sweaty swf survivors in a lobby with the most tryhard and sweaty billy: 1k-2k max, because survivors still rule this game and if they decide to rush the living ######### out of you they will do it and they will succeed. No matter what. Period.
-
I completely stopped using selfcare, adrenalin and dead hard equipped and unless it's a damn good nurse you should be able to run a killer for at least 60 second while beeing injured. Enough time for your teammates (unless the urban evade at the corner of the map).
