I wonder why plague is so high up? Me and my swf bully the hell out of every single plague lol

Because most plague players are potato's. A solid plague can be extremely scary. Seeing one is incredibly rare, because she isn't commonly played, and her real mains with a lot of time on her are low.

The second part of this about people not playing the other role is incredibly true. People that play both roles normally end up just being better at the game faster because they had to deal with the BS that they will then use in their own games.

Yes, that's how I got pretty good at killer was playing survivor, and that's how I got pretty decent at survivor. Just learn both sides, and it's much better.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

I play both roles. I'm terrible at both roles. I understand the game, but I'm the worst at looping and can never remember what to do at tiles (I've watched videos multiple times, but when I'm in the thick of it I just... forget it all). Most people aren't self-aware, though, and will blame their failings on others.

Solo survivor can suck due to bad teammates and/or matches in which it feels like I never had a chance to participate, but killer is the stressful role. A killer is stronger than an uncoordinated solo team, but otherwise killer is the weaker role because a killer can't be in four places at once and survivors who understand and capitalize on that win. Me dying as a survivor in almost every match doesn't change that: I don't die because the other side is OP, I die because I don't get better and because my survival is dependent on the other three survivors not being potatoes. But again, self-awareness is key and the majority of people lack self-awareness, that's why psychologists can make so much money.

Once someone admits to their own doings they are self aware in a sense. Majority of people a very large chunk of people don't admit to themselves and or blame other for their own doings or their mistakes. Skill etc... Those are the unaware people, and the dbd community is filled with them.

deathslinger isn't perks depended he is player depended. Perks like Save the best for last or monitor & abuse are not the best on him you can use other perks that would let you do better things

I don't think Monitor is needed on him, but the problem is, is that the wipe and recovery animation along with reloading after a hit if you shoot someone is painfully long, and it can take a bit to catch up if they just hold straight w. That's why most DS I see run STBFL and whenever I play him I do too.

So I noticed you said you wasnt the best survivor but still had understanding of the killers, do you think killers should be nerfed? Personally I feel alot of killers need slight buffs, I do consider myself one of those top % players as hell I know every tile, map, totem spawn etc. But i dont use meta perks and i never feel powerless. While I dont feel everyone should be an amazing survivor I do feel the biggest issue is alot of survivors dont do gens and tend to trade hooks etc. Which tends to be the downfall of their team than the killer was too op. I'm curious if you feel the same as or slightly different?

Well the majority of my playtime is 70 killer 30 survivor spanning 2.3k hours. I don't think any killers need a nerf. I think spirit could possibly be toned down a bit, because she is incredibly busted with Stridor, but I don't think anyone else needed a nerf in the roaster. Mainly Freddy and Twins they were fine in my opinion. You are correct though most survivors are the downfall of the entire team. Most survivors blame the killer, but that isn't the case that happens in the round. If you hook bomb like most survivors do then that's the survivors fault. If you crouch around while the killer isn't even remotely close or even willing to take a chase you are actively hurting your team.

  • @Omans said:

I think this is the first list I've seen that I haven't thought "this person doesn't even play DBD"

A few small things I would change - I'd much sooner put Plague in C tier than A tier. She has been really overestimated lately. And Trickster is still super low tier.

Simply putting Twins in a high tier means you actually understand the game and are an actual red rank player.

Plague can be strong in the right hands. I thought about putting her in B tier, but she would be pretty strong even though I don't like playing her. She is so reliant on dedicated servers to actually pull her power off right, but her power is also strong. She does feel janky to play in my opinion. So there is always room to move her elsewhere depending on how you feel about her. I perform pretty well with Trickster. He is the highest mechanical skilled killer in the game which might sound weird to say, but the fact that 8 shots or 7 with melodious murder is needed. Along with recoil, makes him a deadly force if you can land your shots. I still don't know where I would put him personally but after 200+ hours on him I settle with lowest B maybe Highest C. He is a hard killer to play, simply because his power requires a lot of knowledge. Good aim and a lot of other things to perform well with him. That's why I like him a lot. Twins is super strong still even after the nerf they got, but they are still a force to reckon with unless you are going against the highest level swf which run in pairs.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

So I see many posts on the forums and receive many messages in game complaining how OP or strong killers are against solo q survivors or just straight out the killers need nerfs. But when iv versed these people I notice they really have very little understanding of killer powers or loops in general so I'm confused why they think a killer should be nerfed etc. (Quick example had a game where the survivors never really touched a gen and just all went for altruism, trading hooks while no understanding of tiles or pallets etc.) Yet those same survivors said killers need a nerf, these players was rank 2/3 so is the rank making them feel like they cant improve and the games imbalanced? Are they just survivor mains? As someone who plays both roles at rank 1 I always struggle to see a killer as a power role, iv never been this killer is op when I get destroyed as survivor as its usually down to my team not doing gens or chases etc.

It's hard to say, but what you are saying is true. Efficent survivors even a good solo team splits up on generators and hammers them out, but the case of this happening in a non SWF that is actually trying their hardest to win is very slim. Most survivors aren't aware that they are just not that good in my opinion. I'm not that great at survivor, but I do for the most part have knowledge about pretty much of all the roaster, since I main killer. Most survivors don't play killer. If they do it's not very much, so what ends up happening is, is that they don't know the POV of the killer they are going against, so they don't understand the counter to powers most time. Killer is kind of op in most solo rounds, and most SWF rounds simply because majority of people don't know tiles and or to counter the killer they are going against. In terms of efficient solo's and good swf's/deathsquads the killer is no longer the power role if they know how to do gens efficiently, and micromanage hook states.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Billy and Demogorgon are very underrated on this. But hey, our D and S tiers are the same.

I thought about putting Billy up higher, but it feels like unless you know how to curve you aren't going to have the best time. Mainly with overheat now. Even with curving if the survivor is competent you will most likely not be able to hit them. His mobility is solid though. I thought about putting demo in B. While he might be in the lowest bracket of B the underlining problem with him, is that shred is alright even on scary good demo's. Faking it out is also good, but he just feels so jank compared to other killers. Considering his audio ques are global it makes it harder to play him just for that reason.

  • @WeenieDog said:

I guess it depends on the parameters? are we counting add ons? are perks included and what kind? Like I feel any killer can be boosted to at least B tier if you just put [ ruin, undying ,pop, tinkerer ]

I'm not really counting any perks or addons unless it's something that's pretty much mandatory on a certain killer. Like STBFL on deathslinger and Clown etc... You get the idea.

  • @Itachi said:

Is there a reason it's just non stop coldwind today? These maps are extremely unfun for killer :/

I got 4 fractured cowsheds in a row yesterday. I believe it's because they are coldwind which was already common + the they got reworked so they are still fresh.

  • @chargernick85 said:

I feel so sorry for you. I got the twins daily like 5 times in one week right before they changed them never did like the style you had to play to be viable but at least you could be. Got the daily again today and I didn't think that the changes they made would be this significant but holyshit they are flat-out terrible. I would take the entire killer roster over twins and it's not even close. Don't even think I will finish taking them to prestige 3. They really tanked the twins might as well delete them at this point. The amount of time survivors get to kick Victor is ridiculous even feels like they changed his hitbox seems harder to hit people. I'll have to get confirmation from other twins players on that don't maybe I had an off night but sure seemed like it.

Still don't know why they would nerf a killer that 10 people at max main lol.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

Even if I don't necessarily agree that the basement being body blockable is a good reason to disable the map it can't be that hard to hastily open up the doorway a little wider, even if it's not the prettiest work, it can always be dressed up a little better in a later patch.

I really want to play these maps.

Honestly anything to get me away from fractured cowshed. I'd take these 2 any day of the week, but when survivors always use coldwind for some reason it always ends up being cowshed. I didn't even get a chance to play on thompson house before it got disabled. I played a lot of rounds too lol.

  • @Pior_Morte said:

Nice, only disagree with Deathslinger and Trickster being so high up.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2180098#Comment_2180098

It feels wrong for sure. To add to that, killer mains say "his counterplay is dropping pallets or vaulting a window"

No, the Wraith is so fast he can zip around you to block the window or pallet. All a wraith has to do is stand in front of a window and when you get there, start to decloak and there is absolutely nothing you can do. It's a lose lose situation.

Decloaking should be putting the wraith in the game to play, not a free hit with no counterplay.

I kind of agree with you on part of that. His uncloaking lunge combined with his speed now is absolutely insane, and you kind of need to precisely time it in order to not get hit.

  • Wait why isn't blight in S but wraith and bubba are?

I did watch the rest and you proxy camped all the time. The reason I point to you admitting camping is because I correctly predicted that you would be denying that. No, I'm not going to watch you camping tomorrow. I've had enough boredom watching what you have so far.

" nick picking trying to make a case of your own agenda" - besides, I don't watch streamers who show bad attitude.

How did I proxy camp though? In some rounds that I didn't want to commit to a chase that I knew was going to be a loss for me? Playing smart is apparently forbidden now? I don't really remember proxying except for when it was the last few people, and denying unhooks if I see someone going for it. That's the right choice and decision to make when playing killer. I proxy sometimes yes, but I don't really see me proxying in any other game I played that night. Going back to the hook, because most people heal under hook is the right choice if the person is trying to take you to strong tiles. I don't deny anything though. I'm not that type of person. I'm willing to admit things, and I'm fully aware. I don't understand how I'm showing bad attitude, but that's fine you do you, but apparently 1 game where I did some camping means I'm a full blown out camper though. I can't change your mind, but most of the people who come across me in the end game chat at least off stream when I decide to focus and play fair call me incredibly good at Trickster. You based performance off of being awake for 40+ hours. That's why I said I wanted to go back into it more level headed and awake so I can actually perform well, and do just fine, and I did just fine for being awake for that long.

  • @Vetrathene said:

Just do it. It would be easy. it woudl let killers know who is cheating with voice and if they got actually out played or where playing against a force they can do nothing against...voice communication. It would allow killers to actually understand how they messed up, versus how they got cheated against.

You don't really get cheated against when playing against swf. Maybe deathsquads who knows every single loop and every single route on every map in the game then sure, but those are rare. Most people most killers play against at least in reds are SWF. Most of the time you just don't notice it. You'd be surprised how many swf's or premades also don't use comm's either.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2180818#Comment_2180818

Mmmm... You are camping practically every single game. What a boring thing to watch.

"I'm going to try and chill by the hook" 18:02 - is the summary of your gameplay. No wonder you are falling asleep. I'm falling asleep too watching this.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1014098491

Lol true I was not camping every game, but that game I did. Maybe if you would actually you know watch the rest of it you would see that I didn't camp in any round after that. So maybe instead of nick picking trying to make a case of your own agenda look at the rest of the vod. I punish hook rushers, but if you are going to make a case of me actually admitting to camping one bad round, but not watch the rest of the other rounds, then maybe you would be able to tell I didn't camp in any other round. If you want to you are always free to stop in and watch tomorrow. I will make sure I don't camp a single time for you. :)

I can leave a topic I made that got no attraction, but I can give you his best addons extensively. I mainly use fizz spin soda + melodious murder. Corrupt/Ruin/Shadowborn/BBQ. I usually 4k every single game with him unless I give hatch or person gets hatch. Rarely I will lose, but when I do lose it's usually on Mothers dwelling aka his worst map.

    @GodLikeTerror said:

I've said this many times, but edge of revival and cut thru u single is Tricksters best addon combo by far. There is a reason why I say this though. People love running Trick blades and think Trick blades are good. In reality they are alright. The problem is, is the consistency in Trick blades isn't exactly the best, and the ricochet is rather dodgy. No matter if you are consistent with it you won't be getting good hits with it consistently. Edge of revival allows for hits to be similar to Trick blades, but less laceration sure, but it's also consistent with no need for worrying about where the blades will ricochet. It gets similar hits, but stacks really well with cut thru u single. So in my opinion this is Tricksters best addon combo if anybody is looking for addon combo's I can officially say this is his most consistent addon combo that allows for disgusting downs quick and easily without a ton of mechanical skill required. I will give a list of his best addon combo's in order for anybody that might be interested in his best addon combo's for him. All of these addons have been tested over 200+ hour play on Trickster alone.

    1. Edge Of Revival + Cut Thru U Single
    2. Fizz Spin Soda + Melodious Murder
    3. Fizz Spin Soda + Ji-Woons Autograph
    4. Trick Blades + Cut Thru U Single
    5. Melodious Murder + Bloody Boa
    6. Caged Heart Shoes + Killing Part Chords
    7. Bloody Boa + Trick Pouch
    8. Iridescent Photo Card + Melodious Murder

Here is some Clips of how nasty Edge of Revival + Cut Thru U single can be I only have 2 so keep with me. Credit to VampKandy for a clip. :)

your right he’s viable against Rank 20 to 16 try playing him against red ranks where all survivors split on gens and have dead hard and know every tile

Dead hard is pretty useless against Trickster. Sometimes it can be deadly, but not that much. I have a 156 winstreak on him at rank 1. I lost it a while ago, but I might reset it again when I decide to go back to streaming everyday, and try to beat it.

Dang well with that setup you should really be able to run this game at Ultra / 60 FPS / 1080p no sweat even with Shadowborn, but you could always try taking off Shadowborn to see, especially if you're running the game at 4k or if you uncapped the frame rate.

Do you know anything more about when those FPS drops happen? I notice them when a status effect gets applied to me for the first time in a match. For example, getting M1'd by a killer with Sloppy Butcher briefly freezes the game and usually sends me running into a wall.

It happens just completely randomly when I play killer. I don't get fps drops as survivor. I have fps capped at 60 and play on low, but dbd is the only game that I get fps dips on, and I think it might be because of Shadowborn.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2179889#Comment_2179889

Your system could just be strong enough to handle it, but increasing FOV always negatively impacts performance. This would be a major concern for players on last-gen consoles or low-end PCs who already have performance concerns at the current FOV.

This actually might be the case for my fps drops only on dbd. Since I use Shadowborn I get fps drops for some reason on a 2080 TI/10900k only on dbd so I wonder.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

She is balanced, you just failed to hide efficiently while you were still healthy. Strider on any killer while your injured has the advantage vs stealth.

Okay I literally would stand there, and walk around, and she would phase right on top of me when I was healthy. I did not run, and I tried my best to hide. If you have expensive headphones with spirit it's not hard to play her. It's prob below freddy threshold on skill needed.

  • @Callmehandsome said:

If you want to make a case why spirit should be nerfed do not use 2k headphones as an argument my dude haha. But seriously i doubt buying 1 million dollar headphones would do much difference. If i'm not mistaken survivor injured groans have 8 meter distance you can hear without stridor, so no matter what headphones you have the distance won't increase further than that.

I'm not saying Spirit should be nerfed. I'm saying that Stridor spirit is absolutely busted, and majority of Spirit players use Stridor.

I don't know if that was her or not.

  • @RiskyKara said:

There is no way someone went that deep into the audiophile train just to play stridor spirit.

I don't doubt you went against someone that had those headphones with a good amp+dac and all that jazz, but there are tremendous diminishing returns at that level.

The amount of improvement been a $20 set of cans and $200 are so much bigger than comparing $200 to $2000. I'm not saying there isn't a benefit especially to the trained ear, but you're really overstating it.

You don't become a god just because you can hear a whimper.

Well I would say more about the person, but I can't on here so I can't exactly give you an answer, but they do have 2400 dollar headphones.

  • @NotACompPlayer said:

So you went against the best spirit in the game and didn't have fun so now it's the characters fault? Just say you don't want to have a challenge or go against anyone who's good.

How is it a challenge when there is zero counterplay at all? How would it be fun when there is absolutely nothing you can do but just be on the hook no matter what you do. On hawkins by the way the most killer sided map in the game in my opinion as I main killer myself. I like going against good killers. I don't see how it's amazingly fun to go against a killer who already has minimal counterplay, and stacking expensive headphones on top of Stridor.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yes, this is an amazing experience. 11/10, would die again.

But I hope that this person did not buy such a Headset just for DBD but is also active in Comp-FPS-games or stuff like that. Such a Headset for DBD is a big waste (especially since you dont need to have such a good Headset for playing Spirit, a decent one is enough).

I don't know if you have money to waste. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought it just for dbd.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Yeah. You could argue without stridor she’s fine but stridor on her is clearly broken

If were are going to talk about that's not normally hated by the majority. I would say Coal Tower for me. All the tiles can be chained together easily as survivor, and all the gens are right next to each other, so there is almost no downtime before survivors can hop on another gen. Totem spots on Coal Tower? Yea right lol.

  • Because it would pretty much change the entire core of Trickster now, but it would make it in my opinion just more steps for a similar result. I just don't think it would work out well, but that's just my opinion. The only thing he needs right now is melodious murder base kit, recoil gone, and 115% movement, and he would be set. Along with a Main event trigger on knives with a longer window to activate.

  • @ijustregist said:

As of now, trickster power doesn't symbolize anything in his music career; and his main event just doesn't make sense. Yes i know. But i had a thought of his rework.

    Jin-Woon Power:

    Recording Tape:
    Hold down the power button to hold a Recording Tape;
when you hit a survivor while you hold down a power button
    your tier builds up
    tier 1:no effect
tier 2:hitting someone will now give them oblivious effect(if u hate it you can just give it deepwound effect)
tier 3:gain a haste effect that gives u minium speed increase
tier4:you now gain acess to use main-event:knife throw ability

    Main Event:
When your in main event you gain the ability to use knife throw
the knife throw works similar to trickster current power
the knife throw wouldn't instantly injure survivor; survivor will need to take 5 hit from knife throw
to get injured, your power gauge will slowly decrease as you enter Main event, use wisely.

That's what i thought about Jin-Woon/Trickster Power rework!.

I would love to see what you think about my rework power concept..

    No

Simple to use power that's very forgiving to mistakes, something that alot of new players will make.

Trickster requires map knowledge, tile knowledge, good aim etc in order to perform well with him. He's not in the very easy category. Same with Huntress and Clown. They aren't forgiving either, because one mistake with them can cost you the game.

The fact that they literally made the map so bright it becomes impossible to see on combine the fact that they really didn't address any of the actual disgusting loops that can be chained together, and braindead loops that are impossible to mindgame. Add all of it into a bag, and you got maps that literally became more nasty after an update you'd expect them to not make the maps as survivor sided, but hey they did it to the game map and crotus prenn, so what else could I expect? Making fractured main building a little bit less weak does not make up for the fact of everything else they messed up in the process.

The other team won't like it but they don't have to like it right. If you want to complain about camping start another thread. A few things I'm thinking of if you want to become an elite camper:

1: First of all you should reach Rank 1 playing "normal" so that your overall game is good. To be a good camper you must be able to end chases fast, the standing around/patrol part anyone can do even new players. Many survivors thinks a camping killer is bad at the game and then makes mistakes because they underestimate the killer.

2: Playing "dirty" like keep hitting a hooked survivor or showing them that you won't ever leave them alone can make the survivor DC or hook suicide, that is more or less you winning the game only using psychology to get them of balance. But you do this only to win, not to be toxic of course.

Killer: While everyone will say Bubba is the best camping killer I got a better result using Doctor when I tried camping for a few days. Why? Because with Bubba they respected the killer and did gens. With Doctor they tried to unhook instead and I almost got 4k in all games. Doctor can also shock survivors trying to unhook so the hooked survivor reach struggle state. And if survivors were still around in the end game NOED kicked in and Doctor is very good at finding survivors. What killers do you use for camping and how do you use them for this playstyle?

Perks: NOED is always good because if the team just do gens you still have a good chance getting kills in the end since they never focus on totems while you camp, it's either gens or the unhook survivors focus on.

Agitation is always good also for fast hooks and/or basement. Perhaps Starstruck can be good when survivors try to protect the unhooked survivor, and No Way Out could be good with NOED for the end game if survivors live that long? I have yet to try them since I almost only play survivor these days.

I love face camping people who decide to do anything they can to agitate me. Usually ends up in everyone dying. Also the hitting on hook usually makes them opt out of the game. It's good psychological mind games.

Yeah, the lack of killers at higher ranks is going to be the death of this game if the Devs don't do something. It's making the whole matchmaking system go insane and forcing new players against veterans even more than normal.

It's because nobody wants to play against survivors who treat the game like it's life or death. I'm pretty much stuck to playing one build constantly even with 2.3k hours, because gens go by super quickly even with good pressure.

It is way overdue for transparency. I want to see the winrate of killers using Tinkerer, Ruin, and POP. Corrupt Intervention also. And BBQ on a fast killer. Will it show a game breaking problem? Killers love these perks for ez wins and I'm going to take a guess the winrate is above 3K per game. Without these perks I bet it is closer to a fairer 2K. It's the biggest game breaking thing in the game and it is also unfun to verse. I'm sick of these perks being abused.

I have yet to see a team beat an abusing Rank 1 Wraith with Tinkerer and Ruin. It's absolutely a busted combo and biased balancing for leaving this in the game for an overwhelming advantage. The Wraith has to be extremely garbage to lose. I'll be waiting.

It's not hard to destroy totems though... Considering half the time they spawn with a sign that say's cleanse me.
