As long as it's not another spirit/onion tie. I'd much rather split off from them and have more unique ties than just growing an old one.
-
It's like when I play survivor and rng just gives T&L walls against ranged killers lol. Honestly they do need to fix rng from the tiles that spawn, gen and hook spawns, pallets on a map etc. You can play the same map twice,one being amazing rng for survivor and then another awful. Should always be balanced
-
Well let me put it this way, swf can annoy me at times but I understand it and I'll explain.
1.survivor is easier, just the way it is and if most people are honest they are the power role.
2. Swf gives a number of advantages, these would normally be through many perks as a solo and so a swf gets 10+ built in aura perks.
3. Information shared can be game changing, gens nearly done, hex locations, killer direction, who's being chased etc. This can hurt certain killers alot
4. Swf isn't always friends, they are often just a bunch of very high skilled players that group together removing weaker links the game relies on for balance.
Finally I want to say I dont mind swf, I think it's great being able to play with friends etc. It allows me to play with my misses (although she's not the best) but I allows us to have some fun together which being at a huge competitive advantage. The reason solo Q is bad is because so many people dont belong in the ranks they're in and that's the rankings fault. Solo is completely fine and well balanced for the most part, I can hands down say if its 4players like me I'd win most games with the killer getting few hooks. Not trying to be cocky but I'm well experienced.
But for average players versing a group is far more difficult, doesnt mean there isn't more chill swf but what I would consider chill others would still struggle. Honestly even as someone who does swf (duo with my misses) I can say it's much easier even if we both arent at the same skill level due to the communication etc. Personally feel action speed should be decreased by a very small % depending on group size just to balance the info they can share.

Just had a full team of survivors all running behind me while I hook and unhook instantly for the 20 unhook/protection hit challenge. It got annoying so I slugged them all, ended the game with 4 gens remaining. It's at least bearable when one person does it but making these the first challenge just ruins matches like this.
Currently had 3 games in a row where that has been the case lol. Its honestly such a boring and bad challenge, it should count for everyone no matter who gets the save

How trapper can instantly end a chase and deny loops and injure from distance if they step in trap
I agree that legion is debatable but he's atleast not map dependent and 115 its literally did trickster get a good map yes he's better no he's worse
Legion is far better than trickster. But I guess that depends if you're pc as once again recoil is easier to control due to mouse sensitivity. Still prefer legion though, map control, great for injures and is 115% speed

On the other hand, at least you won't be worrying your team will leave you to die on first hook.
But TWENTY is insane. I was lucky to get 1 unhook in my last game cause the killer spent most of the game chasing me.
I mean you shouldn't ever be left on your hook, my games normally have altruism hungry players so this challenge is insane, I just watch everyone trading the whole match and it's over in no time

I'm with @Orion & @EvilJoshy on this. I'd be fine for linking your game accounts to the forum - great way to stop all the alternate accounts that get created! But having stats to show who was worthy to give an opinion (which is what it would boil down to), would be pretty bad and create something completely elitist.
New players are just as important as veteran players and their opinion is just as valid - having stats showing on the forums would get those newer players points of view completely written off.
The whole "stats on show" would just make the discussions a big "I've got 2 more hours than you so I know better" type of thing, which isn't what we are looking for here at all.

Well its once again not to dismiss people but instead provide more information to the devs etc. Even if the information is always completely private I feel it would give better feedback to everyone on the team. This way if new players are struggling you will have more information as to why etc. Plus I feel itd be an extra way to encourage and reward players that take the time to leave feedback through surveys etc.
-
@Orion said:
Nah. I'd rather not give people a new excuse for dismissing comments/users they don't like. This would just drive up the elitism.
It's not to dismiss people, but having new players talk about balance I feel the devs should know they're new players even if we cant. People will always be rude to others as that's just how it is but showing stats alongside their experiences would help for a better understanding
-
@glitchboi said:
That would be rad, being able to link your BHVR account to your forums account so you can flex your stats. I want that.
Flex all you want lol, at least the stats would show facts as well as help the devs gain more data from linked players
-
Personally I'd like to link mine, I always do the surveys and I'd like the devs to know who is actually giving them the information. And I'd also like forum members to also see my stats to remove doubts etc. And when listening to advice they know I'm experienced etc.
Oh and rewards are nice

I see what you're going for here with the GTA styled lobbies. But this won't solve anything.
It'll just be AFK land
So be it, after awhile they will get back to normal. But quitting isn't punished enough and it's too common for silly things like being outplayed. I understand emergency reasons etc.but they wont be constant DCS like people are currently doing. 3hours today spent in 3v1 matches as either side it's a joke how often people are quitting
-
I think you should feel pride without bonuses. It's not meant to be a charity or a party. It's simply meant to be a representation and support of such people and that should be the focus. You want people to support the motion not the gifts... just saying
-
Way more than that if you play killer, I have all perks on everyone and I'm not joking the amount of addons iv stacked across killers that will never be used because they're terrible and meme like is unreal. Got 1000s of useless addons on each killer.
Survivor isn't so bad though worst addon for survivor toolbox removes skillchecks lol, killer always get the worst of it though.
-
Crappy killer perks, the odd decent survivor perk. AI are cool but 2 is little on open maps, ability isn't that creative. Dont like indoor maps. And sadly very little updates on the base game.
I like chapters but I'd rather alot more detailed health changes and balances instead. We have plenty of chapters atm but alot needs fixing and adjusting buff wise.

Agreed! Just a shame console players are cant get as many advantages as pc, but that will never change

You don't get the point, 1 I don't know if killer is a spirit or not. 2 Requiring to use one item to win is a bad game design unlike with Hag where one survivor can harras her trap by himself while she's chasing another survivor or using a flashlight to destroy her traps.
Well I agree it is silly to stand still to win so I do get the point. But honestly and even bigger issue is just bad survivors, most of the time the survivors are what annoy me most not killers lol.
-
Use a flashlight, it's how iv been finding out but I agree standing still to win kinda sucks
-
No, console only affects killers and that's mainly due to the extra lag and sensitivity needed. But it's more common to see chill console players as the player base is huge. Then again I see many bad pc players too. Only issue I have with pc players is the latency... it's like crossplay makes it 100times worse
-
Actually it will be a buff, I just hope the mori offerings turn to something good. If hate to see my 500 ebony Morris turn to trash

Dude, I'm gay, and feel free to wear the charm. The rainbow isn't gay property and no one has the right to dictate how you dress your lil' character.
But don't mistake a small handful of Woke SJW's of being any kind of authority. It sucks for the rest of us, but there is an extremist, vocal minority around these issues. Usually, they have never experienced any real oppression their whole lives, yet they feel the need to police everyone else. I immigrated from Russia. It's not good to be gay there, and yet I'm far more chill than some of the little militant twats here in Canada who grew up with wealthy, supportive parents in a gloriously free country.
Wear whatever you want. I think it's great if you like to signal you're cool with human differences. Don't worry about people who live for the Oppression Olympics.
Oh trust me I'm well aware that there are always a bad bunch no matter the community and you cant judge others because of the select few, so dont worry about that lol. Sorry about your past btw but dont worry I'll rock what charms and cosmetics I see fit XD
-
@MadLordJack said:
Have people really been doing that? Or is this a very small but vocal minority that are being given disproportionate attention?
Maybe it's just a server thing, on AU it's very easy to tell the homophobes because they outright attack you. Not that I've seen any since the charm was released, of either the accusations or the homophobes.
It's common. I'm straight and have been attacked by gay players because I'm using the charm etc. Apparently I dont have the right...
Nowadays it seems people always want a way to either play a victim or be seen as better... I dont get why everyone cant just get on and enjoy a game regardless of real life genders, sexuality, race etc. Main reason I didn't support the idea, not because I dont support those people as I do but the issues that come with it seem alot and unneeded. People want to be proud I get it, but you can be proud without making it all about that and that's what some players are now doing as well as those targeting those players. Both are few but it all adds up in the end.
-
Well sexual preferences didn't need to brought into the game. While I personally dont care how people identify as honestly everyone is the same in my eyes things like this is bound to happen. False accusations as well hate, just the way the world works.
Afterall it's just a game, just play it for what it is and have fun...

I hope you’ll be getting more soon! Crazy that there’s so little people doing it
Well I play on xbox and eu, often that means getting hate lol especially at high level play regardless of the game. Must admit it's much better now, when the game first came out I use to get hate messages and false reports every 2 killer games but since crossplay I get less hate because they physically cant message lol. I guess people dont like to lose, I have never been a toxic player in any game so I dont understand the hate tbh, if just accepted most games will be filled with childish players

Started around a month ago, and the first game I played, I played with some friends got facecamped at basement hook by a bubba, defiantly an interesting introduction to the game.
Yeah sadly that's the recent experience for new players, often the killers dont know how to play etc. Or feel unable due to lack of perks/knowledge but hopefully the new tutorials fix that for newer players
-
Ngl I'm kinda sad, survivors will likely have better hexs than the killer themselves... I'm also assuming killers cant destroy them etc. Meh I'm glad they're trying new things with perks but always feel the killer get the slightly weaker end of the updates
-
Couldn't really say, played the game since release and never really got a nice message other than the 12ggs within that 4+years period
-
@Avignon said:
I'm more curious how the you'll get shards in the event. They said you'd get 18k (enough for a character) and that you'd get that 18k even if you joined the event later. Soooooooo do we get like a daily with ~1.2k shards or is there like a bar that fills up and maxes at 18k after like 10 games... skins! *drool*
Its 9k shards and it will be log in between X and X to earn it. So a single log in during the period will give you the 9k shards to unlock a single character.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
They were probably referring to original Characters, which you can buy for Shards. So if you are missing out on AC-only Characters and their Perks, you have a higher chance to get those Perks in the shrine, since the shrine changes more often.
Maybe, damn sucks to support the game lol.
@Mooks said:
It also helps kinda against the grind. If you have an abundance of shards you can’t convert them more often in the Shrine of Secrets into BP.
Still an awful lot of shards for BP, but I feel that's what I might do so I can grind the double survivors again. Honestly rather reduce grind and balance update than a new chapter in year 6

From what I saw in KYF, they spawn at opposite ends of the map. This means that 3 would cover a large portion of the map. 5 would just be impossible to play against. Don't forget, they're attracted to noise and can only be temporarily destroyed with a pallet.
By the time you get a kill though most gens will be done so it would be balanced. But being real adding an extra one for bigger maps is a fair ask. 3 for huge maps wont do much considering they move so slow... ptb is full of mixed skill, everything usually gets weaker due to the easier players I verse in ptb
-
Should increase zombie tbh, bigger the map more zombies. Such a cool feature but 2 is damn awful, should at least be 3 and 4 on the bigger maps. It's not like they're actually strong, they ain't moving anywhere fast lol
-
I think corrupt, ruin and pop are the better combo.
Corrupt stops the stupid early game where 4 people all spawn on separate gens. Actually allows you to build pressure and get the game in motion, plus big maps still exist.
Ruin, best regression perk especially when pressuring players. Really can help against those stronger teams but sadly it's a hex.
Pop, well its not even good tbh but its the most reliable regression perk. Sadly 25% of a gen isn't much due to the chance of 3 gens being worked on not to mention the time carrying,hooking and walking to a gen will cost you progress but hey better than surge with its multiple requirements for 8%
-
While the chapter etc. Is exciting I'm hoping for overall game health and improvements. Would be great If we have info on reducing the grind, map balance (size), buffing old and outdated perks etc.
-
@Gnarly said:
☆EDIT☆
-I am aware that the balance of the game with bigger maps make it almost necessary. I'm wondering if the perk is too relied on at times. YES I KNOW 3 GENS CAN BE DONE instantly depending on map, but that's a game issue ya know. Just annoyed by the overuse. I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH OF AN ISSUE WITH THE PERK, I HAVE THE ISSUE OF THE OVERUSE.
I mostly play killer, but I personally never use Corrupt Intervention. It's not a fun perk and it feels cheap at times. Sure it's gone forever and never reused after, but it's too rewarding. No skill required and it lockdowns a bunch of the map for killers.
It is in every build when I'm against a killer. Now I'm back at Red Ranks on survivor. Is it really that necessary? I never use it and can still Double Pip as a killer.
What can we do to have this perk being used non stop.
It's not even used all that much, but the reasons would be like you said balance. Big maps mean you loose and even on average maps if all survivors spawn separated you can lose gens fast even in a quick down. I dont blame killers using it, but by no means is it strong at all and I wouldn't even say it's over used. If it's not OP and people use it often that's saying theres another issue... early game. It's an alright perk sadly there arent more like it.
-
Chance of a swf is high, it's only a single red rank, all the others you are designed to match with. You MATCH WITHIN 7ranks, so it's only the one player out of place and that's like due to swf
-

The actual game should be what keeps people coming back, not the crap you have to grind out to enjoy it. But unfortunately BHVR don't really seem to care about that, they think the grind is necessary for people to keep playing. And if they're right, well...what does that say about the game?
Well actually alot of games rely on some of a grind to keep the players playing, look at the many looters shooters which people constantly play to just get that one piece of better gear but the grind in this game is too much, there should still be a grind just about 25-50% of what it is now. But I do get where you're coming from sadly balance and bug fixes arent the devs strong points lol
-
@Orion said:
Remove perk tiers (all perks would start at what is now tier 3).
Do you not feel that would take out any sort of grind? I do feel a bit of grind is needed as it keeps you aiming towards something and therefore playing.. plus I'd low key be sad of all the bps iv spent getting all tiers on everyone todate lol
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
This is a good example why the 8k Category Cap should be removed. Like, someone has maxed out on Objective Points, but still someone has to do Gens, so they do the Gens to actually win the game, but they dont get any points for it. This is just wrong IMO.
It's not like I was just jumping from gen to gen either I even maxed out chaser but no one was even doing gens during most of my chases, everyone was just rushing hooks/trading or being self caring in a corner. It's like if you play well and smart you get punished so I'm at a loss
-
I mean imagine being the survivors. Cant tell you how many games I did all the gens and the longest chases etc for my team to give up, quit or not even have an idea how to play all while being at rank 1. I'd happily accept the game you had lol
-
1. 5perks per web (you can now collect 3)
2. Daily for both sides can hold up to 6 challenges.
3.max bp per trial is now 40k, 10k for each category. Current scoring categories are increased by 15%
-
Could get a cheap pc? You can have filters and everything then as well if you wanted. Iv never quite understood why people get one system and then use another systems controls tbh but pc would give you advantages and more discounts across the whole game industry plus every game is m+kb then
-
And I verse like 4killers... RIP lol
-
You could just hit the skill check? It's not that hard not to mention I may wish to save my ds for another time and not use it right away... and people stopped using it because they dont get a free 60seconds. I use it on all builds still and I'm still carrying most matches and still get multiple uses daily. BUT I used it as ANTI-TUNNEL not a free immunity, perks fine.
-
Honestly the killers are hardly ever the issue, I can run most killers a long time but my teammates drop like flies. I hate hag and trapper most though, but for me the real killer is my team... I don't expect much but I expect them to do gens and actually try...
-
1. I know all maps, tiles, loops, can guess perks, know counters, dont rely on perks. Knowing timings for pallet saves, sabo saves, flashlight saves etc. Honestly very little more I can learn, only thing I can improve on is use meta perks... killer 1, just need to practice some of them but iv been playing them all since game release at rank 1
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/224819/the-grind-are-these-changes-enough-and-fair
Once a year dead by daylight releases a grind. We can get up to 250k a game...4games = 1mil...saving bloodpoints past a mil would break this event. Thinking prestiges are meaningless and continuing to spend 15mil to get all perks before spending like 4.5 to 5mil for p3 first....I made the mistake on two characters and many killers but the yearly event helps but it's the fact it's only yearly....
Well I didn't say anything about increasing the bp cap, as for prestige I said it's a waste and it's why it should be changed. There should be daily for both sides while more ways to increase the amount of bps you get
-
Only one I hate is the plague one, talking about luck that challenge in level 2 is stupid luck based especially when at high ranks. Wouldn't surprise me if 80%+ will farm this one or just not bother

If it's "just not a good perk", then it should be buffed.
Afraid not, there will always be good and bad perks. While it's a bad perk its balanced for what it is. There are alot worse perks, if selfcare was better medkits would pointless... so you cant make it better it's just one of those perks that isn't high tier or for high level play
-
It's an inefficient perk, it's not good. Especially if sloppy is a thing, honestly I'd happily verse more selfcare users than the people that dont heal and rely on dead hard. It's much easier to pressure people and gens when they spend most of the time healing.
As for the buff, it's not needed it's just not a good perk... plus if you buff it youd have an infinite medkit which would be a big issue especially for certain killers or the idea of causing pressure
-

Just farm dude, none of the killer challenges after the very first tome are difficult at all if you get over the mentality that some players have of "I need to do this legit." No you don't. Just get guys to farm and while they're healing do this twice. Ez
I can assure you the people that arent cleansing and all using DH etc. Arent gonna farm, these people have no chill lol. Honestly I like a challenge within reason but this just isn't that, it's just not possible unless the survivors are very very very bad and sadly most of those got reset to 9-15 so itll be ages till I verse them again lol
-
Telling me, I verse meta so often but my team will happily use urban and selfcare lol
