  • The Plague. A good person and faithful servant, who had good intentions, yet got corrupted by Entity's deception. You can see both in her bio and tome lore, that she is truly loves her mentor and cares for her people. Still, her faith in her gods is what ultimately led to her demise. Tricked by the Entity's signs, she did what she thought was the only right thing to do. She killed her mentor, as much as she didn't want to. She sacrificed herself, hoping to protect and save her people. If you think about it, she's one of the few original killers to date, who wouldn't actually kill anyone, if it wasn't for the Entity's direct influence on her.

If we are talking licensed characters - Bubba is a pretty tragic character too. A man with child's mind raised in a horrible family of cannibals, who only use and abuse him as they want. No love, no caring "family", just people he grew up around and had to stuck with, 'cause others would never welcome him.

  • I think breakable walls should be a side objective for survivors, so that by wasting some of their time they could create a stronger loop for themselves, maybe even semi-infinites (that would urge killers to actually break them). In the same vain, if they choose to concentrate on main objectives (gens and saves) solely and ignore creating of walls, they would get much unsafer loops, leading killer to getting pretty much free downs. That way, it would be much more of an interactive mechanic, rather than boring "here are some walls, so that killer should waste time breaking them at the start of the game for no reason" we have now. But that's just the concept idea, it could probably be changed up a bit.

What level does the clown need to be to have that addon on the web?

Well, addons spawn randomly, so it doesn't matter.

I play on PS4. But I did throw a bottle at the survivor as it wanted for the challenge. The one I'm working on is B.Y.O.B. "Hit 2 survivor(s) directly with the afterpiece tonic bottle as the clown. - Complete this challenge in a single trial." Which I did, but it's not registering in the game. I've done it multiple times, and it hasn't shown it's completed.

For this challenge bottle should directly hit a survivor. Not a gas that comes with it, but a bottle itself. You can try to use his iri addon Redhead's Pinky Finger that lets you oneshot survivors after direct hit with a bottle. That way, if you oneshot survivor after throwing, you'll know for sure that you DID hit them directly with a bottle. DCs might come with usage of this addon, though, as this addon is extremely annoying to go against. If it doesn't work either, then maybe it's bugged - then just wait until Pinhead comes out I guess, should be fixed by then.

  • What do you mean? You literally just press M2 and throw a bottle.

  • Pharmacy clearly.

Not a single other perk gives you a 100% guaranteed green medkit on your first search. It's so fast that Blight had to retire, when he saw its speed. It's so green that it makes you blend with grass better than Trapper's traps ever could. And the unlocking speed MY GOD! The last time Plague tried to drink from the fountain as fast - she choked on water and was hospitalized by the Entity's Ambulance.

  • You know that spamming literally the same message across numerous threads on the same forum won't make devs apply your wished changes, right? I mean, it's great when people have ideas and are passionate about something, I applaud you for that. But when they spam those ideas non-stop on threads in every single category you go to, it's a little bit wa~a~ay too much, don't you think? x)

  • When you get to red ranks you'll get queued with yellow rank teammates regularly. So it's a neverending cycle, don't worry about it.

That's the bone you're picking, out of everything I said...? Ok then. I want it to be her snarling, because that seems more realistic and immersive to me than a lion roar for a pig. She has some cool snarling soundbites, use them

As I said, the 'soundbites' you are talking about are ALREADY in the game. If you never noticed it, then listen closely. You want "realism" in a game where a guy can run a hundred miles with a chainsaw in his hand as if he had an everlasting engine up his ass and where an ordinary ice-cream man can get hooked on a rusty metal twice and be hit with a sharp deadly weapon gazillion times and still somehow not die.

And you 100% ignored the part where I said that it's a direct homage to the Saw movies, where a very similar animalistic snarling is heard during scenes, where a person in Pig's mask abducts a victim. Doing justice to characters in relation to the property they've been taken from is thousand times more important than realism, as it's the franchise's fanbase they are catering to with the licensed DLCs in the first place.

  • I know it's the least important part of document, but somewhy it pinched me the wrong way.

"Getting rid of the lion roar in favour of Amanda herself snarling would be awesome"

This makes zero sense. Female squeal, heard at the end of some growl variations, already implies that it's her snarling. Aside from the fact that in real life people can perfectly replicate animal sounds, it's the Entity's Realm we're talking about - things do change and get twisted. Phillip turned into a ducking walking tree-like-creature here, Mandy making animal noises isn't anything unusual. Plus, in first movie similar sounds were present in the scenes of Adam's and Lawrence's abduction. Scenes didn't share the same growling, sounds were different (despite it being same movie), which implies that it wasn't a recording, but rather the abductor's intimidating growl/snarl. So not only it makes sense lore-wise and 'realistic'-wise, it's also an homage to movies. A~and in the video you attached yourself are sounds, which already are used in game.

  • My ticket to being the greatest secret agent to ever exist.

  • I like how survivors don't ever have to take killer's feelings into account when they genrush, tbag and save their teammates by using BT and bodyblocking. But as soon as the killer even has a tiny thought about camping or tunneling a survivor for even a second - it suddendly becomes such a big tragedy and survivors get all bummed up about it as if it was something more than a silly asymmetrical online videogame. Boo hoo.

    are you ok? like mentally?

Sure we dont know what is going on.... mostly because BHVR chose to not tell us....they could simply say that they no longer get access to the IP, nothing essential disclosed there so no problem.

You are making up one scenario to clear BHVR, I gave another option to ermm condemn them, either could be true.

So my "BHVR bad" and "dont give em money" is not out of place and does make sense...

And it was the point of the question, "will you be buying skins" asks really more then a simple yes or no as you can tell by the answers given, I just provide more information for potential buying choices but as said multiple times, its up to the consumer to choose, same goes for you so not sure why you are getting so upset by a possibility given.

seriously think about it, what if BHVR just came out and said "well we can no longer provide the ST content because Netflix no longer extends their IP usage for an undisclosed reason, as such we have to pull the ST related content from the game for purchase so this is your last chance to get that content if you want it and as a celebration of the good times had, we are putting it all on a discount as well. We also would like to inform everyone that should the opportunity arise that we can get the IP back in the future, we will"

Then I would be singing a different tune, but as is....and know what BHVR has pulled in the past (lock sets), I am rather skeptical of their actions.

It would be not out of place if you said something like "no, I won't and here's why:", instead you gave no answer of your own and made it about everyone else who might potentially buy those skins and characters. And you did it in the most patronizing way possible. It's one thing to express and explain your own opinion, and completely another thing when you shove it in other people's faces every chance you get, although the question wasn't about "BHVR's greed" and the comment itself doesn't add completely anything new or valuable to the conversation about it.

I am not "clearing" BHVR and the fact that there is no specific information on the situation makes your words no less of a "making up" than mine. All I did was give another perspective, which is much more plausible giving Netflix's previous ways of dealing with ST license (and the fact that Netflix is going out of their way to appeal to gaming market by creating a whole new segment for their platform). If they value gaming market so much, they wouldn't be pulling from the literally biggest asymmetrical action-horror game to date, unless they knew that they can possibly make even more money out of their ST product somewhere else. Like, from their own game, where all money will go directly to them.

But I guess "BHVR greedy" is the only answer some people can think of, firmly ignoring the possibility of anything else being in play. After all, they are so greedy that they renewed every single previous license, yet decided "you know what, this stranger things license which is one of our most profitable licenses to date? yeah, let's get rid of it, too much money to pay. don't even care if in a long term we'll lose even more money bc of it", right? But I am not the one, who recycles the same idea over and over and over again every single time ######### hits the fan with DbD, so I guess it's me who is not ok mentally. I'm sure Vaas would have something to say about this lmao.

  • Wraith might be more fun to play AS. But Billy is the best killer to play AGAINST by far.

  • @BioX said:

You can do whatever you want, but think about this:

You are rewarding BHVR with more money....for spending less money on the game and thus on us.

You are giving them money they otherwise might not have gotten for NOT spending money themselves (of which we know they have an obscene amount compared to other devs) to just continue the license.

its your wallet, your choice, just know what you are doing.

I mean, we don't know jackshit about what was the problem with the continuation of license.

If it really was a money thing, BHVR would most likely be still able to keep everything in the game for everyone, just not be able to create new content (such as skins) on it. Yet, they are not able to keep it for everyone, they are removing all content in its entirety (which, btw, means that they will no longer get ANY money from the Stranger Things ever, and that's a lot of money). So it most likely was in Netflix's business interests to take Stranger Things back to themselves, especially if they plan on creating a new game that might be considered a "rival" to DbD. And besides, Netflix pulled out licenses before, even with Stranger Things. Same thing was with the game that showed the events between seasons 1 and 2. I'm sure the same thing will happen to the game about season 3, before the season 4 drops. That's just Netflix being Netflix.

So your rambling about how "BHVR bad" and "dont giv em money" doesn't make any sense and really is out of place. Besides, it wasn't the point of a question, so you are basically going off topic for no reason. Like a person crying out about civil rights on a nude beach.

  • Third point isn't relevant with the SBMM that is currently in live testing.

I don't play Ghostface other than for his dailies, so for the past 6-8 months I played as him maybe 3-4 times total. Yet two days ago, while playing as GF, I got an extremely efficient and well-organized group of survivors, who destroyed gens in less than 8 minutes and demolished me at every loop by playing them perfectly and making almost no mistakes at all, showing their skill and knowledge of map's layout.

At the same time, I play Pig and Legion fairly frequently, because they have been my main killers for a long time. Yet yesterday I had, like, 5 or so matches in a row with 4 total pepegas every time, for both of these killers. In none of these matches did they manage to finish at least 3 gens before getting stomped on with me barely even trying. And the maps did vary a lot, from Autohaven to Ormond, from Coldwind to Haddonfield.

So with killer that I'm bad at, I got 4 really good survivors. Yet with killers that I consider myself to be very much good at, I got 4 complete potatoes. Last time I checked, that wasn't the idea behind skill-based match-making, so I really don't know what the hell is going on with it. Lack of any sort of transparency about it doesn't help either.

  • With Hellraiser coming to DbD, BHVR automatically gets connections to Clive Baker (creator of both Hellraiser and Candyman concepts). Plus, they have some sort of a connection to Tony Todd, which I guess everyone knows about by now. So Candyman might not come this year, but there is a high chance of him getting into the roster next year, if BHVR already has licenses planned out until then. As for FNaF, I think that with departure of Scott and him looking for a worthy successor, it might take some time before there is even chance to seriously talk about collab.

  • The teaser itself imitates the scene from the first Hellraiser movie, when cenobites make their first appearance, with TV, static, red flower and everything. All the letters to date pointed towards HELLRAISER, not Springtrap. It's Pinhead, get over it. I get wanting your favourite license to come to the game you like to play, but you are just making stuff up and lying to yourselves at this point.

Sorry can you explain how your posts work. This is my first time looking at one of these.

Red is the path of challenges that you complete and collect. The ones that are circled in yellow are challenges that you may complete, but should not collect until you'll need those BPs.

  • Pig, Legion, Cannibal and I guess Nemesis.

I really like Doc, Oni and Bing-Bong too, though I don't play 'em as much somewhy.

  • I mean, great Spirits are plain boring to play against, bc you can't really do anything. But mediocre and more-or-less good Spirits might be pretty fun to verse actually. Especially when you have perks that obscure your position, like Deception.

  • Nurse for sure. I love back-and-forth of constant predictions with her. Dodging blinks is pretty fun to do, really. Not much you can do against the God Nurses, though, but at least match will be over very soon and you'll move on w/o having to disconnect lol.

Trapper, Slinger and Nemesis's zombies, on the other hand, are a total nightmare to face. Peak of annoyance, along with Hag.

  • If you can't loop the killer and keep them in chase for long - even walking Nurse might feel like a fast killer.

  • All I can say is that thanks to the cakes I got a chance to easily and relatively quickly P3 Jill, Quentin and Nea, and P3-50 Nemesis and Leon. I really wish that cakes in bloodweb or Bloodhunt were permanent, huge time saver. Everything else, though, felt unimaginative and repetitive. Seems like that promise about seriously focusing on two events, including the Anniversary one, was flushed down the toilet.

    Like most promises are anyways...

  • I passionately love Stranger Things and Steve is my second-in-command among survivors, but Hawkins is such a pain in the ass as a solo-survivor and not particularly fun as a range or any basic non-stealth M1 killer. And don't even get me started on how freaking horrendous it is for Nurse.

Midwich is one of my most favourite maps by far. As for RPD, as the time goes I more and more think that it's just a matter of getting used to the map layout - as soon as you understand all possible "ins and outs" it's pretty okay. Especially if your opponent side isn't particularly used to it. Haddonfield should be reworked and some tiles on it are busted, but I don't think it's "the worst".

  • It's not an exploit since the game lets you do it w/o any third-party software and it clearly isn't a bug. Therefore it shouldn't be bannable or reportable. BUT, it does give an unfair advantage to the final survivor who's still in the game, so it's a problem that has to be fixed. BHVR recently added bots to the game, which according to tutorial training matches really seem to be much smarter than most of my random teammates, so I don't see exactly why they still don't replace disconnecting survivors and killers, to be honest.

  • @gatsby said:

So Dark Sense but worse. Reverse Lightborn aura reading. And Stake Out

As if every single perk in the game is already completely unique. Chill out.

  • I feel like you're taking this game too seriously, my dude.

The only toxicity in this game are douchebags, who write hateful comments, insults, slurs and harass people in post-game chat. They are truly toxic, but thankfully rarely do they appear. Clickity-clackities and genrushing, similar to hitting hooked survivors and tunneling are just a part of the game that shouldn't get into anyone's head really. Besides, your example has nothing to do with sweat or real toxicity. Not a single truly sweating team would bring flashlights - easily the weakest and the most counterable item in the whole game. If they wanted to sweat, they would bring toolboxes with BNPs. Most of the people with flashlights are merely memeing, some of them are doing Archives or just trying to get better at the game. It's not that deep, believe me.

I know how it might feel sometimes, though. I'd advise to take a deep breath, exit the game and do something else for an hour or two. Most of the survivors are potatoes either way, it's just that the hardest matches may stay in the memory much longer. Bring Franklin's or Lightborn if you see multiple flashlights in lobby and know that they'll probably bother you.

  • Easier to play without getting a headache for sure.

  • He did not become much stronger. Yeah he's a bit more annoying in chase and still will destroy you out in the open. But he lacks map pressure and all it takes to exterminate him is 4 decent survivors and somewhat high loops. Plus his power makes even less sense, because it gets treatment of being tactical knife throwing (like Huntress), but the core power itself still resolves around spraying survivors with a lot of knives (which now is a much more annoying and difficult thing to do, to be honest). He's still C strength-wise.

W/o nerfs to knives he would be a definite B, maybe even low A.

He did extremely go down fun-wise, though. He used to be in my top-6. After the "buff" he's not even top-15.

  • Being serial killer and having abusive father doesn't make you racist. And there's no indication of "racism" in his lore whatsoever, he kills and collects fingers from people of all genders and races he can. It's just a pointless guess with no back up lore-wise.

  • Seems to work fine if the there are at least two units of the addon.

  • If it's other players - then it can be anything really, you can never really know unless you're in swf. If it's you and you're on Steam - make sure the Steam itself is online, Valve do make more-or-less frequent maintenances, during which they turn off servers for like a minute or two, which leads to you being disconnected from online games at that point. It might be that. Might be bad optimization if you're on console.

Although I would agree that yesterday there was an inadequately huge amount of people disconnecting from both sides.

    Today was normal though.

  • The guy literally has two sentences in his bio.

it also doesn't take much skill to loop or hold W as survivor, lol

i just don't see the problem with bloodlust, as someone who plays mostly survivor

you can be as smart as humanly possible and if i, the survivor, know how to run the god setups, unless you're playing an insane anti-loop killer like deathslinger or nurse, i'm going to run you for at least a minute while barely breaking a sweat

"it also doesn't take much skill to loop or hold W as survivor, lol" oh, so it's not enough that survivors have that boring routine? lol

It really shows that you play mostly survivor, friend. The amount of hits good killer gets thanks to bloodlust is laughable - in 9,5 out of 10 chases bloodlust is neither useful, nor needed. Painting it out to be actually good and healthy mechanic is ridiculous.

Is it a top priority or an incredibly important issue? Hell no. Is it outdated af and needs to be revisited in order to become something healthy for the game and actually useful? Yes, very much so. Initially bloodlust was meant to shutdown numerous infinites, now, when infinites are practically non-existent (unless killer makes mistakes and survivor is a god-tier player who doesn't even know what "mistake" means) it usually only helps out low-skill killers who wouldn't know how to loop for their life and eagerly ignore pallets only to get that juicy bloodlust.

And I am saying it as someone who plays mostly killer.

let me just drop chase in this overpowered rng that will cost me the match, find another survivor

oh wait, the time to find another survivor is pretty large, but it's probably worth it

oh wait, they're just running to the same overpowered setup

well i guess i just have to find another survivor who will be kind and not abuse it

So it's better to keep bloodlust, rely on it and promote skill-less holding of W among killers? Weird logic, but ok. Gotcha.

There are barely any "overpowered rng" in the game as of now. Most of such tiles are winnable by (what a surprise!) playing smart. And in cases, where having brain isn't enough and the tile is basically an infinite - break a pallet or a wall, instead of wasting time on bloodlusting.

  • Sir King, as far as I know, isn't a huge fan of videogames in general, so I really don't know if BHVR will ever manage to get an agreement with him for it. Still, if they will - it's gonna be the most hyped release for me to date (despite my love towards Resident Evil, Stranger Things and Saw). "The Shining" was always my favourite King's novel and I just love aesthetics of Kubrick's adaptation. So yeah.

I want to believe. But it's hardly believable.

  • Wesker is unironically my favourite character in the series, but it's just never gonna happen.

He's a 100% pure antagonist and is known for being such, he is not a survivor material whatsoever.

The only legendary skins for Leon I can see coming in distant future are Carlos and Barry.

Heck even hitting them with it. Still requires more effort than Freddy's which is basically "hit 4 people"

You don't even really have to hit anyone for Freddy's daily. Just wait, they'll fall asleep in 60 seconds after the match starts lmao

  • It should really be something like "Down 3-5 survivors with a Tentacle Strike".

  • As I thought, it was a matter of getting used to it. I can't even watch on the old HUD anymore with a thought "that was actually much better".

Dear devs, I really hope you don't listen to this kind of completely absurd posts. This forum is apparently completely KILLER SIDE to dare to ask for a Dead Hard change omg. Imagine asking a change for Dead Hard xD! You're really forgetting that the Killer goes at a higher speed than the Survivor, and has the Bloodlust to catch up with the Survivor. Stop with this kind of posts sincerely... Dead Hard can be countered very easily, and has a reload time. You must be the same kind of person who asks for a change on Borrowed Time. Most people who use it don't even know how to use it properly. Against an experienced Killer, Dead Hard is mostly used for distance, to get to a location that you couldn't get to without it. The game is in very bad shape right now, this is not the time to come and pollute it with these kinds of requests.

This forum is neither killer sided, nor survivor sided. If you think otherwise - it means that you are never even present on forums, and your 9 comments only prove that. Both sides are allowed to have their opinion, biased or not, it's their right. And your whining doesn't help the conversation.

  • NOED is just plain boring. It's not a weak perk, but it doesn't feel neither fun, nor actually rewarding. It's just like "oh, well, they beat me and the game is lost, but at least now I'll get one free down if they are nearby, or maybe if they are extremely dumb I'll even get value out of it more than once". I just really feel like it needs some reimagining and slight rework, not a nerf or deletion or anything like that.

The only problem with Dead Hard is that half of the time players get exhausted on the ground. Still, it's more of a latency issue, doesn't have much to do with perk itself. It's easily baitable, it's not as annoying as Sprint Burst. And unless survivor is a somewhat decent looper, they'll get no value from Dead Hard whatsoever anyways. So yeah, it's completely fine in its current state and the only problem with it is inconsistency.

  • Left 4 Dead license was added back when 'licensed chapters' wasn't really a thing. Sure, we already had the legendary Halloween franchise in, but the next license would come out only around half a year after Bill's appearance in the game. Back then it was more of a nod to Valve for using their Steam platform (similar to many other games, which include likenesses from Half-Life, L4D, Portal and Team Fortress out of pure respect towards Valve and their accomplishments), rather than actual serious "license deal". Now, though, after the release of the Tome lore and update to Bill's face - he does feel like more of an important part of the licensed gang, not "just a nod". And although we have some skins for Dwight, Meg, Claudie and Jake, we have Boomer charm and appearance of Zoey, Francis, Louis and Tank in Archive video, I'd love to see something more valuable to come out of it. New killer and a new map (Port from "The Sacrifice" map, which is Bill's place of death) would be an amazing addition. Also, it could bring a new mechanic of survivors having to bring gas cans to generators to start 'em, just like in Left 4 Dead.

Close second would be Saw. I just really love the film series and would love to see at least something new other than updated Gideon.

  • @GlamourousLeviathan said:

Out of these franchises, I can only see Resident Evil having another iconic killer to be added. There's still Dimitrescu or Jack Baker to be added. Okay, there is no killer from Left 4 Dead yet, but they aren't as iconic as Resident Evil's.

    Bruh.

The Witch and her cry have been around for more than 10 years and made cameos in multiple TV shows, videogames and even full-feature horror film (The Cabin in the Woods). Baker's been around for less than five years, while Lady D isn't even one year old in her life of a videogame character. No cameos anywhere on their part and, outside of 7, Jack appears only in Re: Verse. Say what you will about "coolness" or lore or visuals, but Witch objectively is MUCH more iconic then these two combined together along with every single other antagonist from RE7 and RE8. Same goes for the Tank, the Hunter... hell, even the Boomer. Nemesis and Wesker might be more iconic than them, yes. Maybe Birkin and the Licker are somewhere at the same level. But that's about it.

  • For the most part, this game is Entity-sided. Because both sides get cocked a lot.

  • I guess you don't get Autohaven maps much, bless you.

  • He has no other cosmetics after all lol

  • Dead Hard rewards players for being smart about it and wasting as much of killer's time at loops as possible. If survivor is bad, pressing E won't get them to safety, only to death. If killer lost the game or chace because of Dead Hard, it's because killer is bad, not survivor he goes against. Same goes for NOED - if killer gets to use it, it only indicates that survivors don't give a single damn about anything but gens. Their fault. Especially if killer somehow gets value out of it more than once.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 14
