Ah, yes, the "all Killers should be invincible" mindset. I love it.
If this is the reason you wouldn't like a Resident Evil chapter, then why is the Demogorgon a Killer? Or perhaps... Would Mr. X or Nemesis being implemented in Dead by Daylight would ruin your precious favorite franchise?

Daddy Demi just instructed everyone in his new video to abuse everything (except exploits/bugs).
Borrowed Time is a perk, not an exploit or bug, so I will do what Daddy Demi says.

Full Crutch Combo Tier: I will go out and say it, any Claud or Nea in my game is gonna have the full crutch combo. How can I make as many mistakes as possible as survivor and still get rewarded for it? That's what these players wake up and ask themselves.
Crutch Boys Tier: General crutchy survivor players. Maybe 2 second chance perks on them; more than likely dead hard and DS.
Reasonable Builds: Usually only 1 second chance perk from these guys, or none. But the build itself is still well put together
Meme Builds: Nancy players are actually the worst I would say overall. A lobby with multiple Nancy's is when I put on the survivor pudding and get ready for an easy game.
No Mither: I barely see these guys. But when I see a stock David in my lobby they are liable to be running No Mither unironically.
Put Jeff in the middle or riot.
I just started maining him and I am using reasonable / random / fun builds.

How would you buff it?
Simple. Instead of 10/15/20%, I would make it 20/25/30%.
I don't know why but using Brutal Strength to break pallets and windows and kicking generators is actually so satisfying. The fact that you do it so fast. And the pallet/wall breaking noises are also satisfying. Overall, I rate Brutal Strength a satisfying out of 10.
-
I love Brutal Strength, I have it in almost all of my builds, but if I were forced to change it, I'd simply buff it by making it even stronger. Lmao.

Not a bug, intentional change. Surprise Buff!
Thank you! Guess this was a waste of a post, then. It can be closed or removed.
I didn't even know it was a surprise buff and such. 0_0
Well, guess "surprise" is the reason why.
-
I think Undying is a fun perk to go against. It keeps the thrill up during the game, especially if you're solo and you cleanse say for example a Devour Hope or a Ruin that you didn't know existed yet. It makes you think "Ugh, this Killer probably has Undying and it hopped onto another totem." Even if nothing of that sort happens.
All in all, don't nerf, remove or rework Hex: Undying, please and thank you.
Yes, I am a Survivor main and this is my honest opinion about the perk.

@CalamityJane said:
Nope.
Exit gates should be random. Some games they spawn on opposite sides, some games they spawn near to each other.
A killer does not deserve to lose a kill just because they don't have a mobility power and cannot physically get between the gates, guaranteeing the survivor an escape.
It's already problematic on maps like Hawkins with guaranteed gate spawns, where M1 killers fall into a lose-lose situation when the third survivor dies. They find the hatch, that's great, but then they shut it and just have to cross their fingers and hope that they pick the right gate because it takes more than the gate opening time to get to the other one.
At the point where gate position really matters, it's usually down to one survivor and the killer. At that point the survivors have failed to do gens. That survivor has also failed to find the hatch, which is their second chance to escape through no skill on their own behalf, just luck. The gates powering is really a formality rather than the game just killing you once the hatch is shut, so no, it should certainly not always be in a setup desinged to favour the survivor over the killer.
Alright. I get it that people like RNG and stuff, and I don't have any huge problems with it either, but there shouldn't be two gates on the same wall. That's just my unpopular opinion, I guess.
It doesn't HAVE to be the opposite, it can just be on the wall next to the other, but still not on the same wall.

If you dont like it stop playing the game, and the same to everyone else.
If the problem is a big as you claim, then the player base will drop quickly and they will fix it straight away.
They are hardly going to listen to people on the forums who are clearly just venting after having a bad game.
They put they survey out. If moris are as hated as you claim then they will get changed in due time.
"If you don't like it, stop playing the game."
This, right here, is NOT the answer to every problem. If there is a game we love and we want fixed, our complaints shouldn't be answered with "Just go play something else." It's unjust. This is a game we love to hate, hate to love, or have a hate-love relationship with. But that doesn't mean we should go play something else if we have our fair share of problems. Instead, the developers should acknowledge this and get to fixing.

Nothing happened. It's a perk and it's being used, as every perk should be.

And how is this an unpopular opinion...? It even goes against the Entity's lore reason to "always" give the survivor up all the way until the moment where they are being dragged into the sky by the spider god
But it's so annoying that I completely overlooked other threads about it and just posted my own.

Blight, for both options.

Remove every gen slowdown perk, noed, ds, dh, sprint burst, borrowed time. Base generator times bumped to 100 seconds. Remove every god pallet in the game, give more mindgamable pallets and windows. Survivors get 30 seconds of invulnerability off hook, they have no collision and it shuts off if they interact with anything. If killer camps, the survivor will teleport to a different hook.
Mori kills one, key let's one out.
That solves crutch perks, gen times, tunneling, and camping. It would allow everyone to try different builds, instead of using perks as a band aid for piss poor game design.
The "Survivors teleporting to a different hook" idea actually makes sense lore-wise, to be honest. Moris exist because the Entity "allows" Killers to have their own kills, but the Entity can just mistake camping on the hook by the Killer becoming too greedy, so the Entity punishes the Killer for this.

To answer the thread's question: Kinda. His purpose is just...revealing Survivors wherever (unless they run Calm Spirit). Imagine if all Killers could do that. Just imagine. What's the point in playing Survivor if you're always revealed and your location is always known? Take a look at Object of Obsession, that perk has no real purpose whatsoever apart from turning you into a Killer magnet (unless...the Killer runs away for some reason because they think those that use OoO are good players...?).

- make some of the moris better and less lame.
- get rid of hillbilly if I had the rights to leather face.
- Try to get Robert England Freddy not 2010 Freddy(could be impossible)
- make people pay for standing at the door and waiting just to tea bag a killer
- balance a lot of perks
- Lock one personal perk to each killer and survivor

I've yet to add my opinion to my own thread, so I'll do it now. If Dead by Daylight was MY game, I would....
- Add a totem counter next to the generator counter, for both sides. I see no reason limiting it to a perk, or even hiding it in general. Just having everyone knowing how much totems there are is much more easier, especially for solo players. It could remain hidden for SWF though, to enforce teamwork. (e.g. Calling out to each other how many totems there are.)
- Rework / buff / nerf a lot of the perks, especially those that are completely useless in their current state. I have made a big list of almost every useless / bad / overpowered perks, and information on how I would change them, but I don't think I will post it just yet, since it's not 100% done and it still contains some ideas other people would definitely be uncomfortable with.
- Attempt to revamp the whole game's code, even if it would take years to do so. I'm no coder, but if I was, and I was the lead coder for Dead by Daylight, I would do everything within my power to recreate the code of the game, so it is easier to implement chapters and changes in the future.
- Add the ability to disable the new ultra lighting effects. As of yet, many people, including myself, experience lag-spikes during generator repairs and basically other actions that involve the new lighting effects that came with the new generators and such. Therefore, it would make it much better for everyone if we would be able to disable this feature for those who have computers that can't support it and aren't beefy enough.
- Remove perk tiers. It's as simple as that. There's no need for perk tiers and overall, having them just makes the game more grindy, as explained above. The overall cost of each perk could be 5000, which is basic value for teachable perks. And in this case, when unlocking a teachable, that would cost 10000 BP to give it some value, but that's about it.
- Generally reduce the prices of items. I feel like items cost loads of BP, especially because it's capped at one million. If Dead by Daylight was my game, Common offerings and add-ons would cost 1000, while items would cost 2000. Uncommon offerings and add-ons would cost 2000, while items would cost 3000. Rare offerings and add-ons would cost 3000, while items would cost 4000. Very rare offerings and add-ons would cost 5000. And lastly, Ultra rare offerings would still cost 7000, but add-ons would cost 5000, except they would be more... rare, obviously.

Aura reading is apart of the game. I enjoy the way the entity shares info with the character but I hate OoO and that is the only one I don't like. I don't like using the word fair but damn that perk sux(in a swf)
As a joke, we played as a 4 man OoO and even so, only 2 of us escaped. We even used 3 Open-Handed and 3 Kindred. It might be powerful if only one person uses the perk, but it's seriously not that big of a hassle. Perhaps it is a problem if the survivor using the perk is part of eSports or something and is generally really good.

More game modes. Would introduce bots at the same time and integrate them into the game modes.
A killer that uses bots as part of their power: Mimic powers, zombies, etc.
Bots that die in one hit or are captured/caged, escort side quest. Either help them escape or they die at the hands of the killer.
I'd also introduce more environmental hazards and weather effects. Toxic waste drums would give status effects. Mud slows you down. Weather would flare up and you'd be forced to take shelter. Etc.
I had a suggestion once that I didn't post anywhere, but basically it was yet another snowy map, but instead the middle would be split by a hazardous cold river that if survivors and killers step in, they would get slowed down. Killers aren't (or at least shouldn't be) immortal, so they would also get status effects.

Absolute first thing I would do is eliminate perk tiers & remove the Bloodpoint caps both on 32k per game and 1 million storage.
The game feels WAY too grindy & gets worse every three months. It's a ridiculous mountain to climb, especially for new players. And the last thing you want to do is scare away potential new customers.
Agreed. Although, I feel like removing the 32k cap can be abused by farming players, or potentially those who manage to face their own friends and decide "Hey, since we're friends, let's farm"
-
- Spirit
- Deathslinger
- Huntress
- Freddy
- Hag
- Pyramid Head
- Oni
- Clown
Literally take a Trapper, Hillbilly, Wraith or any other Killer not mentioned, and they're pretty relaxing to go against. Those that give the most pressure are the most annoying to go against. Blight may be a good pressuring new Killer, but he's very fun to go against.
I added Huntress to the list because I usually go against REALLY GOOD Huntress mains. And that, my friend, can be super annoying. Imagine constantly being hit by a hatchet across the map. What the hell??
-
@AetherBytes said:
Perk trees, every level gives a point and you can chose to have a lot of minor buffs or 2 major buffs (ends of the spectrum).
Though, while I do want to make a game like DbD where the survivors arent expected to escape, just make it as far as possible, i probably would butcher it.
I can see the second thing you mentioned being the original purpose of DbD.
But in that case, I would also make it so that survivors can do much more things and earn more BP. Because obviously, if you don't escape, you lose a few BPs.
-
I agree. I like solo queue as well. We might be the only two people who likes running random perks and solo queue. I get less triggered when I play solo, honestly. The key to having fun is to not take the game seriously. Unfortunately, I automatically take the game seriously when I play with friends. I don't know why.

We all should get the equal buffed and nerf for all perks as well to make the game balance and it better to nerf all meta perks in a way on both side where it can make the game fun by having everyone use the other unused perks which there is like 90 perks instead of using the same boring perks so yea just make the game feel fresh.
Why do you approach this situation with that kind of a mindset?
"All the killers will be happy and celebrate and wanna hear all of the cry babies complain"
Aren't killers also cry babies that complain? Like you're doing right now..? About DS, even...? A topic that's been discussed a million times.......? Sheesh, delete this game, please.

Honestly one of the most objective, sensible videos about balance in DBD I've EVER seen.
I've been around since The Hag came out and I gotta say I agree with 100% of what Otz said in this video, and everyone should watch it. If everyone on these forums played both roles equally maybe we'd all have this level of empathy and understanding that there's people on both teams, and both want to have fun.
I, too, wish for everyone to get along and have equal amounts of fun. But in a community like this, it's just not possible. It just isn't. Period.
I really wish the developers interacted more with fans. Maybe some of the community members are coders and could help refine the spaghetti code of Dead by Daylight. Wouldn't that be great, even if it'd take a lot of time? Imagine an update made by the community, for the community, with ideas introduced into the game from trusted members (and fair YouTubers, such as Otz).

I keep using the vault speed build 'Resilience and spine chill' It has only worked once in the history of me using it.
Every other time I just get hit when I touch the floor, and you can say 'latency this latency that' but I've had less than 50 ping before and i still get hit n land in the middle of the shack after landing the vault (medium or fast).
My next concern is I've seen the speed diff when medium vaulting, It does look faster, but does it not affect fast vaults? Because I seem to fast vault the exact same speed, same thing with pallets. I thought the build was to help with pallet loops but I end up getting mindgame and get hit anyway so...it don't help me.
I wanna keep using it, I don't know why, its just one of those builds you WANT to work because it could be rlly cool to use against but maybe it's just not meant for me?

hahaha see... people like us are out there, afraid to speak our minds!
But really, any activation condition would be better than none, in my opinion. As @Leachy_Jr suggested here, it could be picking somebody up from the ground, It could be getting downed in a protection hit, it could be unhooking 2 people in a match. I think just for keeping consistent with the rest of Bill's perks it should be something altruistic.
That's actually not a bad idea, although in that case I would increase the extra recovering speed from 50% to 75% or even 100%. Overall, Unbreakable by itself, currently, is not that useful of a perk. Let's be honest here.
-
I don't think so. As long as there are those icons there on the top left, you can't mix and match these sets.
-
Can I choose every Killer? I mean, I'm a Survivor, so it's only fair I hate all Killers, right?
-
I'm not sure what this is but it doesn't belong here, it belongs in the Feedback & Suggestions, right? @MandyTalk
-
False. This is a scam. My friend is a P3 blendette and he always gets caught. First in every match, actually. (It's starting to become more absurd than funny at this point, that's how much it happens)
-
@FogNoob said:
The recent announced PGTW nerf got me thinking why some other much more powerful perks don't receive the same treatment. I mean, I'm honestly ok with DS on it's own, but when you mix in unbreakable, a perk which only activation condition is you being downed (it rewards you for making a mistake, in a way), it gets a bit broken.
If unbreakable had an extra condition like working only when you get downed taking a protection hit (would kinda work together with BT, another Bill perk) that would make it a bit more fair, in my opinion.
The same thing with Object of obsession. A perk that activates by the survivor simply spawning on the map! Again, on it's own it's not broken. But add SWF in the mix and you have a team that knows where you are the whole match. There should never be something that powerful in the game. People complained about compound 21(which yeah, was too strong) when there's a perk in the game that gives survivors map wide wall hacks.
So yeah... I'd love to see unbreakable and OoO reworked next, even more than DS, to be honest. What you guys think about it?
Finally! Someone who is ok with DS and wants other perks reworked instead. If I could give you 10 upvotes, I would.
Edit: I can't see how you could rework Unbreakable, though.
