Adequate servers.

It looks cool (some of it, at least), but I haven't bought the DLC yet, so I don't have it. Might buy it in the future and then use it, though.
-
No, you're not the only one.
He is a very fun killer. And although his power doesn't make a whole lot of sense lore-wise, it still feels nice and fun to play around with. I have to say that I'm enjoying him. And just the fact that he's not what some other people wanted, doesn't make him bad in any way.
-

Wraith. Just the fact he can't be kicked out of his power by a janky mechanic makes him way better than Ghostface.
He still can be kicked out by flashlight from any position. And it actually gives him a long stun, unlike Ghostface.
-
@Seiko300 I mean, it's kinda funny, he would be a great singer. So yeah, it has its own charm. Just like Tommy Wiseau has his own charm.
-
Yeah, it would've been very cool to have the ability to choose any background and any menu music from previous chapters.
Although, it would've most likely ruined atmospheres of the following chapters' menus. So I doubt they'll give us this option, unless they are done with making new chapters.
-
I like it, it has its own charm. Having Joe Keery voice Steve and Natalia Dyer voice Nancy would've been very cool, though.
They have OG Bruce Campbell's voice for Ash after all, so it isn't impossible, I think.
-
Jules. Not even a question. Cool, talented, hot.
I would've voted for Demo, but he's my Big Boy, not waifu.
-
For now, Hag proves to be the most viable killer for me, as I get either 4k or 3k and hatch 99% of the time with her.
Demogorgon is on the second place, because I main him. But for more precise and correct info, I'm currently working on writing down my killers' statistics after every match (10 matches for every killer) in order to be able to make my own objective tier-list about the killers which I'm the most productive with. When done, it will be posted on forum.

Just stop and watch tofu video for proof it is a useless perk if you use it right away and not at end game.
"Some people don't use this perk properly, so this perk is useless" - that's basically what you're saying. It's like saying that Pop is a useless perk, just because a killer who uses it doesn't know how to kick gens. Or saying that Hunted Grounds is useless, just because a killer who uses it can't manage to find survivors, while the oneshot effect is applied. DS isn't useless. It's situational. Not the same thing. The very opposite.
Just like Unbreakable. There will be lots of games, where you won't even have to use it, and it will feel like a waste of perk slot. But in some games the whole squad will be slugged and even one Unbreakable, used in a smart way, can change the game pacing TREMENDOUSLY. Just like one DS stun can change a very lot. These perks aren't called "Meta" just because entitled killers find them annoying. They are called "Meta", because they can ruin killer's momentum, thus changing the outcome of the match in the end.
"watch tofu video" Which video? He doesn't have a video called "decisive strike is useless". Is your proof - John Cena? Because I can't see it.
-
Self-Care + Botany might be useful in solo queue, though Inner Strength is still better in a sense of time wasting.
Bond and Empathy are basically permakindred, just with different conditions.
I actually find it very fun to use combo of Ace In The Hole and Plunderer's Instinct.
Spine Chill + Resilience is very useful if you are good at looping.
Also I recommend using Decisive, because if you are solo, then there is usually no one to help or protect you from being tunneled.
Left Behind and Sole Survivor might be okay, if you don't give a single damn about teammates (though I don't recommend it).
I play solo 99% of the time and can say that it usually just comes down to what you feel like you might need in a match. So there is no guarantee that someone here will tell you exact build you'll be always happy with. Just bring those things which will help you in situations, where you are not that good (like aura perks for positioning of teammates and killer, exhaustion perks for more efficient looping, or maybe anti-tunnel / anti-slug perk if you are sure that your teammates are of no use.
Also, don't be afraid to experiment with not-meta perks, which you personally find interesting. It might be fun too.
-
If you don't get distracted on addons and offerings and just go towards two perks right away, it shouldn't eat it.
Other thing is that it does consume a perk, when you get another perk. Usually it consumes the strongest ones (rank 3 purple) first. So if you have two perks which are rank 3 purple and two perks which are rank 1 yellow, you won't be able to get both purple in the same bloodweb level.

I never understand this act. If you hop in locker you actually saving my time downing and picking you up. And on top of that you waste your ds.
And if you don't hop into the locker, your DS will disappear by the time killer downs and picks you up. By getting into the locker, on the other hand, you increase the chance of getting use of your perk, stunning killer and getting into a more safe loop (and getting use of it might be crucial if you are on your death hook). Maybe it not always works, but it is a smart thing to do. Also, if the killer is very afraid of the DS and you know it, you can just bait it, even if you don't have the perk. That way you'll get killer off your ass in no time, without any actual effort made.

Pop is the only best gen regression perk in the game and I wish it get a buff for 50% too and BBQ well everyone use it just to see where everyone is at but is not necessary if you familiar with maps and if you use whisper or thinker then you fine but BBQ is a must need on some killers like Freddy.
Don't tell me that you actually think that DS is useless and it's not just another s**tpost lmao
-
...
... because of the way it is used?
-
Yeah, PGTW is also useless - why does it regress 25%, when it should regress all 100%? And BBQ too - who even needs those double BP? smh
-
Because that wouldn't be fair, as survivors wouldn't be able to do anything without stepping into PH's goo. You still can place it around hooks, gens and gates, but it always way more useful to put it in the loops, pallets and windows, where survivors won't be able to crouch, because they either get a hit or get tormented. Seems good enough for me, don't see in what world it should be nerfed or buffed.
And his ranged attack is neither slow, nor predictable, if you are facing a good Pyramid. Good Pyramid has none problems with his attack. Plus, torment doesn't give you any actual map control against non-potatoes, who watch their step. It's just a way to kill them faster instead of putting 'em of third hook and also avoid grasp saves and hook-related perks (like Decisive and Deliverance). This thread feels like whining.
-
If I had to pick one, it would be the Deathslinger. There simply isn't one thing that isn't good there. Very interesting to read, very exciting to visualize. Vengeful Caleb is amazing. That's the character I would watch full-length movie about.
if I had to pick multiple people, I would add Spirit, Plague and Legion to the list, probably. Spirit was the first character, who had actually thrilling backstory, with strong pacing. Plague had lots of effort put into her development, which is admirable, including the period of time she came from isn't explored much. And athough there isn't much originality in Legion's backstory (or Frank's and Julie's backstories, to be precise), as they are basically teen canadian Manson family, I always liked how much you can do with them headcanon-wise. Same goes for Ghostface - he has a great baseline, which you can expand pretty interestingly.
As for licenses - I've always been a fan of Freddy Krueger. But only the original one. The remake backstory, which is what DbD went with, is kinda a big flop imo, not only they haven't taken any new direction with him, but they also took away all the scariness from his backstory.
-
Cosmetic is just basically a golden suit jacket for Felix. Nothing extremely different, like always.
Blight seems like a fun killer to play. Felix's perks might have very cool synergies. The choice is yours, though.
I personally am going to buy it with money, most likely.
-
If you revv chainsaw for a long time you'll automaticaly go into tantrum. That's basekit. This addon extends the time you can spend on revving your chainsaw before getting that juicy moaning cooldown.
-
Hag would probably my second choice, esp. on maps like Saloon, where you literally cant see her traps, because of how similar the color is.
-
Chillin', doin' gens, turnin' round and WAZZUUUUUUPPPP

With the appropriate perks and add-ons, Myers can be a jumpfest. Rarely happens though sadly.
I would argue that it's actually a good thing that it happens rarely. I fell like if it happened more frequently, it wouldn't be that jumpy.
-
Well, unlike Billy and Nurse, Huntress was never considered OP S-tier. Her addons truly need some tweaks, esp. gamebreaking oneshot. But rework isn't needed, so I'm not sure she'll get one. Then again, Billy also needed only addons tweaks, instead of a rework.
-
"people can play this killer efficiently, so let's nerf him!"
Hell yes! I also have seen some Clown making 4k, he's obviously too OP, needs nerf immediately.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It is based off who is better overall, not just the ranged attack.
Oh, than Executioner for sure :D
-
Now, I personally think that Pyramid Head is overall better than Huntress or anyone else in this list, especially when played right. But if we are concentrating only on the ranged attack - Huntress is definitely is the best one.
-
Walleyes Matchbook is probably one of his best addons. S tier for sure, recovery ones are the best.
Knife Belt Clip and Night Vision Monocular should definitely be way higher, somewhere in the A, I think.
Telephoto Lens, I would say, is a little better than this tier list says.
Driver's License is completely useless. Addons that increase movement are merely a meme, not that good.
Other than that, everything is more or less somewhere there.

Because that's how every other game works with a Review system. OverWatch is a prime example of it. If I give a player a positive review, or "endorsement", they get points allocated them for future loot box and shows other players that he is a reliable player. If I give a player a negative review, or thumbs down essentially, I don't have to play future games with them. If I get a Blendette who essentially sneaks around the outside of the map and uses Self-Care constantly instead of getting healed, I've no desire to play with that individual which would result in a thumbs down.
And as I've stated, if you give a Positive review of the Player, they get Kudos which COULD in the future be used to reward players for good gameplay. Just as giving a Negative review of the Player allows you to avoid future games with them. Idk what about this concept is hard to understand.
Well, giving some players an actual award for getting props is a cool idea. But it doesn't require rework of this system. They then should just make it so that every prop gives a small amount of free BP (10-30k) or smth, I guess. And as I said before, if you don't want to get into lobby with player, then just add them to your block list - there's no need to add "negative reviews" for that.
P.S. this concept is not hard to understand, but you literally said nothing about rewarding players for getting props, so how I should've understood that right away? lmao... You only talked about how you can't prevent players from getting in the same lobby with you in the future (although you actually can, as I mentioned in my very first post in this discussion and in this post too).

Since Crossplay has been activated, wouldn't be that small. Also, didn't complain, I actually proposed an idea of fixing the Player Review System because that's what it's supposed to be.. a PLAYER REVIEW. There should be more options than either "They're a good Player" or "He cheats/didn't play the game".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1578791#Comment_1578791
Yet all the things you mentioned (with the exception of Hook Suicide because being banned for that isn't a thing), is something that BANS a player. I'll modify my post to word it more clearly but the point is that I shouldn't be given 2 options of "He's a good player" or "He violated an in-game rule that's justifies being banned" so I'm going to report him. There should be at least 3 types of "Reviews".
- Good Review of the Player
- Bad Review of the Player
- Player is being reported for XYZ
How can you "review" player by seeing him only in one match, though? No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and a player, who was useless this match might be the MVP of the next match and vice versa. Reviewing player by only one game is like reviewing 2-hour long movie by watching only 2 minutes from it. Extremely subjective and closed-minded, thus, unreliable and unimportant.
The system that is in-game now is completely fine by me. You can give props, which have the same effect as 'like" on the comment and won't do much, but you at least gave appreciation to the player. And you can report player for cheating and breaking the rules of the game, which will help devs to find and block such unfair players.
Besides, what would those good/bad reviews do? What should devs do with all this information, that comes literally only to them? How should they react to reviews that are basically saying "this guy didn't break the rules and didn't cheat, and technically he played fair, but I don't like that he didn't help me and that he wears that shirt, so here's my bad review" or "this guy saved me, he's the best, he's so very cool, believe me"? And, most importantly, why should they care about subjective feedback of one player about another player?
All and all, it's a game, not a review site.

So you want a blacklist option to not play against people who don't play as optimal as you do? Sounds reasonable, Lowtiergod, but let me ask you this. How small of a population you want to have to play against after being left on hook many times after, having the killer being led to you, and many other things you find annoying hinder your attitude towards randoms? Complaining about the issue won't solve it.
My dude. There is a difference between situations, where people just can't do anything because of the pressure killer has and situations, where people intentionally avoid helping others even if they are more than safe to do so (and they know that). More than 50k players log in this game daily. And not everyone is a pityful Blendette, who knows nothing but hiding until the hatch spawns, or a genrusher, who will let all his squad die just to finish those sweet shiny sparkling gens. Not wanting to play with such people in the future seems pretty reasonable, actually.
-
You have the opportunity to not play with them in the future by adding them into your block list. Don't know about consoles, but it works on Steam alright. And you are wrong about the ability to report only for cheating. There are also such categories, as "Unsportsmanlike" (idling, disconnects, 1st hook suicides), "Intentional Game Abuse / Trolling" (taking game hostage, unprotective bodyblocking, sandbagging etc.) and "Communication Abuse" (insults and harassment in post-chat). So, cheating isn't the only thing that is bannable.

Exactly, wanting to encourage new players into the game is not "simp".
I'm male, and straight, have no girlfriend at the moment, but doesn't mean I'm "simping" just by posting a long comment to her.
This is a really toxic game when you get into its core, but also really fun and complex if you go to high levels. You can learn a lot.
I just wanted to make a nice and a little bit crafted comment to encourage this new person just that. Because not everybody is toxic in this community.
Aight, straight boy-man-person. Greetings! I'm gonna write this once and I hope that interested people will read it, before starting to chew this misinterpreted bs again in this thread anymore for literally no reason whatsoever, bc it's tiring.
That was a joke. And I fail to get in what world it should be explained that it actually is a joke, and not an insult of any kind.
If you spend at least some time in the internet meme community, you would most likely know that the term "simp" has lost its core meaning a long time ago and since became a running meme, which is used anytime a person (literally anyone) is being nice towards a girl in any way. Literally any way. Even just saying "hi" counts. But that is the point. That is the joke. It is absurd sarcastic humor, but still a humor. And it's sad that most people see only their understanding of "humor", ignoring everything else and refusing to understand other people, before jumping to conclusions and ranting about how "wrong" those other people are. Ranting about something that isn't even there. Bruh moment indeed.
And if you actually just want to make a nice comment, without any intention of getting affection points, I don't see how you should even care at all about "simp" comment. Moreover, if it wasn't even addressed to you.

Oh gosh, I figured there was a small chance that your second reply could have been at least a partial joke, but considering how snotty a majority of the people on this forum can be out of nowhere, I wasn't really banking on that LOL, especially since you're not even close to being the first person to have assumed I was a guy (unsurprisingly, considering it is a male dominated community! :) ) and that I was acting too sweet or warm (or "thirsty") to a woman, when in reality I'm just happy to encourage/connect with another girl in a sea of dudes LMFAO
If that's the case, my apologies for getting testy immediately, but it should be somewhat understandable on my part! I don't like to snap but every few replies like that I just go "ok THAT'S IT!" LOL

If you make it past endgame as survivor, you were never tunneled in that game, because tunneling means chasing the same survivor the whole game or untill they die, not going to down unhooked survivor.
Tunnel vision might change through the course of the game. Tunneled person is not always the same person, who killer sees first. And there are usually more than one tunneling targets. So if you were not tunneled before the endgame, it doesn't mean that killer won't tunnel you after the endgame. When the endgame kicks in, such perks as NOED come in play, and killer, who couldn't have gotten some survivor (because they either hid well or were amazing at looping), can easily get the very same survivor down in one hit. Then the "camping/tunneling" situation begins and not having DS doesn't feel like a right thing to me.
So I don't think disablement of such perks as DS in the endgame (or any perks at all, really) would be fair (especially if they fix DS, so that it's actually anti-tunneling perk and not invincibility perk). Because the only problem with this perk is that it's not used as it is intended to, by many.
Moreover - endgame is not intended to make a life harder or easier for any of the sides. It's just a timer that makes sure that game will actually have an end, preventing slick dumdums from running around the map for several minutes after all gens are done and both gates are open.
-
Don't see what's wrong with grinding.
It's either that or incredibly stupid situational sh*t like take a person from the locker while using Iron Maiden or smth.
-
It should deactivate when you are not tunneled, that's it.
If you are tunneled off hook during the endgame I see literally no reason for it to deactivate.
-
Her counter is unpredictability. Simple and hard at the same time.
If she doesn't have Stridor - Iron Will cocks her pretty heavily. Perks that disable scratch marks might help a lot. Also, rarely though, you can hear her footsteps.
-
Well, if I'm not mistaken, their age is not stated exactly anywhere in the lore. It it said, though, that they are teen high-schoolers and that Frank is the oldest one, so I would guess it's something like that:
Frank - 19 y.o.
Julie - 18 y.o.
Susie - 17 y.o.
Joey - 18 y.o.
At least these are the ones I used in my headcanons. Julie and Joey, though, might still be 17, like Susie.

Sure, but if they will be secret they will be more swf abused because the killer won't know where they wanted the hatch is because they just need to put 2 same offerings and the hatch will spawn where they want
They have a key + they bring a secret offering. Put two and two together - there are only 2 places where hatch can spawn to these offerings. Plus you can see their profiles, if they are on Steam, to know if they are swf. Plus you can bring Mori if you are that desperate against keys. Or just dodge the lobby. I don't think it will be abused that much. People cried about 2 second breaking hooks, calling it OP, when in reality it happens once in a million matches and half of the time unsuccessfully. Even toxic swf will prefer t-bagging at the gates, rather than hatch-teching every game, believe me. Plus, if they want to escape all together - they will still need to finish 5 gens in order for hatch to spawn.

As far as I know, devs stated that all rift skins will be available in the stores some time after the rift closes. I would guess it includes community ones too. Although I don't know when exactly they are going to actually add rift skins to the store.

Demopls is the most fun to play for me, good big boy, getting those STBFL stacks, showing that handsome flower of his.
I agree that Blight has the potential to become one of the most fun killer to play as.
