No, they are not useless. Actually ones of the best addons on Billy, apart from maybe Lopro Chains and Mother's Helpers.
First, it gives you even better mobility, making you faster, which in a lot of cases is huge. Second, it helps a lot with getting curve hits on loops.
Decreased charge is actually not a big deal for the most part, really. The only real problem about it is that it overheats your chainsaw faster (because you are charging it for a longer amount of time), so it'll be harder to snowball quickly if survivors are all near each other. In the same vein, it's gonna be harder to do quick downs and last-second window hits, BUT you still can rev it up prematurely, and that's where the speed bonus is gonna help you too.
Pros are much bigger than cons, either way. So yeah, Engravings are great addons, even in current state. Although if you want to use it to its full potential, you have to be skillful with Billy, unlike before, which, arguably, is a good thing. Don't use both of them at the same time, though.

Well, Mid-Chapter live release along with all its changes (Coldwind, Freddy nerf, Demo and Huntress changes, etc.) is expected on May 4th.
So, unless BHVR decides to delay the date, that's when it comes out. The first level of next Rift will most likely come out the day after.
-
As for streams I, personally, value the atmosphere the most. If streamers plays well, but makes a big deal out of themselves, thinking they're the best and every opponent they face is either a loser or a cheater - I'll most likely drop 'em. If streamer is chill and fun to watch - I stay. If streamer has a nice personality and a cozy chat - I stay. Examples of that, among well-known ones, could be Otzdarva, Paulie Esther, Yerv, Umbra and Scott Jund. Despite Otz, Umbra and Scott being on a more of a "pro" side of players, they don't play to prove something to someone and are always eager to point out a good play on opponent's part and accept their own mistakes. Their streams consist of fun matches, curious talk and interesting ideas / tips from them, not inadequate entitlement or toxicity.
If I need something super skill-based, build tests or mega-educational stuff, I'm most likely to go on YouTube and look for videos and VODs.

call me unoriginal, call me crazy. F13 would make a great chapter. camp crystal lake would be a great map along with tommy and jason as characters. i highly doubt we'll get it due to legal issues and because we already have trapper who is basically wannabe jason.
Well, Hillbilly is a wannabe Leatherface and we still got Leatherface.
So the main problem here are legal issues, Trapper being inspired by him is not something worth worrying about.
I'm sure BHVR will be happy to take hands on Jason as soon as they can, with how iconic and important this character is to the world of horror and slashers. Besides, Resident Evil has RE: Resistance, which could've been an actual competitor to DbD if Capcom ever gave a damn about their online side-projects... and we still are getting RE Chapter. So existence of F13: The Game is not an issue either.
-
Welp, my pick number 1 was already announced. Resident Evil Chapter is up to release in June. Hurray, can't wait! \0/
Other than that, I still very much want to see Outlast and Candyman chapters. My third pick would be IT and/or The Shining, with either Pennywise or Jack Torrance as a killer - I think it would be dope as hell. But I would be happy to see any Stephen King media in DbD, really. Doctor Sleep, Misery, Cujo, Pet Cemetary - anything you propose, I'll take it.
I don't think that Alien is a good pick, despite my deep love towards the first two movies and the amazing fan concepts people have. Same for Quiet Place, it's fine as it is without any game-adaptations. And I don't even consider Predator to be a part of horror-culture - he's a creepy-looking alien, yes, but his movies are more of a popcorn action, than anything else (not that there's anything wrong with that). As for the FNAF series - I dunno, I don't think it's a must-have #1, but I wouldn't really mind if it shows up in the future... at least it's better than Happy Death Day.
-
Blind hatchet hits through half of the map are priceless.
-
Depends on the character though. If I really like them and I haven't yet got a lot of perks on them, I do.
On survivor side it doesn't really matter how much perks/items/offerings I have on them in order for me to prestige them, 'cause I already have a survivor with all full-3 perks and there is not that much difference between survivors. I have Kate, Steve, Yui, Cheryl, Bill and Nancy P3-50'd. I am also planning on prestiging everyone else in the future.
On killer side it depends mostly on my perk progress with them and whether there are cosmetics for each part, which I like more than prestige ones. For example, I will never-ever prestige Legion and Trapper, because I already have all perks on them and other skins, so there's just no point in doing so. Right now I have Pyramid Head, Leatherface, Freddy and Trickster P3-50'd. Pig and Demogorgon are P1-50'd and I'm not planning on getting them higher any soon, as I'm completely fine with having only bloody "weapon" slot.

It sounds like one of the survivors found a Dull Key or Skeleton Key in a chest somewhere on the map, and then both located the hatch and escaped. The hatch spawns when more generators are done than there are survivors alive, which in this case, 3 gens done and 2 survivors remaining, would be correct. The key would force the survivor using it to jump through, but the hatch would have been left open for the last survivor to jump in behind them.
But from the sound of it, maybe they opened it up and ignored it.
The OP says quite clearly that no one escaped. If key usage forces user to jump in, there would be at least one survivor, who escaped.

I think that more perk slots should be added
FOR BOTH SIDES
It would add more variety to builds, potentially shake up the meta, and make the killer more powerful because now they aren't as limited as they were before.
Please, if you think I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong. I just think it would be interesting and honestly it would finally allow me to play True Buff Dwight
That if the players are going to use low-to-mid tier perks that synergize well. But no, fifth slot will only give more meta, which will be even-more-full-crutch builds for survivors and even heavier gen-defence builds for killers. It only will make the game even sweatier than it is on high ranks.
And I'm just talking 5. Even more perk slots would be completely unbearable for literally everyone.
-
Saw soundtracks are great and "Hello Zepp" (as well as all variations of it) is a very iconic piece of music.
So yes, would be amazing to hear it during chases at least in some way.
-
Well, just like killing survivors isn't the only killer's objective - repairing gens isn't the only survivor's objective. That's why the Emblem system was created in the first place, so that players get rewarded for adequate multitasking, instead of just holding M1 non-stop or facecamping every single hook to ensure a kill.
So yeah, survivors should depip, if they literally do nothing but genrush and escape. That's why good loopers are considered to be good players on higher ranks, while people who stealth from start to finish are generally frowned upon.
And to add more about the whole "who won". Winning isn't based on your opponent depiping. It's based on your personal results and mindset.
-
Billy has oneshot and very high potential for mindgame.
Trickster doesn't.
Simple as that.
-
They are very much existent. It could be another design from Silent Hill games or, again, a completely original one from BHVR team.
It all comes down to Konami, really. They hold license and they decide if BHVR can add new cosmetics to their property.
Either way, it doesn't mean that his cosmetics will for sure come out very soon. With license characters you never know, really.
-
It's not bannable and I don't think there's even a way to know a person stretches their resolution, unless they are streaming.
Plus, it doesn't give any sort of advantage really. Stretch-survivor is still very much killable. Stretch-killer is still very much loopable.
-
Well, survivors who I drop from shoulder near hatch go in it very well, so it's definitely not a feature, most likely some sort of a bug.
-
That's a hard one. He needs some practice, although he isn't very hard. But most importantly he needs time.
Objectively he is very weak on high ranks at the moment, therefore he can be considered bad. But at the same time he's very fun to play as and has a lot of potential. If devs give him some love and buff him in a serious way, he very much can become a good killer, great even.

Hear me out here :
Starstruck + Iron Grip + Mad Grit + Infectious Fright + Agitation new meta.
With that you'll not only be able to zoom accross the map and one shot everyone while carrying someone, but you'll have have managed to use 5 perks at the same time.
That said, all jokes aside, agitation synergize pretty well wiht Starstruck, especially that Terror Radius while carrying part.
It's literally a meme build
-
The perk being efficient against bad survivors doesn't make this perk meta.
-
2 million BP
should be enough for starters
-
"Hexs are just too weak right now"
Tell that same thing next time you get 5 tokens of Devour Hope or get massive gen regression across the map thanks to Ruin.
Though I doubt it happens with you, including the fact that you even created this topic.
There is no hate here, buddy, your suggestion is just biased. That's it. Be ready for criticism when you put on ideas on the internet.
-
So that some noob killer can camp the living hell out of this totem? Totally not biased request, yes.
-
It can work.
It will kill the game and suck all fun out of it though.

ok so basicly, if the say the n-word, thats bannalbe i tihnk.
Everything else is free game, aloth, if the harass you after the game and keep doing it, i think that's also bannable.
but saying "gg get gud" or "ur bad" i dont think that bannable. also, the devs are adding a explitive censor option in the next chapter (like 2 ish weeks from now)
How "gg get gud" or "ur bad" can ever be bannable anywhere? lmao. It's not even an insult (at least no adequate people take it as such), it's just comparatively innocent trash talk. Same with "ez", "babykiller", "noob" or smth classic like "boo hoo it's just a bad map and not my main killer otherwise i would've killed you all on 5 gens, please believe me, i'm really not desperate for attention and not overcompensating" lol.
-
Well, BHVR can ban them only for actions they made in the game. If you were harassed in post-game chat you not only can report them, but should - there is a separate block for exactly it and it is actually a bannable offence. So reporting them in-game definitely helps, although cussing isn't prioritized as much as, say, hacking (which is understandable, knowing that most people just butthurt in chat and don't actually mean what they say). Then again, if the player harasses people in post-game lobbies constantly - they will get banned.
But if they proceed harassing outside of the game - for example on Steam - the only thing you can do is report them on, well Steam, through Steam Support. As it is already a Valve's problem, not BHVR's. Steam isn't BHVR's property, so they hold no accountability for what happens there, and they frankly shouldn't.
AND I don't think that you'll get paired with them in-game after you blocked them. Never happened to me, at least.
-
Smol brain mentality to say otherwise tbh
-
They are named differently. That's it.
-
And it's also a puking material. At this point it should really be the Plague's map, not Wraith's.
-
As a rank 1 killer I get the struggle of going against well coordinated SWF. It is annoying as hell, yes, but it doesn't mean you can't possibly win them. You still very much can. You just lose your right to make any mistakes and if you don't make any and play perfectly - you might still kill 3 or even all 4 of them, even after a bad start. Though, it would require using "unfun" strategies as slugging, tunneling and proxy-camping when needed. And it would require having a decent build.
Non-tournament SWF are basically as strong as 4 experienced solo survivors with right perks. So it's not like they are actually so incredibly oppressive to the point where it's OP, it's just an illusion a lot of players have, when they go against survivors, who have the same level of experience as them or even more. After all, it's not like you always gonna win and never gonna lose.
And it's not like taking from people ability to play and talk with their friends will fix any issues. If anything - it will only add more.
-
Well, the Iron Will doesn't really mute you, I feel like you misinterpreted perk's description. It just makes your grunts 100% more quiet. While Stridor makes it 50% louder, basically reducing survivor's IW from level 3 to level 1 (and with 1-2 lvl IW you still make some noise). Therefore, Stridor does not negate Iron Will completely (unless your IW is level 1), it just makes Iron Will a much weaker perk (counters it basically).

to get a mercilles you need to (preferably) get all of the hooks + other categories maxed out, which i did. You can't get max points without doing everything perfectly
You don't actually. You can get a Merciless even without maxing everything out on 32k. Pretty much depends on killer's capability.
-
Same goes for the survivor perks though. Appraisal is getting nerfed too.
Although I don't think you would get any fun from CdG even in current state, unless you decide to just meme instead of playing normally x)
-
So calling all bald people "Vin Diesel"/"Bruce Willis" and calling all people with glasses "Harry Potter" is considered a joke and playful exaggeration, but somehow calling Elodie "Claudette" is an offensive statement? #########?

@DerZuntor said:
I only played two matches. Using victor is fun but it's dumb that survivors can just go into lockers and victor can't do anything about it.
Well, you can bait them out by double-backing on control teleportation.
-
Perks are not ideal, some seem interesting but they all are buried by cooldowns and tokens. So I don't think they will be that much useful.
Power, though, is amazing. VICTOR IS THE BEST BOY. Jumping around as him is literally the most fun thing ever.
Concept-wise and power-wise it's the most original killer we had since Plague. And I love this killer incredibly! They are so much fun to play! I don't know yet if I'll be able to use their power efficiently on my high ranks, but I'll try that's for sure. And if I will actually succeed, then I think I might have pretty much found my new main killer.
-
I love the Pig. Can't please everybody.
-
If you are talking about immediate escape from your shoulder, it's most likely Decisive Strike (Laurie's perk). Survivors can use it only once per match and only after being unhooked or unhooking themselves. The only way to avoid it completely is to not pick up survivors, who have been unhooked, for the period of 60 seconds (1 minute) after the unhook happened. Or another way is to play as Pyramid Head and use his torment-cages power, which completely avoids all hook-related perks.
Two other perks which might help survivors escape your grasp faster are called Breakout and Flip-Flop. First one boostes up wiggling speed, when survivor with this perk is near the survivor, who is on the shoulder. Second one gives survivors some wiggle progress for free, if they recovered long enough while being on the ground. To avoid these just make sure it doesn't take you too long to get to a hook. Then again, these two perks are very uncommon to see, unlike Decisive Strike, which is used by a lot of people.

There's already a lot of chapters in the game imo. I would prefer if one dlc in each year could be sacrifaced for the gameplay balance like for example:
We don't have a proper graphics settings, gameplay perfomance on reworked maps sucks, moris and keys changes, killers like pig, clown, legion etc that desperately needs an update, most of the perks in game needs a tweaks or complete rework, an annoying bugs like being stuck on the hill in reworked macmillan maps, bugs that were reported a while ago and since today they wasn't fixed and many many more changes that were promised so many times by the devs.
As far as I remember, devs already stated multiple times that two different teams are working on balancing the game and creating new content. So it's not like "ok, we're gonna focus on the new chapter and ignore the gameplay", it's more of a "ok, these guys are gonna focus on the new chapter and these guys are gonna focus on the gameplay". Chapters and gameplay-things are being looked at and worked on simultaneously.
That's why they said that there will never be a "health chapter", they are working on it constantly already.
-
The only thing luck affects at the moment is chance of unhooking youself. Ace In the Hole has nothing to do with hooks, so luck has nothing to do with Ace In the Hole. The only perk which is connected to luck is called Up the Ante, and it's also Ace's perk, so maybe that "someone" just mixed them up.
-
Frank's Mixtape is literally one of his worst and most useless addons. I can't comprehend how bad at the game you should be to DC against it.
-
I'd say if you like one, you'll almost definitely will like the other. Both are speedy boys and both are extremely lethal in right hands. Oni's controls in Dash attack are a bit easier to get used to, but it takes more time to charge your power. On the other hand, Blight is a chase monster at all times. His ability to catch up to wounded survivors can be overshadowed only by Nurse and Spirit.
Personally for me, Blight is more fun to play, so I'd give preferance to him. Also, by means of difficulty Blight is closer to Nurse, but the process of learning on Blight imo is way less annoying than on Oni.

I'd argue Ghostface just because no one sees it coming.
With Demo, Pig, PH, Huntress and Chainsaw Boys, though, you can avoid detection of NOED after first down. Ghosty will reveal it after first hit.
-
Also, NOED goes well in any Endgame build. Remember Me, Blood Warden, Fire Up, Rancor - these are the perks you can synergize it with. Unless you don't have any gen-defence perks and are using NOED as a replacement for it.
-
I fail to understand how anyone can think that unreliable perk, effect of which can be destroyed before it's even activated, is overpowered.

Should also point out - them having the globe against an Xbox player doesn't mean they aren't on console. They could just as easily be PS4, or Switch.
Just another mysery added into the bunch. We'll need a Sherlock for this one!

My mistake - but judging by the perks, it is a new deathslinger. He also may just not be good at shooters. Either way - this is a post about a killer who brought an ivory mori. Like, honestly, big deal, lol
Well, he could have just prestiged as well, so I guess we'll never know that for sure :D
-
Competent SWF survivors are basically one of the main reasons why gen slowdown is such an important thing to have. So... No way at all? The only way I know in which you can play without any slowdown whatsoever (would it be Pop/Corrupt/Ruin or just Thanata/DL/addons) is playing from Endgame or from massive slug. In the latter you'll have to look out for Unbreakables and will most likely need Deerstalker.
Being good in chases is really not enough at all. Even if each and every single one of your chases lasts no longer than 10 seconds (which won't happen against competent SWF, btw), you'll still get your generators fixed in literally no time. You need to be able to pressure gens, if possible - constantly. Clown, for example, is all about chases, yet he is still considered to be one of the top-3 weakest killers by practically everybody at this point. So, if you don't want to sweat like a crazy man in the middle of Death Valley, you HAVE to have at least some sort of slowdown against good SWF. Otherwise - gens will be done.
Complete absence of slowdown works only when you face.. well.. dumb survivors. With them, though, you don't really need perks at all.

How do you know it's a Deathslinger on console?
Well, he assumed it because of the globe icon. But the thing is - Novalium is a console player, which can be seen in his HUD.
So that Slinger is a PC player, and most likely not a new one.

Does anyone else have this sort of bad luck of when you bring a bps the killer just finds you first, hooks you, then the second you get off mories you on the spot?
Asking because this is exactly what happened to me 5 minutes ago and my previous bps match, i dont know why but i seriously think this game just goes "ooo hes bringing a bps welp time to put him against another toxic killer"

This does happen, usually I get found first, when I spawn on the furthest side of the map and instantly go to the closest gen. Roam around the map a bit, look for several generators and maybe totems, chests, etc, and try to not be detected - that's what I do if I have no desire to be the first one to get hit. No counterplay against Mori-gamers, though, sadly. Unless you use DS+locker tech.

As of last night, it was not fixed. The Deviousness challenge works fine on certain killers (Legion), but doesn't work right on others (Blight for instance).
Huh, haven't faced that. I finished it with Legion and Leatherface, worked fine. +4000-8000 every match.
Survivor's challenge, though, should be working for sure.
-
It was a common bug, yes. But as far as I know, it was already fixed. Got mine two-three days ago easily.
