Dont be showing me some smurf account and cry about match making. Rank 17 with all those tier 3 teachables, c'mon man!
I know...I know...haven't played in awhile. Well if that was true, and matchmaking worked as intended, your friend would have been the op one to baby survivors.

Why are you demonizing them like it's their fault? They didn't choose to queue up against you. Weirdo.
that's their friend. you know that, right? literally the first line of the post is "My friend sent me this".

But you failed to factor in wins up time which is free distance , los breakers which require a guess and a wrong prediction or a bugged blink gives massive distance to survivor..your into is reliant on nurse having no cd but that's the point..the cd is free gen time, and this cd is every time she moves around the map too so start adding up the free time she gives and it adds up very very fast..your scenario relies on the perfect setup for nurse which never happens..ever..on paper she should be strong but anyone that mained her knows her on paper description is misleading..doesnt matter how powerful the ability is if it takes way too long to imminent it in a game where time is against you..plus slowdown perks are being targeted by the devs so games will only feel faster and faster as a result..nurse gets mediocre results for a high skill floor..so why play her over better, more fun killers? There is no reason to..that's why she is so rare and loses far more than she wins now
Okay so.
LOS breakers mean that the survivors make less distance as they're not running in a straight line. Therefore you need to use less time charging up a blink to make it to them, and so you get back in the chase faster. My information is not reliant on the nurse having no cooldown, I specified that her cooldown was 6 seconds, and her fatigue after double blinking into a lunge was 3, so she could immidiately one blink again. To make up the 20m of distance. And down the survivor.
She also has mobility in her blink. Yeah, it's hardly amazing mobility, but it's mobility none the less. My scenario doesn't rely on "the perfect setup", it required what a lot of people do against her now. Run in a straight line. You make up the distance and they go down. Even if they don't, as I said they make less distance, meaning you need to use less of your time charging up, meaning you down them faster.
Slowdown perks being targeted? Cool, that's what slugging is for and that's not what this discussion is about. You should know this, you made it!
Her results are sub-par? I'm pretty sure I remember the devs saying that her killrate when she was first changed was awful, yeah, and then it started climbing as people got used to it, and those who wanted to try out her rework stopped playing her to go back to whatever killer they were playing before. I definitely remember Peanits saying something about this before.
Anyway, you told me to prove she was still top tier. There are your numbers to prove it.
Why play her? Excellent question, and I ain't your man to ask because I don't. I physically can't because I get such a massive headache trying to. That's just a physical limitation I have, which means I can never play her properly. No blink nurse though, that's where I shine!
Also, my guy, English probably isn't your first language but please, paragraphs, I beg of you. Sequence your writing, make it easier to read and understand. And the elipses, the "...", no need to spam them as often as you do. It makes your writing look disjointed and unorganised, and less people are likely to discuss things with you.

Prove nurse is top tier because she isnt..that's the sheep response..
Here goes.
The nurse can blink up to 32 meters in any one direction before suffering a cooldown of 6 seconds. The 32m are split into two; 20m and 12m. While blinking the nurse moves at 13.3m/s, or 333% speed. This allows her to travel distance faster than any killer in the game. The 6 second cooldown is not affected by her fatigue. This means that blinking twice, then lunging, grants a total fatigue of 3 seconds (2 seconds base, +0.5 for every chain blink, +0.5 for an attack during the chain blink window). Therefore, she can immidiately perform another 20m blink again as soon as her cooldown in finished.
A survivor moves at 4m/s, or 100% speed. If they are hit, they recieve a 50% boost, taking them up to 6m/s for 2 seconds. Therefore once hit survivors move 12m in 2 seconds, and slow down to move another 4 in another second, allowing them to traverse a grand total of 16m. Survivors will then move another 4m in the next second, taking them up to 20m away from the nurse provided she remains stationary. How long is the maximum range of a blink? Oh look, 20m. A good nurse (not me, I'm really bad at her) will be able to blink those 20m in that second and get another down, or wait 3 seconds for her second blink to come back, making the survivor (look at that) 32m away from her. How far does she travel with 2 blinks? Bingo! It's 32m!
And that's with them running in a completely straight line while the nurse remains stationary.
Objectively, if you can play her, the nurse is still the best killer in the game, regardless of her cooldown being there or not. In practice, she may not be the best, but she is still very strong. Except her add-ons. Change the add-ons again.

I mean, I don't like playing against him, but not because it's difficult, just because it's boring. WIth most killers you run to a loop and play some mindgames with some lovely coutner rotation, pallet is thrown and continue. With clown it's just run to a loop, pallet is thrown and continue. The most fun part is removed and survivors just do gens.
-
I agree completely. Healthcare professionals working long shifts with short breaks, a lot of them for low pay, deserve as much thank yous as we can give them for working so hard during the pandemic. I'm not one, but one of my friends' mother works in a maternity ward and it's been absolute hell for her.
I hope the devs listen to this because in my opinion it's a fabulous idea.
I hope you're staying safe out there. Sending a hug from 2m away.

When I'm queueing with a grey rank friend who just got the game we mostly get better killers and he complains about the game being unbeatable :P yeah this ranking system seems twisted
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1181381#Comment_1181381
1) The urban evasion looked quite suspicious, that's why I mentioned it. It looked to me like 3 of them would just hide all the time while the r4 would show himself and loop the killer.
2) He hasn't played Killer for a while, thus the r17, but I wasn't complaining for him, just in general, what is this matchmaking, that was my point.
And actually, let me correct you there, Ruin is in the Shrine right now.
3) Impressive number juggling and, I appreciate it, but firstly, don't forget there is WGLF and survivor play, too. You don't have to play killer to farm BP.
The point of this thread wasn't to complain how unfair THIS setup is and what "OP" items/addons the dudes used but rather to ask about ranking system - if there are any announced changes and what you guys think about it.
And I wanted to know your oppinion on the 3 urban evaders. This does look like a setup with 4 SWF doing the strategy 3 immersed + 1 neon-Nea. Against less experienced killers I could see this strategy working and being quite frustrating for the killer.
Okay fair enough about the urban evasion, I see your point. I just usually see people highlighting meta perks they hate and assumed something different, I'm sorry. Same with ruin being on the shrine rn, that was my bad for not checking.
Him not playing in a while is what I thought would be the case. Yeah, it sucks ngl, but maybe the game has started looking at hours played alongside your rank, or the highest rank you've ever been, and matching from there with the devs testing and not telling? That's my best guess. Matchmaking is pretty scuffed right now.
And hey, thanks for the compliment. School's out so I have to keep myself busy somehow, and I had a morning to spare. Admittedly yeah, bbq would work to cut the required matches in half (down to only 172.75, rounding up to 173, give or take around 50. And yeah survivors can get BP too, but usually they get significantly less than a killer player and WGLF rarely reaches 4 stacks. Because I was trying to have a best case scario to make numbers easy, I decided to not include survivor (and because it makes my life easier lmao).
I'm not entirely sure, if these guys were a swf, that they knew what they were doing, considering they had a sabo toolbox with repair addons and a repair toolbox with sabo addons, but the triple immersion one aggro could be what they were going for (except you'd think the aggro guy would have chase perks, not prove thyself). They might have been good, but to me it looks like a poor imitation.
And as for the ranking system (as I'm sure other people have pointed out), the devs are working on a new MMR matchmaking system. I'll try and find a link to the page they discussed it on and post it here for you.
EDIT: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/124795/
Here is their update on the MMR system, have fun.
-
So these past few games I think everybody has had noed. Jokes on them I'm an inner strength gamer. They've camped quite a bit, but no moris yet. The surprising part is the teammates have been pretty good.
-
From this post alone you're far too much of a positive person to go down at this stage. You'll be absolutely fine and come back fighting fit, I'm sure of it. Go have that surgery and come back ready to bully some killers/survivors with newfound vigor.
I'm rooting for you, mate. Take the world.
-
First, sabo toolbox with repair addons, what an absolute gamer.
Second, my guy if you're complaining about urban evasion then I really don't know what to say anymore.
Three of em have self care, so they'd spend most of their time helping because oni.
Repair toolbox being used for sabo, this team gets better and better.
And how long has your friend been playing? They'd have had to get:
-Level 40 teachable from nurse (40 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from Plague (35 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from hag (35 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from Leatherface (35 webs)
Not including shrine because none of these perks have been there recently, and a rank 17 killer should be fairly new to the game.
So that's a total of 145 webs just to get the perks. They're all tier 3, and there's four of them, so that's 12 more webs at best case scenario, but probably more because rng.
So 145 + 12 = 157 webs to make it through to get all these perks.
A level 30 bloodweb seems to be the most middle ground in terms of nodes (imo). I'm gonna use a level 31 Web because that's the closest I have, and I'll centre my calculations around that (using my own game as a basis for that). There are two perks, 13 nodes in total. Only one perk can be taken, and after taking one perk the rest vanish. With 6 commons, 2 uncommon, 2 rares, 1 ultra rare, and the 2 perks, that would be a total cost of 43000 not including the perks. For the 12 webs on the oni, that would be (43000 * 12) + (4000 + 5000 + 6000) + (5000 + 6000 + 6000) + (5000 + 6000 + 6000) + (4000 + 5000 + 6000) which are the cost of the perks. This gives us 516000 + (15000 + 17000 + 17000 + 15000), leading to a grand total of 580000 bloodpoints for the one killer.
For the teachables let's be lenient and say all were uncommon (4k) except the teachables themselves. That is:
(43000 * 40) + (43000 * 35) + (43000 * 35) + (43000 * 35) + (5000 * 9) + (4000 * 157).
1720000 + 1505000 + 1505000 + 1505000 + 45000 + 628000
6908000. That's how many bloodpoints, on a good day, your friend would need to save.
Not including the bloodhunt, killers gain roughly 20k points per match.
6908000/20000 = 345.5, rounding up to 346.
Thats how many matches, on average, your friend would need to play with the current state of dbd's grind, give or take 100 because lots of averages were used.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how have they managed to get all those perks if they're brand spanking new to the game?
What's the point of me doing this? They might not be AS new as an average rank 17, particularly with those perks.
(would like to clarify I did all of these before any edits were made made to the opening statement)

You're very welcome! Thank you for playing her!
I play on the PS4 - I do not know how to check which server. But if you played against me you certainly hooked me! 🤣
So basically your server is just where you live. Me, for example, I live in England, and the two servers we have here are in London and Germany, so I call myself EU standing for Europe. But if you live on the west/east coast of America, it'd be west/east NA, for example.
-
I think it'd honestly be better if instead of doubling the range, it let's you use other survivor's aura perks if you're close enough to them. For example you have open handed and someone you're on a gen with has better together, suddenly you get the better together bonus too (if someone is downed see the aura of all survivors). Or it'd work for empathy, aftercare, bond, kindred, dark sense, maps, the list goes on. It'd have some cool interactions and would be a great perk imo. Obviously there'd be an exception for mettle of man, that'd be a bit strong. Maybe OoO too.
Also could work in reverse to make it a better solo perk, not something for swf. If you have kindred and open handed, then people near you get the kindred info too.
-
Excuse me good sir but I think you'll find Tweety here has just as much right to be in the Entity's realm as you do. I could say the same about you; you're always screaming in a trial as you're on that hook.

Doing God's work out here lmao
-
I absolutely love you already from the sheer wholesome energy you radiate from this post alone, but I do have one slight grudge.
Sally was married then her husband (Andrew) died. Ms Smithson now.
-
Like people have already said just getting a gg back can make your day.
My personal favourites would have to be with mettle of man. One time I was using it trying to get it to proc. Comes to endgame and I've had it activate once, I'm the last survivor alive. This hag just let's me open the gate and escape; says she was so impressed I'd got it to work she just let me go.
A second was against a huntress on haddonfield. She wasn't doing all too great and I wasn't farming mom stacks; infact me and my swf buddies were running random perks trying to escape. So she's got one person on hook and I've got my 2 stacks of mom so far, take a hit near the hook, unhook them, and then mom activates. She gives up and let's us go.
In endgame chat she also said she was impressed I'd managed to use mettle.
(these were after it was nerfed to needing protection hits).
-
Surge should apply the 8% bonus additively, not take priority. Therefore it'd work well with PGTW (28% on all gens).
Lightborne should grant immunity to firecracker blinds too.
Deva Vu reveals the aura to all generators you're seeing to anyone within a certain range of you.
Kindred grants the buff to all survivors whilst someone else is on the hook.
Up the Ante, as well as increasing luck, increases movement speed after being unhooked/unhooking yourself.
Aftercare doesn't lose the buff when you're hooked.
Second Wind should work with For The People.
Autodidact should increase the chances of getting a skillchecks whilst healing.
Streetwise ensures you can't drop your items without replacing it (wither with the effect of a perk or by yourself).
-
Why do killers think you need to earn an escape? If I bs my way to the gate with a bt hit into ds stun into dead hard I earned that just as much as if I skillfully evaded the killer in endgame and escaped when he wasn't looking. You got punished for not applying enough pressure and letting the match end. Deal with it.
It's a two way street, and if I'm being honest there's absolutely nobody I know who would say that you didn't earn that kill. Who on earth are you talking to cause I'd love to meet them.
-
@PyroGL said:
Does your idea hinge on all 5 gens being completed before the key can open gates?
I'd assume it does. If not then they're worse than current keys.
Yeah op, I really like your idea here. I hope the devs pay attention (solo survivor is really fun), but unfortunately I don't think they'll change the hatch unlocking functionality of keys because of the archive challenges.
-
Okay and? You're ruining the game for other people whilst simultaneously ruining your own potential for growth in the game. Play how you want, just don't expect everyone to be happy about it
-
Please send me your killers.
-
Freddy because fire up.
?gg nerf fire up.
In all seriousness tho I'd have to say nurses perks work well on everyone, but if we're going for true adept clown. His aren't too bad. PGTW saves time on gens, cholorophobia or however it's spelt is there but can help if you're returning to a hook and they're desperately trying to finish a heal, and bamboozle shuts down very strong loops quickly.
-
So are killer mains. What's your point?
In fact, no, let's be more in depth here.
Some survivor mains are massive hypocrites, some see the large imbalance of power and want the devs to change things. Some survivor mains dc, some stick out to the end when there's no hope. Some hate the spirit, some love the spirit. Some like gens, some like chases, some like immersion, some like head on, some like meta perks, some hate ds, most love ds. Saying all survivor mains do one thing is a massive generalisation to an entire crowd, and honestly is just wrong. I know so many survivor mains who really aren't genrushers. I know this because I'm in solo queue and oh my god can they not do gens. On the flip side I know people who gen rush, people who insta save, people who do any sort of things. People have differences my guy.
Bit like killer mains. Some camp, some don't, some tunnel, some don't, some use boring builds (full slugging nurse im talking about you), some use fun builds (basically anything else). Some play bubba, or Billy, or huntress, freddy, spirit. Some complain on the forums after having a bad game, some complain on steam, some don't complain and let it all boil up inside until it explodes out one day. Some love ebony moris, some hate them. Again, there are massive differences between people, and generalising them all under a role they play is the least accurate way to go about this.
And yeah, if you're using a full slugging nurse build, chances are you are ruining the BP event. Not for them, for everyone involved, even you. You get no BP from games like that.
-
Honestly nah I find him really fun to play. Against probably not, since my style of play encourages me to find and stick to a gen lock (no i dont use ForeverFreddy™, thank god), but I try and make matches last and 3 hook everyone to ensure they have the most amount of fun.
Against, I can't really say. Most freddy I face use ForeverFreddy™, or an ebony mori, or both, so... Hardly engaging builds.
-
I'm sorry but honestly I have to disagree here. In terms of practical use it's definitely sprint burst and dead hard as s tier. Adrenaline is a tier at most, with balanced being next. Then lithe, then head on. Lithe is perhaps the worst, most impractical exhaustion perk, because most of the time you'll use it on a window, and if you're at a window and know what you're doing you don't need the movement Speed because that's what usually takes you to the next loop.
In terms on fun, though, head on is S, with all the rest being C.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk,
-A dedicated HeadOnGamer™
Edit: Oh also you spelt "you're" wrong in the title.
-
Hey im absolutely awful at this game but if you're in the same region and on the same platform as me (pc, EU), and if three other people wanna join me (on voice comms, naturally, because if killers are unbeatable we should all use those), without using keys or moris, then I'd be down. Don't even want the money, I just want a game op.
Now to your original point, they seems strong now but they're not. This game is the most balanced it has been but often if you face a team of good survivors without a mori you need to hope they mess up.
At the start when you're learning survivor, my advice is to go watch streamers who play survivor, ardetha plays both, Aaron, jrm, otzdava, maybe even true. Learn to play from watching these guys and then put it into practice. You learn the basics of looping and mindgames, of which structures are safe and how to run them, which pallets are good and which are bad.
Plus you learn to play survivor through playing killer. Give that a shot. They're not as op as you think, op.
Good luck, and I'll see you out there in the fog.
(in all seriousness if anyone wants to join me on ops challenge as long as he's the right region and platform and you are too ill happily oblige, ain't got nothing else to do.)
-
Okay so I don't main either side, pretty unbiased view from me here then.
Simple answer: no.
Long answer: No, that sounds like a terrible idea. Killers without mobility are already scuffed at 4.6 or 4.4, we don't need to make it worse for them. We don't want loops extended (which survivors moving at 4.2 would do), we want shorter mindgamable ones where skill is actually demonstrated. Killers are already not that much faster lmao I don't see why we should decrease their speed?
Plus what about the 110% (4.4) killers? What would we do for them? Should they just be the same speed at survivors? What about nurse? How would her speed work out.
Overall, bad idea, wouldn't recommend.
Edit: fixed numbers where I said 4.4 killers actually moved at 4.2
-
Idk personally I like it. Find someone you're good at and like playing, and stick with them to learn them inside out.
For example im learning new things to do as doc whenever I play him. Wraith is play less but I still have fun with him. Freddy is straight forward but you have some really cool moments with him and his gen teleport.
If course gens would pop at the start, you're applying the least amount of pressure. However once you get your first hook things slow down significantly. What I like to do is spawn in and immidiately find a good place for a gen lock/three gen. Defend that place pretty well and you're guaranteed at least a 2k because they can't do the last one or two gens. I love the surveillance/surge combo here, and Pop really helps too.
Overall, find someone and learn em. You start having way more fun.
PC EU ranks vary from 5 to 1 each season depending on how much I play.

I was in no intention shaming nor demanding a ban, I just didn't think to censor them, I try to change pics but I don't know how, I'm new to forums tho
First find where you saved the pictures and edit them to scribble out the names; if you can't do it where they're saved try sending them to a phone and do it from there; gallery apps usually have built-in editing tools.
Next go back to here and edit your post. Remove the original and upload the new. Done.
Back to the topic though, I've seen this happen to Ardetha, a pretty well known dbd streamer. It's actually terrifying this can happen.

I know this isn't official but it says it in both the offering description and trivia so it's probably pretty spot on.
Anyway, here is the dbd wiki on the matter:
Therefore it stands to reason, since both places say "on death", that you'll lose your addons if you escape.
If you're that worried, use Ace In The Hole.

"without counter"
What is ironwill?
Hi welcome to stridor how can I help?
-
Yeah I've noticed this recently, killer queues are getting longer and survivor ones slightly shorter. Maybe more people are playing killer now? We can always hope so.
Crossplay would improve this if there were console people who wanted to play with pc people because it would definitely need an opt in/out mode like with windows store/steam currently.
-
Okay can we just appreciate for a second how wholesome this thread is compared to the usual? I love it.
Okay on topic now, I'd like to see something else implemented but I don't know what would work. Like mentioned before it'd either be very abusable or just like the old 3 man 4 gen games nobody liked. Personally if bhvr added in the husk option they were going for - they don't do anything but will struggle on hook and let survivors get healing points or rescue points whilst the killer gets hook and sacrifice points. Also shouldn't count towards hatch spawning cause otherwise killers could abuse that too.
Also bloodpoints in survival, please. We need more points here, bhvr, I beg.
-
My top most hated would probably be (in this order):
-Spirit
(Don't get me started on how much I detest this one killer)
-Michael
(You need to rely on your team to not feed him stalk. Solo survivor makes this very difficult)
-Clown
(I know he's weak but it just kinda takes the fun out of the game. No need to prepare yourself for mindgame just drop a pallet because you're slow)
My favourite ones (from most to lease favourite):
-Bubba
(I like him because it's basically easy loops if you know what you're doing but don't pay attention and he has an actual way to punish you being zoned)
-Billy
(Very close to bubba; I enjoy the challenge and if you mess up you get rewarded with a curved chainsaw whilst still having fun counterplay)
-Trapper
(It's very tense just running around hoping there aint a trap where you're about to step).
Honourable mention to pre-dedicated server huntress and non-ForeverFreddy™
-
So take Screenshots or a video recording and post it to the bug reports section on this here forum.
-
Object of obsession.
I main freddy and ofc when someone is asleep they always see you, so I've taken to using the blocks which trigger blindness whenever a trap is tripped just in case. Now whenever I see someone with the perk I just think, "Aw sweetie, if only you knew the mistake you made."
Pretty cute perk.
Also no mither without iron will. That's fun.
-
Honestly it'd be cool if we got a score event as survivor for recovering too, in survival naturally cause god knows we need more points there, and maybe even getting up by yourself (unbreakable, no mither).

What means "something"? Going worse? Package loss?
Btw is there any full description available on all status icons/hud? For example when you succeed your first skill check on a gen, there is some icon with 2 arrows/triangles showing up, but I think this is not doing or meaning anything. Can't remember if I ever saw that explained on any wiki.
Check the ingame tutorial section, those symbols are shown there.

But nah cause the survivor needs to spook the crow. If sfts worked with the gun you'd get price constantly and it's just be awful. Since patch 1.0.2 killers haven't activated the perk, don't see why they'd start now.

Beefcake David, Claudette, Kate, Feng, in that order.

I mean you'd want SFTS to.not be set off right? It's meant to tell you here a survivor is but then if you proc it it's useless?

"Can't loop this killer for 5 gens? What do you mean I have to drop a meta perk for iron will? DC immediately if I can't win"
I run iron will a lot of the time when not using my head on meme build- in fact recently I’ve taken to using it in my head on build. Issue is every spirit, without fail, uses stridor. It’s rediculously sad how many I face that use the perk which literally eliminates any form of counterplay whilst injured. If I hear you have stridor I’m not gonna dc, but I sure as hell won’t last long on that hook. I’d rather play a game where both sides have some fun chases, thanks.
