I haven't got any of the licensed killers except Bubba just for Barbequeue (and I never played him much), but I personally would get Demogorgon and Executioner, just because they seem the most fun to play for me.
If you're just going for the Perks I'd take Bubba and Pig (she sounds fun too).
Bubba's Perk is definitely worth it because it makes it SOOOO much easier to farm Bloodpoints and is also a very good perk for every killer. And who knows, with the new Bubba changes he could actually be fun to play. Previously he was the most boring killer in my oppinion.

I understand the problem, but i would actually enjoy challenges who demand a bit team work from the whole team. Could be fun and challenging with friends to do.

Ty man @FireHazard
-
Alright, ty for the answers guys
-
Oh right *petrified I mean. But if they spread more where do they go? They have to go somewhere
-
this is hilarious xD
soo... i call them and a 2nd killer joins in and helps me get them nasties down?
-
@ZoneDymo my definition of winning = having had fun in a game.
@Huff That includes knowing that the survivors also have fun with the way I play. If the same survivor always ends up running into my arms I will hit them once and go away, but if I see someone just teabag after every window and pallet I ask myself why they are so hostile towards me. That ruins the game for me because even if I make an effort of making the game fun for everyone, maybe just having let baby Dwight get away, I still get another teammate disrespecting that.
Maybe you tell me stop caring about everyone else's fun but I don't want to quickly kill the worse players and then deal with the better ones. I like giving all of them chances.
Also @ZoneDymo that sounds great but what am I supposed to do on Oni? XD he can just act the brutal killer or take blood donations the whole game.

Punishing players for doing something that's ultimately harmless? Even helpful sometimes? No thanks.
harmless? I can see lots of new players lose interest in the game because they keep getting bullied like that. I'm just not a fan of such behaviour, even if it helps your team
-
Teabagging survivor bots that insult you after the game? XD
-
@asparagus Yes, i can see the trouble, what do you think about a positive rating system?
-
@The_Horde yeah... wise words, frolicking through the fog, lol :D
I'm probably just sad that some people are pricks, but that's a general world-problem

To solve toxicity you just gotta be toxic
that way the other side will understand how bad it is beeing toxic and they will stop
it's genius
If a survivor is toxic just slug or facecamp them
If a killer is toxic just spam your flashlight and tbag
That would just escalate the toxicity problem <.< and i feel like an ######### doing it

How does one solve me?

The survivor killer swap needs to happen XD
-
@Galklife You're probably right
-
@Rivyn Yes, I would expect it to be like that. But there are also players who loose and write gg and they would then leave a positive rating and this is where the system could distinguish between a toxic person who would exclusively get bad ratings.
@BeHasU Hmm but tunneling just the new guy just to get an easy kill is still unfair.
@DBD78 I did facecamp the dude in the basement where at the time another survivor was hooked. They came for the rescue and i nodded at the other guy and shook my head at the teabagger, but they tried to save both, meh.
@Kwikwitted You're right about that and it's too naive to think it possible that people respect their opponents.
But yeah, having a system like that would basically force them to play nice.
They could also reverse this and make it possible to give positive ratings so that if you got a high rating you get bonus blood points etc.
Hah or just make survivors automatically get teleported on a basement hook if they teabag or flashlight click. Shouldn't be that hard to recognise for the game.

No idea what happened here but my post wasnt posted first and then appeared 1 day later. Is that a forum bug?
I edited this one since it contains basically the same content as my previous one.

Hey why not make noed and ruin base for killers?
nice but ruin should work without a hex perk they could destroy

Dont be showing me some smurf account and cry about match making. Rank 17 with all those tier 3 teachables, c'mon man!
I know...I know...haven't played in awhile. Well if that was true, and matchmaking worked as intended, your friend would have been the op one to baby survivors.
Is smurfing really a thing in dbd? I mean you'd have to buy the game twice.
Also, I did not post this in order to complain in the name of the guy who sent me this. I just thought it was peculiar that high ranks would still use Urban Evasion.

Why are you demonizing them like it's their fault? They didn't choose to queue up against you. Weirdo.
And this... i don't even know where you saw something deomonising there
Are people just too quick to assume an aggressive stance once they see the slightest hint of complaint against the other faction?
Again, this is no salty anti SWF thread. Since apparently some people don't read stuff properly I added some explicit statement in the original post.

Matchmaking quite simply isn't working even close to intended and that it has been like that for months now. This is in no way intended behavior, but I guess now they've decided to just leave it like this until they can finish the MMR system they're working on.
Did they say anything else about what they're working on?
@Eleghost said:
i believe it's reverted back to previous state where they are all playing with the rank 14 who is in close proximity to your rank. Typically that is the trend i have been seeing with red ranks in yellow/brown rank lobbies.
When I'm queueing with a grey rank friend who just got the game we mostly get better killers and he complains about the game being unbeatable :P yeah this ranking system seems twisted

First, sabo toolbox with repair addons, what an absolute gamer.
Second, my guy if you're complaining about urban evasion then I really don't know what to say anymore.
Three of em have self care, so they'd spend most of their time helping because oni.
Repair toolbox being used for sabo, this team gets better and better.
And how long has your friend been playing? They'd have had to get:
-Level 40 teachable from nurse (40 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from Plague (35 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from hag (35 webs)
-Level 35 teachable from Leatherface (35 webs)
Not including shrine because none of these perks have been there recently, and a rank 17 killer should be fairly new to the game.
So that's a total of 145 webs just to get the perks. They're all tier 3, and there's four of them, so that's 12 more webs at best case scenario, but probably more because rng.
So 145 + 12 = 157 webs to make it through to get all these perks.
A level 30 bloodweb seems to be the most middle ground in terms of nodes (imo). I'm gonna use a level 31 Web because that's the closest I have, and I'll centre my calculations around that (using my own game as a basis for that). There are two perks, 13 nodes in total. Only one perk can be taken, and after taking one perk the rest vanish. With 6 commons, 2 uncommon, 2 rares, 1 ultra rare, and the 2 perks, that would be a total cost of 43000 not including the perks. For the 12 webs on the oni, that would be (43000 * 12) + (4000 + 5000 + 6000) + (5000 + 6000 + 6000) + (5000 + 6000 + 6000) + (4000 + 5000 + 6000) which are the cost of the perks. This gives us 516000 + (15000 + 17000 + 17000 + 15000), leading to a grand total of 580000 bloodpoints for the one killer.
For the teachables let's be lenient and say all were uncommon (4k) except the teachables themselves. That is:
(43000 * 40) + (43000 * 35) + (43000 * 35) + (43000 * 35) + (5000 * 9) + (4000 * 157).
1720000 + 1505000 + 1505000 + 1505000 + 45000 + 628000
6908000. That's how many bloodpoints, on a good day, your friend would need to save.
Not including the bloodhunt, killers gain roughly 20k points per match.
6908000/20000 = 345.5, rounding up to 346.
Thats how many matches, on average, your friend would need to play with the current state of dbd's grind, give or take 100 because lots of averages were used.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how have they managed to get all those perks if they're brand spanking new to the game?
What's the point of me doing this? They might not be AS new as an average rank 17, particularly with those perks.
1) The urban evasion looked quite suspicious, that's why I mentioned it. It looked to me like 3 of them would just hide all the time while the r4 would show himself and loop the killer.
2) He hasn't played Killer for a while, thus the r17, but I wasn't complaining for him, just in general, what is this matchmaking, that was my point.
And actually, let me correct you there, Ruin is in the Shrine right now.
3) Impressive number juggling and, I appreciate it, but firstly, don't forget there is WGLF and survivor play, too. You don't have to play killer to farm BP.
The point of this thread wasn't to complain how unfair THIS setup is and what "OP" items/addons the dudes used but rather to ask about ranking system - if there are any announced changes and what you guys think about it.
And I wanted to know your oppinion on the 3 urban evaders. This does look like a setup with 4 SWF doing the strategy 3 immersed + 1 neon-Nea. Against less experienced killers I could see this strategy working and being quite frustrating for the killer.
-
I've played a lot Oni recently using Nurse's Calling, Ruin and BBQ mostly (and Whispers but i'll change it for Infectious fright) and most of the games where Ruin stayed up long enough I got all 4 survivors and had fun with the game.
My strategy is usually to vaguely check the vicinity around my precious hex totem with whispers and then go for the first survivor I see, farm them for blood until power is up, hook, activate and then snowball with BBQ. While his power is active you can easily pressure people away from gens and Ruin will do the rest. And rapidly downing people should help use the map pressure to keep the gens from being rushed.
I watched a lot of Scott Jund's Oni gameplays, which helped, but I still have a long way to go with him. But I think if handled correctly and if you find, farm and down your first victim quick enough, Oni can snowball pretty hard.
Also try Corrupt Intervention instead of Ruin to stall the game. (More consistent)
-
I stubled upon this. Nice idea! Especially if there would be multiple killers vs even more survivors. That would open up so many new possibilities for killers to work together and to synergise their powers
-
@FireHazard ty, that answered my questions satisfactorily :)
-
Weren't chases more survivor-sided anyways? I mean when I'M playing survivor I notice nothing of that but then again, I'm probably bad xD
I do like the fire crackers though, but I didn't get to use them that often
-
Scott and the other guy who has great key....
moments
-
Pig and Legion
Pig because who has time for 4 boxes for every single RBT
-
When you're having fun it's always a win, but otherwise i'd say when i get more points because that means i used my power well and had enough survivor-killer interaction
-
Can't they atleast find a way to just punish DCing on purpose? Lately i've had bad internet which i can't change
-
Oh yeah, shake that booty!
It looks like it's glued on his butt xD
-
That would be quite nice for people who prefer a playstyle, for instance being the party's healer
I like it
