I don't understand. We get more blood points if we are higher rank? I can't make any sense out of your post
In the future they are going to offer this, once MMR is released.
Anyway, to get back to the main question; This is their attempt at dealing with the grind.

Damn dude, still on about J-Flicks?
-
@CashelP14 said:
Personally I find it quite annoying just because of the fact it can't be done on all platforms.
You could be an amazing Blight but are limited by which platform your on. It also makes console players who play Oni and Blight look like they're bad killers when facing pc players. It's hard to balance something properly if it is easier on certain systems (Hi scroll wheel Hag 👍)
I didn't realise it was a feature the devs were going to change till last night but I'm all for it.
Those saying that J-Flicks should stay don't care/do not acknowledge that it can't be done on console. They are all PC players and that's all they care about.
The fact that not every Blight can do this due to platform alone is enough to remove it in my opinion.

Hag and plag are from super early bcs.
Hag isn't from the "early bcs" lmao. It's funny you are so upset about this timeline thing but you don't even have some of it accurate.
And I'm not sure why you think they can only have one Killer per "timeline".
Also, while the MASK for Ghostface is licensed, the character behind the mask was created by BHVR.
-
Did it? If it did I'm sure it wasn't intended.
It's only supposed to work after being healed or picked up from the dying state.
Also, the unhookers may have been using BT.
-
"Can only be done on PC"
How can you say this and then go on to say that they should keep it in?
You J-Flicks fanbois. I swear to god.

It's a "fix", but it still nerfs blight overall.
A "nerf" to PC Blight.
Did you know that DBD isn't actually only played on PC? 😶

Didn't you know?
Killing, blood, gore? Perfectly ok.
Swearing? Unacceptable.

Yui is higher. Any Means Necessary isn't that bad of a perk as it can be very useful in comms and for helping save resources. It's situational but the value you can get out of it makes the perk heavily underrated imo. Breakout is also situational but it can save lives. In specific builds with Sabatuer and Empathy, Breakout can be so fun to use. I remember one time against a Ghostface that Breakout actually came in clutch and saved my teammate's life. Lucky Break is the only perk that I won't argue because it is pretty trash and needs a rework desperately. Overall, I'd say Yui belongs in D tier.
Agreed. Her perks are definitely better than Ash's and Ace's. I'd argue they are better than Steve's as well.
---
Laurie isn't really top tier anymore. And I really think there should be a whole other Tier labeled "Meg" at the very top because she the best perks in the game hands down. No contest.
I don't agree with the Nea placement at all. She has one decent perk. She's got nothing. Feng has much better perks. Swap them Imo.
I love Kate, and she's my main, but I think she might be a little high.
Zarina should be higher. 🤷♀️

Last night in three games I opened 5 chests.
The first game I got a Dull Key.
The second game I got an Iri Map and a Dull Key.
The third game I got a Commodious Toolbox and a Dull Key.
It's insane. I've rarely gotten a brown item. Actually, since the patch, I think I've only gotten 2? I don't run plunderers or appraisal.
-
All of your GIFs show really bad survivor play. I guess that's how he is supposed to be played? By the Survivors playing poorly.
Especially your third GIF. Though that Cheryl and Nea were pretty butts as well.

I hadn't noticed. It might be a mechanics to mitigate camping maybe?
It might be.
Part of me thinks there may be a bug that removes it on injury sometimes, and it is only supposed to remove it on down?
Who knows. I don't like it either way.

What?
It can't be this ridiculous...
Right? I was surprised myself.
It was there only time I believe it's happened though. But it's still another issue with the killer.
It might be only in a down, as the other survivor was bad and got downed quickly, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. Either way it's really stupid and unneeded.
-
When you fill someone's laceration meter any one else with any amount of laceration has it immediately removed/healed.
I noticed this in a game where I was at 6 laceration after running the killer for a while and he switched and knives another survivor and she became injured quickly and I no longer had any laceration.
It's pretty dumb.
Edited due to phone

Basically everything is viable at low rank though.

If something literally as simple as “if equipped then when pallet drop = Killer stun, then 150%m/s for 4 seconds” broke the entire pallet mechanic, I have very low hopes for both this game and the developers who work on it.
Welcome to Dead By Daylight. The place where every change will bring a few bugs with it. Or it'll just straight break something else unrelated.

I know I said I was taking a break, but this needed to be addressed, when clown came out he had what is probably my favorite look so far for him they even updated the model, but what about after... Clown got a new cosmetic and can I honestly ask... this is a joke right? For his First outfit you put his big body in a tight suit with a terrible color scheme with both body and head piece with a small ass hell razor blade that isn't even bigger then said handle. Then put him in a janky overalls which honestly was better, turned him into Santa Claus that looks meh and only feels okay to where during the holidays. Then you dressed him up as a fat ass Pinocchio, that honestly was also meh. Then you Blighted him which was awesome as hell but felt weird to have during anytime outside of hallowed blight, then you dressed him up as good ole Mr.Puddles which I occasionally like. Then of all things you make him into the greek god Hades, which had nothing to do with clown period! Then you put him in overalls again, this time its purple. And now... you dress him up as a Chicken, and the only thing I like is the blade...
Mind if I ask who is making these cosmetics for Clown because right now I wanna scream and demand for a Clown Cosmetic that is reminiscent to his original design and appearance, I ask for another coat please for the love of god. Give us a proper Clown outfit, for our big bellied boy, please is it that much to ask for, god!
Rant over
( Note that this is meant to be a joke)
Of course it's a joke. It's the Clown. Have you even seen some of his other cosmetics?
Anyway, my Fiance loves the Clown and he loves this cosmetic. 🤷♀️

Legion and Freddy add-ons are actually decent, at least imo. The only two killers that I would put as having terrible add-ons are Deathslinger and Ghostface, since other than their reload/cooldown add-ons all others are weak.
Edit: Bubba also has some forgettable add-ons. Not terrible ones, just forgettable.
Legion has, like, one good add-on. Any that affects how long something lasts/takes are trash-awful. Like, not even a quarter of a second for some of them.
-
It's funny. Those who relied on DS see "DS NERFED!" and drop it. It's still basically the same except you can't abuse 60s of a free stun and health state. Those who aren't using it though never used it as an anti-tunnel perk, which is how it is designed to be used now.

I'm glad its working for you but honestly it's not the strongest build and his power is pretty bad even when used right, it wastes alot of time. Perks I'd suggest are ruin, pop, monitor and whatever youd like depending if you need more info, slowdown etc. BTW is adept bugged on xbox? Done it multiple times and still no achievement... sigh..
Reading this, it doesn't sound like it is working out for the OP at all. They are trying though, I'll give them that.
About adept: If you are using your power too much you will not get it. The chaser Emblem is messed up with his power and it'll make it impossible to get it. Either reduce how much you throw knives or don't use your power at all.
-

Well I can't m1 because he's too slow
Its impossible currently to get Adept if you use his power too much.
Not only because it is nearly impossible to 4k with it but, as you have stated, it does nothing for the Chaser emblem. Imagine not being able to use your power at all when trying to adept. 🤣

Meh. I like Fast Track when I run "Gen Jocky" builds. Self Preservation is good if you are going stealth, but is difficult to really use effectively and consistently. They aren't terrible, but they aren't great.
Smash Hit is trash though. Especially with the weird Pallet hitboxes now.

Played for 4 hours, 1 hour was playing for adept (got it after playing literally without power against potatoes), had the worst experience possible despite my huge experience on other killers, including huntress, plague and deathslinger.
Is that enough to give feedback or should I waste a literal month before saying new killer's power is dogshit?
About the adept: My Fiance had to do the exact same thing. He was trying to get it using his power but he could never get more than 2 kills. He finally got 4 kills by only m1ing against a team that wasn't very good.
I wasn't really watching so I thought he had used his power some and was worried that he wasn't going to get it because it is literally impossible to get it currently if you use his power too much because of the chaser emblem. But he said he never threw a single knife so... yeah.

@VonCrow said:
I don't care about rank, so I'm just playing him the entire time. Rank only means you play a lot after all, is nothing about skill imo.
He is not that weak, I mean, he is low tier killer for sure, but he is not entire garbage. What I learned:
- Use his power only in short and low heigh loops, in that scenario he is awesome. Other than that, just M1 unless you see a bunch of survivors in open area so you can go with the final act stuff (or whatever its called).
- Use a slowdown repair build, he really needs it. Ruin+Undying is mandatory, maybe even corrupt.
- If you ask for buffs, I would say: Reduce the amount of knifes it requires to injure or down (from 8 to 6 or 7) and remove the movespeed penalty while he is shooting.
This reads as more than "weak" it literally reads as "entirely garbage". Let me explain:
- He is a 110% Killer. Having to go full M1 based on the map and loops is unacceptable.
- Having 2 or 3 perks that are mandatory is also completely unacceptable. Not only that but they are 3 of the best perks in the game. Pretty garbage if you ask me.
- Says nothing about his current strength.
Why use him over the Plague? He is garbage.

Some fun examples of things to support your argument of features being implemented
combos in fighting games
rocket jumping in quake, which is also seen in games like tf2 and other movement shooters
nuke happy ghandi in civilization
All is these things were accessible and useable to all players of these games though.
Why are you so intent on ignoring the fact that J-Flicks should be removed because they can only be done when playing on PC? It is literally impossible for console players to do this, this is more than enough reason for this "feature" to be removed.

Ya but fri 13 got sued and stopped all major game production i was giving it a good go the first year it came out. tbh if they didn't get a cease and desist letter and continued adding content i would probly be playing that game rn it had a lot of potential. But sadly it will never be a thing thanks to legal issues. Dbd just got lucky enough to be licensed by some big names in the horror industry and they backpack off it.
It had massive issues that killed the player base before the lawsuit. Don't get me wrong, I loved Friday the 13 (Dirty No-Fear Baseball bat Jenny player) but the developers seemed intent on burying their game as quickly as possible.
Re: Resistance is another example of a fun competitor to DBD that the devs of the game appeared like they wanted to mutate the game into something awful and kill it as quickly as possible. Alex Wesker would have been proud.

What is this mean? I will have long queue for my Freddy boi? Because i know he is popular killer
No.
It means that you still have an MMR for each killer based on how skilled you are with them. Then, once MMR is turned on, you will be matched with players with a similar Survivor skill level/MMR. Popularity of a specific killer won't have any bearing on this.
-
@PotatoPlayer said:
I guess I'd understand why there's killer lock if MMR is killer specific. But dang did I run into a lot of Nurses and Spirits when I started lmao. What was the point 😂
MMR isn't turned on.
And MMR will be Killer specific for each player. Just because they are using Nurse doesn't mean they are good with them meaning low MMR survivors can face low MMR nurses.

I think I remember hearing that the wording is just bad. Normally, when you throw knives in a flurry, you get slower and slower, but you don't incur more slowdown with Main Event, keeping you stuck at the normal 92% for when you're aiming knives, meaning that it is working as intended and is STILL hot garbage.
...
I can't even fathom why they thought being 8% slower than Survivors during a Killer's activatable power was a good idea.
-
" and 4 survivors escape immediately"
?????
Literally how. Do you know how long I've been trying to get this Trophy? It's basically impossible.
-
@onemind said:

You get slower than nurse half way through it on top of not being able throw for like 10s after
Exactly.
It's literally the worst-designed power they've ever put in the game. The Slow down makes literally no sense.
I thought Main Event wasn't supposed to slow you down? At least it didn't on the PTB. Do you think it's intended or a bug? Or am I just remembering incorrectly?
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
Although the first bit is undeniable as it's a fact, the other two I disagree on, coming from a console player like you.
How can you disagree with Main Event being useless most of the time, and when it isn't it's actually a detriment. Think about how much of a time sink it actually is.

You guys are missing the true monster here, Huntress only has to hit a single hatchet for a whole health state and has no recoil! Time to nerf her ASAP. She should need to hit all 5 hatchets for a health state and if you hold it for too long your camera starts swaying cause her arm is getting tired.
She would need an activatable power that has a start up, stuns her and puts her hatchets on cooldown too though.
-
Imagine needing DS when you play Survivor. 🤔
"Do you think low rank players enjoy getting tunneled and camped?"
What "low rank survivors" have Laurie, have her leveled high enough for DS, have it on their main(s) & are able to use it consistently?
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2068272#Comment_2068272
Ah yea mb same power level as t2 only Myers ohh wait Myers is faster with a smaller terror radius time to nerf myers
Plague can apply a status effect that ticks up overtime AND infects other players? She also causes the broken status effect and doesn't need to reload?! She's also FASTER?! AND her activatable power doesn't hinder her?!
######### must be OP af. Oh wait, she's only average to above-average? Damn Trickster. Just... damn.
BHVR is confused by what "data" is I think.
-
@Munqaxus said:
With the DS nerf, it's time for a fix to camping. DS was a bandaid fix for a much bigger problem and the Developers are going to see they need to do something to fix camping. (Tunneling is caused by the ability to camp or soft camp). Camping is toxic and isn't needed as seen by content creators, over and over again.
What the Developers hopefully will do is make is so hook progression stops while a killer is not in a chase and is within 32 meters of the hook, except for end game collapse. That keeps survivors from abusing it and it forces Killers to leave the hook and gives the hooked survivor a chance.
As @Seraphor just said this has already been tried and it failed ABYSSMALLY on the PTB. It was easily abusable.
The DS change doesn't change camping at all, as DS wasn't ever much of an anti-camping perk anyway.
-
Didn't you hear? He's actually really strong and there is not enough data that proves otherwise. lol

Nobody's saying he's going to be an absolute god, or even that he's going to be good, but every time there's a new killer, people don't play them with 100% efficiency. Trickster is going to be bad, undeniably, but not as bad as he's being played right now. Eventually, people will figure out when to throw, where they can throw, and those other little nuances that let people use his rather unimpressive basekit better.
We have enough information to understand the potential of The Trickster. He has little, to none.
No one uses new Killers at 100% effectiveness but most everyone can see their potential.
Most recently? The Twins were called weak because Victor couldn't interact with lockers so he hurt you more than help. They changed this and they are considered pretty strong now if unfun to play as and against. Also super rare.
The Blight? Fix his Collision BHVR! They did and he was considered pretty good, outside of his POV. They've fixed that now too, and outside of the weird issues some people experience on Console he's not considered weak at all.
PH? Everyone saw the potential they just knew he was hard to use.
It doesn't take that long to see and know if a Killer is strong/has potential. Especially when they are a worse version than another Killer in basically every way imaginable.🤷♀️

It would be a good change but it would still be awful because it puts said knives on a cooldown. After being Stunned. After a lengthy start-up. After taking ages to build it.
-
It makes no sense.
There are enough Killers, and many of us have enough hours, to understand the potential of a Killer and their power. You just have to look at the facts of how his power works and how much The Trickster is punished for using it to see that he is a 110% m/s M1 killer with an activatable "power" that makes him even worse.
-
Explain to me why, outside of cosmetics, you would use The Trickster over The Plague?
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
The thought process was that he would be easier than huntress. He doesn't have to make one clean shot, he can spread out the pain over 8 clean shots. Of course, they overdid it and made it too spread out.
