Predator could be quite interesting if it was something like "Your frustration in losing prey heightens your senses. When you lose a survivor in a chase, their aura is revealed for 1/2/3 seconds".
Bloodhound we gotta keep with the blood theme obviously. "Blood is more visible on the ground. Once a survivor is healed form healthy, they continue to bleed for 30/45/60 seconds" or something.
Tinkerer used to be godly then it was changed. Trying to keep with this idea, I'd say buff it to 50% gen progress and reduce the undetectable. Make it a lot more use able on killers that aren't freddy or Billy.
Unnerving. I like the concept of this perk and I'd say it could be buffer similar to tinkerer. "Skillcheck success zones are reduced by 50/60/70% while in the killers terror radius. Removes the ability to hit great skillchecks." Gearhead synergy is that you? Also slows the game slightly because no more greats on gens.

I used to be all over that bearded head, but the P3 face really grew on me. I prefer his hair on it too. But no David is a bad David. Let’s agree on that. 😉
We can definitely agree on that.

I hate that bug too! It’s actually the reason I no longer use his shirtless cosmetic anymore. Which is obviously a travesty.
Oh I mean, I can't not use it, it's quite funny to see. Plus I use his older cosmetics for the legs so it doesn't really affect me that much (his blue day of the dead trousers are 👌👌)

I wholeheartedly agree about David here. Give my man some (very tight) shorts here.
also they didn't fix the shirtless skin yet so you can literally see through his stomach it's weird.

oh it was an idea. i was thinking it might be an idea, but i dont have my head wrapped 100% around survivor perks, so i didnt know if you were mentioning a buff from an already made perk.
well in that case i disagree like.. 150%.
The game was designed and balanced around the idea of a killer vs 4 solo survivors that had to play together without actually knowing or talking to each other. hence why there are perks showing one anothers position.
so no, Solo survivors dont need a buff. SWFs on the other hand, need to be removed.
No, mate, he meant buffing the PERK "Sole Survivor" from Laurie Strode- the one you don't see because it's broken but in a whole different way than ds or ooo.

Gotta stop with this Freddy nonsense. No way is Freddy better than doctor. Freddys snares are easyily avoidable. While freddy can stop a loop from being done twice, doctor can shut it down the first time. And if the survivor isn't asleep then Freddy has nothing to help him quickly end the chase. While Freddy has the teleportation, it can only be done after a long cooldown and you have to know which gen survivors are at for it to really be useful which requires information perks like bbq or discordance.
At most one could argue they are on the same par but to say Freddy is better than doctor... I dont see it.
By far freddy is stronger.
Firstly he has mobility. Doctor doesn't. Mobility is the best thing a killer can have, and freddy has plenty whilst doc has... 4.6 m/s movement speed? So does freddy?
Freddy has slowdown with addons. Doc loses all madness effects when they snap out of it. Freddys add-ons effect so many parts of his kit. Doctor only changes madness afflictions.
Freddy can use his snares/pallets for tracking and for antiloop. Doc has this but no movement ability.
Freddy is just better. In every way.
Source: Freddy and doc main.
-
Decrease map size and kill God loops (asylum) for sure. As we've seen in case of OldLegion™ and the MoonwalkingDisaster™, chase mechanics are very abusable. Just have a permanent speed boost? No thanks, change the maps.

As others have said, it's been mentioned a lot before and the concensus from the community seems to be a yes, we want it.

There are also other Perks besides BBQ that increase you Bloodpoints. Also there are Bloodpoint events. In total you can earn more than 300k Bloodpoints in one match. (With the right perks, some addons, party snares or even the annivisary cake, bloodpoint event..)
The thing with those perks is they're not added post-trial like bbq is, they just help you reach the 8k category cap.
-
Playing by yourself as killer, with no other offerings from survivor, and using offerings only available currently, it is 96000 bloodpoints:
-32000 max in one trial
-4 stacks of tier 3 BBQ and Chili nets a further 32000 if you have the 32000
-Survivor Pudding OR Bloody Party Streamer will add another 32000 if you gained the 32000 in-game.
32000 + 32000 + 32000 is 96000. That is the most amount of bloodpoints you can achieve with no outside assistance.
-
Not quite. They'll adjust all the loops with the wall in mind, and by that they mean they'll add a wall in there. Shack wall, shortened immensely, no longer guarantees a fast vault, gives the window more mindgame potential. Gonna be added to all maps.
I don't see the problem here. Remove your tinfoil hat.

There are less charges, but repairing is quicker. The amount of time it saves overall is actually much less now, but there are some people who can't see past "faster repair speed" and assume it's a buff on that basis.
Ah yeah, my bad, forgot that buffing the repair speed for something that won't last 3 seconds is the apocalypse; cheers for reminding me.
-
Okay so please tell me. The commodious toolbox was nerfed from having 180 charges to 32. This is a decrease by 148 charges. That is 148 more seconds you cannot use it on a gen. How is this a buff?

Im lvl 4 survivor... I know how to play, so that don't factor.they maybe set speeds but IDK maybe with some of the perks from other killers effect him in a glitched out way to make him overly fast... All I know is that it was way excessive. I was literally running one of the jungle gyms through two windows. He hit me going through the first window, jumped the second window turned left and he was coming around the right. Had to run the long wall which was that long and cought up and downed me all withing 10 seconds......... Please tell me how that's not over powered??? Granted I've never had that much issue before, despite him being a fast killer as he is.
Sis please.
Perks from other killers would at most give him a 44% attack recovery rate, and then movement speel of +10% for a 125% speed. Okay, that could be what's happened here. Combine that with gas slowdown and yeah, it can be annoying.
But then here's the solution. Do gens.
He has now dedicated 2 perks to chasing someone and that person cannot be the obsession. He has now lost 2 perks for slowing down generators, which is his major, major fatal flaw. If you go down, take the hook time, come off, get healed, and do gens. Clown is very easy to play.
In a chase, find filler pallets, and drop them like they're hot. If a clown commits to you for a long time while you have a bunch of pallets to waste, then those gens are gonna f l y.
Maybe try playing as clown sometime, then you'll see how he isn't actually op at all. Same with doc.
And boy if you think doc is bad, let me tell you about freddy.

I guess you missunderstood that, Its just our own taste, I would personally do that because I want that it would fit to my Killer. You should be able to freely custimize the basement regardless which Killer you have. Same with the charm, you have a Trapper charm but you can use it on every Killer for example.
Oh no I was referring more to Rezblaze and everyone who followed. I preferred your original idea.
-
The only issue with this is the same as the issue with swf and OoO. They used to have hooks be customised based on the killer, not the map, but since survivors could easily know exactly which killer it was early on then they changed it to keep the surprise. If they knew immidiately it was a spirit, then some would just instantly dc, or verses a plague they'd know to double down on gens before she'd even found someone.
It's a cool idea, but I'd rather have the customisation be player specific not killer specific for this exact reason.
-
Yamaoaka, Red Forest, Backwater Swamp, Mount Ormond Resort, Coldwind Farm.
-
Fast and Furious:
After quickly exiting from a locker, move at 150% movement speed for 3 seconds. Causes exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Opportunities:
After stunning a killer with a pallet, move at 150% movement speed for 3 seconds. Causes exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Catch Me If You Can:
After stunning a killer with a pallet or locker, for the next three seconds your scratchmarks will appear in the opposite direction to the way you are running. Catch Me If You Can has a cooldown of 100/90/80 seconds.
(I like exhaustion perks if it wasn't obvious).

With old Freddy (before the rework) that did in fact take a lot methodical play, and a very cool head to keep focus on the long game and continually putting survivors to sleep.
A 25 minute game 4K game with only 1 gen repaired was indeed something worthy of bragging about.
No, not like old freddy; jesus christ if you 4ked with 1 gen gone as him vs rank 1s you need several medals and a Queens Scout Award. I mean Forever Freddy™ before the add ons were changed--Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Old ruin, and PGTW. If you ran that build and managed to lose more than 3 gens with his stupidly absurd base kit (not losing bloodlust when placing snares), then any survivor deserves to brag against you there.
This is coming from a freddy main, btw.
I was more talking about people who'd post pictures of them getting a 4k using Anal Beads/MDR spirit or Omegablink™ nurse. Threw in the Forever Freddy™ at the end for another more recent comparison.

I mean, hearing the massive thunderclap in the distance is a pretty big giveaway as to if its deactivated or not.
-
What do you mean by this?
It's not lit up until it either:
-Can be activated by being more than 24m from a hook
-Is activated by the exposed effect.
As far as I'm aware anyway. Its pretty clear to me.
-
It seems like a nice qol buff to it, but honestly it's purpose isn't to guarantee a 3 gen, it's to force survivors to come closer to you or wait out 2 minutes. Regardless of if the perk is make weaker because of an unlucky spawn or not, it still does its purpose.

I mean, maybe not in winter, but try it out in summer.

the thing is the killer probably had several rounds prior be bullied by players 10 ranks above him. Moris and camping is catharsis for what he experienced. Don't take it personally, but it does suck when that happens.
Yeah ikr! Same game 3 games in a row; playing solo, different people each time. He got a 3k while first-hook mori-ing each time. No items, on anyone for 2 of those games, 2 medkits and a flashlight in the first. If me holding M1 to do a gen on the other side of the map or stunning him with a pallet is enough for that or for a facecamp I have news for him.
I am well aware that it sucks, and just for once I’d love it if people could be reasonable and save their moris/camping for the toxic people, not the people who try and play nicely. Same goes for the other side; no need to tbag or click if I’m out here trying to leave the map to not camp people.

So, you are making a thread, mocking people who likely haven't been on the Forums in 6 months.
Anyway, I 4K'd 25 games in a row with Legion at Rank 1 a month or so ago. Does that mean I'm playing OP Killer with broken add-ons?
Lmao I didn't make the thread, I was responding to someone on this thread.
And no, it doesn't. Especially if it was recently; Legion needs all the add on help they can get. Old nurse and un-bugged spirit, though, didn't.

It was, and still is, pointless. Imagine bragging you only lost 1 gen with old forever freddy.

How do you think buffing solo to swf levels will help anything? SWF stomps all but the very very best killers. How is making every game stomp 99% of killers the right move? They need to bring swf down to solo.
Hence why I said "Adjust from there". There is no way of stopping people from using voice comms- I know that because I use it on a completely separate device and use a splitter for my headset. Therefore give solos the information swf have to even the playing field, and then buff every killer to all hell.
Is this perfect? No. Is it even possible to nerf swf down to solo whilst not just gutting solo to the point where its a guaranteed death sentence though? No.

Says we're the one paying the companies and then says the companies don't owe us in the same post. That wasn't well thought through.
The companies owe you what you paid for, the game of Dead by Daylight. The DLC of Dead by Daylight. Any other Information they give about this dlc or this game is not what you paid for, and therefore are not entitled to. Is it nice to have? Yes. If you don't like how a developer or companies handles this, don't support them. That's how capitalism works, you talk with your money.
Take pokemon sword and shield for example. They were the most controversial pokemon games ever. They are the fastest selling pokemon games ever. Consumers speak with their wallet.
-
"Do something against the swf, ban it or do something because it's really injustice in the games, also going back, the blows when you are a killer who should pass but which does not touch, the perk which bugdbd do something because the games as a killer is unplayable, removing communication between friends on PS4 is no longer possible, you have a very bad game, when you play survivor you are hit by the killer and when you play killer the survivor his buger you do not never touch it arranged thank you"
Is what this post looks like in full English, according to Google translate for anyone wondering.
Now to answer OP:
No. Removing swf kills the game. Plain and simple. What they need to do- and said they'd do but still haven't done- is instead buff solo to swf level and adjust from there.

Ill get banned for this comment but so be it. I find it increasingly frustrating that every single game developer in existence other than y'all can give their fans a set in stone release date for updates, dlc, ect...it's not fair that when people ask y'all a simple question like a date for a dlc release you can't even give them that. If you can't fix the game for us then the least y'all can do is give people a release date. Its absurd in this day in technology and in gaming that this practice of deflecting the fans is an acceptable thing for y'all to do.
And then when something comes up like it did for Halloween and literally breaks the game, what do they do? They promised the fans it'd be March 10th, but the game is quite literally unplayable. You saw the backlash from then, imagine that now after ruin, the devs might actually be witch hunted. Instead they have it remain anonymous so as to avoid these situations.
At the end of the day, companies and developers are there to make money. You, the consumer, give your money.
Companies are not your friend.
Grow up and stop being entitled.
-
I personally just prestiged up my main characters, and then grinded them till I had all perks, one after the other. For example, Claudette was first, then David, then Kate, then Feng as survivors, and I'm currently on feng rn. For killers it was Freddy then Wraith then Doctor. Still on doc.
P3 te characters you like first, and then play those to get the BP for the characters you dislike.

Few survivors may say gg cause they'll often have already left lobby to requeue or they instantly leave anyway. At least that's my guess.

I'd like to see an actual cooldown for such an all-in-one ability, rather than a 3 second animation, or a 4 second animation for hitting something.
Insta-saw needs to be gutted though. It just ruins games.
As for the whole "perfect balance" thing, I would actually argue that Huntress is a better example. TydeTyme explained it very well in his Killer Tier List for 2.3.3
Honestly I don't think he needs one, his current one is fine to me.
And with huntress, I see what you mean about her, and tyde too, but personally I think Billy is better because he's so much less map dependant (plus that was 2.3.3, we're coming up to 3.6.0 I believe, so it's a tad bit outdated)

Yeah im fine with it, it makes it more consistent and easier for people transitioning from s->k or k->s (which let's face it from the state of these forums, we need). You guys say once you “learn” killers. Okay I have learned that a perk does indeed counter. But it’s not like I get to see what killer I’m going up against to put that perk on before the match starts. AND it’s not like I can adjust my playstyle accordingly once the match has started if the counter is a specific perk. Like all killers one knows to keep your distance. That’s not really learning anything new. Killers are all super fast regardless of who it is. They all have some ability or speed that make them equally as frustrating as the other to go on chases with. Trapper is REALLY fast lmao I can’t believe you made him sound like he has standRd speed. NO HES REALLY FAST actually. It’s almost not even fun. I’m sorry but these killers got a big helping hand the last patch and survivors need their buff in terms of chase survivability. Because I don’t have fun going on chases with these same few killers over and over because people know their good. Killer mains complain over and over and it’s sickening. 4/5 people you play against as killer are REAL people too that are also customers. It’s not about YOU getting your 4K every game. Several hooks and a kill or two sounds about right . That’s ideal. But how short I see people go on runs with killers nahhhh I’d rather quit too.
Honestly im convinced this whole thing is bait after reading this but I'll fall for it anyway.
Killers have 2 movement speeds (excluding nurse) - 4.6m/s and 4.4m/s, also known as 115% and 110%. Survivors run at 4m/s, hence the percents.
Clown, trapper, hillbilly, leatherface, a lot of killers are the exact same movement speed of 115, the only ones that aren't being hag, spirit, huntress, deathslinger, and nurse, all of whom are 110 except nurse at 96.
So, uh, sorry to break this to you mate, but clown is no faster than any other killer in the game. He can slow you down in a chase? Cool, he can't traverse the map so good luck defending gens even if the team is pepega.
I hate this phrase, but legitimately the only thing you can do is to just get good. He's known as (one of the) weakest killers in the game for a good reason, so literally just learn to play.

Also I read in one of your other posts you don't know which pallets are safe and which aren't. Rule of thumb: if a pallet has a long wall attached to it, particularly if they can see you, it's a safe pallet. If the walls are short, it's unsafe. These are the ones you can mind game most of the time.
Additionally, turning around and moonwalking around pallet gyms works quite well too, but know that here you want to force the pallet drop asap. Don't be afraid of being stunned, and if a pallet is safe don't waste your time breaking.

Okay so this is all coming from my own experience, but head into matches knowing that you're going to lose according to the game. Killers are ranked unfairly, and most of the time it's difficult to get a safety, and who can forget the lovely survivor who brings a purple flashlight, drops every pallet, then flames you for downing them. It sounds unfun, and it is unfun, but here are my ways to have fun:
-Set a personal win condition. If you're bringing a perk like stbfl have your con being to keep 8 stacks for as long as possible, or get a down with the spirit fury/Enduring wombo combo. Get 4 stacks of bbq, kill a survivor, play a killer you enjoy. Setting yourself a goal is how I have fun in this game right now. For me, when I play wraith, my goal is to get a grab. When I play freddy, my goal is to annoy survivors as much as possible just by existing on the map. When I play doc, it's to try and get everyone into t3 and keep them there as long as possible.
-3 gen them. This is how you win most of the games, because you need as much late game pressure as possible. Specifically on maps like Azarov's, find a gen lock, get that gen lock, hold that gen lock.
-Play fairly. It sounds really counter intuitive; tunneling a survivor is the quickest way to get them out of the game and win, right? Well, it's not exactly fun for either side, will most likely end in a dc, and you don't get anything from it. Now if you try and play fair, and give everyone a chance to do things, not only do you get more points, more emblems, and people are less likely to be toxic to you in the endgame chat, but you feel better yourself. Knowing that you killed 2 or 3 people whilst playing fair, getting lots of BP and experience, and overall you learn significantly more.
-Find a killer you love, and stick to them. If you hate the nurse, don't play her when you're really a trapper main at heart. You'll do much better as someone you like than someone you hate.
This is what I do to have fun, anyway. If they don't work, maybe you can find your own ways of doing it, or maybe killer right now it's for you; it's stressful, OchiDO fanboys somehow STILL exist, and gens like to fly on by. But when you get better- and you do get better- it feels so rewarding to finally curbstomp a team into the ground.
-
Dead hard is the best without a doubt, due to the ability to avoid a hit or extend loops. The issue is that dedicated servers mean that it doesn't actually function half of the time.
Sprint burst is the next best one imo. You can 99% it for an easy distraction to the killer without being hit, you can gain a lot of distance, and it's just really good. As others have said, you have to walk, but you don't because of the 99% trick.
Balanced and Lithe are pretty bad to me. Balanced is so situational that on most maps it's not worth it, and lithe is consistent and functional, but most of the time you use perks like BL or sb to gain distance to make it to a loop, and using lithe means you're already at a loop.
Head On is relatively strong, and by far my favourite. It's just so satisfying to use, and it brings joy back to this game for me.
-
Hi, I play a bunch of killer and survivor, though right now killer more because survivor queue times are awful. I've reached rank 1 on both sides, and my three main killers are Doctor, Wraith, and Freddy. Feel free to @ me if you need some help with the game, pointers on how to pressure, different builds to try, or the big one of "How do I have fun doing this?!"
Good luck guys, I look forward to seeing you out there in the fog.

I'm curious, what effect does T-Bagging & Flashlight spamming have on the match?
It does what it'd do in any online game; it tilts the player. It makes them want to tunnel one survivor all game, giving the other ones an easy match. For some reason though in dbd it's such a massive issue to so many players, whereas in any other online multilayer game it's just a "haha, okay good for you" moment and you move on, and feel good about killing them.
If anything, it makes your matches easier, because they're wasting time by clicking and tbagging instead of running tf away and making it to a loop quicker, allowing them to loop more.
-
Because some people still enjoy it. These forums love to be negative and complain, me included in most cases, and most of the positive posts (or posts asking people to be positive) are just ignored.
I, personally, enjoy playing killer. Wraith, Doc, and Freddy are the 3 I love the most, and I'm slowly but surely working my way to P3 50 all perks on them (done on my boi freddy).
It isn't half as bad as people say; I don't actually see that many people who love to gen rush, or the swf death squads we love to hypothesis about, or really anything I see complained about en masse here.
So why would I quit, when I find it fun?
-
The existance of David and his shirtless cosmetic just make me happy inside. There is nothing better than using head on as shirtless David, yeeting out of the locker and using your swole arms to smack some poor soul in the face.
Other memorable moments?
The time I hit rank 1 as old freddy, no addons, and trying my best to play fair. It was so incredibly frustrating but oh my god did it feel worth it.
Sinking over 1.5k hours into this game, about 750 on each side. Hitting rank 1 killer around around the 500 hour total mark, but finally recently hitting rank 1 survivor too was just amazing.
Since Demise of the Faithful, this game has been slowly getting better. Sure, there've been some... Questionable moments, but overall this game has somehow improved more and more each time.
Thank you, BHVR. As much as I love to make jokes about you, you've truly done an amazing job keeping this game afloat for coming up 4 years now. Considering how you do this whilst giving all your employees a very good amount of time off and everything (almost everyone if not everyone got Christmas off, for a week. No other company I can think of does that) , thank you so much.
Here's to another 3 years.

Hallowed Blight was amazing, and the best part is that games were slowed down because survivors wanted to spend time searching for and juicing the flowers.
Moonrise, too, slowed down, though to a lesser extent, and promoted killers not camping to find a lantern and destroy it, whilst survivors were trying to escape. It was, overall, amazing.
I’m really sad to see eents like these go in place of the Archives. They just don’t have the same feel anymore.

You'd actually be surprised because it goes both ways. I've grabbed people as killer who I shouldn't have grabbed, and had the grab cancel happen to me. As survivor I've left my action and then for grabbed, and people have had them canceled. It's bullshit for everyone, not just for the killers, and these servers are just frustrating at this point.

Honestly freddy. He takes the least brainpower to do well with, and I don't have to sweat or use try hard builds or add ons, and so honestly I can just use meme builds, relax, etc. It's actually pretty theraputic.
