Finally, a post that makes sense.
-
Toxic killers are worse than toxic survivors, in my opinion.
-
Most of these complaints seem to be about Hex: Ruin.
It all boils down to how a singular perk change makes the entite game bad.
The new meta is Pop Goes The Weasle in every killer perk build and it works out well. It screws me over every time I play survivor.
Maybe I should make a complaint about how the perk works and it does good things for the killer and bad things for the survivor, and- Nah....

Amazing ? With that much complains? And its not because a game is amazing that you spend your time on it , its because you Like the game and that is your opinion not our opinion. I'm complaing without any solid ground to stand on? Lol yeah its true that i'm the only one complaining about rush gens , get out of your cave please . By the way i don't complain cuz i lost a few games i complain because i know about the game.
Lol yeah its true that i'm the only one complaining about rush gens , get out of your cave please .
Sorry, I think he meant you and the 10 other people who can't accept being outsmarted.
This community is big. The game is big. It can be played many different ways (even if the objective is the same). Just because you got gen rushed, that doesn't mean the game is bad, it means you're bad.
It's not the game, it's the players.
The only time the game is to blame if things aren't balanced and are looking horrible.
I personally think the game is just fine and you just need to find better ways to fix your problems regarding gen rushing instead of complaining to the developers on doing something about it.

This is the 100th thread I saw today about the devs "not listening".
Do people even realize how difficult it is to code and design a game?
Give it some time, let that be weeks, months or even years.
Jesus Christ.

That's BS , i would've say the same thing if Machine gun was still a thing , would say that too? No of course you would've cry like other survivors .
I don't even know what that is/was.
I'm just saying it's not hard.
I play both Killer and Survivor.

What a way to suck up to the developers who apparently do no wrong. I don’t exactly like to insult them but there comes a time where holding them accountable for their mistakes is a valid thing to do. Telling people to believe in them when they make the wrong judgement calls time and time again isn’t going to get people to believe in them.
What? I was literally responding to the thread maker guy's remarks about the game.
I see nothing wrong with that.

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
That's what you do as killer to stop gen rushing.
-
Y'all can choose to wait a bit more time for the update to be properly released without bugs and broken things, or don't wait and generate more complaints amongst the community. I'll have to go with the first option myself.
Go outside until then, have some fun with friends and family.
Smh.

Look lets not be childish about this, if you are a survivor main you are already kinda part of the problem.
Play both sides or otherwise keep your opinion to yourself, you cant talk about something you know nothing about.
I play both sides, actually. Rank 4 Survivor, Rank 11 Killer. But I just don't seem to be finding any problems with the game. That's my opinion.

You knew we were waiting two weeks (like usual) for the PTB patch to spice the game up. Only to release the real release date a day before our expected date to seem as though you were informing us.
Can you not see veterans of the game quitting? We as a community want to help better Dead by Daylight, but honestly we just get the impression that we aren't a priority.
Oh nice, more complaints. Let's see here..
1. Devs were probably doing something else or were actually putting hard work into the upcoming DLC so whiney babies stop complaining about bugs and other stuff.
2. Sometimes a killer just has to be overpowered and challenging to play against.
3. Ruin is fine the way it is right now. I don't know why so many people complain. I personally think the hex skill check thing was annoying as hell.
4. Battle pass is a trend in recent games and even though you hate to see it, it works out pretty well, remember that.
5. Most recent event was the lunar new year event. What the hell do you want, Easter event? Finding easter eggs hidden on maps to get a little bit of bloodpoints?
6. Bugs will be fixed eventually.
7. Queue times were always a pain, and always will be a pain. Not for me personally, I live in the perfect timezone. Only time matches are hard to find are night time.
8. Git gud lul
9. Console sucks.
10. Not sure what that means.
I believe in BHVR, and you should do too.

Friendly survivor main here, stepping into enemy territory.
From what I read, people take this game way too seriously.
Lmao.
-
Blood webs are as fair as they are right now and there's no issue with that. If people farm it, they just have too much time on their hands and they can simply play good. Keep in mind that auric cells cost real money, the game itself already costs 20 euros and the chapters also cost 5-7 euros each which some people don't even agree with. So 2500 auric cells would literally be ~25 euros if bought separately, and for what, for a few more items, offerings and useless perks? Not everyone can spit out money like that.
To fix your issue, just have more time on you and play more, and then do the same thing they do.
Only a real tryhard has all Survivors and Killers on Prestige 3, Level 50.
-
I agree with this 100%. There are a lot of "escape the trial" challenges and sometimes you have to wait too many minutes for a match, only to find out the killer disconnected/crashed. Instead of it counting as a waste of time, it should count as escape, since it does say "Escaped" at the end of the match.
-
I find Object of Obsession pretty useless in my opinion. It's one of those tryhard/toxic perks to annoy the Killer with.

Yeah I noticed after posting and edited my previous one. Doesn't change much though, the perk would still be useless, as you'd have to go out of your way to kick a repaired gen most of the times (GL finding one on maps like Hawkin's Lab). Even if this triggered after every gen repair (except for the last one, for balance reasons), it would still be mediocre at best. Sure you'd be able to punish people who finish a generator under your nose, but it'd be something that happens every once in a while, it'd be unusable most of the games, especially since it's a Hex too, so there's a fair chance it would still end up doing nothing at all before it even has a chance to activate.
Things can be changed to make the idea better, as I said. Perhaps revealing the aura of completed generators would help. Or maybe make it a regular perk instead of a Hex one.
As a Survivor main myself, I would find it frustrating if my team is bad and suddenly instead of 3 generators remaining, it says 4 again because of the perk.

Freddy is already strong enough. I think his direct teleport to gens already acts as amazing gen pressure. Don't think he needs another gen pressure ability.
Stronger = Challenging.
I could say the same thing about the Doctor as some people really think he's too strong. In my opinion he's annoying and too many people play him nowadays. Pretty much I win every game as a Doctor, too. (Rank 11 on Killer, by the way.)

No. Just no. For starters, why would a perk like this actually get worse when you rank it up? At 4 gens being done (and it probably wouldn't be up by then, let's be real) you only get a 50% regression? Makes zero sense.
Let's assume you got that wrong and the numbers are reversed, the perk activates once 4/3/2 gens are repaired and a kick causes them to regress by 50/65/80%. What are the trigger conditions, besides the Hex staying up? "After that", after what, exactly? Once the 4th/3rd/2nd generator is repaired? It's horrible.
And on top of that it also has a 30 seconds timer to use it.. for most killers, this alone would make it unusable as it's simply not feasible for them to walk to a generator (one that has significant progress on it too, ideally, to make the most out of this perk), but say you're in a chase with a survivor when this thing procs. What then?
It's terrible. PGTW does the same thing but way better in every possible way:
-it's not bound to a hex
-can be used regardless of how many gens have been repaired
-although it's only 25%, IT'S NOT A ONCE PER MATCH, sorry about the caps but I feel like this is a huge one
-you have some control on when and how you get to use it, since it activates once you hook a survivor
-it's a lot more likely to be not only useful but actually useable, since it's got a 60s timer
-when you get to use it, you're likely to pressure survivors who are currently repairing and starting a chase right away, whereas by kicking a repaired generator (which you can't even track properly since you don't see their auras btw) you'd have to walk somewhere you're very unlikely to find survivors at.
The whole point for the perk would be to be able to kick a generator that is already complete.
I don't mind any suggestions or ideas to make it better though. Sure it might sound useless if the Survivors are too good and manage to repair another generator in time, but what gives? Everything has a positive and negative side.
PGTW only works on working generators and when you hook people, no?
Besides, imagine being able to kick a working generator to turn it off. Late game, this would be annoying but that's kind of the reason for the perk.

The only change i would make is the tiering of when it becomes usable. Either 4/3/2 or flat 3.
I was going to make it flat 3 but the only reason I made it 2/3/4 is because this perk would be more annoying late game, in my opinion at least. But all in all it doesn't exactly matter.
-
I like these ideas.
Sounds like new mechanics and it would make the games more difficult or interesting. I have some ideas myself for this actually.
THE NIGHTMARE
Whenever Freddy teleports to the generator, it automatically starts to regress. Additionally when going up to a generator, Freddy can turn it into a bloody one, causing it to regress again and the Survivors scream once if they start to repair it in the Dream World, or whatever that blood puddle ability of Freddy is.
THE LEGION
The Legion could already kick the generator by default, but to spice things up, while in Feral Frenzy and attacking a generator (or otherwise sticking the knife into it), it will break it and it will start to regress slightly faster than usual. This is like an instant break, but the Feral Frenzy will reset since it will also count as a missed hit.
-
I think the game still has the horror aspect to it.
I get scared by a no terror radius/red stain Ghost Face or Myers every single time.
Or any killer that pops up without a terror radius/red stain.
Ruin is fine in my opinion. The hex skill check thing was stupid.
-
Decisive Strike is good but at the same time every time I am the Killer, it's quite useless and I catch the Survivors regardless.
-
I play more Survivor than Killer, however every time I play Killer and have a long chase, Bloodlust is already lost for me every time I break a pallet because without the Brutal Strength perk the pallet breaking is very slow and the Survivor has enough time to leave and get out of the chase.

Your 3rd and 5th ideas are interesting. I've heard some version of those ideas floating around and they seem the most realistic changes the devs could implement. I think the idea behind no mither is a hardmode for players so I don't see the devs giving it something like endurance or 3 hooks.
Gaining bloodpoints for using the perk is a must! Survivors need more than just We're gonna live forever. It rewards the player for being vulnerable and one shot the whole match.
Starting off healthy and being broken after getting hit is another must. The only thing else I would add is make it so the killer cannot see if the survivor is broken. Then if they slug the no mither they won't instantly pick them up and hook them because they know they have it.
Some people have said no mither should be 100% silent (no moaning) but I think the grunts add to the challenge of the perk. It's not supposed to be an easy experience when using it and I think the devs should create more perks like no mither like challenging based ones.
Good reply! As I said, I didn't think much about all the ideas, I just wanted to get a post done quickly before midnight.
About the 100% silent thing, as I said Iron Will can already do that so having that feature is already kind of pointless, however according to the wiki, Iron Will doesn't apply in the downed state, while No Mither's grunt and pain noise reduction does apply.
Interesting.
