  • Zombies need a brain to function. Nemesis stomps survivors' heads.

  • Since when did Albert become Adam?

As much as I love Wesker, he doesn't fit into the "survivors" category whatsoever, he's been an antagonist throughout his whole Resident Evil history and is known specifically for it. Not in a single game was he a "good guy" or anything close to that. Sure, he might see himself as the "hero", but in reality he's simply a villain with god complex. Even in the first one, where tried to seem like a positive character half of the game. Hopper might work.

As for other characters - Ada Wong is the only RE character I would buy a legendary skin of.

And for Stranger Things it would be Robin and Billy (only if they look adequately and reminiscent of Maya and Dacre).

  • Although I enjoy Trickster for what he is and like the idea on non-stop throwing mechanic, the concept of his power is basically Huntress 2.0 (but you are not guaranteed a health state after hitting the object, you don't get to save the progress of your successful knife hits if you don't keep hitting long enough (unlike Plague) and you get nothing else out of it other than purple circle filling in HUD). Even Legion gets something out of his Frenzy - not only free health states, but also information on survivors' location. Although they don't get anything else, it's already more versatile than Showstopper. And don't even get me started on The Main Event - it's objectively the very worst and the least consistent special attack in Dead by Daylight's history, hands down.

  • Objectively - D tier, because even the weakest loop in the game with a single pallet is already an infinite against him. Simply running in a straight line, as stupid as it may sound, is an incredibly strong counterplay in his case.

That being said, "Jumpscare Myers" isn't a default Myers, it's a gimmick. So it should be a "Meme tier", above any letters.

He loses(twice, later when they're adults) to a group of small, scared children who LITERALLY call themselves the LOSERS CLUB. He's not too strong. Freddy is a demonic, powerful entity in himself and he works just fine. It could absolutely work, but there are many others I'd like to see first.

The thing is - although Freddy has full power in his nightmares, he's not the one in charge in the grand scheme of things (even aside from DbD). Freddy didn't get his powers out of nowhere, Dream Demons gave it to him for his vile nature and killing skills before death. IT doesn't have any "Entities" above it, who would be an essential source of its power, only enemies equal in strength. Although it's a nice pun for rap-diss, those "small children" aren't ordinary kids, they are kids with strong and well developed superpowers (so-called "Shining"). And IT's been around for centuries, if not millennia, so it's not like it was "well, my very first and pretty weak enemies have beaten me" situation.

And plus, Freddy's just a demon. Not a multibillion-year-old cosmic entity. If anything - IT and DbD's Entity are equals.

  • I don't even know who you are...

  • To be fair, Hotline Miami is not and never was a horror game. And that aspect alone makes it an unfit license for DbD.

It’s also dumb to have ruin undying tinkerer blight’s destroying solo players easily

Blight will never destroy a team of survivors, if he's bad and they are good. So, already, it's not the perks that give Blight ability to destroy solo players easily, it's his high-enough skill and lack of skill in said solo players. Current Ruin does nothing if survivors constantly sit on gens. Same goes for Tinkerer - killer will get almost 0 value out of it, if 2-3 gens trigger it at the same time. So yeah, do gens and break bones when given chance. Giving Tinkerer cooldown is almost as non-sensical as giving cooldown to Empathy, Alert or any other info-perk, triggered by the killer, rather than survivor.

  • I'll be honest, I personally never was into the Fatal Frame series, simply because I had no chance to experience it. Probably because it always was more of a Playstation players' thing. But I heard a lot of great things about this series, and recently started watching Gab Smolders's walkthrough of it. It seems interesting. Plus, many people call it the third most iconic horror series in videogame industry (after Resident Evil and Silent Hill), so I don't see why not.

  • If killer was the one activating Tinkerer, then maybe.

But survivors are in charge of triggering it, so giving it cooldown would be just dumb.

can you remove running to the corner of the map in a straight line? No? Bloodlust is needed for this and overpowered spawns like t wall into gym into shack

I'm sorry but bloodlust does nothing against players, who run to the corner of the map. Killer's movement is faster than survivor's by default, so you'll catch up to a survivor running in a straight line even before BL1 kicks in. As for overpowered spawns - knowing when to drop chase and when to start it is part of every killer's skill cap. If killer loses the game, because he spends his whole time on bloodlusting in chases - it's killer's problem and killer's mistake. And if survivor isn't good, then not a single spawn will help them out.

  • Increasing repair time on gens means making solo-queue even more unbearable than it is right now.

Making players hold M1 even longer is simply bad design.

  • Well, maybe not entirely removed per se, but it should be revisited and changed for sure.

Bloodlust is outdated and boring mechanic, which has no place in modern Dead by Daylight whatsoever.

  • If I can record games even when I forgot to turn on OBS - that's more than welcome.

  • Back when BHVR cared enough to make them cool and engaging.

If a killer lost a match because of a DS... they shouldn't have tunneled.

The perk got gutted into becoming a true anti-tunnel perk, but if a killer claims that they lost "too much" or the entire match, they shouldn't have been greedy for that person because THAT person can not do anything productive for the next 60 seconds. However, if the killer decides to HARDCORE tunnel which has happened countless times, the perk should continue to work. Let it do the only thing it does... Borrowed time is designed to punish campers, but it works multiple times. Why? Because it serves one function just like DS. As for UB, it has a secondary effect that can pose as a good strength after the perk has been used.

If a survivor wasn't able to use it after first unhook, then they have a second chance after second unhook, cool. But if the perk managed to work after first unhook, then the killer has more incentive to tunnel you after second unhook because they know that the survivor already used their DS. The perk no longer grants survivors safety while being productive so why can't it be more effective at the one thing it does?

I play killer at rank 1 and rarely ever see that in use. Why? Because I don't want to make someone's experience miserable so I never tunnel. I want them to have a chance of playing the match. If you don't tunnel as a killer, then the perk does not do anything.

If a killer lost a match because of a DS... Teammates should've defended their own.

You say you are a rank 1 killer - then you should know that sometimes tunneling is not a vile wish of a killer, it's a necessity. Sometimes it's not a scam tactic, it's the only way to put pressure on the game, because you need someone dead ASAP when they're not. Sometimes it's not a killer who purposefully tunnels, but a survivor who blindly and voluntarily runs into a killer. In the latter case a survivor (not a killer) is the one making mistakes, but is he punished for it? Nah, they get a free escape only because they can hit a skillcheck.

As I said before - you don't buff something that is already meta. Unless, of course, you nerf it at the same time, in order to compensate. If survivor gets an multiple-use anti-tunnel meta perk - it should shut off once they aren't the ones tunneled anymore (as in, once another survivor was downed or hooked, no matter if they did anything productive in that period or not). Just giving it 2 uses is simply giving survivors more tools to dominate the match. And giving it to the side, who already has numbers, is simply a bad design.

  • @DbD_Enjoyer said:

DS should be Remove from the Game, but it probably wont, so the best we can hope for more nerfs such as:

    • The perk is disabled once you get to healthy state.
    • The perk is disabled when you try to open a chest.
    • The perk is disabled when you attempt to blind the killer.
    • The perk is disabled when when you take a protection hit.
    • DS becomes an exhaustion perk.

    This trolling isn't even amusing.

    -------------------------------------------------------

The only reason why DS shouldn't be used more than once is because it's a huge time-waster and one of the only survivor perks in the game, which quite literally can make the killer lose the whole match by one single use of it. You don't buff something that is already meta af. There is a reason for why you can use Unbreakable only once per game and why Lucky Break effect isn't permanent. Same goes for DS.

  • There is, actually, a difference between Leon's hairstyles. In purple skin it's longer. So it's only Jill's problem.

But yeah. They weren't sets at the release. And they shouldn't be. #UnlinkTheSets and remove a headpiece from Jill's purple skin.

  • Right after fixing Quentin's face.

  • Chris looks like Josh Dun on this poster, not gonna lie. And I kinda dig it.

  • The thing is - some objects having bad collision or no collision whatsoever can actually help, it's basically a question of getting used to it and getting more and more knowledge about his power and many tricks it provides. So-called "buttery" objects, when used right, can actually be the primary reason of getting a hit on the survivor. Then again, consistency would be good, sure, but I don't know how easy or hard the process of making right collisions for one single killer actually is.

  • Monstrous Shrine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt Pyramid Head a "god" too?

The only killer in current roster, who is close to being a "god" is Freddy Krueger. He is basically a god in his world of nightmares, where he can be anyone and do anything. Still, in the Entity's Realm, Freddy becomes merely a puppet of the Entity and loses most of his strength. As for Pyramid Head, he's simply a "guard" of sorts, he isn't human, but isn't "in charge" of anything in Silent Hill either. He is just a punisher, an executioner, a humanoid monster created from the sense of guilt and remorse. Pennywise's true form (IT), on the other hand, is a very sentient being, which came from the Macroverse and lived for the billions of years, feeding of people and their emotions (similar to the Entity herself), so it's gonna be tricky to adequately add him indeed.

  • Now, if the King's creation will ever come to Dead by Daylight, I would rather prefer the Overlook Hotel and Jack Torrance, as I love Shining (both book and movie adaptation) much more than IT. BUT, I would not be against it whatsoever. Pennywise is probably the most iconic fictional clown, aside from maybe the Joker and the story itself is pretty popular even nowadays, thanks to recent movies, so a lot of people gonna be stoked for sure. Even better if killer's power turns out to be super-fun and perks turn out to be strong and/or interesting.

  • Little late for the question and probably irrelevant, but I personally use low settings for the most part. It gives out the best performance and the best visibility, gameplay-wise it just makes the most sense. Most people would agree - you don't really care about shades of shadows on this generator and that wall, when you are mostly focused on chases and your opponent's location. Now, I could play even on Ultra with steady FPS (and I would, if, for example, I want to look around the new map or see new skin in action), but I see no point in doing that, especially on horrendously dark maps like Autohaven, where on Ultra and no screen configuration it's just pitch black 90% of the time.

  • Umbrella charm is inseparable part of the DLC itself. If you gift friend a DLC, friend will get Leon, Jill, Nemesis and Umbrella Corp. charm. All you'll get from this purchase is Steam Points for Points Shop. If you want to buy a charm for a friend and for yourself, you'll have to buy the DLC twice.

I am sorry that confused you. Strength of killer is based on experience with the killer, game sense, etc. Since she is terrible to play, and people play her less, more often pigs are weaker than other killers when I face them. That is my perception, and why I stated it as such. Hopefully that helped you a bit.... but it sounds like you are more interested in trolling a different opinion. To say a killer is strong, people have to be good at them or want to play them. Twins is super strong, but players play like potatoes because they dont like playing them, so they have little exp. That is always how the eb and flow of dbd, if you play more, you get better and killers can appear stronger. I have played against many nurses that were easily beatable... but that does not detract from the fact that she is the strongest killer, able to counter pretty much anything survivors do, but nurse is not played as much as many other killers, because of skill cap and playstyle (per forums and feedback)

I am not trolling, the first comment just didn't make much sense and it seemed like you simply named a killer that you dislike play against the most, rather than "the weakest killer". The thing is, when the conversation goes about solely killers (rather than specific players), it usually implies every single one of these killers is being played on the highest level possible. After all, it's "the weakest killer in the game", not "the killer, whom beginners play in the weakest possible way". Otherwise Nurse, who in the hands of beginners is just horribly bad, would be "#1 worst killer in the game" - she even has the lowest average kill count per game. But that's not the case, and there's no Nurse in the poll (and see, somewhy you count Nurse at her highest and others in poll like Trickster at at least mediocre level, but think of Pig only at her lowest).

That being said, although I agree that Pig even at the very best isn't higher than low-mid, she isn't objectively "the weakest" killer as she has numerous mechanics that might come in handy: stealth, antiloop dash (which can also be used for zoning) and a unique game delay mechanic, which is her reverse beartraps (that become extremely deadly and dangerous with certain addons, increasing her killing potential even more). With that in mind, it can be concluded that she's a pretty versatile killer with a lot going for her in the match, so I just fail to comprehend how can she be thought to be "the weakest" by anyone, when there are likes of Trapper, Legion and Tier-I Myers.

In any case, although your choice of words in the first comment was very much contradictory (like you first said that Pig is weakest and chose her in poll, but in the very same comment stated that, no, she's actually stronger than at least Trapper and Legion, whe she's played well), I can respect another person's opinion and agree to disagree on that.

  • @MadLordJack said:

For one reason and one reason only: Bamboozle.

Sure, maybe that means Bamboozle is the problem, but I also ######### hate killers that chew through resources. We should be promoting the opposite of that.

The poll is about Bubba, the killer. Not Bamboozle, the perk.

  • Without the addons, his Bell can be heard at the range of 24 meters.

With Bone Clapper add-on it affects whole map. With Coxcombed Clapper add-on it doesn't make sound at all.

Huh? The Oni is human. He just wears the Oni mask. Pyramid Head and Demogorgon are the only non-human killers we have. Freddy and Nemesis are both former humans but I'd argue they also count as non-human.

I guess he means that in the Entity's Realm Kazan basically transformed into an Oni, a demon. He used to be a human prior to that, though.

As for Nemesis, it never was a human really (the only place where he was are Anderson's movies), it's a Tyrant, which although has some biological connection to humans, is still a bioweapon in its entirety, artificially created in the lab. Freddy in his current form is a Dream Demon.

  • I don't feel like it's very fair to put licensed characters together with original ones, as licenses aren't really a natural part of Dead by Daylight and have had the following far before the DbD was even created, hence why a lot of people gonna be biased. That being said, as much as I like them, I don't take Nemesis, Demogorgon and Pyramid Head into account. So, we're down to Doctor, Oni and Spirit.

Now, although I believe Oni's lore being far better than Doctor's, when it comes to the sole "killer" aspect, Herman Carter has no competition in this poll. Unlike Spirit, Doctor isn't a victim of circumstances, he isn't a "forced killer" who simply seeks justice against those, who hurt him. Unlike Oni, Doctor doesn't hide behind the mask - he has a metal headgear, yes, but the horrendous face we see under it is still his face. Unlike both Yamaokas, Doctor isn't a supernatural undead being, so it's easier to relate to this killer is the sense of believability. He's not a demon, he's not a ghost, he's a human. Maniacal and completely crazy human. Moreover - he's not only "close to objective reality", he is based on the actual real-world person, who is still alive and well. It's not the revenge that drives him, it's lust for power. His laugh, the way he enjoys every murder he commits and every experiment he conducts; he isn't someone going after those who he hates or feels disgust towards. He is a man of his own interests, which go beyond the emotional aspect and reach rather a rational aspect. His rage doesn't feed him, his intelligence does. And a man, who knows what he's doing and gives thought to every detail of his atrocities is far scarier than a man, who acts on impulse.

  • @Dodgingbears said:

people that put trickster weaker than trapper and legion... that is only true for new players or bad players. Legion and Trap daddy only get 4ks against teams that throw. Legion can at least counter hook diving and short loops. The other two cannot.

I put pig mostly because I hate her playstyle. and that she can see boxes, but I fully admit that played well she is better than the aforementioned killers. Clown on this list is kind of crazy to me. he is solid mid tier. not the best, but certainly not the worst, especially with chase potential.

"I fully admit that played well she is better than the aforementioned killers"

So you are basically saying that Pig isn't the weakest, and that she has strengths that you personally dislike (like seeing boxes), and that some players who play her are bad ('cause they don't know how to).... and that's why you picked her in the poll about the weakest killer in the game? wut?

  • I can't say for sure if I will, but aside from my passionate love towards Resident Evil franchise, I liked Nemesis as a killer a lot during PTB. So I will try to play him a lot. And if this trying will lead to efficient results, he'll become my new main for sure, sharing "the crown" with Pig, Cannibal and Legion. If not... well... I guess I will play him occasionally for dailys. So yeah. It depends.

  • It depends on particular map, but for the most part reworked ones are better. With Thompson House and The Game being, probably, the best visual reworks to date.

Grass is very bad, to be honest, but everything else is wonderful. The only reworked maps, which I highly dislike compared to the old ones, are Autohaven maps. It just feels like they sucked all soul out of it, made it darker for no reason and changed its green-ish color to puke-ish color.

  • Very unpopular opinion, but I really think that Midwich is the best one. Probably, it's just me, though.

I used to really hate Midwich gameplay-wise. But the thing with it - it's has very little room for RNG, which is a consistency that I love. Therefore, as a killer, I really like this map. I know every tile and shouldn't worry about BS pallets (hello, Gideon) or windows (hello, Lery). I also don't have to worry about enormous sizes and inadequate quantities of rooms, which close out line of sight (hi, RPD). And dumb loops on second floors aren't a problem either (ahoy Hawkins). Midwich is just easy to understand and navigate as a killer, once you get used to it. As for survivor - it's still pretty simple, as long as your team isn't filled with potatoes. If it is, though, then it's pretty much guaranteed death lol.

Visually - RPD is the best one by a large margin, with Gideon and Midwich securing second and third places.

  • There is nothing outdated about NOED, but I really feel that it should reward killer for doing something pre-endgame (like hooking survivors, for example), rather than reward killer for doing nothing but waiting for 5 gens to get fixed. To put it simple - NOED in current state is pretty boring for both sides. To be fair, there is a big counter to it, which is called Small Game, so it's not OP in any way, shape or form. But it is boring. Killers should earn the NOED, rather than getting it for free by just being bad at gen control and map pressure.

And I'm saying it as a rank 1 killer, if that counts for anything.

  • Wraith's one is much more consistent, but Pig's dash is simply way more fun and interesting to use for the mindgames.

  • Big knife cone head man.

  • I like how both best killer lores in the game are at the same poll option. Adiris and Kazan are definitely the best by far. Legion here is the odd one out, as much as I love them, it's just a basic teenage-killer story with a sprinkle of Manson family inspiration, as for now at least.

  • It's kinda amazing how people are eager to write such long texts just to spit poison on something they aren't interested in and mock people, who are interested, and pretty well-made characters they like. And besides, it's impossible for every single chapter to appeal to every single player, with tens of thousands people playing Dead by Daylight every single day. So what's the point of ranting and poking fun at others?

  • Classic 2x is an optimal option, yes.

But this one sounds sick af. With it, DbD would actually become a horror game lol

  • It's not that it's horrible on its own.

But that's just not Dwight. Period.

  • It really depends on what you are looking for - cool character or good perks?

If you, first of all, are looking for perks - Adam is your choice. Deliverance is a very strong perk, which allows you to unhook yourself after you safely unhooked someone else. There are many situations, in which it's boosted af and will secure you escape (or at least give some sweet points to your emblems). Other than that Diversion and Autodidact aren't as strong per say, but they ARE pretty fun to use. As for Adam himself - he has one of the biggest stealth potentials in the game, so if you are that guy - he's surely a perfect pick.

As for other characters - Steve is my favourite out of the bunch, 'cause I love him so much in Stranger Things, but his perks are bad. So are Ash's perks. Cheryl has Soul Guard, which is practically meta (although not as consistent as Unbreakable), but Repressed Alliance and Blood Pact are both pretty much meh.

see the problem here is the fact that if you slug for the last kill survivors will hide in a corner so you dont find them so they bleed out and i dont get emblems for it

    Use BBQ or Deer Stalker.

  • I'm pretty sure that Crowns for new original characters will be either given out as codes or just awarded for logging in the game.

As for items - most likely no party starters (fire crackers). Not sure about 4th Anniversary flashlight and toolbox, though.

I guess BHVR will introduce new items, exclusive for 5th year, especially since it's the biggest milestone yet (people tend to value numbers with 5 and 0 at the end the most lol).

  • I main Legion and with certainty can say that Surge / Infectious is actually a pretty good combo on my masked bois and gurls.

I would, though, recommend getting something consistent for additional gendef, like Pop Goes the Weasel. And you can never go wrong with BBQ & Chili, which will give you more BP along with info on where you should go after hooking a survivor.

As for other mentioned perks - Discordance is good, but there are more useful perks. Knock Out and Deer Stalker are fine for situations where you just have to slug, but in ordinary games they won't give much use. As for Nurse's - the higher you go on ranks, the worse it becomes on Legion. It might seem like it's good on them at first, but with time you come to realization that it's MUCH better on stealth and range killers.

You can also always go for Ruin/Undying combo, although it's less consistent than Pop/Surge.

Thrilling Tremors is also a good pick, if you can play around it.

  • The only problem I see with emblems is that sometimes they are bugged and don't work at all, but their principles are completely fine imo. They award multitasking and skillfull approach to the game, while punishing abuse of facecamping and massive slugging.

While it's indeed not your problem that some survivors aren't altruistic and don't unhook, it kinda is your problem, if survivor bleeds out on the floor, as your primary objective is sacrificing, not slugging. If you don't want them to bleed out - then pick them up and hook, don't be afraid of DS all the time and don't slug them for a bait for so long that they die on the floor. Plus, it's not like survivors are 4 man slugged instead of 4 man hooked every single match. If in your case they are - then I feel like you really need to re-evaluate your strategies, my dude. Because the whole point of Devout is that you have to kill survivors through hook stages, not through waiting whole 2 minutes with all survivors on the floor.

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 14
